Reviews of Aerospace Bristol
A. J.
What a great place to go! It's huge and full of great historical items, stories and facts. So well maintained and reception staff very helpful.
Children will love it, there's also a task book for children to complete and find tasks as they go around.
The concord exhibit is just wow. So much history around it and the fact you can walk through the plane is great.
I'd highly recommend the online cafe. Lovely hot food with plenty of choices, kids menu and snacks plus cream teas.
It was raining when we visited but I think there was a small outdoor play area for little ones. Plenty of car parking to and there's also a retail park nearby
R. H.
Excellent museum. Many interesting exhibits which will interest everyone and chance to get hands on experience with the numerous interactive displays . Lovely cafe and facilities. Adults and children of all ages will not only learn but enjoy the day. Of course the highlight is Concorde which is presented in pristine condition. You can view the flight deck and move down through the cabin and savour the luxury . Staff are friendly and helpful and clearly enjoy their work. We had a great time and you are able to have free admission for twelve months.
S. B.
Really welcoming friendly knowledgeable staff, lots of hands on for the children. Great displays and detailed information, love the fact we can use our ticket over & over again for the next year. Lots of free parking.
Really good cafe with choice of hot and cold food, and excellent service.
The gift shop has a wide choice of gifts but is very expensive it needs more pocket money priced souvenirs for children.
We will definitely be back

I'm no plane geek but I really enjoyed visiting.
The information on display was really interesting and all exhibits set out chronologically.
Interactive bits for kids to keep busy on too.
The restoration hanger had enthusiasts working hard to restore a plane and the guides were so knowledgeable.
We spent a good while in there listening to their stories, David in particular had such fascinating tales to tell. I could have spent hours with him.
Top exhibit obviously is Concorde.
Beautifully displayed and pristine.
Actually felt quite emotional seeing it, such an iconic aircraft.
Absolutely recommend anyone to visit this fabulous attraction.
J. S.
Absolutely amazing! Book in advance £18 adult or £19.50 on the door. You can then return anytime free for a whole year! 3 Hangars in total, amazing food from the cafe. Hangar 2 just Concorde and you can actually get onboard it, fabulous 3 to 4 hours to cover everything. Tues/Weds/Thurs watch live restoration going on in Hangar 3.
S. S.
Great museum, perfect for an aviation nerd. The staff were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and had lots of great stories.
Concorde exhibition is very well done and all the other aircraft on display are impressive.
Well worth a visit and the ticket is valid for a year so repeat visits included in the price.
F. F.
Wonderful museum! Well worth a visit it you are interested in aviation, Bristol or both. There is a lot of local information for the surrounding Filton area too. Planes, helicopters, ground to air missiles, cars and even satellite exhibits on show to name a few. There are a good number of interactive exhibits too.
Polite, friendly staff always on hand to help.
Ample parking, stairs and lifts for elevated areas, clean and very tidy facilities with a really great cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks.
The best thing is you have a whole year to return as many times as you like, just hang on to your boarding pass (ticket) and away you go! Excellent value for money!!!

What an amazing museum for enthusiasts of all ages. The main hangar is set up really well with visual, auditory and written displays. The little cutouts with information distilled for children demonstrates the thought that has gone into the setup. The Concorde hangar is an absolute delight and being able to walk through airframe 20 is the icing on the cake. Hangar 3 with the live restoration of historical assets is equally amazing. The staff on-site are engaging, committed and have interesting stories to tell. Do engage with them to get a richer experience. The cafe, ablution facilities and outside seating is all clean, tidy and well thought out. The family ticket is good value in my personal opinion and especially as it provides access for 12 months. I will certainly be returning again. My 10 year old son was fully engaged and had a great time on his summer holiday visiting this wonderful place.
L. S.
Very interesting museum and lots to keep the children entertained.
Some great exhibits. Concorde is fantastic, but the others are also very good covering all the history of aviation (focusing on the local contribution of course, which is a very large contribution!)
Staff and volunteers were fantastic and very knowledgeable, some having even worked on Concorde!
P. S.
Really interesting visit. The centrepiece is the magnificent Concorde which has a hangar and displays to itself. The other exhibits tell the story of the Bristol aircraft from the Boxkite through to the Airbus 380. A few more complete aircraft would make this even better, but they are constantly working on this in their restoration hangar.
J. A.
Fantastic day out. Really well presented museum. Excellent cafe. Friendly and helpful staff.
Best buy is going on lard concord! Fantastic plane.
Would thoroughly recommend.
J. p.
Loved it, nice walk around looking at a decent collection of airplanes. Concord was the best bit as you can go inside. Also they have a rare Aston Martin next to concord.
N. N.
Brilliant visit. I highly recommend it. Getting up close and personal with the technological marvel that is the Concorde, was undoubtedly the highlight of the visit, but that takes nothing away from the rest of this museum. Brilliant. Top job to all involved.
T. H.
Lush day out yesterday with the crew. Surprised how much the girls enjoyed this. Very involved with the fact finder and clock challenges. Beautifully laid out inside with lots of interactive activities dotted around. The staff are all lovely and very helpful and the restaurant and food was fab too. Xx
T. W. F. T. W.
For £18 entry which entitles you to multiple entries up to 12 months this is fantastic value for money. The main attraction is to see Concorde, but also explains the importance of aviation in the area, and the importance of it in the first World War.
I was only there 90 minutes, really could have done with another hour to properly see everything and the other hanger.
Your entrance ticket is like a flight ticket which was a nice added touch.
J. B.
Absolutely loved this place. If you are into anything aviation related it is a must for a visit. Especially special was being able to see and go aboard a Concorde.
You can get food and there is a small memorabilia shop there.
Tickets are very reasonably priced and last a year. Ample parking available.
N. C.
This place is so cool!!! We spent a few hours there, there is so much to see. I love the interactive parts of the museum. The only point of improvement would be the labeling could be better. I had to look a few things up on my phone to see what they were.
E. B.
Brilliant
I almost think a visit here should be mandatory if you live in Bristol!
Well worth a visit, it's a charity too, so deserving of your support
They have plenty of interactive exhibits and a cafe but, of course, the main attraction..... Concorde. You even get to go inside this beautiful machine. I was like a kid at Christmas!!!
N. C.
The magnificence of Concorde I don't think will ever fail to impress me. Being upclose was even more breathtaking. As I was working there for a specific event I wasn't able to visit the site in the same way a normal visitor would (hence the rating I've given). I will have to at some point visit again to get the proper experience.
A. B.
Brilliant. Really reccomend. Tickets are a fair price and allow for 2 entry's!! Loads to see, really interesting. The staff were lovely and very informant helpful, felt very welcomed. Definitely reccomend if cvisiting the area! There's also a small cafe on site (while on the pricy side) offered sandwiches, cakes and burgers.
A. G.
I’m an aviation nut anyway, so my review will be slightly biased I’m afraid. The Bristol Aero Company has an interesting and varied history, boasting connections with many famous and iconic aircraft. With the whole collection being very interesting, Concorde G-BOAF is by far the jewel in the crown, and following her being parked up outside for over a decade, she’s been brought indoors finally, into a state of the art hangar / showroom / building, and there are many friendly helpful staff available to help to tell stories and share experiences of their involvement with this beautiful aeroplane.
With your entry ticket giving you unlimited returns within a year, you can come back as often as you like to get your supersonic fix.
A lovely cafe on site, offering beverages, snacks and light meals, we did find it a little pricey, but assume that any profits made are funnelled back into the upkeep of this great source of historic information for the immediate area, and the aviation world in general. A restoration hangar gives guests a chance to see various aircraft and artefacts being lovingly restored by skilled volunteers, who are happy to explain what’s going on, and give an interesting insight into what they are currently doing.
We spent just over four hours on site, but could have seen everything within two hours or so, but it would be easy to lose oneself for a day without too much work!!
The only thing I did find so very sad is just how much of this historic airfield has been split up, knocked down and built on. It was at the centre of some of the most innovative and game changing stages in our (The UK’s) aviation industry, it would have been nice to have seen the whole site treated with the care and affection of its exhibits!!
L. K.
If you’re visiting Bristol then this place has to be on your list! You probably need to have a basic appreciation of aviation, and Concorde in particular, but anyone who didn’t get to fly on this aircraft will enjoy the visit. You probably need around 3 hours to enjoy it, splitting your time between the Concorde hanger and the main museum that has lots of other engineering and aviation history, including many restored aircraft. Even if you don’t love planes I would totally recommend a visit. We arrived first thing on a Sunday and got straight into the Concorde hanger before anyone else, going straight into the aircraft to take a look. You can’t but be amazed! The service from the team was excellent, with those on station in the Concorde hanger showing such knowledge and passion. The cafe is lovely too, well worth a coffee and cake break. If you’re in 2 minds about a visit I would say it’s totally worth it!
P. H.
I found this to be fascinating and absorbing museum. The highlight, for me, was to board an actual Concorde aircraft which dominates one hanger. It was good to be able to walk both around and underneath this iconic plane and I was so good to be able to go into the actual plane
The other hanger has an interesting collection of exhibits and very informative labelling to go with them .
I also enjoyed looking into the third hanger where volunteers are restoring a number of aircraft.
The guides are very enthusiastic and are happy to answer any questions.
J. P.
Extraordinary display of the Concorde. Very special to be able to walk all around and underneath this iconic aircraft at ground level, and at cabin level from the nose up to the rear of the wing and inside the cabin of arguably the most beautiful passenger plane to ever fly. You can view the actual cockpit of this Concorde and also a running simulator up close. Other static displays include the legendary Harrier. Running simulators of Airbus A320, Eurofighter and Concorde. Good display of the chronology of Bristol Aerospace Company which played a very significant role in aircraft development internationally (later BAE Systems). Also caters for kids.
D. H.
Nice place to visit. Loads of info on air transport from Bristol past. Also the star of the show is the Concorde that you get to go on. Nice cafe with good choice of food plus good parking.
L. M.
First time to the Concorde museum. Some great exhibits covering aerospace from the first world war to modern day drones and satellites.
Added bonus of bumping into a volunteer who talked about WWII aircraft and on to on the A320 Airbus and A400M Atlas.
S. M.
Great little museum with lots to look and interact with.
With free unlimited return visits for 12 months after your first paid visit I would definitely recommend to anyone.
It has something for all ages.
The cafe was well managed, clean and served lovely food.
The staff were very freindly and informative also.
We will be revisiting again for sure. 😊
R. C.
Lovely aerospace museum with plenty of planes and interactive exhibitions. We went on a Wed in September with our 2 year old. The staff were really friendly and helpful giving lots of history behind the exhibits. The Concorde looks great in its own hanger and there is a new hanger which allows you to see the planes being restored. A lovely cafe on site which was very reasonable. Also a small play park for little ones to burn off some steam. Well worth a visit!
R. G.
I can thoroughly recommend this place to visit for all ages. Loads to see with interactive displays. Talk to the gallery hosts as they have loads of interesting extra information. Make your way to the conservation workshop too. And the food and service at the cafe are excellent.
J. F.
Aeroplane museum in Filton bristol a great way to spend a few hours. They have a whole hanger dedicated to concorde and a few Aston Martins in the back. A great signposted one way system through the various exhibits and wheelchair accessible lifts throughout the building. There's is a cafe and gift shop on site.
F. K.
We went here as we were hosting an event. It was amazing, and being able to go into Concorde was fantastic. The venue was the perfect size for our 300 guests and the organisers were really accommodating.
K. M.
Had the best time here , very quiet which was good and concorde was amazing . Outstanding value for money and look forward to visiting again soon. Cafe was really nice and not too expensive.
B. C.
This place is great. Very family friendly and you can easily spend three or four hours here.
Friendly staff, plenty of parking, great cafe and lots to see.
Highly recommended.
B. P.
To step in to Concorde was really a dream come true! The whole experience was very good, and all the family enjoyed their visit (5-69 years old)! There are activities for children. If you love Concorde and aircraft history then you must visit!
