Reviews of St James' Priory
A very special haven in the centre of Bristol. Cafe open Mon to Fri and the oldest building in Bristol. Beautiful stained glass with a special story attached to it. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful place for hiring a meeting room. Good food and facilities, beautiful building.

The oldest building in Bristol. And an incredibly beautiful one too.
Great cafe and meeting rooms. Relaxed atmosphere in cafe.
Beautiful building, fantastic staff and yummy food!!
Very nice cafe and meeting rooms at the priory.
Amazing food and beautiful, peaceful oasis in centre of the city
Beautiful architecture. Went to a wonderful concert
1126AD transforms thought Earth to Heaven: Holy/Holy/Holy.
5of 5.very good service.really felt the mass.
It was founded in 1129 as a Benedictine priory by Robert, Earl of Gloucester, the illegitimate son of Henry I.
Old church close to bus station, outside you will find druggies and beggers
Really great place to worship x
This church is a house of God, so I like very much.
A wonderful place for prayer.
Great service provided by a caring team
Beautiful, transcendental, peaceful.
Beautiful peaceful place
Beautiful building.
Beauty in the heart of Bristol.
Remote from the tracks of man, eh.
It is the oldest building in Bristol and they renovated it very well. After you have done something for your brain, you can do something for your body, because there is a café just outside and all the profit goes to that charity which helped to restore the church and also helps people in need.
Beautiful place.
Quiet place of sanctuary in the heart of the city.
JESUS IS ALIVE
Lovely
Great place
It is not as big as other churches, but very beautiful.
Extremely important building built long ago they say it's the oldest building in Bristol !!! Very photographic stone masons probably chiseled the whole of the prioress stone's and glass windows probably be made by glass blowers # I wounder if Bristols Blue Glass maker's / blowers had been a part of the most important beautiful religious building of Bristol.
I have dropped in the priory & walked around the worshipping hall signed the visitors book when I was 15 knocking off school at school Hartcliffe secondary school the original public school of The Cliffs (Hartcliffe Bristol ) community.
I really like to see the priory now I'm older see for myself to pray for me and my family too. See if I become a 100% believer in God Almighty AH MEN.
A more spiritual peaceful church in the centre of Bristol you will not find.Sit in front of the blessed sacrament and let your mind calm the oldest building in Bristol. You can feel the history.
Probably, the most important site to visit in the South-West of England!
Wonderful atmosphere. Gregorian Chant as background to your meditation . Check Covid opening times.
One of Bristol's oldest churches. It has a rich history. Loved stopping by to meditate.
I don't know how many times Google asks the same person to review the same place. . . The Priory remains peaceful, a haven in the centre of Bristol.
I always enjoy the afternoon Mass Services and the calm atmosphere according one to pray at will
