Reviews of Hengrove Park
Fairly good day out at this park. Had a cafe and toilets. Some of the equipment was in need of repair and the big dome area was closed due to age and structural issues. Which was a shame.
Good park to spend the day with family and young children. Near to bus stop and Hengrove Leisure center.
Ok if you have older kids who use skateboards or scooters etc but in terms of the park it is very limited for older kids ( 10-11 plus ) as there isn't much for them other than the climbing dome which was closed. My daughter enjoys going to the park (12) and I like to take her as well as her brother (14) and oldest brother (16) because they are actually kids again for a few hours instead of being the stroppy social media insecure mini adults this generation is becoming. The 16 year old had the skate park to entertain him doing his scooter stunts but the other 2 were bored ( attached pictures include the one thing the younger two did find to occupy them for a while.
We took the kids here to play after seeing a movie in Cineworld which is within the same vicinity.
The kids had so much fun here and didn't want to leave.
Seems to have fallen into disrepair over the last few years. The main dome has been closed for months, water features don't work, some other equipment has been removed too. It's a shame as this park was one of the best in Bristol!
Dome has been closed for a matter of months. The water features are also no longer in use which is disappointing, especially on a hot day.
The park has sadly gone down hill. I guess the cafe was a nice bonus to grab an ice lolly!
We love this playground, there's so much to so. Shame that this time the Dome was closed but it's being checked for safety. Also the water play wasn't working - I am not sure why and when it will be back on. Still plenty to do for the kids!
Large, free, kids playground, safe, plenty to keep young ones happyfor a few hours at least, plenty of seating for parents or guardians, ample free parking nearby in retail park, take aways close by, onsite toilets and refreshments, huge Saturday carboot next door during summer months, skate and bike park. My kids love it here that much we travel often from newport in Wales for the day
Absolutely love this place, safe for kids of all ages somewhere local, plenty of parking and it doesn't cost an arm and leg to go there, plus you and take your own food and drink. AMAIZING. Just hope BCC don't close the place as planned, soon there will be no green areas like this.
