Reviews of Kings Weston House
A. T.
An ideal location with easy access links to the motorway. The grounds surrounding this house are pleasant to walk around and dog walking is highly encouraged.
There are two car parks nearby, the closest to the grounds is reserved for events at the house, however there is a free car park near Shirehampton that is easy to get to.
The house is currently closed to the public but the cafe is open and offers food for you and for dogs too.

Wonderful winter walk, optional short loop or a longer route depending how much you wish to stretch your legs in the winter weather. Beautiful vistas of the surrounding countryside and the house up the wooded avenue up to the grotto. Also great food from the cafe including pies, sausage rolls and of course cake!
J. M.
Lovely well kept grounds, lovely walks through the woods.
Great for all the family and pets.
Coffee shop at side of house.
Has free car park.
Lovely views

Great for walking dog's, as there are no road's to worry about. Nice place to have a wedding.
It's free entry and has a substantial car park.
A. T.
First ever visit. Medium sized car park and free. Entrance bit tight and track uneven. Lovely big house. Small cafe, shut today. Large areas of open green spaces. Overlooks Avonmouth and the Severn Bridge. Few places to sit. Smal formal gardens, obviously not much growing this time of year. Loads of dogs!
C.
Fantastic place to walk your dog 🐾
Theres benches along the way if you need to rest too 😀
I'm there two or three times a week and everyone (people and dogs) we've met has been lovely 🥰
C. W.
Great place to walk and visit. Cafe open Wednesday to Sunday at rear of house 10.00am to 4.00pm. Very historic building be and parkland. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore.
G. S.
Beautiful estate with free parking unlike the close-by Blaise
R. J.
A really beautiful, grand and impressive house with lovely grounds and friendly, helpful staff. We spent the day filming and had a number of beautiful rooms to choose from. We managed to have some lovely outdoor shots too.
I. J.
Really nice country park to walk around. Free entry and dog friendly. Lovely cafe with great views over the Bristol channel.
t. r.
Visited as I had to drop off something. The area outside looked spacious the rooms the event took place in looked reasonable roughly 100 people can be a accommodated. Out skates so wont be much issues of noise after hours. No images unfortunately, to show the beauty of the place.
L. T.
Absolutely love this place its great for a nice quiet walk and to clear your head also has some amazing views on a nice clear day
K. H.
Fascinating old country house with high ceilings, unusual artefacts and beautiful views over north bristol , avonmouth and to the Severn.
We visited for a school christmas meal which was delicous , excellent service and we had the run of the place.
Highly recommended if you get the opportunity. Look out for the funny deer statues on the walls.
D. s.

L. B.
Gorgeous place for a dog walk, super cafe, free parking
M. Ó. D.
Gorgeous estate, wonderful café with a selection of cooked foods, hot and cold drinks and cakes, great space for dog walking and family get togethers. Toilets on site with use of the café. Parking at the rear of the house or further away in the car park towards the Shirehamptom entrance. Wonderful space for weddings and events.
R. C.
On a warm clear day it is bliss to sit on the terrace enjoying some food and looking out across the Severn to Wales.
Can take a long time to get served however the staff are friendly, the food and drink is excellent quality and the prices are fair.
D. L.
Nice place for a walk around the woods and grounds. Has a smallish car park despite the council website telling you there isn't. Nice views.
K. B.
Nice walk around the grounds and good views across to Avonmouth but that's about it. Small café there and a big house, that you're not allowed in.
M. P.
Kings Weston House and the team are amazing, they made our wedding day so special with their attentive attitude to our needs and style of ceremony! The house was built in 1719 and its remains to hold the character and charm of a loved home alongside the contemporary adds. We had many international visitors to our day and they couldn't have loved the setting more. We are so grateful we held our day with you and will cherish your support for many years to come! Thank you, Thank you! If anyone is considering booking, do it!
S. M.
It's very quiet and lovely place to spend the weekend with your family and friends. Perfect for picnic, playing with dogs and kids. I highly recommend this place!
