Such a nice centre to visit. Free entry and free car park. Donation boxes inside. Kids play area outside as well as some pieces to look at and nice view of harbour. Lots of exhibits inside with a couple of interactive displays. The ship models are simply amazing. There's areas about Barrow itself, vikings, ww2 and even a little bomb shelter to sit inside. Completely pram and wheelchair friendly including accessible toilets and a lift to the lower exhibit floor. Cafe was reasonably priced and quick service. Really enjoyed out visit!

A great feature of this museum is that it is built in part of the dock which is preserved inside and well worth a look. Entry and car parking is free and there is a children's play area as well as a cafe.

Such a great place to visit. Obviously the history and the wonderful models and film shows. Thoroughly recommend. Easy walking from the rail station too.

Interesting Free entry museum about Barrows history around the Dock area and how Barrow was the leading place of iron ore . Some beautiful model ships a long with the information and history of the ships. The museum is built over a dry Dock and is interesting to see. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
There is a good play area outside and free parking. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Dock museum In Barrow is free parking and entry. It's a maritime museum with some interesting exhibits. There were a lot of ships built there over the years and they have plenty of model ships (large size) on display in cabinets. Accessible entrance and most of displays are easy to manoeuvre around. You will have to retrace your steps or wheels near some exhibits as there is not quite enough room to get a walker or wheelchair through. Good toilets on site but rather strange to have a chair under the hand dryer in the accessible toilet. Cafe on site which we had to ask for a dustpan and brush as crisps and crumbs all under our table. Two floors with level access and lift to lower floor. Well worth a visit.

Amazing!!!! Fantastic park too and not too busy which is great. Loved the dry dock could have looked at it for hours. Shame we couldn't get to the ground floor but didn't spoil it at all.

Great little museum. Great history of Barrow, obviously focusing on ships and shipbuilding. Great for families