C. S.
I've got a bucket list to visit every remaining Concorde in situ and I have to say this is the best venue I've visited so far. The Concorde hangar has had no expense spared and the projected images on the front of G-BOAF are a lovely touch. The aircraft is obviously loved and it's worth the money alone to visit.
The covid safe route and plentiful hand sanitiser was very reassuring. The toilets were exceptionally clean and well maintained.
The cafe has a good selection of food and drink and the menu for hot meals was quite reasonable for a museum.
The main museum is very heavy on Bristol based aircraft history, which is something that I've not been very knowledgeable about prior to the visit (Brabazon excluded). I'm pleased that the museum has successfully educated me on a rich part of British aviation history.
The new addition to visitors is the hangar where volunteers can be seen working on aircraft that are being restored. Chat to them as they know and love their subjects. Every volunteer and staff member at the museum are exceptional in their role.
The gift shop staff were also very friendly and knowledgeable. I would have liked a few more aviation diecast models as the few they had were bespoke and quite pricey.
The only other qualm I had was the lack of smoking/vaping allowance within the museum fenced area. There is a very large open space between the hangars that would be suitable for a smoking area.
A small but great museum that's worth a visit.
R. M.
Nice museum. Was really good to see the Concorde. Goes through the history of aviation
S. H.
As an aviation lover, Aerospace Bristol is a must visit. They have a wonderful museum featuring the history of the aviation industry in Bristol starting from the Boxkite aircraft, through the war and into the modern day.
The highlight is of course Concorde. Getting to view G-BOAF up close and step on board is a wonderful experience. I regard this aircraft is my all time favourite, making Aerospace a very special place to visit.
The cafe is brilliant, serving a variety of hot food and drinks.
Also your ticket grants you free unlimited access for a whole year, what’s not to love?!
G. B.
Great history of Filton's aerospace history. Full of interactive exhibits and the last Concorde ever to fly. They have recently opened the restoration hangar where they are rebuilding some very rare exhibits.
H.
Very good experience for the whole family. Lots of interactive programs for the kids to be hands on. Tickets are quite expensive although you could you use it throughout the year. We are passing by Bristol, don’t think we will benefit from this yearly ticket option. Gift shop has lots of choice but tend to be on the expensive side.
m. D.
Wow what can I say, the Concord was absolutely amazing to see, all the seats were still in, it was the last Concord to fly, so worth a visit, lots of other stuff to look at as well
H. M.
A good day out for families and any aviation enthusiast. Free parking, good food in the cafe and three buildings full or aircrafts.
B. -. T. P. &. P. F.
Great place for the family to visit and a very good cafe. Main building, Concorde hanger and renovation workshop. Best visit in the week day, easy parking and good wheelchair access. Concorde can be viewed up close underneath and then from door access level. This Concorde had been recently refurbished before it was the taken out of service. When you think development of this plane started back in the 50’s you can still be amazed at the engineering achievement. The other classic plane in the collection is the Harrier.
Entry tickets can be used again.
A. S.
What a great experience. Easy to get to. Great cafe too. Will definitely use oyr return tickets which are re usable for 12onths!!
J. D.
Good educational space. Plenty of room for growth. Seeing concord in the flesh was a great experience.
A. C.
Fabulous, nice staff, great expo, accessible for everyone, we spent more than 2h there with my 5 year old, he loved it!
The Concorde building, containing a real Concorde that you can visit is pretty unique I guess.
Bit pricey... 18£ for an adult, but you can come back to visit for a year, not bad.
C. H.
A great day out!
It's wheelchair friendly (you can even squeeze onto Concorde!) and has something for everyone.
The exhibits are well spaced out so you don't feel rushed or crowded - and you'll want to take your time as there's lots of useful information to accompany them.
It's worth the trip for Concorde alone - but don't miss out on the rest.
And anyway, the entry ticket is valid for 12 months so you could always go back - we fully intend to!
W. C.
I would like to have spent the entire day at Aerospace Bristol, it is a dream experience for anyone who has an interest in aviation. The opportunity to get so close to so many fantastic aircraft and engines in the gallery is only matched by the enthusiam of the expert volunteer staff.
The Concorde experience is equally memorable - I can now say that I have been at the flight deck of the last Concorde that flew.
The part that I was most looking forward to was the restoration hangar, and it was everything I hoped for, inspiring people doing indulging their passion.
The 'children's' educational models in the gallery were also excellent.
Wish lists are personal - I would love to see more exhibits on aerodynamics.
Services at AB were excellent. The entry ticket allows return admission for an entire year.
L. W.
Best part is iconic Concord. Other interesting aircraft, engines, helicopters, missiles plus history of aircraft in Filton. Good for a half day visit. A ticket has return for a year free.
S. W.
Booked this last minute but was a great fill in on a rainy day with kids.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. The highlight was of course the Concord (No20) and we all learnt a fair bit on the tour.
Defo worth the visit 👍🏼
J. L.
Very interesting place to visit for all ages. Concorde has to be seen, and so close up!
S. P.
Do it! Go, visit and support Aerospace Bristol. It's educational, a tangible piece of aviation history, entertaining, entertaining, the staff are friendly, the food/catering is excellent and the shop has a varied selection of reasonably priced souvenirs.
F. C.
Well maintained exhibits, friendly and knowledge staff and very clean. The whole place has a very modern design to it and each exhibit flows to the next, in chronological order of history. Highlight is definitely concorde, although it was interesting to see the conservation work they are doing on the site of a host of old aircraft. Well worth the entry fee, which allows repeat visits for up to a year after the ticket has been purchased. Definitely coming back.
N. H.
Great place for a morning or afternoon my daughter loved it especially talking to some of the older guys who actually worked there years ago and there stories.
G. W. O.
A must visit. Fabulous displays in an immaculate setting with very friendly volunteers & staff. We took our 17 year old son who is following in his Grandfather's footsteps to become a pilot. Like ourselves he found it both interesting and very informative. Topped off by a lovely lunch in the cafe. Well done to the amazing team at Aerospace Bristol. Please keep up the hard work 👍
L. s.
Worthwhile visit easy to get around and very friendly and helpful staff and volunteers. The volunteers have often worked in the industry and give good insight and background. Cafe offers good range of food & drink friendly service...easy to spend 3-4 hours there. Great value with ticket being valid for return visit in a year!
k. g.
Great place to visit, staff hold good knowledge of the Concorde that was built in Filton Bristol
E. B.
We really enjoyed our visit today. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The Concorde hanger was superb. We were very lucky as it was quiet and no queue etc. The restaurant was also good and the food was very tasty. Overall a great afternoon. We look forward to returning again in the future!
J. J. D.
Not being aircraft buffs (if you exclude my childhood obsession with Biggles books) I was surprised just how interesting we found our visit here. Plenty to see and do, will be making a return visit. All staff knowledgeable and helpful. Cafe spotlessly clean with a sensible menu at affordable prices. One grumble only...card only in cafe despite cash payments being possible in shop.
C. P.
Nice place to visit with the kids. Lots of hands on activities. Nice little touches on arrival. And then you have the mighty concord. Spectacular plane.
M. v. E.
O what a great museum this is! The kids absolutely loved the interactive elements in the exposition, and the science show was very entertaining. The exhibit is also very interesting for adults, with plenty of background information, and very well maintained models! The kicker was the real Concorde obviously, which you can actually walk through. Absolutely loved the day!!
S. N.
What an amazing history of aviation. We spent around 4hrs here but if we had more time could have spent ½ a day. Lots to read and a few interactive displays. The concord of course was the highlight!! What a great way to display it within a hanger. So good to be able to walk all around it and through it also. Will be back.
A. P.
It's good, especially for the aviation enthusiast. The Concorde is awesome. Wish there was a bit more to see but good value if you're local or plan to visit more than once per year as the tickets are also a 12 month pass.
J. O.
First visit in 2017 - A treat to see G-BOAF, the last ever Concorde built in her new home at Filton. Still sad to think that these magnificent machines are grounded. So nice to enjoy all that the Aerospace museum has to offer (as you can see in some of the photos). Great family day out. Nice mix of education and things to see, explore and engage with.
Added bonus on our first visit was getting to meet Captain Tim Orchard, one of the Concorde pilots (and the record holder for the fastest transatlantic crossing). Can't wait to pop back as the tickets are valid for return trips during the next year!
***Returned Again December 21'*** and was great to see a few new additions in the Museum and some very helpful and knowledgeable staff (thanks Alan). Was a little quieter on our visit so got to spend a bit more time on Concorde than previous visits 😍❤
M. H.
We eventually got to visit after booking tickets nearly a year ago. The place could do with more signs to find it as the area is very new and doesn't show up on my sat nav! Once we'd parked we went into the museum and spent a very interesting couple of hours looking at the history of Bristol aviation in all its forms.
Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. A special note about the cafe - very good value and fantastically friendly service. It was great to see and go on Concorde, one of the many iconic aircraft to come out of the Bristol factory. Including food we spent over 3 hours in total and it is certainly somewhere we will revisit, especially as the ticket covers entry for a year!
P. H.
After a long awaited visit! Excellent - friendly, helpful staff. If you love British engineering, technology, this will not disappoint. The aircraft- the best in the world and far ahead of it's time. In it's day, the longest runway and the iconic warehousing, these give you a taste of the early Flight History - the inside is
amazing - go enjoy- this place deserves it's place in British No-How!!
T. J.
You must be interested in aviation and it's really good if you are interested in Bristol Aviation history. If not it's probably a waste of time.
Yes you see Concord but is it worth it to see one plane? Only 3 other complete planes hard to feel attached as you can't sit in them just walk through it.
You will struggle if you're not very interested in reading about Filton
It's well presented, but I felt it was missing something to appeal to people under 50
K. C.
Very good museum, staff very friendly n cafe very reasonable and good portions. If I did have a small criticism is the price of the tickets could be slightly cheaper. But it is a charity and needs the funding it can get. Overall well worth a visit.😁
b. f.
For us 5*, we had nice time, interactive museum attractive for adults and children, nice coffee shop. I recommend.
S. C.
So much history and fantastic science and engineering. Completed a rocket workshop which the kids loved. Loads of the exhibits you could go in and some were hands on and designed to teach certain principles. The guys in the restoration shed we're very knowledgeable and keen to share their knowledge and skills with the children
J. D.
Worth the money. Interesting history of Bristols air history. Not well signposted coming from Bristol bus driver hadn't heard of it and we were told to get off a mile before at Airbus but then no one around, no signs showing the way. Even the signage on the gate very discreet doesnt say museum had to ask at security. The cafe was very good, lovely food reasonably priced served by a really helpful lady.
J. 1. R.
Really great experience to see the Concord especially. Quite a few interesting things for children to take part in.
R. C.
Very impressive, lots to take in for all ages. Good restaurant for lunch after the visit. Staff were very helpful and friendly
R. L.
Very good venue, with 1st class exhibits and storytelling. Concorde is the icing on the cake. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Nice cafe and spotlessly clean facilities as well. Impressive place - well worth a visit.
N. b.
Fantastic place to visit the star is Concorde the history of the airfield is really interesting
m.
Awesome to see Concord. The site is being developed and is spread out at the moment, so will be great when it’s all done.
There’s Concord Church that meets on a Sunday at 10.30am there too!
M. a. K.
Dedicated staff and volunteers were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We were sad to not be able to sit in the Concorde, but you can walk through it and touch the outside to the extent that you can reach it. Not being able to sit (unlike another site in the Uk) is the only reason why it’s not 5 stars
K. T.
First time visiting, thought it was great, too much to take in in one visit, Concorde was brilliant what a feat of engineering and a great cafe as well. Highly recommended if you like all things aeroplane.
J. Y.
We spent a few hours here looking at history of Bristol aerospace and especially the beautiful Concorde. Slightly expensive but enjoyable. Good layout of exhibits with lots of clear information.
M. a.
Museum was excellent. Well worth a visit.
Only downside was afterwards.