C. M.
An under utilised area over shadowed by Blaise estate just down the road. Great dog friendly cafe. Ample parking and acres of space to walk, picnic or mooch with your pooch. Also stunning views across the river Severn to Wales on a clear day. Ok, Blaise estate is bigger, with a play area, but, especially during good weather.... Crowded, noisy and difficult to park.
S. p. j.
Amazing place. Lovingly restored, great space for a day out or an event. The halls and space are amazing. Would make a great venue for wedding or private parties.
K. P.
Lovely setting. Perfect place for a meet up with family and a walk in the woods.
K. D.
Lovely trail run round the estate, very pretty and dig friendly
G. H.
lovely place, great for long walks, bike rides or sitting with a picnic or enjoying food & drink from the cafe. nice view also
M. H.
This is a beautiful location, I went for a wedding and it does not disappoint, it’s a big stately home near westbury-on-trym, Bristol, set on beautiful grounds.
There is ample parking. the wedding was all catered for with the ceremony and meal on the ground floor and then a nightclub in the cellar.
M. P.
This Baroque mansion sits like a jewel in the middle of a large expanse of tree lined parklands. Originally designed by Sir John Vanbrugh, the house was first built between 1712-1719 and then re-modeled twice more over the years, to its final incarnation between 1845-1850.
There is a lovely little cafe /restaurant on the side of the house, with its flag stone floor, vaulted ceiling and fireplace plus old style looking tables and chairs, all in keeping with the period . Serving a nice selection of sandwiches and cakes plus cooked meals, apparently the Sunday lunches here are quite something. We had a tea and coffee, and as it was a sunny day we had it outside in an area adorned with wrought iron tables and chairs, looking over towards the Severn Estuary in the distance .
Plenty of free car parking here, and the parkland and woods are ideal for dog walkers. I'm not going to tell you where they are, but there are a good number of follys around the park, all partly hidden and all easy to find and interesting.
If you walk around to the front of the house, you'll see the lovely facade, adorned by wide steps to the front door, this place is regularly chosen as a place to be married, with wedding photos being taken on the steps and in front of the house. We found the staff to be cheerful and helpful. we spent a couple of hours with our dog just meandering around, a pleasant experience and would recommend. ps if you find this review helpful, please give it a 👍

P.
Love it here x lovely place to walk your dogs x
N. B.
My stepdaughter goes there very often lately for junior parkrun and that's very good for children between 4 and 14 to go for a run in the morning on Sunday with others. I only knew this place as wedding venue or dog walking and now it's good for running too!
M. D.
I had a pleasure to photograph various weddings here and I love it. The rooms are airy and lovely decorated and if you wish you can use all of them for different parts of wedding. In few words Kings Weston House is stunning wedding venue with amazing service.
B. M.

K. M.
Love the grounds around the house. Lovely for walking the dogs and to enjoy on a sunny day for a picnic. Views of avonmouth can be seen. Love!! Also been inside the house for a few functions. In need of some upkeep but as expected for a historic house. It would be so lovely to see it restored fully.
G. N.
Only visited the grounds and cafe. Both great for afternoon out.
P. W.
Incredible venue with stunning grounds and incredible views.

Lovely hidden gem with a nice walk or Segway through the woods if that's your sort of thing and a nice cafe with some good food being served. Perfect for weddings if that's your sort of thing 😜
T. C.
A lovely place to walk or picnic. It has small gardens but large wood surrounded fields and a cafe with outside views towards the channel.
P. B.
Nice green space for city folk. Good for children runaround. Some free parking. Small shop for refreshments with sitting place and nice view towards the estuary.
e. l.
Was wonderful walking around with dog lot's of other people around with their dogs 🐕 most friendly with polite conversation as you walk around, but a strange family who picked up their dog so it wasn't allowed to siff and befriend other dogs and simed upset when mine went to say hello.
M. D.
Really nice walking around the grounds
B. M.
Great public space, fantastic walks and a great coffee shop. Food is excellent and have a great selection of gluten free and vegan cakes. Coffee is great too with diary free alternatives on the milk front. Often visit here with my family and it is a great space to explore and enjoy.
