Fantastic from start to finish We moved last month from York to Sherburn in Elmer . The team were really efficient . They packed the day before and even managed to get some of the contents loaded . On move day they worked tirelessly to get loaded up and unloaded as well as assembling the furniture. They made sure it was all in the correct rooms and in the right position for us to save us having to move it again. Fantastic would highly recommend , saved so much time and stress

Jorvik carried out a house removal for us a month ago - a five-bedroomed house in York, moving to Malton. It was a very big job, with an immense amount of packing (especially a collection of several thousand books), and with some pieces of furniture that were unusually challenging. They could not have been more professional, polite, and diligent. Melissa, who inspected our property, was lovely - and meticulous in her assessment of the job. And Melvyn and his team of removers were excellent: punctual, efficient, unflappable, tireless, and refused to give up - even when we said they should abandon some aspects of the job as unfeasible (they found a way of doing it!). I wouldn't hesitate for a moment in recommending anyone in the area planning a house move to pick up the phone and call Jorvik.

Jorvik were able to move us at short notice when our original moving date changed. They were up front about costs (which were reasonable) and kept us informed about how the day would likely play out. When the two lads turned up they were professional, polite and worked like absolute troopers, making an additional trip back to the house to get garden/shed items without any fuss once it was apparent we had way more "stuff" than they were expecting. All items and furniture made the move without any obvious wear or damage so for that alone they get a huge thumbs up. Would thoroughly recommend them.

A wonderful and helpful crew that moved us out of the old and into the new so quickly. Absolutely impeccable service. The three chaps that did the removal were professional and courteous. They worked like greased lightning but were so careful with all our furniture and valuables. I honestly didn’t think it would be such an efficient yet thorough service, given the price we paid. I cannot rate this company high enough. The only regret, in hindsight, is that I should have paid the extra for their full packing and boxing service. Given the quality of the removal work, I’m sure they would have done a great job.

We moved from London to York in January 2021, the removal service was excellent. The date of our house completion constantly changed but Melissa patiently helped us organise a removal date. On the day of the move the lads arrived in London bright and early and packed the van. The experience was stress free (I had been dreading the move) they packed up and delivered to out new place the following morning. I would definitely recommend Jorvik removals.

Great service from a friendly team. We moved between houses in York in January/Feb 2021 and items were put in storage by the team for a short period. The team was really efficient and friendly and took alot of stress out of moving. Especially as the people moving out before us were delayed, they knew how to deal with this in a professional manner. No damage to any items either. Prices were fair and known upfront. Thanks very much, i will be recommending to anyone else moving the area.

We were encouraged to review Jorvik on removal completion so here we go .... 3 guys 2 vans turned up to move us from old house to rental. Guys were very respectful of our needs and would always go the extra mile to satisfy any demanding requirements. So that was great ! However, the down side, which we didn't realise until later when we went back to our old house to respectfully ready it (clean it etc) for our honourable buyers, was that a milfords builders bag part full of sand had been dumped in our (old) garage on removal departure to our rental - not the welcome we wanted to leave our buyer ! Other minor points - our stepladders (which to be fair looked identical to the Jorvik ones but without the Jorvik sticker on) did not get unloaded at our new place, although a towel and cushion, presumably left over from a previous job, did.

Jorvik recently moved us to our new home, what can i say they were faultless from start to finish. Melissa came first to survey the house and explained the process, the quote arrived by email that night. On moving day the team arrived placed runners all over the house to protect the flooring. They dis assembled our large flat pack wardrobe from IKEA and re assembled it,( I thought it could not be done, but they did it perfectly). All the team at Jorvik removals and storage are very polite and friendly. And they took all the stress out of move day for us.. They are extremely reasonably priced, and very professional. We had to book a removals service with 4 days notice, due to a sudden change of completion date. From when we booked through to the removal men leaving, it was the least stressful part of the whole process. They arrived at the agreed time and whizzed around the house incredibly fast and packed my entire house up in 2 hours! They were very helpful, funny and kind. They were able to advise me what was happening next, as my solicitor or estate agent didn't bother to explain this to me. At the other end they took things to the correct rooms quickly and everything was looked after carefully. I have never moved house before, so have nothing to compare to, but this was brilliant! Use Jorvik removals to move from york to Doncaster. The staff was very professional and turned up on time of day of moving. The guys always check what was going and nothing was to much, at the new house the guys place moving sheets on the carpets so they did not leave wet footprints. They asked where items was to go and made sure everything was OK before they left, I would use this company again.

From initial phone call to storage of items I've yet to sort out they have been very helpful. The boys arrived at the time they said they would and ensured my belongings were delivered safely and carefully to my new home. I self packed my items, but Melissa arranged for boxes for me to use. Well what can I say? This is the best removals company I've used!! A lovely group of people running it and they add a personal touch to their work. We had a situation where we needed to move at short notice, these guys managed to do it for us!! They also did it all after we got home from work at 5.30pm so no time was wasted! The whole thing took about 3 hours from start to finish. They completely understood our need to move quickly as we were dealing with a horrible intrusive landlady!!! I loved that they all joked about her with us on the phone and in person, it made the experience so much more relaxed and fun for me, especially after what we'd been through. Very good service and a sound hard working team (including Gary, McCauley and Matt) led by Melissa and Melvyn. Very much reduced the stress of moving for us. We had a lot of delicate goods and as far as I can tell all were taken good care of. They really worked hard. Only other comment was they couldn't fit two single beds in upstairs bedroom and swapped them with a double bed. Later I found a door stopper was the problem and re-swapped the beds myself. However another removal company wanted next door's carriage lamp taking down due to narrow entrance. Yorvik sent two smaller vans, so problem solved. Highly recommended at a stressful time for anyone moving.

Great company to deal with from quote to removal. The team worked to accommodate other appointments I had in place after a move of date due to a bank holiday. They put in a very early start and were all done for a local move in about an hour, very efficient, tidy and helpful. Recommended.