Seven of us went to cafe for meals and drinks only to be told they don't accept cash
Absolutely ridiculous
There we are trying to support a local business and they force us all to go to a Bristol pub for lunch
Crazy
L. W.
Very fun and very interesting place, the Concorde was incredible and all the exhibits and things about the museum were interesting, from missiles to helicopters this really is an interesting friendly and amazing place, plus one ticket will get you in for the next year too!
G. R.
This is something to see, as there's a lot more than just the Concorde here and the friendliness of the staff makes the experience a wonderful and super interesting dayout. With your personalised unique ticket you get here, you can come back agaim anytime for a year.
R. B.
Social distancing highly observed. One way system in place but as always it is the people who don't follow.
Had a lovely time. We went for 10:30 slot and it was not too busy. Interesting facts about the early days of aeroplanes and the history of filton.
Went to see the concorde onbthe other hangar. Queue for 10 minutes to go inside the aircraft, only 1 family/party at a time. Volunteers and staff friendly and helpful. Simulator closed at the moment. Surely will visit again.
J. B.
Nice little museum with lots of history about Bristol Aviation but the cherry on top is the perfectly kept Concorde where one can get in and see the beauty from every angle. Nice family day out.
M. M.
Great museum that offers to see/experience Concorde
A. S.
I've been many times and I still find out new information. The volunteers are great, so knowledgeable!
H. C.
Really good place! I loved the exposition and Concorde was the most impressive part of it! Really nice for visiting with kids! I also was impressed by good accessibility for wheelchair users. Would recommend this museum!
K. H.
I had been meaning to visit this museum for a long time, being as it’s the home of the last ever Concorde and where Concorde began, and I must say, I did enjoy my visit, but I felt really underwhelmed. £18 for an adult for a start is overpriced for a small museum. At Duxford for £20 you saw way more. I feel there could’ve been more exhibits in terms of aircraft and more on the role Filton played throughout its history. More on the history of Airbus and Rolls Royce, things like that. The café was expensive, but I always expect that from a museum. Gift shop was full of nice things though. It was lovely to see Concorde I must say. It’s all well and good saying you can come back as many times as you want with the entry ticket, but when you’ve seen it all already, what’s the point? The staff are a credit to the place, nice and polite.
P. B.
Great little place, staff and volunteers are lovely.
First time here and we will be coming back.
Cafe - nice portions which filled us all up 😄
Great clean facilities.

Great museum to see some aeroplane history. I was hoping to see a few more pieces from the jet age but that’s just me. The Concorde is in its own hanger which just adds to the experience. You can go into the plane and walk through. You can see the cockpit but can’t physically step into it. When you walk through the plane you can’t sit on the seats either. But a great experience if you’ve never seen Concorde up close before.
S. M.
What a fantastic venue for an evening dinner. Concorde was much bigger than I expected. Lovely food from the catering company and the tour around Concorde was fascinating. Years ahead of its time. The exhibits are also really interesting. The hanger is really well designed for the tour and the Rolls-Royce Olympus engine that powers it is also on display. Lovely clean venue and fantastic and friendly staff. Definitely recommend for a memorable dinner and hosting large black tie dinners.

This is a really wonderful museum celebrating not only Bristol's place in the history of Concorde, but Bristol's place in aviation history! It's a great venue, with a variety of spaces and exhibits, not least of which is the bespoke Concorde 'hanger', which offers amazing close up views of the plane from just about every conceivable angle, inside and out. The use of light projection to show the workings of the engine on the side of the engine casing is awesome! This is a really inspiring place for any budding historian, engineer, aviator...
As an event space, this venue is one of the best in Bristol for hosting a 'wow' event. The atmospheric seating underneath Concorde is incredible and with easy access and loads of hassle free parking, it's well worth checking out.
Loads of events going on as well as the general museum admission too. And a really cost effective season pass available to keep coming back all year!
Love it! ❤
R. H.
Fantastic museum with interactive and informative displays and much more to offer than just seeing the Concorde. Concorde itself was spectacular - well choreographed projections shown on the side of the plane were a fantastic addition. Ticket is valid for 12 months too if you want to return.
c. h.
What a fantastic museum (especially for AVgeeks). The walk through of Concorde was a great experience. Advice...book the earliest slot and go straight to Concorde. We didn't have to queue.
M. P.
Arrived full of anticipation of getting up close to some iconic aircraft. Most of the interesting information is difficult to read as the lighting is not good enough!! If you use reading glasses then the writing is mostly to far away from you. The two historic aircraft are beautiful exhibits, Concord is outstanding. We left feeling disappointed 😞
M.
Must GO with kids to enlighten their interest on Science, Engineering amd History
D. A.
The final resting place of the iconic Concorde! Lots of other interesting stuff to see. Nice to get an annual pass.
J. P.
Lots to see here and covers planes and helicopters. The cafe was nice and a fair price. Everything was clean and the staff really helpful throughout the museum. Highlight was the Concorde. There were projections onto the side of the plane to watch and it looked fab. Could walk underneath it and see inside. Trail for children and touchscreen information with lots of pictures.
A. M.
Well worth a visit ... Again and again ... Why not 5 stars ? Only Bo Derek was a 10 (you have to be a certain age to get that reference). Most recent visit was a private event, something special to dine under Concorde in that fantastic hangar. Especially good to know that this Concorde hasn't been butchered like most of the others.

I'd always wanted to see Concorde as it was a magnificent piece of British/French craftsmanship. The museum was easy to get to being located on the outskirts of Bristol. The car park has plenty of space but as we went on Easter Friday, it was quite quiet. The main entrance has a museum behind it containing the history of Bristol and the role the airport played during the war. The are many historical planes there and at certain times during the day there talks held by staff to give further insight about the planes, etc.
The cafeteria is quite large and has plenty of cold & hot food choice. It is very clean and there are plenty of staff on hand. There is also outdoor seating in the open or under a small canopy.
Concorde is located in another building which is a short walk behind the main building. As you walk through the doors, you can see the plane in all its glory, there was some light projected on to the plane to celebrate its history. The staff on hand were very welcoming and helped answer many of my questions regarding the history of Concorde. I was able to take alot of pictures from inside the hanger and the inside/outside of the plane. There is also a seperate room which shows test parts and mock ups of the plane, past uniforms worn by the crew, details of the menus and cutlery used.
You can take your time and explore or sit and admire the breathtaking view of Concorde.
The good thing about the ticket is that it is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase so you can go as many times as you like to the museum.

Dynamic museum with something for everyone and always developing with new assembly shed.. Cafe providing lunches
P. M.
Amazing place, could spend whole day there!!!

Very interesting. Wasn't to busy Saturday morning and was able to stroll around the museum at a leisurely pace. Had a cappuccino £2.40 which was lovely. Cafe was clean and spacious. Staff very friendly. Concorde was brilliant. Spent about 3hrs here. Free parking and disabled access.
P. K.
Excellent museum. The Concorde hanger is very special. All exhibits have excellent information panels. Old planes in beautiful condition, hands on experiences etc. Good shop, not overwhelming but well chosen gifts.
B. M.
Fantastic just opened museum. Don't forget to visit the Concorde hanger for an imaginative display of the last Concorde to fly. No student discount but the ticket lasts all year. Good parking nearby and the whole site is suitable for disabled users/push chairs, etc.
T. J.
A very interesting museum, explaining the story of transport and flight, at Filton Airfield, where tha Concorde was developed and built in this country. The French and British worked together, the Feench site was at Toulouse.
A. L.
Fab place in city to learn about aircrafts. Buy a ticket and it's already an annual pass! Personally love it but would recommend it for older kids (at least 8+) when they have more concepts of engines. Not difficult to go there even by bus from centre, think the direction on website is slightly over-complicated; a visual map would definitely describes better. Also would appreciate if it can show how to get there from some nearby train stations. Entrance is a bit hidden at the back appreciate more signs guiding where entrance is. Doesn't make sense when there are different kinds of family tickets (even grands) but not family ticket for a family of 2 adults and 1 kid. Family of 2 adults and 1 kid is still a family! It's a really good place to get older kids involved in aircrafts, engines and science but would appreciate if there are more children interactions if it's the aim to get kids interest in. Most of them are only touch screens to explain how things work. One and only one hands on game on the ground floor of the Concorde building where you move robots around objects. Super delighted to able to see and get on Concord. Very friendly staff there. Had a nice half day thanks a lot.
M. H.
Took my grandad here for his Xmas present and we loved it. Was nice to take him back to the place he worked all those years ago. The main attraction is the concord but the museum before is very good. The cafe/canteen onsite is very well priced and the food is good value for money.
Seeing as the ticket is valid for a year we will defiantly return.
F.
Went with three friends, really enjoyed our experience! Started in the cafe which was delicious, staff were great and indulged in some friendly banter. Really appreciated what was a plethora of aerospace history and innovation. Best part by far was the Concorde experience, getting onboard for a good look around and being able to sit in a mock up cockpit (which we were informed will be turned into a simulator sometime soon) was awesome. Important note that once you buy your entry ticket for £15, you can return (with ID) for free for up to a year. Highly recommended!
R. T.
To finally see Concorde in all her glory. The build up as you walk through lots of old planes and some not so old, working parts engines showing how the magic happens. Cars, trucks, helicopters, engines, engines, engines. Avionics and space satellites. Then walk across to see her ladyship. And wow, the staff are knowledgeable and genuinely love her, stories abound and info all about her. Memorabilia and pictures to tell the real story of a most amazing lady.
D. C.
Well worth a visit here. Lots of interesting exhibits, plus Concorde itself is very impressive. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is free and there is a Cafe too.
G. M.
Lovely day out. Concorde is something special to see. Can get around in 2hrs but could easily spend 3. Gift shop is one of the best I've seen, some old school toys.
As a suggestion to make it easier for families, it would be great to have a few things for kids to touch and play with in the museum. Please note their is an outside playground for kids but it was too cold when we went.
M. W.
After what seems an age l finally got to visit the museum to take advantage of a Christmas gift.
Just an amazing experience, loved being able to touch the Harrier and be so close to see the workings. The history and exhibits of earlier flight 1914-1918 was tremendous plus the inter active exhibits were educational. Being close up to those deadly missiles used during the Cold War demonstrated how dangerous the time was. The pis de resistance was of course the visit to see CONCORDE, housed in a separate building first sight is awesome, so majestically beautiful and still looks as though it should be in flight. The commentary is very educational and done very well plus there is an opportunity to visit inside. There is a nice cafe serving sandwiches, cakes and drinks.
A lovely, history filled day out.
T. M.
Excellent museum, steeped in Bristol and wider aviation history. Loads of exhibits of all shapes and sizes, many interactive too. All staff/volunteers were excellent, helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. We ate in the cafe too and was pleasently surprised of the quality and great value on offer. Covid restrictions weren't a hindrance in any way. Great way to spend a few hours.
G. G.
Great walk through museum. Well displayed, great information available and to be able to see a full Concorde was just amazing. I would though roughly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bristol!
P. G.
Excellent day out! So much to see, learn and do! Brilliant restoration of the original hangers! Simply beautiful architecture. Clean open spaces. Friendly staff. Ample parking!
I. B. (.
What an interesting place to visit! I can only recommend going to Aerospace Bristol and not only is the wonderful Concorde to see and learn about, but there is so much more to see about the long history of the aviation industry in Bristol. There is a nice cafe to visit a the end of the visit too, it serves lovely and treated myself to a rather tasty and moist piece of Carrot Cake.....
S. P.
An excellent well laid out journey explaining Bristol's aviation history. It's ends with an opportunity to see and go in the last ever Concorde jet. Brilliant cafe and friendly staff made the whole morning an amazing experience.
S. C.
This is an interesting museum with two major exhibitions. The main exhibition covers 100 years of Bristol aviation history. A separate hanger contains the final Concorde to be built, and the last to fly. The Concorde exhibit is mesmerising alone. Entrance is quite pricey, £16.50 for adults although you get multiple entries for a year.
