Reviews of Yate and District Heritage Centre
Yate International festival in September great event. I wish whoever is in charge would promote their events locally and beyond a little bit widely. This last November there was an outside exhibition of tankers, artillery and other items connected with the Centenary of Armstice/WWI. Only found out by chance as was attending something else at St Mary's church next door.
A phenomenal gem found within the coal. Staff and volunteers are friendly, informative, knowledgeable, but also encouraging. Don't just look , ask the staff too.
Visited during the Jubilee celebrations. Very informative and it was lovely to see the local people so enthusiastic
Local exhibitions, changes every few months, free admission, open tues, thurs and Saturday from 10am
Good displays in ancient cultures.
We had a wonderful Tudor day, full of hands on and engaging learning. The children thoroughly enjoyed it, gory details and all. Thank you so much!
Immanuel Christian School, Westerleigh
Went to the St George day festival great fun alround.
They do many thing to show off the history of the area. They link with Bristol university on a small finds day and Oral history that's the parts I get involved in however I also want to find my family history out which they have experts to help with that to
A great place to find the history of yate and surrounding areas always something new to see and new exhibits on display, yate is lucky to have this as most towns take no interest at all in history or community
Had a great tour around some of old Yate, lovely history lesson
Love it, always something going on, don't go there enough really.
Nice to look back but could do better
Cool place to see how yate began and progressed
An amazing local resource of information
