Reviews of Midland Air Museum
C.
A wonderful day out and a dream for someone passionate about aviation and British heritage. The amount of planes is simply staggering… not to count the Vulcan… that you can enter in! Museum is housed in the main hangar and it is simply stepping in the glory days of aviation in all his forms. Clearly this place was built and run by passionate people and run for such people. The shop is simply packed with more aviation material that one can imagine, people are extremely friendly. I will be going back soon!
G.
Absolutely amazing museum the amount of stuff they have here is really impressive especially the condition it’s in! You get to sit in planes and learn a lot of history😀but the best thing by far is the Vulcan bomber you can’t believe the size of it till you see it up close and getting to go in the cockpit was truly incredible! Definitely worth a visit you get your moneys worth here! Staff are really friendly and passionate about aviation 🙂
N.
It is small, it is quirky, but the enthusiasm from the staff is fantastic. We spent an hour talking about Vulcan bombers alone ! Feels like a family run museum but well worth a visit just to talk to the staff....
Without places like this our more unique aviation history would be lost.
The cafe was lovely and homely and a fair price.
If I had two grips I wish the models and equipment on display had labels on what they are, many museums number the items then have an index on the display, worth a thought ? Also if someone would donate some rubber grass matting to give wheelchairs a better surface on the outside areas, come on there must be a company out there willing to help......?
T. N.
Very interesting museum with some unique early jet aircraft. Amazing collection of model aircraft and aviation memorabilia covering every era of flight. The enthusiastic volunteers made it a great day out.
J. F.
Great place for the kids to visit even if the weather is a bit rubbish. Getting to go inside the vulcan bomber was a definite highlight for me and the kids. Lots to learn and see inside as well. It is starting to look like a plane graveyard but I can imagine the effort and cost to restore a plane would be especially seeing at they are mainly volunteers that run this place
M. S.
A very eclectic collection of aircraft, engines, air frame parts, artifacts, models of all shapes and sizes and types, all crammed in one large space, and then there are outdoor grounds where are variety of aircraft are parked. Lots to see, lots to read and immerse in. Big emphasis on jet engines, their history and development and all the aircraft are cold war jet era. Very interesting if you are an aviation enthusiast. Unusually they have several cockpits that you can climb into, including into the Vulcan that is parked outside ... for us this was the highlight of the visit!
A. P.
A great place to visit if you love planes. My son loved this place as there was not a big crowds the day we went (he does not like big crowds) so they a was idle for him. Tickets prices are great value as well and the cafe is small but does all food fresh .
Well worth a visit.

It was a great experience to visit this local community run/volunteer museum.
It does need a bit of a lifting as some of the attractions are missing a touch of modernity.
The highlight was the visit of the Vulcan bomber cockpit and the explanations and details provided by a volunteer that helped restoring it.
J. M.
A superb experience that we attended on a whim. The staff were wonderful and my little boy loved it. We came when it was really quiet so practically had the run of the place. It's much bigger than you think and if you had time to read the signs you could be here for days. The Vulcan is not to be missed
S. J.
Fantastic place for all. Ground (grass) a bit bumpy outside and majority of exibits on ground level. You can also go inside some of the planes and even in the cockpits. A good place for 1/2 day they have cafe and shop and toilets.
S. R.
Great few hours out. Our 6 year old loves anything mechanical so this was a great day for her. Lovely staff who were very knowledgeable about the aircraft on show. Some of them were restored by the staff themselves and it was great listening to the stories. You can even get into some of the aircraft. Fantastic few hours. Great little cafe too
only small but does cakes, chocolates and sandwiches so you can get a light lunch. Highly recommended 👍🏼
M. M.
Very interesting museum. I went with my children they enjoyed the tour. We sat inside two planes. One man explained, during the war, how the fighters used to fight.
B. D.
I’ve lived in the area all my life and never visited the Air Museum until today.