S. S.
I had a great time at the museum as I am a aerospace & defence tech enthusiast. Even those who are not will have a good time. It showcases the early days of aerospace to future technologies. The main attraction is of course the Concorde. Overall an excellent attraction away from the city to spend an afternoon. The ticket for an adult is 17 pounds which seems a bit hight; however it's valid for an entire year so you can visit multiple times. The in-house cafe was very good as well. The souvenirs were a little overpriced I felt.
j. r.
A fresh new aerospace museum on the site of so much aeronautical history. Home of the last concord to fly. You will love what they have done with the big bird. And find out lots about what a deep history the site has. Give it chance as it is new and a charity it still needs to grown into it's surroundings. But great value for money. And good food.
M. R.
Really interesting museum about the history of plane and other manufacturing at the Filton site. The Concorde is obviously the star of the show. Still breathtaking to see it up close. Magnifique!
I would give this place 5 stars but the access via public transport is very poor. It's a 1km walk from the nearest bus stop along a busy main road. Not good enough for one of Bristol's best museums.
S.
The Aerospace Bristol museum is located on the edge of the old Filton airfield complex in one of the old buildings with a new purpose built building that houses Concord.
Entry is fairly priced but tickets are valid for 1 year from purchase, there for you can return as many times as you want during the year.
The museum is split between a timeline and history of Filton/Bristol’s Aerospace heritage, from early 18/19 hundreds through to present day. The second section is then Concord specific, with a small section on the history and the chance to walk through Concord it’s self.
The exhibits are informative and child friendly with hands on sections throughout. There is also a cafe and play area.
Overall it’s great to have a museum that pays tribute to the history and people that made/make Aerospace in Bristol still an important part of the economy, but personally it feels like that could have done more and unfortunately is lacking in depth to see many visitors returning time and time again.
M. P.
Well I have to say that Aerospace Bristol exceeded my expectations. It's a walk through aerospace history, starting with bi-planes, then helicopters, a Harrier Jump Jet, guided missiles, satellites, and of coarse the main event..... Concord, brought back to its former glory and so much more. there is a nice cafe area, with a selection of cooked food, plus sandwichs, cakes and coffee. plus nice clean toilets . concidering the £15 ticket price, this was a great afternoon out, and you can re-use your entry ticket for a whole year, go as many times as you like. I'll be back. ps if you find this review helpful, please give it a 👍
M. a. S. C.
Expensive for what it is. Not a lot of (working) interactive exhibits for children - quite a lot of reading necessary to make sense of exhibits. Concord is well displayed. The "rocket launching" was underwhelming. I wouldn't recommend travelling far to visit...
A. H.
The home of Concord, a must visit destination with an array of aircraft and exhibits showing the story of Concord and it's development.
A ticket lasts for 12 months so you can return again. The Concord area allows you on the aircraft and has a great viewing area to take in the sheer excellence of it all.
We spent a good four hours there so it is good value for money. Please pay a visit as they need to keep it running and maintain the exhibition.
There is also a Harrier jump jet which is another icon of the airways.
J. H.
Really nice museum, lots of aircraft to look around and taught me a lot about the aviation history of Bristol which I had no idea about before. Seeing Concord is the highlight and I couldn’t believe you were aloud to have a look around inside.
J. D.
An absolutely fantastic place to go if you're an aviation enthusiast, or just looking for a day out. The Concorde is definitely the centre piece of the visit, as they have a whole hangar dedicated to its history with allocated guides and exhibits.
The only two things I would critique is the price of the tickets per head, and the cost of the food. Other than that, no qualms whatsoever and a fully enjoyable visit.
If you ever find yourself in the area, do pay the museum a visit as it's something worthwhile for everyone.
J. L. D.
Love it here. Have been a few times and the place always fascinates me. Great day out with the family. Tickets are reasonably priced and if you gift aid your ticket you can return for the year for free.
P. G.
I really wasn't sure if this trip was going to be worth it just to look at concord however it was a pleasant surprise to find that there is so much more to the experience. The ticketing is airport themed which is a nice touch and the staff we encountered were excellent. The exhibitions are modern and fresh giving interest, many being interactive. The exhibition is much broader than concord covering a broad spectrum of the aero industry in an easily accessible way.
W. K.
Very interesting museum, focusing on Bristol's involvement in the aerospace industry, everything from cars to planes and into space, it has plenty of free parking, toilets and a nice cafe, friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable and willing to impart their love of the subject,
R. F.
There are three distinct things to do/see here. 1st if you are part of a youth group or school do pay for one of the STEM learning workshops, excellent value and the staff running them are amazing. In fact great team building exercises that would be just as suitable for a company CPD day as they are for younger kids. Everyone loved the activity and whilst surprisingly simple, teams had to work hard to win.
2nd the museum of aviation and engines is magnificent, very informative and perhaps even too much as there is an overload of senses, better to have a breather in the cafe and relax so that you can come back and see more. From Bristol engines in old cars, to Ramjet rockets, to all manner of aircraft; there is something there for old and young alike.
3rd The Concorde exhibition, the plane itself is amazing and still seems so futuristic, but speaking to the volunteers who worked on it makes it even more magical, just stop and talk to them and let them take you on the journey of what it must have been like.
The whole thing is sensory overloaded and my senses are still grinning from ear to ear.
A. B.
Loved how it went from the very first of flying to the beautiful concord. The staff were very helpful and friendly and most of all very knowledgeable. Even had some space items.
K. S.
Great venue, well thought out. Very accessable for all and lots to see. Its great that something of Concorde remains.
D. H.
Truly unique location for a function under the wings of Concorde and a look inside this beautiful piece of engineering excellence with a photo to add to the memory. Whilst the food was good, the caterers let themselves down, scruffy untrained staff, one bar which a choice of one red and one white wine.
Dirty plates not cleared at end of meal.
Still didn't spoil what was a memorable evening.
P. C.
Terrific day out. Took my dad for a treat, and we were both pleasantly surprised at how much there was to see. We had arrived thinking we would see maybe a bit of history relating to Concorde, but were really happy to discover that the whole history of Bristol's involvement in aerospace was covered, all points in between. From coachbuilding trams, through radial engine development, helicopters, Bristol Cars, Harrier Jumpjet, Bloodhound missiles and on to modern satellites. Very worthwhile!
G. C.
It is a good place to bring young kids to. There are many exhibits, models, written info as well as guided tour. Children can enjoy themselves on the get on Concord model. There is a workshop for children too about basic understanding of aerospace. The gift shop is nice with variety of sovenior items to buy. Ideal for children aged 8 and above. There is a small play area as well for the little ones and a cafeteria.
D. K.
We decided to visit after seeing a small segment on Saturday night takeaway not really knowing what to expect. I took my 8 year old son who thoroughly loved the experience. It's a nice mix of museum with hands-on exhibits and some science experiments. The venue is suitable for all ages with a nice little themed play park outside for a little break should the museum experience get a little much for the little ones. The only thing that would have improved the experience would be the ability to try the simulators that were there, but this may be a restriction due to COVID and if that's the case it's understandable.
Thank you to all the staff who maintain and work at the venue. We will be back and look forward to seeing any new exhibits in the future.
K. M.
Easy to find from the M5 motorway and a great day. The Concorde was worth it along with the rest of the exhibits.
m. h.
It was really interesting and I'm proud to be British. Concord was awesome and the staff were really helpful. It was £17 to get in but you can go back anytime within a year for free on the same ticket. Fantastic place.
I. L.
Very impressed. Staff very knowledgeable, canteen staff very helpful and polite. Toilets impeccable which is always a sign of a well run establishment. Guidance for getting there also exceptional where others would just leave you to go wrong with the postcode, the museums guidance helps you avoid this.
Spent much longer there than I expected. The WW1 era planes were exceptional as were the various engines. A few more planes on show would be good. Also maybe a model or photos of the airfield through the ages would be good as I couldn’t work out what had been what as do much sadly built on.
Shame this was never Bristol airport really but that’s councils for you.
T. W.
Well worth a visit. Lots to see and learn about the aerospace industry of the past.
Staff very informative.
I. “. O. B. B.
We went here today to celebrate my Grandfather who worked at Filton from the 1940’s until the 70’s. The displays and treasures in this place evoked strong memories and emotions. Thank you for a fabulous time.
G. 9. (.
Really well-run. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteer staff. Superb cappuccino too
S. Q.
First class museum, even my non-geeky wife enjoyed it. The media projections genuinely added to the already interesting displays. The café was very good and the staff excellent. Good Covid cleaning regime without being overbearing.
A. L.
Took the old man for father's day. After spending his entire working life in the aviation sector he was like a kid in a sweet shop. My only complaint is that a few of the interactive exhibits are broken and unfortunately the simulator is not open to the public. Other than that it was a fantastic day out and good value for money.
W. M.
Great place, learn about aviation history a little bit, how they built the airplane in the old days. Concorde is something else though, what a beauty..
A. C.
Aerospace Bristol has done an amazing job preserving the exhibits especially Concorde.
Really enjoyed the visit there and will definitely go back.
P. C.
Great exhibition and informative helpful staff. Very interesting to find out the history of Aerospace in Bristol and the story of how it came about. Lots to find out and see, including full size original and replica aircraft. A junior school party was having a great time with the interactive learning exhibits too.
J. M.
Fantastic location lots of interesting history and staff/volunteers are super helpful. Cafe was nice and clean. Free year entry after your ticket so this is the second time We've been in the last 6 months. Nice little play area as well for the kids as a nice break.
D. R.
A fantastic place to visit that strikes the balance well between 'attraction' and 'museum'. The highlight for many will likely be Concorde, but the venue is absolutely rammed full of historic aircraft (including military), with any number of interesting sections to learn more about how aviation has developed through time. Well worth a visit to get up close and learn more about countless examples of brilliant engineering.
i. h.
Fantastic museum with some unique exhibits , Concorde is superbly displayed but a great revisit of Bristol's historic aviation past. We visited during the covid issues and they are fully set up for hygiene and social distancing needs, a recommended day out for a rainy day. Quick and easy access to the motorway or Cribbs for shopping. Restaurants also had superb covid procedures, great organisation.
S. m.
I really enjoyed my visit here, it might not be everybody’s cuppa tea because some people might find it tedious, but there is plenty to do here even for the kids. The most amazing part in my opinion was walking over to the huge hanger and nested inside is the beautiful Concorde. It literally took my breath away and the size of it and being able to walk through the plane is an amazing experience. It is a good day out and therefore I fully recommend.
S. E.
Not just the fantastic Concorde but a glimpse into the past with the excellent museum. A great day out for any aviation enthusiast.
A. G.
Myself and my eldest daughter visited on fathers day, and wow seeing concord up close was fabulous. Apart from this of course there is some much to see regarding bristol 's major part in the aviation industry. Well worth the admission fee .
S. H.
Aerospace Bristol is well worth a visit for all ages. Well spaced out exhibits, lots of information from the write brothers, the history of planes through the war, fighter jets and more finishing with the History of Concord being their main attraction. We spent a good 3 hours here which included a stop in the cafe for cream tea.
The volunteers who are positioned all around the exhibition are very friendly and very well knowledgeable on all aspects.
For those concerned about covid restrictions, it has been carefully thought out with plenty of hand sanitising stations and a one way system where you don't miss any of the exhibits.
The price into the exhibit (July 21) adult £17.50 child up to 17 £9.50 and students £16. Was definitely well worth the money. Cafe prices were very reasonable to. We brought a 2 adults and 1 child ticket and a student ticket costing £57. An added bonus with these tickets, you can revisit anytime for up to a year.
If your not particularly into planes but the other member of your party is, the cream tea in the cafe is superb - a massive homemade scone, clotted cream and jam 😋 I'm just sorry I didn't take a photo of that.
P. “. W.
Nice interactive family experience.
£16.50 for an adult ticket allows you to return as many times as you like for a year (£9.00 for a child)
There is a cafe which is not very reasonable, if it was a little cheaper then they wouldn't need signs up saying only food purchased from the cafe can be consumed there.
Nice outside play area and picnic area.
Friendly, helpful staff with a font of knowledge.
