So I turned up without booking a table and they were all full. Instead of turning me away they really tried to accommodate me and managed to fit me into a tight slot. They did not have to do this at all and it goes above and beyond good customer service; which should absolutely be rewarded thustly. I ordered the Ronnie Pickering and by far this was one of the best burgers I've had, with a price of less than £15 including a side! Very impressed and this will be my go-to place in Southampton from now on.

Have been going on and off for 4 years and no doubt still the best Portuguese restaurant in Southampton. They cook your food fresh from the chef's kitchen and you can see it through a window so hygiene is second to none. Will definitely come back for more.

Food was tasty enough, ordered the all you can eat wings and fries. Food was very hot, good amount of wings supplied when topping up. Lost a star as it felt under staffed for the amount of customers meaning we was often left waiting to order more food or drinks and also the music was too loud so our table couldn't hold a proper conversation.

I didnt expect the chicken to be as tasty as it was. The steak, back ribs and pork belly were even better than they sound, authentic flame grilled flavour. Fairly plain decour and loud atmosphere are the only cons to this delightful restaurant. Really nice cocktails also. Lovely meal. Pricey but value for money.

Wonderful slice of Portugal. Chicken was authentic, juicy, sliced the same as we get in the Algarve - it was delicious (trust me, Nandos have no idea). Ribs were good, huge and not overcooked. Pastel de nata was great too. Friendly staff, good food, great value - what's not to like?

Meat Monster Meal- £12 The burger was juicy, the best part was the mini chicken fillets that had that rotisserie flavour, the side salad was fresh and including a drink was a decent meal for the price. I also ordered a Pastel de nata for dessert which I didn’t end up eating. I took a small bite. The pastry was stale and it had a smell like it had been kept in a cold oven overnight. Very disappointing as the main meal was very good.

We heard too many good words and we had to try it! Their steaks are amazing their chicken is alright. Normal chips or with peri peri seasoning nothing amazing. Their Caesar salad is great and has egg that we were not expecting. From sauces they have tomato ketchup, mayo and mustard (if my memory serves me right). The second time we went we only had stakes and the salad. A bit overpriced for what it is but delicious. Ps coke was really watery too.

Not dreadful by any means but was expecting something of a higher standard especially as I'm such a fan of Portugese food and have been to so many great restaurants all over Portugal. Thought the chicken - on skewers - rather tough and not of a sufficient quality - where the chicken sourced? In addition I asked for medium spiceyness and not sure my meal had any spice to it at all Sure I should have sent it back. The chips seemed quite tasteless and the espresso had to be sent back because it was too cold. The 2nd espresso had a similar problem regardless whether the cup had been heated. The problem was something to do with the machine as management admitted. Therefore you shouldn't have really charged me for the espresso, should you? Service was nice and the atmosphere good, however because of this experience I'd think twice before recommending other or visiting again.

I went to this restaurant for the first time purely because I was in Southampton for the first time The food was amazing and huge portions It is a long time since I have found such delicious food in a restaurant I have very specific food likes and dislikes and they were able to cater for these requests They were very friendly and nothing seemed to much for them. Little bit noisy tonight. Good service. Friendly welcoming staff. Food; I thought I would give the veggie burger a try and sadly it was very very disappointing. If I wasn't so hungry I wouldn't have eaten it. It was like a mash burger with a mix bag of veg from Iceland. My partner had the meaty one which was very nice but no love put into dressing the meal. The plate was also chipped. Good value money but just a little more attention to presentation.

Wooohooohoo. Just got back from my first time at Diego's. Wing night was fantastic, best wing night in Southampton hands down. Wings cooked to perfection and can tell they're cooked to order, come to the table piping hot and juicy. Staff were absolutely lovely and so attentive, beer slightly too expensive but I'll cope with that. Will be back. Ps. The comments I've seen with pictures saying they're undercooked are absolutely tapped. It's clearly just pigment from the bone, or glisten from the moisture of the chicken. Clearly those people just love dry white AF chicken.