Took my 3 year old nephew and as we were exploring the site jumping in and out of various planes we met Gordon. I cannot begin to explain how much more enjoyable he made our visit, and how lucky we were to meet such a Gentleman. His knowledge of the aircraft and his enthusiasm for everything was a thing of beauty. He spent so much time explaining things to my nephew who had a million and one questions whilst also sharing his aviation stories and career with us. I cannot thank him enough for his time today, and if you were to visit keep your eye out for him, and make sure you say hello. You won’t regret it. If you see this Gordon, you made a young man and his uncles day today. Thank you.
A. F. C.
What a fabulous place...an amazing collection of aircraft..splendid displays..a champion cuppa at the café and the staff were super..very friendly and lots of fun..I enjoyed my visit greatly..why isn't this place getting the deserved publicity it needs for it's nationally important collection.
T. S.
Interesting museum this with a big focus on Frank Whittle and the jet engine. Aircraft outside looked a little tired. A lot of resto work to be done, but funds presumably tight. Massive collections of model aircraft also
A. B.
A great place to spend an hour or two been here a few times over the years the aircraft are being restored as they are open to the elements. A nice café and gift shop with friendly staff.
B. J.
Great!! When do you get the chance to sit in a Vulcan?
If you like aircraft then you'll love it. If you don't, there's still enough to make it an interesting visit.
I. H.
Fabulous collection of aircraft you can get up close to. Great informative displays in the indoor area. Wonderful volunteers on hand to give information on some of the exhibits
A. P.
Fantastic Place !
Price is amazing considering you are allowed inside the cockpits of various aircraft, massive variety on display, the highlight was being inside the Vulcan 🇬🇧
M. W.
Great museum with a nice selection of predominantly military aircraft. Though they do have a Vickers Viscount and a splendid Bristol Argosy. Staff are lovely too. Nice wee tea room on site serving sandwiches (highly recommended) and hot and cold drinks, cakes, crisps etc.
M. C.
What amazing place just paradise for aviation geeks like myself and my son, saying that its a great day out for the whole family. 5 * all the way especially for the staff who work there
S. R.
These small Air Museum always amazes me. You could spend a few hours easy enjoying the site. There is always a lot more than you think and the staff are brilliant. I did around four of these sites while down from Glasgow and easily the best in and most welcoming. Decent parking area and value for money. Even got into my first Vulcan cockpit although I got into my second half an hour later but thats the other Vulcan a few miles away. 😁 Great collection and shop.
A. M.
At just under £8 for an adult this museum is a bargain. There is a lot to see so give yourself a good two to three hours to do it justice. At the entrance there are lots of models which you can buy and make up yourself once you are home. Once inside it is all well sign posted giving you a history of each and every item. Then when you go outside there you will see plenty aircraft of all descriptions. It was brilliant to get to sit in the cockpit of a Vulcan and listen to the story of the aitcraft. No body rushes you away you can stay as long as you like. There are staff on hand to answer any queries you may have. It was a great experience to visit this amazing museum.
J. P.
If you are into aviation you will love this place. Loads of interesting exhibits including jet engines and static display aircraft largely from the 50s, 60s 70s and 80s. I could have spent all day there! Brilliant!
S. P.
Great museum with some unusual aircraft to see. Definately recommend.
C. W.
Lots to see at this museum but unfortunately the exhibits aren't looked after too well. Many of the aircraft could really do with a wash or a repaint. It's a shame to see these airframes in such a bad condition.
D. F.
Great exhibition of planes outside. Loved the exhibition on Sir Frank Whittle. Could be slightly more information on the planes outside but overall brilliant museum.
d. r.
It was such a hot day it meant that they couldn't open some aircraft due to humidity in the cockpit although it was due to health and safety, On the website it states it has a restaurant but all it was a cafe with only sandwiches and also toasties crisps and hot and cold drinks very disappointing
s. m.
Wish I'd taken more photos. This is a first rate air museum. Lots of interewt in the main hanger with a hawker hunter as the main display and a few other planes. Upstairs is Blerio replica with original engine, hugely jnterestjng to see, especially the undercarriage suspension using elastic instead of springs.