T. L.
It a beautiful place with interesting trees
C. d. C.
Great place to walk the dog and have a coffee.
S. D.
Lovely building and interesting grounds, which do look a bit uncared-for. Sweet arbour used for weddings (and co-opted by families for 'safe' gatherings now). Nice café, excellent cakes. 😋
R. D.
We had my sisters wake here yesterday,
Beautiful place and the food was really good,
Highly recommended.
J. s. (. S. P.
Stunning building and fantastic staff, as a photographer I always look forward to weddings here.
J. D.
Lovely place to visit. Plenty of open space, woods to explore and some nice bits of history to see too! The house is beautiful if you ever have a chance to go in, also the cafe is lovely when open.
K. L.
Attended a play in this beautiful historic house a few years ago, and spotted there was a cafe round the back with views across to the Severn bridges. Especially recommend the cafe's outdoor tables and they now have gluten-free cakes too! Very popular with dog-walkers.
N. W.
Nice place to go for a walk
A. W. C.
3 of our Mercedes wedding cars at the lovely Kings Weston house, this close to the port way. The staff at the venue are very friendly and always helpful.

Personally is a very chill place .
T. A.
A lovely setting and very popular with dog walkers.
serving breakfast light bites and scrumptious cakes. definitely worth a visit.
Sunday lunch is yet to be sampled but I have heard good reviews.
G. H.
A nice coffee shop/cafe underneath the main building. Have coffee in a place mentioned in Jane Austens Northanger Abbey.
H. B.
I have eaten here a few times now and I love it. The grounds and house itself is beautiful, with lovely woodland to explore nearby. The menu is now extensive, serving great breakfast options before midday and plenty of sandwiches, flat breads, burgers etc for lunch. The coffees on offer is great too, and the home made cakes are always very tempting. I've been a few times as it's close to home and I can definitely see this becoming a regular thing!
C. G.
The views are amazing. Lovely cafe and very nice coffee. They do meals too. Well kept up grounds.. Lovely for walk or just relaxing. Will recommend .
J. E.
Just a lovely place to walk as a family. Plenty of space to walk the dog too. The food is fantastic and a really good price. There's a cosy room to eat in with nice big tables for families. The Sunday roast is amazing. My grandson is partial to their fish finger sandwiches. Worth the visit!
M. R.
Great setting. Lovely to walk in the woods and hear the chorus of birds singing away. you can finish of with a great coffee and scrummy treat in the cafe with an epic view over to Wales.
E. A.
Lovely inside and really nice to take a walk around the estate
B. Q.
An historic building with plenty of character in a great location.
Available for hire at reasonable rates. We were there for my Mother's Wake for which they catered very well indeed. They also have a cafe which is open to the general public and they do wickedly good cakes!
Recommended.
j.
Beautiful veiws of the severn, fantastic walks in the woods and endless fun for 8 year olds to adventure! Fly tipping can blight some of the area but not the fault of Kings Weston House!
J. A. H. 9.
Very nice place, eg for a picnic or for exercising. Has a cafe, but not tried it yet. The only toilets are in the cafe (?) OK while it's open. Good parking, but limited. Look at the website.
O.
One of the best dog walks in Bristol
K. T.
A beautiful view looking across Bristol and night view of the house.
J. M.
Cafe has improved. The cafe is in two rooms now & plenty of space. Good location. Easy parking. A group of about 10 of us had delicious hot drinks mid January. Relaxed & cosy atmosphere.
J. T.
Nice place as an alternative from the Blaise estate
K. B.
I've always loved kings Weston house as a lively location to walk our dog. It has everything we need We also had a wake here this week. The location was great - beautiful, quiet, good parking. Bit was great to have a choice of rooms and menus. The staff and the prepared buffet were both excellent. Thanks to all who helped us celebrate our family members' life and reconnect with relatives.