S. M.
Excellent museum of the aircraft industry in Bristol. Very informative hands-on displays with the actual aircrafts in the buildings culminating in a hangar containing the last Concorde to land at Filton. Best museum we have visited for a while!! Good children's climbing area too.
M. A.
Very good exhibition, we specially loved the Concorde. Go early to avoid queuing. Very well equipped for social distancing and the cafeteria is literally cleaned by the minute.
S. b.
Fascinating exhibitions of engineering products associated with Bristol. Concorde and lots of other planes. Cars too plus a lot of other items. Allow at least a couple of hours to see it all properly. The volunteers who act as guides will bring the exhibits alive with their knowledge.
W. J.
Went here in August 2020, easy to book online and good social distancing. Fascinating to know the history of Fulton and so many planes. Nice little cafe for coffee, plenty of toilets and of course going inside Concorde. The tickets can be reused for up to a year after you have bought them. Took me about 3 hours to poodle around.
A. C.
Had a lovely afternoon at the Aerospace museum, with my wife. Need to go again as there is so much to see and do. It includes a lot of history of the Filton site, so includes, trams, cars, boats, weapon systems. Well designed for children too, with lots of activities.
D. O.
Full of inspiration and history, well worth a visit, loved Concorde a beautiful aircraft and even better in the flesh
P. M.
A fabulous day out! Of course, Concorde is the star of the show, but there is plenty to do and see besides. Worthy of note, wheelchair access is second-to-none. Unlike most other Concorde exhibits around the UK, I was able to board Concorde and the Bristol Britannia fuselage.Truly terrific! Be sure to see all three films shows projected onto the Concorde fuselage - a stunning celebration!
J. B.
Went too see last flying Concorde....amazing, slso museum on the planes made in area. The volunteers have a vast knowledge on all exhibits. There's a cafe, picnic area and toilets, a good experience.
J. O.
On the face of it, well curated but weighted too heavily towards children. Concorde is a let down as the cockpit is behind a scratched perspex screen which precludes worthwhile photography. Half the cabin is also closed and you're not allowed to sit in the seats although they were offering 'the Queen's seat' which was probably a bit of jubilee jollity. On the plus side, AF is much better looked after than some other Concordes.
Lunch in the café was actually very good and good value.
J. M.
We were very impressed when attending a Prince's Trust fund raising event here. The staff were lovely and the food provided was delicious. Having access to board Concorde was fantastic and something I've always wanted to do. It is very easy to get here by car and there is plenty of parking.
s. m.
Very informative place to visit, staff are very helpful and really nice. Cafe is top notch and not over priced
N. L.
Nice modern museum, great for rainy days. Lots of things for young kids to do. Great to see Concorde again. Good cafe and shop. Only critiscism would be nice if they had more planes there.
j. m.
A very enjoyable experience, thanks to the volunteer guides who shared their in depth knowledge of the subject matter so enthusiastically. Very professionally presented layout , food venue immaculately clean and tidy, food exceptional. Staff went above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable.
V. B.
This was an amazing space to watch the Massive Attack gig. Really well set up. A bit bloody chilly, but hey, it is March! Stunning bit of work. Whichever roadies sorted this in such a short space of time should be really congratulated. The sound was a bit quiet but I suspect that was due to restrictions in place. Most enjoyable experience.
A.
Really enjoyed visit last week. I have visited a few aviation museums during last months and this one is my favourite. Staff is very enthusiastic and friendly. For every aviatior place must visit!
C. A.
Fantastic place and loved concorde. Staff were very friendly, helpful and informative
The you for a great day, we will be back !
S. T.
Thank you for a fantastic visit and very interesting with the Concorde and the best being the restoration hanger being the most interesting for me
S. J.
Nicely laid out museum. We didn’t have enough time to go around the whole lot, so we are using our tickets to go back, soon. ( they are valid for a year)
C. C.
Loved it, great family experience, very informative and fascinated my children who love aerospace engineering.
V.
A milestone in aviatic history. Amazing. Probably one of a few places in the world where you can see and walk through a Concorde. Also airplanes from WW1 to Harrier could be admired.
Very welcoming staff.
M. B.
Amazing experience of british aviation history. Volunteers were absolutely amazing in assisting and giving information ..
My boy really enjoyed the Concorde experience. Great day out for young engineers and pilots
M. “. H.
I am volunteer here and I am proud to be part of this museum. It is very friendly place and I still learn new interesting things every time I'm in. And the food and coffee in cafe is amazing as well. It is always highlight of my week.
S. B.
What a fantastic place ! The home for now of one of aviation's most incredible feats of engineering.. Concorde. The museum itself is full of fascinating artifacts from a bygone era topped off with the facts and figures that shows how the Bristol area helped forge Britain as a leading innovator in aircraft technology. Do yourself a favour and go see this amazing piece of history before they move the Concorde again.
M.
The closest thing to flying Concorde that you'll ever get now... This exhibition is still work in progress as they need to refine the experience still but overall a really good one. The team were knowledgeable and really friendly.
S. P.
The bad. Poor access by public transport, although to be honest it is only a brisk 10 minute walk from Gypsy Patch Lane, brisk as the weather was close to freezing.
The good. A stunning new museum devoted to Bristol's major role in aviation history. Concorde deservedly takes pride of place in its own hangar, but the other exhibits from the early days of flying through the Luftwaffe's bombing raids on Filton, and up to date with the involvement with the airbus, make this a compelling place to visit. And a decent shop at the end.
Well worth a visit.
P.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here, not just because of Concorde, (although that was the main attraction for us), but also because of all the other history and interesting exhibits.
So many things to see to do with aviation and also a really nice cafe and gift shop onsite.
J. Z.
Great olace with lots of great volunteers as staff who has affection with aviation. There were even challengesjfor children to do. Timeline of different aircrafts. There is even a lovely restaurant in the Aerospace Bristol
S. H.
Fantastic day out, loads of things to see and enjoy. You don't need to be a huge fan of aeroplanes to enjoy this place. My little boy loved all of it
J. C.
A bit expensive but your ticket is valid for a whole year return. The concord made it worth it for me. For someone who likes history and war this is a great visit. .. especially mechanical engineers
A. B.
Fantastic place to visit, not just for the Concord, but also for the aviation history exhibits. Lovely cafe inside, with nice coffee and a bite to eat. Free parking on site. Leave yourself a full day to do it justice.
N. V.
Really enjoyed this and a great place to visit for a couple of hours.
We felt very safe and secure with the Covid/social distant measures in place.
The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Going on Concorde and getting an introduction from a retired Concorde engineer was great to see.
And knowing you can go back as many times as you like for a year makes this a no brainer.
C. D.
Amazing time spent here. Once you go you can return within 12 months. Really informative displays with great additions such as a sea harrier. Obvious highlight is Concorde which is presented in an amazing way with great displays projected onto the body of the aircraft. Staff are really well informed on the displays and the facilities are great. Would highly recommend, especially for people with family ties to the aviation industry in Bristol.
D. W.
Excellent exhibits and great guide Steve. Concorde displayed beautifully. Informative displays. Easy parking.
L. E.
We spent approximately 4 hours here. Lots to see and do. Having the opportunity to board Concorde is amazing too
j. s.
You get annual tickets and it is our perfect rainy day activity with my little children. Definitely worth to visit the old historic Concorde.
M. P.
Very cool museum- interesting exhibitions about history of local aerospace industry and amazing exhibits -including one of few concorde airplains. One challenge- gow to get to the museum without a car.
j. b.
Good. Needs a little more signage and public transport support. Not everyone wants to get there by car and this has been completely disregarded. So 1 less star
R. J.
Didn't know this place existed until a friend told me, even a bigger bonus that the ticket lasts for 12 months, plenty to see and getting to walk onto concord was a fabulous experience.
J. F.
I've always had an interest in aviation and this museum has really opened my eyes to just how important Bristol was (and is) to British Aviation.
Great exhibition pieces with a very relaxed atmosphere, all topped off by experiencing closeup the greatest achievement in commercial aviation by admiring and 'boarding' Concorde.
I've already been twice and will 100% go again.
N. O.
Excellent day out with kids. We all loved it.
D. C.
Big free car park, lovely and friendly staff that make you welcome, tours you can join. Ticket is valid for a year for unlimited visits.
G.
Probably the only time in history when technology took a step back was when this Concorde was grounded !! Sad , but very happy and excited that I could see one at Bristol Aerospace !! Highly recommended !!!
M. V.
We loved it, the museum is big lots to see café has a good selection. Concorde is the main though
N. C.
Good way to spend a few hours on a wet day. Informative boards with each if the displays could get quite technical, but I like that. They've taken a sensible approach to keep the site safe during the pandemic, plenty of sanitisation areas and one way systems in force. Cafe isn't cheap, but hot food was decent, sandwiches a bit boring
m. a.
Great museum with some great aircraft and history. Amazing to see concord up close and to go inside as well
G. H.
Stunning, the objects here were amazing and so much history to learn and also the Concorde to visit
M. P.
The newly opened home of the iconic Concorde hanger has been designed to allow the visitors to get close and personal with the magnificent plane and it's history, it was designed and born in Filton so a fitting retirement it is back home when it landed for the last time in 2003, older plane hangers have been converted into a history of plane design at Filton/Bristol with some great exhibits to see for all ages. The area has the potential for growth when charity costs allow.
J. B.
A big shout out to the volunteers that are such a passionate part of this "museum" with deepknowledge of their interest. Be prepared for the story of Bristol from a perspective of aviation with a real human touch.
H. E.
Well if your a big plane enthusiast then this is the place to go...
Everything from a sea harrier to concord as you can see in my picture. World war planes and some of the first planes to fly, it has it all. Fantastic place great gift shop, great price and the ticket last for the year I believe.
I will be back soon.
R. K.
This museum was very nice. Lots to see and lots of information to take in! Definitely worth a visit if you’re at any age.
M. C.
There is a lot more there than I thought there would be. We took over 4 hours to see all the exhibits (including a break for lunch). It was really interesting to see all the history and achievements of the Filton site even before Concorde.
The only criticism I would have is a lack of seats/benches for those that need to sit down to rest at regular intervals, especially in the Concorde hanger where there were a number of people sitting on the floor along the the back wall while watching the videos projected onto the side of Concorde.
e. r.
I really loved every part of the museum.
It is plenty of unique pieces of engineering to see and admire (the Concorde, a world war I fighter and scout, rockets, helicopters, engines, wings, cockpits) as well as a lot of info, historical docs and photos about the role of Bristol in British aviation.
M.
Great attraction, not only exploring the history of Concorde but the Filton airfield contribution to aviation
N. P.
Great collection of British aircraft from over 100 years. Concorde is obviously the central piece and it is amazing to see it up close and being able to board it and be able to walk around the outside on 2 levels and be able to touch and experience it. The new multi media digital exhibit of how Concorde came to be is incredible. Really great staff who know a lot about the aircraft and the history behind them.
D. L.
Was amazing to see Concorde! To avoid queues try and get there early as possible go straight to Concorde.
I. C.
An educational trip through the origins of British transport engineering with Concorde at the apex. To lay hands on such a historic plane was, in itself, worth the drive from Durham, but to then find Captain Colin Morris meeting and greeting visitors and Chief Engineer John Britton sitting alongside my son in the simulator was phenomenal. A fantastic day with staff who were determined to provide the best experience means that we will be visiting again when it opens fully.
An excellent job by everyone there.
D. D.
Thought it was interesting and well laid out but don't try and drive there with out of date maps on your satnav, due to all the recent road "improvements"...... Absolute nightmare.
A. Y.
Fabulous day, learnt lots, so much to see & do, full day spent, highlight was seeing & going inside Concorde very Privileged.
y. k.
Very interesting museum showcasing many original aircrafts and detailed replicas replicas including an original harrier jump jet. However, the centrepiece of the museum is the Concorde. Great exhibit showcases the interior and exterior of the Concorde. Cafe is nice too.
