m.The Albert Memorial Clock Tower is a monument in memory of Queen Victoria's late Prince Consort, Prince Albert. This is one of the landmarks of Belfast, partly because of it imitation of the leaning of Pisa. As others have mentioned, the tower has a lean because it was built of wooden piles on marshy land.
The tower has a distinctly Gothic architectural style with it's souring lines, especially nearer the base with arches mimicking the arches of a ceiling. At the front, facing away from the river is a statue of Albert in a regal portrait pose. All around the tower are ornately carved crowned lions, angels, gargoyles and floral decorations.
Definitely worth seeing if in Belfast.
J. D.The Albert Memorial Clock is a clock tower situated at Queen's Square in Belfast. It was completed in 1869 and is one of the best known landmarks of Belfast. It is sometimes described as Belfast’s answer to Pisa’s leaning tower, its tilt caused by the fact it is constructed on reclaimed land from the River Farset and weighs over 2,000 tonnes. Erected between 1865 and 1869 in Gothic style to commemorate Queen Victoria’s consort, Prince Albert, it was tall enough at 141ft (43m), to offer an excellent vantage point for at least one enterprising sightseer to get a birds-eye view of Titanic’s launch. As well as including a statue of Prince Albert also boasts a number of ornately carved crowned lions, angels, gargoyles and floral decorations. Its bell weighs 2 tonnes and can be heard from over 8 miles away.

T. D.The Clock is a historical landmark, located in a square. If you look at photos of Belfast during the industrial period, you'll see a lot of photos of this clock, which is awesome! The Clock is within walking distance from Titanic museum. Besides, it was located at one end of the square, and very close to the Big Fish, the Salmon of Knowledge, which was another awesome landmark.

This clock tower also has another feature similar to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, it leans. It has a lean of 1.25 metres to the vertical caused by building the clock tower on marsh land with wooden piles. The resulting subsidence is therefore translated in the clock tower leaning!
The clock tower is constructed in a Gothic architectural style, and is decorated with floral decorations, ornately carved crowned lions, angels and gargoyles. It stands proudly at 35 metres high. Construction on the clock towerer started in 1865 and completed in 1869. The cost of the project was £2,500, and was raised by public subscription.
If you are in Belfast, the Albert Memorial Clock is well worth a visit.

M. C.The city of Belfast is quite beautiful and this is right near the center. The clock tower stands above the surrounding buildings and brings it a very nice look. The city is fairly small so you can walk across it all with no issue and walking is great with crosswalks and large sidewalks. The clock itself has an interesting little history noted on the plaque next to it. Build for a tiny sum (although likely a lot when converted to today) it started to lean and had to be fixed for a much larger amount. It is in memory of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband.
A. M.The place is largely just a huge eye catcher and that's about it. It's largely a historical landmark. There is a sign post beneath the clock tower that explains how the clock tower came about and some interesting facts about it.
There's no way to access the top and there's not much to do around the clock. It does make for good photos shoots however and the square is full of locals.

N.If you’re taking a city sightseeing in Belfast this attraction can a quick stop for some pictures and you could walk your way to the Titanic Museum which is closely situated.

R. G.A fantastic architectural clock right in the heart of the city. Handy way to get the time when close by. The clock had a lot of work done some years back and looks like new. One thing they didn't do was fix its chimes, but they did keep its characteristic lean.

Belfast locals love to present it as their little Tower of Pisa.
As an effect of the construction of the Albert Memorial Clock in marshy soils, some parts of the original structure of this Belfast tower had to be removed, such as the ornaments of the bell tower and the canopy that was on the statue of Prince Albert. Other restoration works have been necessary, the most relevant was by a bomb planted by members of the IRA (Irish Republican Army) in 1992, whose shock wave caused some minor damage. Old wooden parts have also been replaced with new ones such as the wooden foundations that have been strengthened and most of the decaying carvings replaced as well as the cleaning of the tower.

J Barre fue el arquitecto que se encargo de su diseño, tras ganar un concurso público efectuado en 1865. Pero hubo polémica ya que durante la celebración de este concurso y a pesar de que Barre había quedado en primer lugar el contrato para realizar la obra fue concedido a los arquitectos Lanyon, Lynn y Lanyon, que habían quedado en segundo puesto. Debido a las fuertes protestas populares, se estableció el orden y Barre quedo legítimo aspirante al contrato. Su edificación costo alrededor de 2.500 libras.
El diseño de Barre fue ejecutado por la constructora Fitzpatrick Brothers, quienes eligieron la piedra arenisca como principal material para la edificación, que alcanza los 113 metros de altura y cuyas líneas mezclan los estilos góticos de Francia e Italia.
