Passionate local volunteers absolutely brimming with knowledge and facts about the history of Langham (RAF Boxted) and the exhibits/displays in the huts.
Our M/C club had a great ride out to here and were unanimously glad we came. Not a bad cup of tea either 👍🏻

A nice enough little museum. Easy to find because it was well signposted. Plenty of parking. A couple of huts with a variety of things to look at. And another hut even has half an aircraft - a maurader - with the relevant information on it. The volunteers are well informed and keen to pass on their knowledge. There is a lot of reading to the exhibits relating to the lives of the service men, but it is interesting to read about their lives during their stay at Boxted and indeed their lives after the war in some cases. There is even a little hut where you can buy some books, badges and other things to remind you of your visit. Coffee is offered as well and as it was a nice day we were able to sit outside but I don't know what would happen if the weather changed. We enjoyed the visit to the memorial at the end of the runway as well. I have edited this review on reflection that we did enjoy the visit.

The museum is not open often but yhis was a special pfe-booked tour. The museum is quite small but has some interesting items and an impressive display of tales of the US servicemen who spent time here in WW2, either from the men themselves or their families. We will remember them.

A hidden gem. A small exhibition on the big history of the former American airfield onsite. Well worth a visit. Check website for opening hours.

I went to see it with my Son yesterday who has a Interest in World war 2 and aeroplanes, we couldn't have been made more welcome, the people who volunteer are very knowledgeable and were enthusiastic about what they were trying to promote and preserve. We were there for a couple of hours and what they have on display is very interesting and nicely placed.
We hope to come back again in the future and wish the place all the success it deserves, if you do go please donate as it helps them in Keeping this valuable history alive for future generations!

The passion and commitment of the volunteers and staff is a credit. They work to ensure the memory of the sacrifice by our greatest generation is not forgotten.

Tricky to find but great local museum with a lot to see and find out about the airfield and how it interacted with local People. Lots of stories about the American servicemen and WW2 artifacts including the only piece of a Marauder aircraft in the country.

Although small in comparison to 'known' museums it provides a useful insight into local history and the role the area played in WW2

This museum is only open the last Sunday off the month march to October Inc and it is maned by a highly band of enthusiasts from the committee and board off trustees and nothing is to much for them.
The contents of the museum tell you a piece off local history you may not know existed this place is a little gem and well worth a visit.