S. P.
Good home cooked food. lovely surroundings. friendly and efficient staff. Good to have an asset like this on the door step. keep up the good work
S. T.
Beautiful grounds, good cafe, views over Avonmouth to Wales including both Bridge crossings. Lovely house but only open to public for events.
P. L.
Lots of walks, Cafe at the house. Nice views. Always a shame about the rubbish in the area off Shirehampton Rd. Car park is handy if you need it, either at the house, or off Shirehampton Rd. Toilets at Cafe are now open!
I. E.
Incredible building but a bit cold!
H. F.
Serene atmosphere... Lush green surrounding
E.
Beautiful walk for dogs and great for children. They have recently spent lots of money making the gardens and house 100 times better. I come here every day. Coffee and food fab.
D. P.
Grew up as a child around this place and continue to visit to enjoy great walks, nature and scenery.
Great for dog walkers too.
Cafe has nice and friendly service and food is great
j. u.
Great place for a walk and a light lunch. Or just a coffee over looking the views to the river. Ok, so u have the Avonmouth docks and industrial site but u can see a lot more besides. And a good day u can sit out side with a coffee and see Wales. The area is huge. A large grassed area which u can picnic in or play ball games. U can walk dogs or just take the kids to wear them out running in and out of the trees, or even up! There is parking but it's not a large car park. We went bird watching and there are a few species around. Song thrush, Nuthatch, Blackbirds, Robins, Jays, Magpie and a Great spotted woodpecker we saw or heard. But the trees are in full leaf so difficult to see.
M. M.
Wonderful dog walk and play area and a dog friendly cafe serving home cookednfood too.
Resteraunt food is excellent in a relaxed environment and also very reasonably priced.
House has been well restored over the past few years and hosts weddings, special events, parties and a great afternoon tea!
C.
Lovely place and woodland is great for dog walks and mountain biking. Be sure to lock your car though not the nicest area crime but certainly not the worst.
L. M.
Nice place to chill but found lots of junk in bushes
AWESOME VIEWS
A. B.
Recommend the cafe. Lovely food. Friendly staff. Cakes 😋
N. D.
I love this place, this is me and my partners area and space to go for walks and coffee, me and my friends place also and for the dogs.

Lovely walk with some great views
R. T. R.
First time ever visit to this place. Went for breakfast because we were staying nearby.
Coffee was very very good. As good as we had it in a while. Hats off.
Breakkie too was very good. Had it outside. Was served with a smile. After we went for short walk around. Beautiful place with walled garden and forest around. Also very nice inside. Definitely back for more.
M. R.
I walk my dogs here. There is lovely woodland and great views over the severn estuary. They have just relaid the gardens leading up from the house making it a lovely setting for a wedding. They have also redesigned the woodland parking doubling the number of spaces giving plenty of parking for weddings and other functions.
K. R. D.
Really nice place for a walk, nice views.
I enjoyed a cappuccino take away, and also there were some tables outside.
T. C.
The house has beautiful grounds. It's a lovely venue for weddings. There is also tea shop on site which does a great cakes and sandwiches.
s. G.
Beautiful old house being brought back to it's former glory , gardens being totally transformed would be stunning for a wedding venue with it's secret garden. Lovely walks with stunning views over the Severn. Lovely food and good service and it's on my doorstep.
J. B.
A lovely place to take the kids or go for a walk with the dog. Parkland area and wooded areas to wander around. There is a tea room available if needed.
G. B.
Went for a wedding. At first the space seemed impressive however the room layout is very strange and led to the entire wedding party being split across 4 different rooms. Leaving it feeling rather disjointed.
The food was ok, but was dismayed that trays of chips were put out with no serving equipment at all! Could do with more lighting in the car parking areas as well.
R. C.
Took a walk around the grounds but the venue itself seemed to be closed so I didn't have the opportunity to see inside the house. Nice place for a walk. Lots of people walking dogs around here but no mess left behind. There is a small folly close to the main building which has seen better days which in my opinion gives it character.
