Reviews of 2-Tone Village
A. W.
Really good to recall the days of 2tone and ska music, besides many others. Loads of information on other famous people born in Coventry who influenced the music scene.
Very helpful staff there too..all enthusiastic and knowledgeable... £4 entrance fee worth paying as all the staff are volunteers, this place needs keeping on the map...
Wont mention too much , but a definite go to see...
My visit was complete as Roddy Radiation Byers ( lead guitarist )
The Specials was visiting ... such a nice guy.. very approachable and natural. Still lives in Coventry.. I will post photos which include himself at Ska village ( he kindly let me photograph him)...
Worth a trip down memory lane folk ....

We visited after finding out about it from a TV programme. It's a great little museum, run by friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. We loved it!
M. T.
Definitely the highlight was sitting in the car as used by the Specials in the video for Ghost Town, very friendly staff, great food at cafe, if you're a 2 tone Ska fan then definitely worth a visit

If you love your music 🎶 then this is the place to be 🙂 Home of Coventry music museum, 2-Tone cafe with its amazing Caribbean and British food, and the best carrot cake ever tasted (home of the Jerk sausage). Clothing and Memorabilia shops run by such friendly and enthusiastic people. I can't give this place enough stars. 😁
N. D.
If you love two tone music you’ll love this museum. It also celebrates all the other Coventry stars over the years. The volunteers make the experience as they are so friendly and enthusiastic.

Friendly and warm welcome from everyone, you will not be disappointed
A. M.
Very interesting small museum with the history and memorabilia from local artists and two tone. Very friendly staff
H. M.
Small but perfectly formed museum, with brilliantly friendly and knowledgeable volunteers to make the exhibits come alive. Next door are two shops one of which sells clothes at very fair prices. Also a shop selling framed posters, CDs etc also very reasonable. Recommend a visit to Herbert Gallery in town afterwards a good exhibition called Grown Up In Britain.
G. D.
Brilliant place, what a fabulous bit of music history and it's run by the nicest people!

Had a great day. Started with a breakfast at 2 Tone Cafe. Then a visit to the Coventry Music Museum. Bought some great clothes from the 2 Tone Corner shop. Next door is the Hall of Fame memorabilia shop. Ended the day with live music from Ya Freshness & The Big Boss Band at the Knights Bar. Brilliant day.

The venue was hired out to us for a 50th birthday. It was a lovely venue with great staff and great food.

My dad and I visited the 2 Tone cafe for first time on Saturday, the first thing was as we walked into the village everybody was so friendly and as for the food, well all I can say it won't be the last time we visit. 😋

If you love 2tone and ska, this is the place to visit. Not over price memorabilia and a cheap and good cafe. The staff are all so cheerful and very willing to help and answer any questions.

Some of the most British icons of music memorabilia here, and some of the nicest people work there.. Amazing food at the cafe, yet to try the restaurant. Love this place. ❤️

Small little village but the people are just so friendly. And if you time it right there is a music venue in the village which hosts live acts. (Evenings). I will be back

Special mention: the staff were so helpful to provide vegan Caribbean food options! (I discovered that Ackee is a great vegan alternative to scrambled egg!)

This is an arcade just off the High Street where the Music Museum is housed, an unmissable mecca to SKA and music in general with dedicated curators who are friendly and welcoming. There are memorabilia shops and a great little cafe a real gem.

Interesting small museum with very friendly staff. Exhibits were interesting but didn't really tell a story, more just a collection of items (tickets, passes, collectables and some props) but worth a visit as a whole with shops and cafe down the alley way where the museum is.
Y. O.
The history of Coventry music in one place, excellent music museum ,a couple of shops selling music memorabilia and two tone clothing, great cafe, full English to jerk chicken rice n peas and Fri Sat evenings a Caribbean restaurant .about once a month a ska band playing live in the bar and venue room.