B. P.
It was pretty magical if I'm honest. Some engaging and very cool displays. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Concorde was awe inspiring and something that I will never forget
C. G.
Although Aerospace Bristol is not the largest museum by a long way, it is however one of the best in the country! The highlight has to be the Concorde hanger where you can step onto the iconic plane itself. The rest of the exhibits are also very interesting and children will enjoy this place. Even the building is historic as being part of the original Bristol factory. It's good for photographs too with more than the average space to take good shots. Plenty of parking, however if coming via public transport be aware it is a fair distance to the nearest Bristol or Cribbs Causeway bound bus routes! It is not well signposted either so you are relying on your phone with Google Maps installed!
c. P.
Really enjoyable was great to actually go inside the Concorde & actually see the cockpit & walk through the plane
C. W.
We had tickets for the second Christmas this year and have been twice since this year alone. The kids love the xmas themed things going on and went to see santa in the mock up cockpit of Concorde! We went again last week (2nd Jan) as Concorde's nose was being lowered, well worth going to see if you can! Absolutely love this place.
J. R.
Only visited the Concorde hanger while taking part in a meeting being held there, but what a venue! Iconic stuff and so well laid out and lit. Bags of info to keep you entertained for several hours. Take a mask at the moment to actually get inside Concorde, and allow time to see the other galleries, that I must come back to view.
I. F.
This is a great experience for a wide range of ages looking at Bristol's engineering history. There are some hands on exhibits. The Concorde experience is superb. Well presented with projections on to the aircraft. Loved it☺️
G. T.
Great day out for young and old, plenty to see and lots of information to be gained. Concorde was my favourite exhibit. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely cafe serving lunch and sandwiches. Free return for a year what a bargain.
M. G.
Amazing, absolutely loved Concorde, and to be able to go on board was a bucket list experience.
You cannot go in the cockpit but it can be seen through a perspex door.
I use a stick and have a some mobility issues and I did not encounter any problems. There are stairs and a lift upto viewing the platform and entrance.
Wheelchair users would not be able to access the inside of the plane.
All volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable.
The restoration hangar is very interesting and return visits are a must.
The cafe is spacious with a reasonably priced menu and very big portions !
Your ticket entitled free unlimited returns for one year so we will definitely be returning, especially as they have special events such as when they drop the nose.
One thing to note, is when booking it is not clear that carers go free till you have checked out, I emailed them about this and was offered a refund but my husband who is not the aviation enthusiast had such a good time he declined the refund.
Finally the museum is situated just off the M5 at Cribbs Causeway and very easy to get to. We went on the 1st Feb at 10.30 and it was very quiet despite there being a school visit.
Highly recommend this place to aviation enthusiast and everyone.
G. M.
We found this place whilst on the Grand day out 2018 event. What a brilliant day ! Loved it. Exhibits are about the Bristol Aeroplane Company and their important work over the years. I wouldn't class myself as a airplane fanatic, but the museum is really interesting and great to see aircraft especially the legendary Concord up close and personal. Highly recommend it as a family day out. Albeit for a little over 3 hours. Kids weren't bored and were able to go on the play outdoor play area. And of course there is Jet powered Gromit to see !
J. E.
A lot of interesting exhibits. Good educational boards explaining exhibits. Lots of hands on activities. Inside of Concorde great. Outside play area had unique equipment but that area needed the rubbish on ground cleaning up and a bit of attention given to seating.
N. C.
Awesome museum, lost of Bristol aerospace history, 3 seperatehangers all full of planes and history. Very well presented and very informative staff. The concord is an amazing piece of history and you can actually walk through it. They even have the matching Aston Martin to go with it. Definitely worth the admission fee and will definitely be visiting again when we can.
M. B.
There are certainly aviation museums with more exhibits, but the staff have created an immaculate setting with what they have. The Concord exhibit is spectacular, even for those not overly interested in airliners. The restoration hangar is interesting with really engaging staff. The cafe is very nice indeed, and the outdoor play area is a really good touch for younger visitors. Overall, a really modern and slick presentation of some historically significant aircraft, missiles and other exhibits.
t. p.
A great day out, lots to see and do.Nice food and great coffee too.
G. C.
Nice look at concord my son never even heard of it .makes me feel old .Nice museum of old planes at artifacts.
B.
Fantastic experience. Great and detailed exhibitions, multimedia, photos and aeroplanes itself. Concorde is breathtaking, worth every penny to see. I recommend seeing Conservation Area, where you can see fixing historical planes live and talk with mechanics. Museum has well organized paths and infrastucture: restaurant, coffee, toilets, parking and fun area for kids (outside). Customer service is great.
A. S.
So much to see, and Concorde is amazing! Will go again
C. F.
Little pricey - but you do get a year ticket for it. Not a massive space but they've managed to fit a lot in it. A lot of history and fun and the ww1 hanger is beautiful.
R. J. B.
Absolutely wonderful. The story of how aviation was born is told here, right up until the present day. They have such a vast display of aircraft and artifacts, from a tram which came from the Wright Brothers original factory, to one of the finest examples of a Concorde you'll see. Even if Airplanes aren't your thing, I'm certain you'll still have a good time here. Being able to walk through a Concorde made my trip worth it.
S. P.
Excellent place to visit, lots to do and plenty of interactive thing for the children. Brilliant to be able to go on a Concorde. We also loved the exhibition of Aston Martins.
The cafe was good and reasonably priced.
W. H.
Great to see and go inside Concord plus lots of other exhibits charting the history of Bristol aircraft manufacturing. Really interesting.
Ticket allows return within 12 months. Ok cafe on site.
J. W.
Nice to see and go on board a concord, which is the main attraction. Some of the other exhibits from the Bristol company including a harrier jump jet and a biplane were also good. Good info about the company. Not a full day out though and because of this I thought the admission price a bit expensive, over £30 for 2 adults.
I. S.
If you like aviation then you have to go to this place.
A lot of things abou aviation that you can learn at this place such as turbine, flaps, and etc. Your kids will also love it.
Also, there is real British Airways Concorde displayed there. You can go in to see the cockpit and the cabins
The place is near the highway and pointed clearly at Google Maps. So if you are a tourist like me, it will be not difficult to rent a car and go to this place.
N. A.
Worth every single penny!!! Your ticket lasts all year and so far I have already been back twice! A fantastic day out for all the family!
R. G.
Enjoyed the free entry after taking a group of people there by coach. It would be nice if we were actually given a meal voucher after driving paying customers there for the day. On the downside your postcode doesn't take you to the main entrance, road signage very poor the local council needs to do more.
N.
Great to see a non-prototype Concord in person and have a look inside. Very good presentations and info too.
N. O.
This is a very modern and fairly new museum. There are a limited number of aircraft on display, although one is a concorde you can walk through. Lots of material on the vital part Filton played in the British aero industry; but I don't think it would interest the younger visitors. They seemed to like the outdoor play area. Food was also high quality in the cafe.
I did think it was rather expensive for the single visitor (ticket is valid for a further year) considering how few aircraft there actually are. Good overall, particularly Concord and the lovely Fe.2b, future projects look good too, but Bristol built so many aircraft and we see very few displayed here. So, good, but pricey with a limited number of machines on display.
G. C.
Really quite overpriced for, in reality, a small selection of exhibits. The concorde room was a sensory overload nightmare - with a movie room, interactive exhibits, a projector and constant sound - it was impossible to keep up with what was happening. Hopefully this place will grow and spread out a bit more, as the potential for more historic aircraft is stunning. I also hope the cafe rethinks its prices, nearly £10 for a baked potato was almost offensive.
If you want to pay £18 for entry, and you want to see a Concorde, consider Fleet Air. But Aerospace is absolutely one to cross off your list, and a must for any Avgeek with an interest in Bristol aircraft and designs.
w.
Excellent museum, so glad they've acquired the Bristol Freighter.
T. D.
Excellent telling if the story if aviation at Bristol, from building trams to space exploration. The Concorde hanger is very impressive holding Alpha Foxtrot, the last Concorde to land.
F. M.
Splendid Concorde experience! Worth every penny
t.
It not the cheapest attraction we ever been to but u can return within the year for free so that's ok concord is a great attraction to have there
H. B.
Attended a conference here and, what a venue!!
To be sitting under Concorde most of the day was a great experience.
The food was excellent too.
a. b.
It was lovely better than I thought it would be and concord is amazing 👏 😍
M. O.
Visited this venue as part of a conference where the dinner was held in the main hangar. What a thrill to dine out under the wings of Concorde. I never thought that I world get the opportunity to get onboard a real Concorde but my wished were granted here. A real thrill for anyone interested in a piece of aviation history.
C. H.
Bristol Aerospace covers the history of Bristol's aerospace industry from the box kite to Concorde, it's exhibits are a mixture of static displays and interactive experiences. The centre piece of which is Concorde, which provides details of its key features and the chance to go onboard. Fun for all the family.
J. K.
We want back again 🥰
A. C.
Really excellent venue, including brown signing to find it. Plenty of car parking. Located inside a hangar so plenty of space for the last Concorde to fly as well as exhibit descriptions and a side room for extra info. Excellent use of visual technology to augment the story. Experience includes a walk through the cabin. Excellent for adults and children alike.
L. B.
Kids loved the concorde and all the history about all the different aeroplanes.
K.
Simply the best place for supersonic history... And the food outlet is also very nice... A little pricey... But very nice
A. B. B. (.
Very interesting little museum. Being able to walk around Concorde was the big attraction of course.
C. S.
Fantastic aerospace experience. Very informative. Experienced people to answer your questions. Very hands on. Cafe and souvenir shop. Free parking. Highly recommended 👌
P. T.
Excellent museum dedicated to Concorde but with many other interesting exhibits relating to the motor and aviation industry in Bristol. Well worth a visit
A. A.
Great place to bring the young ones.
From the history of aviation to seeing the last actual Concord.
Staff were very friendly.
B. S.
Great place to while away a couple of hours. It’s nicely done, intimate and a little amateur but staffed by people who truly care and share interest. Only negative is the price -entry for 1 year is great if you are a enthusiast or with keen children. One visit is plenty and for that entry price should be 50%.
S. M.
An amazing place to go if you are interested in aviation and the history of it. Tickets are worth the money, you can buy tickets and come back free with them for a year.
T. M. S.
Lovely guidance with marvelous assistance
S. C.
A fascinating and well presented history of the Bristol Aeroplane Company. Many interesting exhibits for the young or older visitors. The highlight of course has to be the well preserved Concorde which was the last example to fly.
R. A.
I did my apprenticeship at the last few years of final assembly, with the incoming AART BAe 146 F A1-11. I never thought it would end up being a BMW Dealer
Sad
M.
Very good place to visit even if you aren't mad about aviation. The Concorde is spectacular and a great engineering achievement. It is easy to get there from M4 and M5 interchange by Almondsbury, north of Bristol. Free parking with tickets valid for a return within 12 month. If you visit until 2 September you will see a Gromit created by Rolls-Royce engineers
C. N.
Excellent museum, lots of historical information for you to digest at your leisure. There is of course Concorde which you can have a walk through if you so desire. Thought the ticket price was a little high but then you find out its valid for a year so good value. Thoroughly recommended.
M. L.
Simply mind-blowing. The Concorde exhibition is worth the entrance fee on its own. Get up close and personal - and a perspective on how small and insignificant you are! - to one of Britain's greatest design icons.
The other exhibitions documenting Bristol's role in the British aerospace industry are also worth a look. Cafe on site selling mostly the usual stuff.
S. G.
Great exhibits, well laid out in beautiful old hangars. The Concorde building is impressive and I really like the fairly minimal yet striking way the plane on show.
M. H.
Lots to see, much of which is connected to local history. The highlight is Concorde which has informational videos projected onto the side of the aircraft.
L. P.
As an engineer, this is the most interesting museum in Bristol.
It gives a really wide idea on how a big part of the technological development, that we use in our everyday life, occurred in Bristol.
All around the museum it is possible to read explanations about the exhibition, complete but easily understandable by everyone.
The museum is easy to reach by car, it is also provided of a big parking, but is not so comfortable to reach with the public transport.