C. B.
This is perfect for a couple of hours with pre-school aged children - there's a water feature for jumping over & playing with, monument with quirky faces on top, a meadow for playing chase/ball games, a nice short circular walk in the woods + long extension if desired, views of the avonmouth cranes and estuary and recently a digger and dumper truck next to the house. My wife tells me that the café (once allowed to reopen) is also very good and reasonably priced
J. S.
Over looks Bristol lots of seats plus it has a cafe but no loos the grounds are lovely no problems parking it's a secret garden enjoy 🌈🌳🌷🥀😁
D. B.
A delight to walk to and a very good cafe
A. G.
Nice atmosphere, well prepared food and ideal for coffee
H. G. B.
Excellent house and grounds, a lovely cafe, the staff very friendly, I had a Ham Ploughmans, all fresh, and quality ham, the plate was loaded, very good quality and price. I would definately go again, they do have a terrace to eat out, but ovbiously need good weather, it is dog friendly, very clean and tidy.
a. b.
This place is well worth a visit it is historical and is a very important part of Bristol
D. C.
First time visitor to Kings Weston House. Impressed by the grounds and the house. The cafe is nice and the food good. Just one thing, dogs in the cafe where we were eating. I’m sure the owners love their pets. But the smell of damp dog in the cafe not cup of tea ( sorry about the pun).
M. F.
Gorgeous gardens, lovely dog walking area with an outside seating area and cafe that includes views over towards the severn bridge and estuary.
T. M.
New reshaped garden, new Coffee Shop management dogs friendly with dog's ice cream :-)
A. G.
There are a couple of places to park. You can walk through the woods or across the houses field where you get a fantastic view of avonmouth and Wales. When walking though the woods you can see some of the old ruins. There is a cafe on site where you can sit for a drink.
R. H.
New owners doing a massive renovation. Lovely grounds with a panoramic view.
V. Z.
Beautiful grounds to have a wander around with a lovely coffee shop. Perfect for a Sunday stroll.
P. B.
Good coffee good service lovely surroundings, what more could you want.
g. h.
Very popular with dog walkers. Plenty of walks all around the grounds. Free parking , has a bistro cafe, to just relax. Don't know about disabled parking.
M. C.
Very nice for a walk, pleasant café and far reaching views
Well worth a visit
S. M. D.
Kings Weston house.is in a very nice woodland area. But the cafe is a bit of a let down. Due to the staff been late to deliver food and clearing tables. I do understand that they were busy but there are other cafe only have two members of staff and they manage to keep up with the things I have mentioned above. In cafe at kings Weston house there were at lease 4 staff that could of helped clear the tables. People were coming in to the cafe and ordering food but the tables were full with plates which people could not sit down
A. W.
Love everything about the place after our 1st visit here today. A hidden gem in between the busy urban streets of Sea Mills & Lawrence Weston! Lovely tranquillity & ambience. Friendly, helpful staff in the cafe too!
K. V.
Lovely green park with loads of room, dog friendly with a little cafe by the entrance. Suitable for booking events or just for a Sunday walk with your family.
S. D.
Was OK, too many noisy dogs. Battled to hold a decent conversation.
Cake was good.
J. F.
Fantastic views, lovely walk healthy and colourful Woods. The awe inspiring house.
Just a few of the many things that Kingsweston House and the surrounding Estate mean to me.
I truly love this place and regularly visit to unwind
R. T.
Great place for walking the dogs or indeed walking the kids, the house is surrounded by trees with a wide path all the way around the main expanse of grass. Play football, fly a kite or just watch nature in and around the trees.
M. B.
Great walking loop..Also the cafe which is closed only on a Monday makes a very good flat white and their sarnies are also rather tasty too.
R. W.
I've known Kingsweston House for years and it is really touching to see it looking so lovely and the gardens beautifully tended. I led a painting group in the grounds,: there were dog walkers, joggers, people of every age, (if you can toddle or be wheeled it's perfect for you too), school groups and foreign tourists enjoying the grounds and tea shop. Its an asset to Bristol and the present owner.

