The Britannia Lanes team couldn’t have been more helpful this weekend. I rented a self drive van to move house and Nathan responded promptly to all my queries offering competitive pricing. We’d forgotten dust sheet and they kindly let us borrow moving blankets and packing tape saving us a lot of hassle trying to protect our velvet sofa. Very grateful for the smooth and efficient service. Highly recommend!

We hired a Luton Van with tail lift. We needed it for longer than we first thought. Nathan and his team were great at facilitating this. The van was clean and reliable. Following the death of my mother at the age of 105 - we had the urgent need of finding a storage facility for a load of personal goods from her house and ours. We had used Britannia Lanes of Cornwall many years ago for a house move, and well remembered the excellent service we had on that occasion - so had no hesitation to come back. We were not disappointed - our needs being handled by Nathan Kellow - who provided the support, facility and service we needed - second to none - at an affordable and sensible price. Nathan, as a person to deal with was very "business-like" , efficient, but extremely "personable and friendly" and I would have no hesitation to recommend Britannia Lanes to anybody .

Great service, very friendly and really helpful team at Britannia Lanes. I needed a Luton Van to move my son to London. I wasn't sure of dates but had a tight timeline. The staff at Britannia were flexible, helpful and made sure I had the right van on the right date. They even let me come for the van the night before so I had a couple of hours head start. Great value, van was in excellent condition and did the job. Highkly recommended, thanks especially to John and Nathan.

Very good storage facilities. I used Britannia over several months whilst moving home. My furniture and goods were kept in good condition and I would certainly use this company again. Also used their van hire service-great van and very convenient.

We hired a panel van. It is a shame there are set hours for the daily hire, which meant we had to pay for some time we didn’t need, In effect we had to pay for a whole day we didn’t need which was costly. When you book the transport via the website it takes you straight to your booking application which gives very little information about times of hire and the full costs, which I feel was misleading as the advertisement says “from £19 daily” when it cost us £72 a day and we also had to pay for excess mileage, which wasn’t mentioned either.

The radio was a bit rubbish and kept losing the stations but I guess that is a Ford issue not the hire company. Hired a Luton van from the self drive team and it was so easy and straight forward, also best quote in the county for a weekend hire! used the van to move house and it was modern, new and so easy to use. Rented a Luton Van with tail lift, very nice vehicle and in good working order. Very efficient service on pickup with video made of any scratches. Note... if returning the van the following morning they ask for a very early return time, before they open, and ask you to post the keys in a slot in the door. Fortunately, I was able to return my hire the same day before they closed.

We were very pleased with the service provided by Britannia Lanes of Cornwall. We moved twice with them - once into their storage facilities and then again into our new house. Everyone we met was extremely professional - from the surveyor to the office staff and the two teams of men that did the removals. We had confidence from the very start that they would look after our possessions and that proved to be the case. The price was very clearly set out and we thought that it offered good value for money. We needed to change the date of the move into our new house at very short notice and they were very accommodating. On the day of the second move the weather was awful and the removal team took great care with our stuff and took extra precautions to keep our brand new carpets that way. They worked very efficiently throughout - quickly enough to get the job done in a timely manner and yet with sufficient care to make sure that nothing got damaged. Nothing was too much trouble for the removals team and they "were happy" to move heavy items around as we changed our minds about the layouts of the rooms. I have recommended them to two colleagues who were both delighted and would most definitely use them again.

We used Britannia Lanes for storage for over 6 months and van hire for moving and we couldn’t believe amazing they are and easy to deal with. Helpful, polite and professional from start to finish. The unit was clean and dry and our property stayed in perfect condition whilst stored. Access through the building was brilliant and it was easy to manoeuvre large furniture items into the unit. We especially received a 1st Class service from Laura Johns who dealt with us from start to finish. Her very calm and professional approach certainly made a very stressful situation, move much more smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble and was she was always quick to return our enquiries. The van hire manager Laura was really helpful when we at Addair hirred a van for Royal Cornwall show. Brilliant service. From the booking through to the packing service, all very helpful and personable. On the day of the move we had all the help we could have got from Britannia Lanes, they were super and very quick to get things loaded in an order that worked for us at the other end. We saw John about self drive van hire, but first, another colleague went out, in the torrential rain, to tell him we were there. It wasn't an arranged visit. He was lovely and had us sorted in no time. We got a great price and were impressed with the excess insurance, just in case. Their Truro place is a breeze to get to and I was very impressed with the staff and buildings, inside and out. Oh yes, they have the most stunning office furniture I have ever seen.

I don't move house very often, so when I do I always engage the help of real experts in their field - be it estate agents, solicitors or storage and removal companies. With the amounts of money involved it makes perfect sense. My first encounter with the Lanes surveyor gave me total confidence about the firm and I just knew that they understood what they were talking about! As we were putting all of our worldly goods into store I popped up to look at their facilities as well. My initial impression was again a very positive one and I can remember thinking to myself "these people will take care of my stuff". On a visit you also get to see some of their fleet of trucks as well & again it gives you a positive feel. You know your belongings are not being transported around in a grubby heap of junk that could crash or break down any minute! On removal day, they came at the time they promised and worked really efficiently. A perfect balance of getting you out quickly whilst taking the utmost care of everything you own. The removal blokes were nice chaps too! When our stuff came out of store there was a slight hiccup as we had to shift the removal back by a day at very short notice (under 48 hours) as there were problems getting the carpets fitted. Although we panicked, Lanes put us at rest and easily coped with the change to the date and accommodated us without any fuss. Calm in a potentially stressful situation. Our stuff came out of store in perfect condition and the removal was again excellent. It was a wet day and they took care to keep our possessions dry and to look after our new carpets. As referred to above! Overall, the firm comes 100% recommended and I would definitely use them again without any hesitation.

Rented a Luton Van to collect furniture we had in storage in Surrey after our move to Cornwall. The Self drive Manager Andy Pascoe was excellent. As our vehicle had returned early he allowed us to collect it the evening before allowing us to travel up country early missing traffic on the dreaded M25. On taking over the vehicle Andy went through with us all of the vehicles operations including usage of the tail lift. he was polite and knowledgeable concerning the vehicle. Returning the vehicle was a piece of cake. we were able to drop it off the night before (early hours of the morning) dropping the keys into the key safe. My mother in law had to be moved into a home and I had to empty her house, as well as move her into a nursing home. I spoke to Laura and explained the situation, she was very caring and gave me several options. We have been using Britannia Lanes in Cornwall for the last three years. They put our belongings into to storage whilst we went abroad for three years and recently they returned them to us when we moved back temporarily to sell our house. Self drive van hire - Very easy and professional to deal with, thank you Laura. The reason for not giving 5 stars: I felt rushed to return the van by 4pm the same day due to a combination of Christmas early closing and not wanting to leave it there at my risk for 4 extra days (Sat until Wed) before it was checked back in again. I would recommend a workaround be found for this type of scenario. Other than that I would have no hesitation in giving a 5 star review.

Great service however I feel it should be open at the weekends as most people move then we took the weekend off move our stuff out to find it closed at 12:30 on the Saturday then was closed on Sunday too.