E. M.
We visited to tick Gromjet off of our Gromit Unleashed Trail. On the way in, my 11 year old was moaning about how boring museums are and asking why anyone would want to go to Aerospace Bristol. A few minutes later, once inside, she completely changed her opinion and then wanted to see the whole museum. Staff are very attentive, knowledgeable and great with kids. We will be back.
R. D.
Very enjoyable experience of the history of powered flight from its infancy, conflict and forward to the future. Plenty of hands on exhibits as well as the glorious Concorde. You're able to walk through the cabin of Concorde but, we felt it very similar to any holiday aeroplane cabin. Viewing the exterior is so much more exhilarating. Definitely recommended.
S. P.
Much better than anticipated. All the exhibition's worked and the staff/volunteers were proactive in helping us understand the exhibits. Great value and great story.
R. C.
Aerospace Bristol is a good day out for the entire family, there is plenty to see and do, including Concorde, which you are able to board and look around. There is an outdoor kids play area that appears a lot of fun. The museum concentrates on the history of Bristol aerospace starting just before the first world war, up until today and beyond. There is an onsite cafe, which serves the standard coffee shop food and drinks. There is also a smaller cafe inside the Concorde hanger, which would have been nicer in my opinion, but we had already gone to the main one. The only mark down for me is the ticket price (£15 per adult), which they can get away with as its a pass that lasts for a year.
P. L.
Ticket works all year so its nice spot for alternative date:Dd .
Great museum btw.
T. B.
Brilliant but some more displays would have been an improvement xx
L. F.
a relatively new museum and one that is well thought through. you may look at other museums and see they might have more things to see physically but actually there is plenty here and having never visited Filton before this was all new to me and i learnt a lot. Concorde was the main draw, but the story of Filton being one of the first aerospace manufacturers and historically important ones is told really well in the main space which is one of the original hangars. i'll be honest the cost seemed a bit steep before going but being able to return within a year is a nice touch. i probably won't because i travelled to get there but if i did live nearby i'd nip in every week just to gaze on the majesty of the Concorde there.
let me point out a few things that i really liked about my visit.
it's location is very significant for aviation history. i;m glad they've held on to something being on this site as a lot of development nearby means it will never come back in it's former fashion but it's legacy is well preserved.
the concorde is a great experience. there are two levels to view it on and the projector screen experience on the side of the plane is a great clever way to use the white as a storyboard. getting to go inside is also great i can fully understand not being able to sit on the seats will help a lot preserving the interior with hundreds of people going inside a day.
the restoration shed, itself a restoration is also amazing. there are concorde and other professional ex and current engineers and mechanics working in there painstakingly volunteering their time to hand craft bits of bristol planes they are restoring to display condition. they are all very nice and willing to tell you about the work they are doing as you watch from behind a nearby fence. the passion for aviation is easy to tell off them and really adds to the experience feeling the love and care for the projects and planes they are restoring.
all the volunteers there are great and help make the experience even more amazing. the staff are great too as they are professional but the volunteers really have a passion for the place and went out of their way to tell us extra things. bear in mind we went during the week in winter so although it's all inside it was quite quiet apart from a few school groups.
overall definitely worth a visit. we learnt a lot and Concorde alone was great to see. a great place to visit
A. M.
An excellent museum. Worth a visit just to see the amazing Concorde
P. M.
Great place, lots of exhibits to visit and things to engage the kids. Concorde was the star of the show and well work a visit. The exhibits are well thought out and put together.
We are in the restaurant which was reasonably priced and generally good value.
C. H.
Fantastic museum, my young lad loved it, all staff are helpful and super friendly, great time had
S. M.
Great to see Concorde also a wealth of exhibits as far back as the turn of the century. The volunteers were very friendly and informative, café was reasonable and staff very friendly.
C. L.
Good day out 100%
R. D.
Excellent - all that Rollls Royce is famous for now started life in Bristol not Derby - they bought the company!
C. R.
It definitely could be signed up better as nearly drove past. The museum is good and lots to see including being able to board the concorde
M. L.
Excellent history of Filton and the important role it has played in aviation history through the 20th and 21st centuries. Really high quality displays and interactive material for children. The multimedia presentations projected onto the Concorde were also very impressive.
A. G.
Really informative a chance to see a part of Bristol history and a very nice cafe
B. W.
Came for Concorde but ended up spending loads of hours in the museum- excellent!
K. L.
It is amazing to see concorde in her resting place and all the connected aerospace memorabilia.
S. M.
Just absolutely heaven, seeing the final Concorde at her birth place and final resting place.
J. P.
Brilliant, COVID taken very seriously but the visit was still comfortable and interesting. Almost all of the exhibits are operational with the exception of a few of the interactive exhibits.
J. G.
Fantastic place to visit. Some great displays and lots to see and do
P. A.
Enjoyable day but recommend you take your own sandwiches as the over priced ones sold in the restaurant unfortunately have no food in them!!
S. S.
Intersting and informative place, Great staff, They were super polite and helpful. Perfect place for families and Kids
L. M. S.
Great modern museum. Very interactive and some social history of Bristol.
Will be back again.👍🏼😃
P. “. T.
Excellent museum, lots of variety, ticket good for a year, unique access to the Concorde and restoration section. Very friendly staff and good cafeteria.
A.
Absolutely astounding. It's an amazing place to go to and a great day out. Great for all ages and there is so much to see. The big finale is incredible. Make sure to take loads of photos. Also the museum part at the beginning is very informative and detailed. It also has some amazing interactive exhibits including one where you can control the flaps on the end of the wing.
S. M.
Really interesting, great play area for kids and reasonably priced. Good day out.
g.
A great place to come with the family. My two girls enjoyed the activity sheets. It has an impressive array of planes and helicopters as well as the main attraction (foxy) the concorde which is presented in a very classy environment. The most impressive thing about the museum by a long distance is the army of volunteers that work there. From the moment we walked through the doors we were greeted by warm friendly people who took the time to talk to my children and explained all the great things they had on display. This level of care happened in every room. Even during the long queue for entry into concorde, a member to staff came to the back of the queue and showed us a video relating to the aircraft. These volunteers are a credit to Aerospace Bristol. well done 👏
N. v. E.
Very complete museum, it has all sorts of stuff for aerospace and aviation enthusiasts, from satellites prototypes borrowed from the European space agency to disarmed nuclear warheads. It also has real size planes such as the Concorde which you can enter and visit. It also has plenty of interactive machines and simulators that will make you learn a lot about how flying works.
S. C.
Great experience and the concord is in great condition
A. W.
Fascinating museum - something for everyone - we took a one and two year old and they loved it. Lovely cafe and outside play area too. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful - definitely returning!
N. P.
A very good museum covering the history of Bristol aviation, Concorde is set brilliantly in its own building. A minor criticism is that we thought there was a lack of technical information at times especially concerning the Bristol aero engines.
R. D.
Great day out, lots to see and Concorde, you can go on it
W. W.
Great collection of moments from Britain's aviation history and a very well presented story of the concorde. With a one year pass to boot!
d. b.
Absoutely brilliant. Wanted to see Concorde for years. Well laid out side displays.
G. B.
Amazing. Really helpful and informative staff with quirky anecdotes
R. D.
The complete history and innovation of the Bristol Aircraft Company and Bristol Aero Engines. Fascinating. Somehow, we spent three hours here. Very helpful staff.
О. С.
Thanks very much! Amazing day, thanks for Ukrainian children , many beautiful 💖 think! Very friendly people work there!
Y. B.
Informative, fun for the kids, and adults also. Took a good few hours to wander around and read all the information, look at the exhibits and then go admire Concorde
C. F.
Had a great time at the Mike Bannister evening, very well presented, a great night
P. B.
Really excellent exhibition. Amazing what was produced in Bristol. Has to be one of the major attractions when visiting Bristol.
R. T.
Absolutely a must if you love aerospace! I spent hours here looking around. Of course the crown of the museum is Concorde. About 12 quid to enter and there is a nice cafe inside.
S. C.
A brilliant experience. Fantastic to see Concorde
N. B.
Very good place to visit and learn..
Plan your visit in such a way that you spend 2 hours at the site.
w. s.
Went here for Secondary Education Awards. Went round the Concorde exhibition which is fabulous.
P. P.
Very well layed out with multiple interactive exhibits helpful and knowledgeable volunteers
R. P.
Will be going again. Website describes it well, and if you're a Concorde fan you'll not be disappointed. Idea for them: drop the nose on it - it's an iconic feature that should be seen in real-life......
A. C.
Great museum. Tells the story of the Bristol aerospace industry from around 1900 to the present
M. L.
This a reasonably small museum but thoroughly details the history of the Bristol company and Filton.
The restoration area is open to view the work on several aircraft and the volunteers were very open to engaging with visitors.
P. A.
Had a great dinner under the wings, very well organised, marvellous venue
N. T.
Great day out with lots of exhibits and information. And it's not just aeroplanes - so much historical transport information in there too
A. D.
Initially your cannot compare anything to eating dinner under Concorde
M. N.
Amazing place. Worth going. Lots of interesting facts you did not know about Bristol. Plus they have a Concorde.. :-)
C. C.
Very good museum with lots of different exhibits and displays, especially Concord. Great use of technology. Cafe was good too with drinks, snacks and small meals.
K. G.
Great museum, very interesting guided tour. Concorde was brilliant.
C. M.
First time visiting with my 12 and 8 year old sons and they absolutely loved it. Plenty to see including Concorde. Highly recommend
C. B.
Amazing museum, tracking the British aerospace industry around Bristol and Filton. Its growth and development into the modern aerospace and defence industries in Bristol today. Attractions and interest for all ages. Great cafe (albeit expensive) and outside play area for children. And concorde too, what a beautiful machine. Great value and a great day out. Needs to be advertised a bit more!
L. M.
Great place to explore the history of aviation, particularly the Bristol contribution to it. Having the opportunity to see and get on board of a Concorde, it's absolutely amazing, understanding what it represented and the technology used for it so many decades ago it's something every parent should teach their kids.
The staff is great and well trained, able to provide accurate facts and stories about the exhibition. It is so worth the trip.
M. K.
A great display of the Aerospace history of north Bristol. Very interesting & lots to see. Concorde is the icing on the cake of course, but there's so much more to be proud of. The cafe's nice too!

Went with my Dad yesterday and had an absolutely fantastic time! The exhibitions were brilliant, food was EXTREMELY lovely, cafe staff were amazing, and Concorde was phenomenal, had a great day!
The only disappointment was that one of the staff came outside while we were sitting out eating, and VERY rudely told my dad to stop smoking, his attitude was disgraceful. My dad didn't know that it was a non-smoking area and the non-smoking signs were not clear. They placed in the wrong place, out of clear view. Also, when we were in the Concorde bit, he kept following us around. We felt that this was a bit off-putting and that our privacy wasn't respected fully.
Other than that, had a brilliant time, but just shows how of one member of your team can turn a fab day into a bad day. If this didn't happen I would've given you 5 stars.

This is the Fourth concorde that i visit. Impeccable!
j.
Excellent museum. Really well laid out and the Concorde exhibition in particular is worth any journey.
A.
Not the most well sign posted place to find even with a big airfield . Staff very pleasant and some great aviation exhibited . Great to have a chance of actually boarding the last British airways concorde and seeing inside and around this beautiful aircraft. Worth the visit but suggest you drive , the bus service whilst not bad is some distance from the muesum it's self.
R. B.
Fantastic place to visit but make sure you have plenty of time as there is lots to see.
B. E.
Vast detail and many vehicles depicting the development of aeroplanes and buses since ww1. Fascinating for enthusiasts and neutrals.
J. N.
Lovely to see the Concord Aircraft, celebrating 50 years. The museum is an excellent place for all family members.
C. W.
Local history about Patchway and Filton is also included so the museum is not only for the technically minded. Displays are spaced apart so plenty of room to browse, read and learn. The jewel is of course Concorde 216 but there is so much more.

One of the best attractions we've been to in ages. Staff (mostly volunteers) we're SO knowledgeable and welcoming. The exhibits are amazing. We went with a toddler who loved it.