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at KWH over the last weekend of March, and we couldn't have been happier! I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a wedding in which they can add their own personal touches, and want flexibility and excellent value for money! As we are quite crafty (and thrifty) we wanted to do a lot of things ourselves, such as our own decorations and a dessert table, and every request we asked was fulfilled with minimal fuss or fear or an 'extra cost'. Whilst other venues seemed to add on a charge for anything other than what was on their roster, KWH were enthusiastic and willing to make our vision a reality! Both Sara and Norman were present, without being 'too present', and were professional and friendly. In the weeks leading up to the big day, we felt that they had everything under control, and I happily let Sara take the reins so I could relax and enjoy myself on the day! Front of house staff were professional and attentive, food was amazing (the leek and feta macaroni from the Hot Fork buffet was so so so good!), and kitchen were very helpful when it came to preparing the desserts and cheese cake we bought with us. All in all, perfect venue, perfect staff, perfect day. Would do it all again in an instant and wouldn't change a thing!
C. S.
We had afternoon tea for Mother's Day, including a tour of the house. The whole experience was superb and we took away boxes of sandwiches, sausage rolls and cakes because we couldn't eat everything!
J. B.
A thin menu except for cakes and breakfasts but nice friendly service in cosy surroundings. We came by bicycle. There is a loo at the cafe though that's not obvious. You go through a doorway adjacent to the counter and walk through a couple of corridors.
C. H.
Coming on lovely being refurbished and garden look great.
Lovely to see old buildings bought back to there former
Glory
N. S.
Nice local place for doggo's to socialise. Too many humans mincing about for my liking but that's basically the same anywhere in-and-around Bristol.
A. D.
Lovely parc and the Morgan cafe is great! Brilliant on a cold day to warm you up with a cuppa.
R. M.
The house is not open to the public .However it has a very good cafe open Tuesday to Sunday and is set in extensive grounds.
.
D. P.
Amazing building and peace of history grounds are very clean nice for walking dog walking also seating and cafe
D. J.
Amazing woodland mansion with an amazing café with outside dining and stunning views. Large grounds with fields and woodland trails.
M. T.
Fantastic Venue, we will be getting married here, the owner and staff are all very accommodating and lovely. Their food is incredible for both Sunday lunches and cafe fare. Fantastic building with great walks
V. C.
Wonderful stately house and grounds. A hidden gem. Good cafe. Fantastic views. Well loved by dog walkers. Special events through the year including music and outdoor cinema.
L. A.
It is very good for weddings and Christmas parties
R. Q.
Such a peaceful place, and excellent hot chocolate and cake.
Plus free parking. I love kings weston.
A. W.
Beautiful place mainly for dog walkers but saw few people having lunch on the grassy bit as well.
If you get thirsty or hungry you can go to the the 5 star cafe shop inside the Weston house reasonable cheap as well.
P. H.
Lovely place for a walk. Restaurant is very highly recommended for tea or coffee break. Full English breakfast was great.
S. C.
I have just hosted a 60th birthday party at Kings Weston House. The venue, food and service were excellent. The house looked stunning, the staff were so helpful in planning the evening and during the evening. The team listened to what I wanted and hence created a very successful event. The food was fabulous - a wonderful cold buffet. I can not fault the team.
P. H.
Visited the Hunting Vaults Cafe for the first time in several years and, although first impressions weren't good due to poor service, the management were quick to react to my complaint and offer some recompense. I appreciate it when people make the effort to put things right, so I'm looking forward to posting a better review when I eventually return.

On 8th September 2019 ourselves and guests including children very much enjoyed an afternoon tea for our 50th Wedding Anniversary at Kingsweston House, a beautiful venue and our experience from the time of booking to the end of the day was first class, prompt replies to any requests. The afternoon tea was impressive and catered for all dietary needs as well as making sure the children had their own suitable afternoon tea. We would like to thank the chefs and all the lovely staff for making the day so special and memorable, our guests thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Kingsweston House is a special place and we are so glad we chose the House for the occasion. Thank you, Helena and Dave
S. T.
Ththe manor house has been renovated and looks beautiful. The gardens are also very pretty and the café and restaurant serves really good home made food in a beautiful setting.
