Reviews of Floating Harbour

Bristol Harbour Festival July 2022, what an amazing time, enjoy the photos and if you get chance to go next year then you really should

Visited this area the same time as I went to see SS Great Britain. There was a fantastic choice of eateries, but not many shops along the side where the M Shed is. Maybe more on other side but didn't have enough time. There were crane visits and boat trips, but I felt they were a bit dear. However plenty of people were enjoying them. I imagine the whole area would be a good place to go in the evening.

Good place to walk around the water side .. lots of places to eat and lots of bars nearby. Best place to park nearby is the Melinium Car Park..
Bit costly but in the city so thats ok..
Boat ride avaialble but need to pre book in advance

A nice place, with a good view.

We walked around here for a couple of hours yesterday. The area was litter free although there is sadly a lot of graffiti.
A few takeaway coffee places open, lots to see and enjoy - architecture, engineering and views. Plenty of parking nearby too.

I love the floating harbour.....such a busy place, full of energy and interest. Lovely to see it so full of boats. Lots of places to eat, drink or just people watch. The newly developed Gaol Steps area is excellent, take a walk around the new units in the old shipping containers....what an innovative use for them.

Bristol’s floating harbour is a great place to spend lazy Sunday mornings walk around the beautiful sites and taking in the atmosphere. Even walking from St George, through Old Market and passed the Left Handed Giant it really makes you appreciate how great Bristol is. You see more and appreciate what a beautiful city Bristol is when not driving and rushing around. Now that more places are open for breakfast and coffee in and around the floating harbour/harbourside, you can easily loose yourself people watching as the buzz of the day increases. I think it’s great to slow down time to time and just take things at a more leisurely pace.

Love this place. Many activities and pubs nearby, some cheap, most quite expensive, but that's no surprise! The history of its creation is fascinating

We enjoyed a lovely day exploring the floating harbour including a trip on a bristol ferry, which gives you a totally different prospective of the harbour. So many site to see and places to eat, making it a difficult choice. The harbour is lined with restaurants and bars which is transformed on an evening with pretty lights and welcoming music. It's a great place to spend so time there, to be honest you need more than one day to explore everything there.