The highlight for me was the vulcanised, where are group was taken inside the crew cabin and had a "guided tour" by a member of staff. Very informative.
Don't miss the renovation hanger at the bottom of the field. There is a tiny sign on a chair that is easy to miss, especially as yiu are walking around the MIGS and other misc aircraft. Huge collective including super sabre, otter, Vampire, etc etc etc!
A. G.
Small museum (as air museums go) with passable collection of aircrafts on the border of Coventry Airport. Highlights include a well maintained Avro Vulcan with an accessible cockpit, displays of Harriers, a MiG 21, an Mi 24 Hind without the rotors among others. Lots of model aircraft, engines and engine cutouts and cockpit cutouts to see or seat in.
Entry costs £7.50 per person payable at the till of the souvenir shop before entering.
Try to arrive by car, if using cabs prepare to wait for sometime to get a cab, for buses you'd have to walk 3/4th of a mile to the nearest stop.
PS: The shed in which the exhibits are hosted get quite hot on a summer day, so carry refreshments (or buy from the vending machines).
J. C.
A nice museum with a wide variety of British aircraft (Avro Vulcan, de Havilland Sea Vixen, and a Gloster Meteor), along with some from different countries such as an RCAF F-101 Voodoo and a SAAB J-29F Tunnan. Also nice to see a de Havilland Vampire painted in Royal Auxiliary Air Force colors. They also have a well stocked gift shop and lots of old books. Well worth a visit.
A. B.
A handy little museum on Coventrys doorstep. Reasonably priced with a good selection of jets including a Vulcan.
My boys loved it.
D. Y.
Cracking museam, friendly folks, very knowledgeable, a lot cramed into a small space, will be back, driven past it many times, finally got here
R. T.
Staff brilliant friendly good selection of planes coffee cheapest iv bought for a while but nice well worth the visit
D. B.
Fabulous place really interesting and informed displays about general aircraft and then an entire display dedicated to Coventrys own history associated with aviation. Highlight was being able to go into the cockpit of the vulcan bomber. Incredible experience would highly recommend
S. S.
Fascinating collection of aircraft, memorabilia, history. You can go inside the Vulcan, and sit in a Meteor cockpit!
E. T. (. S. F. H.
Lovely place to visit with kids and introduce them air plane etc.
a bit dated display but pack with great history. plenty space to sit around and outside too.
K. B.
Interesting museum for a couple of hours wander. Knowledgable and friendly staff on hand if you have any questions. Easy one way route to follow and easy to social distance. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
J. “. D.
Great collection of cold war jets. Supported by some very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. Good value shop. You can also get a tea or coffee and snacks.
C. H.
An amazing display of War planes. And some really good details on their history.
An absolute must for any War or plane enthusiasts.
The entrance fee is very reasonable for what you get.
M. R.
Lots to see and read about, and a very interesting film about Sir Frank Whittle and his work inventing and developing the jet engine. I particularly enjoyed sitting in the Vulcan bomber and the very interesting talk about the Vulcan by one of the museum guides.
A. F.
Really enjoyed the experience of this great Museum. A must for any aeroplane enthusiasts.
K. B.
I visited with 2 small children on a drizzly Wednesday on a whim, and we had a great time. It is surprisingly big and there is so much to see! They loved getting into the cockpits and we learned loads. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and patient! I will definitely return.
J. K.
Impromptu visit as we were passing the area. Glad we did, absolutely fantastic .. and got to view inside the Vulcan cockpit !!
Costs next nothing to get in and really well worth a visit.
M. A.
Absolutely stuffed full of fantastic aircraft and memorabilia, models, original artefacts, documents and more. Great shop and friendly staff. Plus a Vulcan you can sit in!
M. H.
Friendly staff and a definite surprise right on our doorstep.
Lots of different aircraft, with some genuine surprises.
Brilliant experience and a place we will revisit regularly
E. K.
An excellent museum with a unique aircraft collection.