S. H.
This is beautiful place to meet up with friends for a walk through the woods. You can also have a drink and bite to eat at the cafe.
S. B.
Interesting place to visit. House very impressive from outside. Grounds good for a short stroll. Reasonable cafe with nice views over Avonmouth and docks.
T. R.
What a great place to visit and enjoy the architecture, park and views. The new owner of the house, Norman Routledge, has transformed a decaying building into a beautiful and lively environment again. Also Kings Weston Action Group have done a great job of the park etc. I attended a party in the house recently. Brilliant venue for weddings, parties or other functions.

We were lucky enough to be booked for a wedding at KWH on 22/4/17 Kings Weston House is an amazing venue ran by enthusiastic and helpful staff. As a band there were no noise limiters which is great for us and the guests. The bar is huge and painted dark blue which feels really unique and has a cool vibe. KWH is different from other venues. It is not rigid, it has a sense of character that more generic venues don't. KWH is perfectly situated just outside of Bristol. If you want somewhere slightly different try Kings Weston House!
V. P.
Kings Weston House is really such a wonderful and iconic place. I am really proud to live near it and to see so many great improvements done to this historic building.
If you go there for a walk, visit the house or enjoy some great refreshments from the old, vaulted Tea Room, you simply step back into history...
I'm an artist, writer and musician, and love 'The Lark Ascending' which was composed at KWH in 1920...
Jane Austin loved the place, so when she wrote her novels she must have often had the mysterious surroundings and the great structure of it in her mind.
- We don't have many places like KWH in the whole of the UK, I a really proud of the place and happy that it is cared for by Norm and the KWAG, to bring out the best of all the great potentials.
I would highly recommend it for a visit, a walk, a treat of having great food and coffee, and to hire it for a special function off cause!
E. V.
Beautiful wedding venue and grounds. The bar prices weren't too pricey either. Apparently there was a bit of disorganisation on the morning of my friends wedding but no biggies!
C. K.
My favorite place for a dog walk and kids favorite for junior park run in Bristol. Beautiful grounds, rustic woods, nice cafe, great views!!
T. W.
Love the gardens and woodland around kingsweston House. A lot of work has gone into the management of this estate in the past few years but has been done with restraint so that the natural woodland feel still remains.
A. E.
I completed my Youth Mental Health First Aid training here and I was genuinely captivated by the beauty in and around Kings Weston House. Staff provided us with really yummy healthy lunches too which was a huge bonus!
M. B.
Alovely leisurely place to go for long walks. Very suitable for picnicking and a game of rounders as theThey have a great dog walking community.
K. S.
A great coffee stop in Kingsweton with plenty of indoor and outdoor space alike. Lovely cakes and of course coffee and a must to stop if you are riding any where near.
R. C.
My favouritest place for walks and views around Bristol. Everything about it is perfect - including the cafe and the slow (and so far not too National Trusty) renovations. Every time I go I have a new experience...always linked to people who lived or worked here. That started with one dog walker telling me about his schooldays (yes - during and just post-WWII) here and - today - a quarter of an hour of improvised modern dance by a terrific dancer in a troupe that's on a residency there, in the Great Hall.
Every time I walk away from the house to the woods, and see the crown of chimneys rise magically from the roof it makes me catch my breath. This is a magical place. Please, Norman Routledge, keep it going in this lovely Bristol-fashion..earthy, not too dolled up, sometimes a bit ramshackle, with such baroque beauty singing out from the nettles and the lawns.
A. M.
Booked well ahead for breakfast. Appalled by male host attitude on arrival questioning our validity and rude even after his boss confirmed our booking as valid . Unwelcoming, slow error prone service. Staff doing their best under poor management
j. h.
Perfect place for a dog walk, it is really beautiful, the only issue with it is there are no dog poo bins, can be a bit of a pain at times!
