Very friendly and welcoming staff, booking online was easy with one minor login issue that was quickly remedied. Storage areas were clean, easily identifiable and accessible and felt secure. Price matching also meant that the price was great too. I would definitely use their service again.

Amazing customer service! If you need a storage unit in Reading, do come here! When I went to visit the storage unit in person, I was shown around by Jack who only joined the store 2 days prior. He was great and very knowledgeable of the site. I also spoke with Barney the day before on the phone and Sacha onsite while filling out all the paper work. They are all so wonderful and lovely people! I am actually moving storage units to Big Yellow from another local one however I wish I went with Big Yellow in the first place as the customer service here is 110% and they go above and beyond. So a massive thank you, to Sacha, Barney and Jack! :) They do also price match if you do find a unit cheaper elsewhere! so there is no reason not to come here and they have extended hours if needed. Would recommend.

First time experience with Big Yellow Self Storage. Completed joining instructions online with just one niggle adding a photo of my ID via a smartphone. As directed I received a courtesy call from Karl who confirmed all the detail. On arrival day I was met my Barney and Sacha in reception who were very welcoming (Sacha makes a good brew). After inspecting the room and learning the entry process with Barney I completed the e-paperwork and then loaded up my storage space. The Reading site is well situated, clean and tidy and feels safe and secure. I was pleased to see the facility has installed SolarPV to cover the electricity costs (#StopBurningStuff). Barney and Sacha provided great customer service and were welcoming and friendly.

Moving personal belongings can be stressful at times, however this simply was not the case for myself. This was primarily due to the extremely helpful and friendly staff. Their care for the customers was very apparent from the start, as such it made the whole process of moving in very easy and smooth. They offered plenty of help and went above and beyond with their service. I have personally never used a storage unit place before, so the whole process was very alien to me. Thankfully with the help of the brilliant staff members such as Carl, Sacha and Megan; they supported me and made the moving in/out process very easy. Customer Service was excellent. Not all the charges were made explicitly clear on the website, but were explained in full on arrival. Payment is for 4 weeks in advance (storage, insurance, and security deposit), then the difference is refunded if you use less than that, plus the security deposit. Facilities are also excellent.

Located off Rose Kiln Lane, most suitable for drviers as there is no direct public transport, but it's only a 10min walk from No.11 bus stop on Berkeley Avenue. The customer service was on point from my initial enquiry to moving in. On the day of moving in, I was shown around and advised of everything from storage solutions, to insurance and night access. In the reception, they also have a little shop where you can purchase various storage solutions, such as packing materials and locks. There are several trolleys and a fork lift to use which makes it convenient to move your items around the building. There are two lifts, toilets are located on the ground floor. Parking is available for both van and cars, there is also a bicycle store in the carpark.