My son is studying in Southampton and missing his home in Portugal. If you’re Portuguese, you’ll understand there’s nothing in this world like Portuguese food. This will be the first time we’re not able to be with him on his birthday because of Covid restrictions, and I was wracking my brain what I could do for him as a surprise. I reached out to Diego’s to see if they could help me bring a little bit of home to my son. I sent an enquiry via their website and they immediately called me back in Portugal, which was amazing. We agreed that I’d send some money to cover the cost of a meal for two in their restaurant and they said they would personally hand deliver the vouchers to my son. Miguel has just made the surprise delivery of the vouchers and my son is over the moon and really looking forward to his meal. Thank you so much Miguel, I cannot praise your service enough and so hope that we get to meet you one day to say thank you in person.

I’ve been going here for years and have to say I’ve never had a bad meal. They have a fairly diverse menu these days with Steaks and Fish etc as well as chicken. Although I’ve only ever tried the chicken, partly because I tend to stick with what I know, but mostly because it’s delicious! I find the staff to always be friendly, welcoming and on the ball. The food service is generally pretty quick, even when they’re busy. The all you can eat wings deal in a Tuesday and Wednesday is the one! I’ve had delivery from them a few times too and it always turns up quickly and hot. I usually order through Deliveroo or Just Eat, but I think you get a discount if you order direct at their website. If you like chicken dinner, you’ll love this place!

Food came starters ok main course was just all meat very little salad chips was extra. My ribs were very dry no sauce on them. We highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!! The staff here are very warm, friendly, welcoming, professional and efficient. This to us is almost as important as the food. We decided to book Diego's for my son's 21st birthday and upon booking they asked whether there would be any children in our party. When I said that there would, the staff advised me that there would be quite a wait for food (around 35 minutes) which I considered very reasonable considering there would be 18 of us in our party and I appreciated them being upfront. When we arrived we were greeted straight away with a very friendly and genuine welcome. The service was very efficient and our meals were very delicious and piping hot. Every single person in our party throughly enjoyed their meals. We ordered alot of different options. Meat courses, vegetarian and vegan, several different sides, starters etc and we couldn't fault any of it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxed and the staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us. They even asked for my son's name and sang happy birthday to him when they brought his cake out. A big thank you to the staff here for helping to make my son's birthday special. Keep up the good work. We'll definitely be back!

The menu didn't describe the food well. My burger was sounding so good on the menu but when it arrived it had chilli in the patty. I asked staff (prior to ordering) if it's hot and they said it isn't. It was. It should say in the description as some pair might have allerdmgies or simply don't like spice.

Five of us turned up at 9pm on a Saturday, with no reservation, to a packed restaurant, only to be met by Hugo who assured us a table would be free in 15 minutes, which it was. I go all the time, and when I'm too lazy, I just get take away. But their staff are fantastic, their food is fantastic, I am glad I tried them out. I also managed to take my mother and brother there, who are severely allergic to, quite frankly, most things. The staff helped identify foods and even desserts they could eat. The aforementioned allergies, for anyone that's interested, that these amazing people helped cater to: Deadly nightshade vegetables (potato, tomato, aubergine, peppers of any kind), gluten (of any kind, so no bread, flour, anything with wheat is a no go), dairy (minus eggs, just milk things).

A wide range of drinks are available and they are not as expensive as other places (including cocktails and mocktails). The service was pleasent and professional, with a big friendly smile! Delicious flame-grilled chicken - so yummy, the chicken is far juicier and better than Nandos dry overpriced chicken! Prices are very reasonable here. Only negative are the sauces (tried two of them - garlic & piri-piri), big room for improvement here - don't waste your money on the Piri Piri sauce as it's mostly oil. Buy your own Piri Piri Sauce if you must have some, and try this place, you won't regret it!