Oldest surviving meteor and vampire, along with some rarely seen fighter jets.
Detailed display on Sir Frank Whittle and the design of Britain's first jet engine.
Fully stocked shop, cafe and friendly staff.
D. P.
As a family with a 4 year old boy, we all thoroughly loved looking around the museum & aircraft outside. Yes the outside exhibits look a bit tired and weather beaten, but that doesn't detract from their fantastic history. Takes a good couple of hours to look around, and well worth a visit if you're in the area.
w. D.
Wonderful day with lovely helpful and knowledgeable staff
R. R.
Great place to visit, not huge but lots of interesting objects and plane types, with the option to go onboard a Vulcan, and several plane cockpits to either get in or view, staff are great, really helpful and happy to chat about planes etc, there is a shop, tearoom and toilet.
B. J.
I highly recommend this museum. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and they are very knowledgeable. The exhibits are interesting and unusual and you can get up close and personal with the planes.
We went on a weekday and there weren't loads of people which meant you could spend a lot of time looking at individual items.
There is ample free parking, it is easy to get to, the cafe food was very nice and the shop is full of interesting things if you want to buy something.
T. N.
If u like planes or war history then you should certainly visit. U can even get inside the cockpit of a Vulcan bomber, which not many people can say they've done. Great selection of planes and some passionate and knowledgeable staff make it a very pleasant way to spend a sunny afternoon. My little girl loves "airplanes" so she was over the moon to visit and get inside a few.
L. B.
Worth supporting in these difficult times. Reasonably priced entry fees. Wish they did a bit more food choices in the cafe. Volunteers always helpful opening up aircraft and showing you around things. Lots of 2nd hand military books and models on offer in the gift shop.
s. L.
Very interesting place, nice family atmosphere but the food is very expensive so will be taking a picnic next time although i suppose doesnt hurt to spend and help keep places like this going as they have made it really nice and both myself and my son loved it.
P. W.
Visited the museum specifically to see their Vulcan bomber. Not the biggest air museum but the knowledge and enthusiasm of both the reception staff and all the volunteer guides made the whole visit well worth the travel (350 mile round trip). To get a guided tour inside the Vulcan was an absolute delight and would definitely advise any one interested in the Vulcan aircraft to go.
A. H.
Fantastic museum with very knowledgable staff. We got a tour of the Vulcan cockpit which was excellent. It lasted about 20mins and was completely free although we did make a donation after. For £7.50 for adults it's really good value for money. There's a huge selection of cold war jets from the UK, Russia and US. There are a couple of cockpits you can climb into to have a better look. A great collection overall and well worth a visit if you're into aviation.
S. K.
Great place to bring the family
S. P.
Stopped off for a couple of hours on long Mway journey, could have spent much longer. Great collection of early jets, ( nice to see a rare Saab Tunnan) and the huge Argosy, local aviation history, fantastic access to cockpits including the Vulcan, wow! Friendly and informative staff and cafe does a nice toasted sandwich too!
P. W.
For £7.50 per adult it's a great little museum. It's the only place where you can actually get inside a Vulcan. Due to most of the aircraft being outside its not best during wet weather. There is quite a lot for your money.
G. V.
Lots of planes and lots of history. A museum with a dedication to sir Frank Whittle who invented the jet engine and came from the nearby area. Not particularly interactive but too much on display to see in a day. I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested, even a small amount, in aviation.
f. 1.
Great little place, the gent who spoke about the vulcan cockpit was very knowledgeable and friendly, and even though he's probably answered the same questions a million times he gladly and enthusiastically answered them again for me. Lots of models on display next to the real thing. Didn't eat in the cafe but looked nice enough, toilets were clean etc. All in all a very nice little place to visit for an hour or 3
T. E.
One of the best air museums around. Some great volunteers with a wealth of knowledge. It's these small museums that you need to visit otherwise they'll be gone
H. M.
Quaint little museum, aeroplanes are awesome. There are a lot of our British planes but some American and a few other countries. The planes are outside so consider the weather when you go. We got to sit in the cockpit of the Vulcan and had a guide who discussed and told us of its history, this was the most amazing part. The cafe was okay and the huge slice of cake I had was most delicious but the menu is limited. However, it is a lovely museum that's worth visiting!
