Easily spent an hour plus here looking at all the memorabilia.
Just learning of Glenn's story and demise was interesting enough but lots more to do plus coffee n cake!

This small but very interesting museum is well worth a little of your time if you're in the area. Located at Twinwood where Glenn was last seen alive and with his music playing in the background, we found it moving and informative and will no doubt return when next at the festival that started out to honour the great man.

Wonderful place to visit. Good to know that there are dedicated ladies and gents which demonstrate an amazing passion in preserving our history. It’s by far the best aviation museum I have come across in recent years with its atmospheric undertones and living history 1940 themes. Open from May to late September and not to mention the Twinwoods annual summer festivities every August bank holiday!....For those who love camping and dressing up in their 1940’s militarily costumes all enjoying the vintage music, dance and fashion. Well worth a visit.

Authentically preserved and restored to resemble what the Control tower would have looked like during WW2 serving as an active airbase.
It is as if the war had just finished and everyone left for home leaving the place as a permanent reminder to our past history.
There are numerous artifacts to see and photos to view as well as the vehicles and various other bits of machinery in some of the sheds.
If you are interested in aviation and WW2 this is a must see on your list of places to visit.

A most interesting museum that gives a real sense of the bravery and indomitable spirit of the forces in WWII.
If you love Glenn Miller music it is a must. Walk where Glenn Miller did around the Control Tower and feel the atmosphere.

Twinwood is so much more than just the Glenn Miller museum which is located in the control tower and we enjoyed it very much. However there are many other wartime displays on site in the various old buildings and we had excellent refreshments in the naafi. would highly recommend. £5 well spent. Excellent Sunday lunch in the Coach and Horses in Clapham afterwards.