The highlight (for us) was of course going on board Concorde. The graphics being displayed on the side are brilliant. Our 2 year old's highlights were probably the cafe (great food, good value) and the play area (superb) but that's not to say he didn't enjoy the rest.
H. S.
Brilliant exhibits with lots of information. Covid measures meant some of the interactive pieces were out of action but this wasn't much of an issue. Very nice cafe with good food. The Concorde hangar is done extremely well.
J. H.
Interesting place to visit lots of stuff to see and read
F. P.
Fantastic place to visit, even if you aren't into aviation. So much history to discover. I never really knew how much Bristol contributed to the aviation industry. The highlight of the visit was the Concorde hanger. Brilliant displays and getting to go on the last Concorde to fly was a real privilege. Lovely gift shop and the cafe was nice too, although a little pricey. Great that you can visit again free for a whole year.
K. R.
Fantastic experience! She's beautiful. Museum excellent and cafe really good too. Would thoroughly recommend a visit. Great value for money aswell.
S. H.
Super interactive interpretation of the history of flight in Bristol, with Concorde as its show-stopper!
C. G.
Ok, but not outstanding. My 5 yr old grandson much preferred the playground.
A. J.
The staff were lovely from arrival to end, the whole place was well looked after and the food was delicious.
Finding it was easy and plenty of parking.
V. U.
Enjoyed my visit, plenty of talks and activities to do as you go about, lovely coffee shop and thrilled to see concorde and have a look around, your ticket lasts a year so you can revisit, good value for money!!
L. C.
Fantastic day and felt very safe with the one way system in place.
D. N.
So close to us. Worth a visit. Quite expensive. Good cafe. Tickets are valid for 12 months. Don't need a radar key for disabled toilet
M. B. W.
I've been wanting to go to this museum for a while, finally that wish came true! If you're an aviation geek like myself, you would love this museum! It's got some pretty cool and rare exhibits and also the very last Concorde that ever flew!! I had to go just for that of course 😁
P. B.
Great place for day out with family. If someone is into avionics that's the place for you.
S. B.
We had a great day here ( well 4.5 hours ).... What a fabulous, well planned out, clean, informative display. Concorde was fantastic.
The staff overall were exceptionally polite and helpful and the food in the cafe was very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. I had the chicken burger in the black bun. Never had a black bun before, different and delicious..... Felt very welcomed and would happily go back. Well worth a visit. Ticket lasts for 12 months as well....

Loved this place, I am not an engineer or a pilot ..! But it is well worth a visit for all the family.. very educational and very hands on.. Concorde is a must very impressed..
A. P.
Take a walk on this iconic plane and see where flying all started. Great place to visit for kids and grown ups.
A. A.
Great 👍 place with a lot of history from the 2nd war World
J. G.
Very informative and far more to this place than Concorde. A fascinating history of Bristol's involvement in air, road and space engineering. Great for children over 7 years old. We enjoyed arriving early as we had Concorde to ourselves for 10 minutes! Well worth a visit.
G. E.
Went to a company workshop, was a great venue and great support food etc. One to use again.
D. L.
We visited today.
It was a great interesting trip.
Obviously Concorde was the highlight.
I must say this is the best looking example that we have seen.
The restaurant is very reasonably priced.
Lovely staff.
Thank you

Modern clean aerospace museum with concorde the starring feature. Lacks more big planes but hopefully this will improve over time.
K. L.
Great experience. I would definitely recommend a visit.
N. H.
Excellent museum , so much history leading to the story of concorde , moving and thoughtful display of a magnificient aircraft , mixture of displays great for young and old, good facilities , friendly crew!!
M. A.
Great exhibition planes, trains and automobiles. Buy a ticket and you can use it all year
J. W.
A great day out. Interesting exhibits friendly and knowledgeable staff, good food in the cafe, and Concorde was amazing.
Q. C.
Just a one time thing, should've been cheaper though. The whole walk took us less than 1hr. It's not really worth it if you're drivig all the way from London..
T. B.
Really nice place to visit. Good amount of history and loads of technology.. including interactive displays for the kids.
R. B.
A great place to visit if you are even remotely interested in Concorde and the history of aircraft. I found it both surprising and interesting all the different aircraft ,cars and boats made in Bristol with incredible examples inside.
L. J.
Great place filled with knowledgeable people, not at all crowed and the cafe served a great lunch
C. M.
Brilliant day out. Very well presented displays with lots of information. Very friendly staff and very informative. Concorde is amazing even standing still it looks supersonic! Brilliant condition inside very well kept and original. You won't regret a day out here.
B. R.
Great wet weather activity. Lots to see and take in, and Concorde is amazing! Not much to interact with for smaller children due to Covid but good for a couple of hours. Plus, your ticket is valid for a year so planning to go back with just my partner so we can actually read everything!
J. S.
Fabulous experience.
P. P.
Great place to see some of the history of boca and airbus aerospace history, would have liked to have seen more planes like the spitfire, hurricane models.
K. S.
Great place for a rainy day. Only need a morning or afternoon to see everything. Lots of planes and other vehicles to see and the highlight is getting to walk through the concorde (although you do have to queue a while for this now). Little play area for kids outside, and the cafe is nice for coffee and cake.
I. S.
Great afternoon out, staff all very friendly, nice cafe for lunch ! Queued a little while for Concorde but it’s worth the wait ( 2nd visit - will be back again ! )
T. N.
A great place to visit. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers and staff make your visit enjoyable and interesting. Excellent food in the cafe, all disabled friendly and Covid safe. Then visit the last Concorde to fly. As said in Bristol "Gert Lush!".
J.
Took the Grandchildren, lots to do and see for them. It was great going on Concord too and lots of information given from the staff there. Good Cafe and Shop too!
R. I.
Fantastic to see Concorde. The exhibition is definitely worth visiting. A good number of exhibitions on display.
G. J.
Love it here, kids really enjoyed it, great quality food in the cafe
A. M.
Loved it. Friendly helpful staff and wonderful exhibits.
C. H.
Amazing displays to see, they have a massive range of planes and helicopters. The Concorde is amazing to see! Nice cafe and little play area for the kids. Highly recommend! Tickets are valid for a year also
A. G.
Really interesting place, lots of exhibits, and of course, Concorde
T. A.
The place to see the last Concord to grace our skies. Great venue to hire for a party.
r. l.
Wonderful museum showcasing the exhibits to their full advantage. Easy to walk around. The Concorde part is second to non. The staff are very knowledgeable and more than willing to explain what ever you need to know. The cafe very reasonable with good quality food and drink. Parking no problem. Be aware the sat nav. leads you to a nearby garage and the roadside brown directional signs are very poor. Overall highly recommended.
C. A.
Perfect choice for my father in law's 89th birthday. He loved every minute of it!
V. D. K.
Chose this museum for a day out with my son when his friends. The boys were thrilled to see Concorde and was amazed by the details. Kudos to the crew, who answered all their questions. The main part of the museum also provided good interactive exhibits and fact sheets easy for kids to understand. It was a brilliant day! Looking forward to going back soon.
S. C.
I really enjoyed our visit and walking inside concord was definitely worth the trip. Good coffee and reasonably priced food. Just need a little bit of help with their allergy and dietary advice.
E. M.
Fantastic family day out. Beautiful building which has been lovingly restored. Very much still a museum in its infancy, it's clear there are plans for it to grow in the future. Our visit was about 2 1/2 hours long. Concorde is very impressive, the downfall comes with the queue to board the plane. This might be a rather long wait at peak times. Impressive baby facilities. Cafe was very lovely with impressive selection of vegetarian and vegan food. Cafe was a little pricey but the food was good quality. Entry tickets seem expensive still, but might be worth more once the interactive exhibits are fully running in 2018. Tickets however, are valid for a year for return entry from day of purchase.
G.
Great aircraft to see with wide section and lots of information about the planes and history of Bristol aviation.
The café did nice food.
Staff really friendly and were happy to answer any questions you gave them
Was amazing to see concord such a beautiful airplane!
P. L.
Beautifully presented Concorde included in entry ticket, bit better than brooklands Concorde which is stored outside and you pay extra to go inside.
G. C.
Worth a visit. Volunteers and staff there were really helpful. Lots of interactive bits to explain the concepts. Pretty cool to see the history of aviation technology in Bristol.
R. H.
Bery nice exhibition, i really was impressed by the size of the concorde. I think there could be more planes in an aerospace musem though. I heard there will be in some version of the near future. Lets hope it will.
J. E.
Fab going again on the ticket. Tots too small to get much out of the museum but loved Concorde and the playground. Staff all amazing; everyone so friendly and cheerful. Felt like it must be a pretty nice place to work!
S. S.
Brilliant venue for the Concorde 50th Anniversary dinner (2019)
S. B.
An amazing experience up close to Concorde both inside and out. It's simply amazing. I so wish I had the chance to fly in it. The rest of the exhibits are also very interesting and definitely worth a visit.
And it's so easy to get too not far from jct 17 off the M5
T. M.
Lovely place to spend a couple of hours on a rainy day. The tickets are reasonable considering you have unlimited access for the full year. We've been going since it opened and both kids (6 and 2) absolutely love it!
r. D.
Lots of interesting exhibits well documented and of great historical interest. Very spacious display areas. Gift shop and cafe serving good quality snacks and coked meals. Also a large hanger with Concorde, which was our main reason for visiting. We're able to step aboard concorde. Stunning!
O. O.
Definitely worth a visit! A shame all the exhibits aren't viewable yet but to be up close and personal to the ole lady was well worth it.
B. R.
Fantastic day, really interesting and very educational. A wonderful place to take the children where they will learn about the histories of flying, early road transport and to go aboard the most beautiful passenger aircraft ever built, Concorde!
It looks like it has had a makeover throughout the museum and the experience is all the better for it. I was with a group of about 30 and everyone enjoyed their visit. I have mobility problems but there were plenty of seats dotted about which made things a lot easier.
There is a cafe for tea, coffee, soft drinks and some basic food available.
I recommend a visit highly.
J. K.
Excellent experience. The displays are well laid out, all with detailed information boards. The history of flight is told, from its early inception to space travel. Bristol‘s involvement in aircraft and motor vehicle production is highlighted in great detail. There are some interactive displays which help to hold your interest. Finally, I can now honestly say that I have been on board the last Concorde to fly.

After paying £16.50 for entry you are given a boarding pass ticket for entry into the exhibit area which can be re-used for free re-entry for the next 12 months. After spending about 1 hr in this area which ill be honest was better than i thought as there was a lot of hands on things that you don’t get at other museums like controlling the flaps on a full size original airplane wing and climbing on-board an old airplane just to name a few. Perfect for kids and adults alike. Once your done with the main area you enter the cafe area which looks really nice and just outside is a nice sized park/play area for the kids. The final part is what we all payed for and that’s Concorde. It is kept in a brand new separate hanger upon entering you are greeted by another member of staff to have you boarding pass re-scanned and the smell of plane fumes which added to the experience. Concorde is the first thing you see and its huge, after walking underneath the plane you take a lift or stairs to the 1st floor where there is a room full of Concorde memorabilia and full size cockpit plus other bits and bobs after that its time to climb on-board Concorde. Once your done you can go back around all over again. I thought £16.50 was expensive to get in but climbing on-board Concorde is a once in a lifetime opportunity and seeing everything else you have to offer i think its a fair price. Only negative is having to re-show your boarding pass again in the Concorde hanger some parents/children/groups had split up meaning the tickets was all with one person meaning no entry. This is not mentioned and can be a bit annoying going back to find your partner ect..... keep up the good work your staff are amazing

This was a last minute decision to visit Concorde and not having a chance to check directions we found the signage very hit and miss. At some road junctions there are no signs. When we arrived we found a very interesting museum. The guides are very knowledgeable. You are given a sheet to guide you around the museum but this can be difficult to follow, perhaps the arrows could be on the floor. I am sure we missed some exhibits. Cafe very good with plenty on offer, including gluten free. Tickets are return free for a year, so we shall be back. Well worth a visit.