A. T.
Fabulous reminder of the achievements of the best of British. Our engineers were the best of the bunch and achieved despite penny pinching by the government. This is a magnificent place to go. It is a must visit place for anyone living or visiting the Midlands
j. x.
£7.75 pp
What a bargain , nice way to fill a few hours .
Plenty to see and read up on .
Highly recommended
P. T.
A spur of the moment trip for a bit of nostalgia. Hours can be spent here in this absorbing museum. Friendly and informative staff and much to see!
B. G.
Really enjoyed it. The video of Sir Frank Whittle's life story was very good too, but not for kids as it was quite long (40 minutes at least). Got to take a look inside a Vulcan bomber too.
C. O.
Such a great place to go, I love taking my boys there to inspire them into learning about aviation.
There is a good selection of civilian and military aircraft parts, current and old. A good area on manufacturing and the history of modern flight.
If you like airfix models there is a sea of them there.
T. A.
Most of aircraft was closed for access. Inside was scorchingly hot. Best thing you can climb inside one of the cabins.
A. S.
Great mini day out for anyone with an interest in the historic aviation of British engineering.
w. w.
Second visit here. Layout outdoors seems much better than previous visit,-about 6 years ago. Very good museum.
R. L.
Well worth a visit for anyone with an interest in planes. Cheap enough to get in 2 adult 2kids £22 friendly staff.
M. M.
A hidden gem on the periphery of Coventry Airport!
The Midland Air Museum houses an interesting selection of exhibits ranging from engines; cockpit sections, model aircraft, all the way through to complete Airframes from both sides of the former Iron Curtain. The assembled collection is diffuse and it is remarkable how much the museum has managed to accommodate within it's relatively compact footprint.
The Museum incorporates the Frank Whittle Centre, which forms the entry point for visitors before accessing the broader collection. The indoor collection ranges from jet pioneers such as the Gloster Meteor; Saab Tunnan and a Rover W.2/700 jet engine, before leading onto the external exhibits incorporating Cold War legends such as the Avro Vulcan; Hawker Hunter, Sea Harrier, and the much-lamented Panavia Tornado GR4.
If the above exhibits do not whet your appetite, the collection also incorporates a stunning MiG 21 SPS; F104G Starfighter, MiL attack helicopter, and an F4 Phantom are perhaps also worthy of mention.
This museum affords a real opportunity to get up close to the exhibits. Indeed, the option to climb aboard the Vulcan for a cockpit view, or, the opportunity to visually inspect the interior of the MiL helicopter, (subject to Covid-19 precautions), are highlights worthy of note.
In conclusion, the Midland Air Museum represents incredible value for money and offers a relatively inexpensive day out suitable for the whole family.
The staff are friendly and the volunteers are knowledgeable. The gift shop caters for the majority of tastes ranging from bargain books through to model kits. Parking is free and ample.
T. T.
Givea you the in's and out's of how the modern planes came about in the first part then outside to where the actual planes are. There are a lot of planes that you can even get into , but it was finding a guide to help get into them . My son loved this place and we will be back again .
D. T.
Some interesting aircraft and to be able to sit in a Vulcan Bomber is an incredible experience. Some of the exhibits and museum is perhaps in need of some maintenance or tidying up.
P. M.
As museums go MAM has a varied selection of aircraft. Sadly most of them are out in the open which means the condition of most airframes exterior condition has degraded since my last visit. That's not a criticism. The volunteers work hard but it's like painting the Forth Bridge. The shop is well stocked with a large selection of books, models and a large selection of ephemera around the sheds and hangars associated with Coventry, Armstrong Whitworth and of course Sir Frank Whittle. It's worth a visit, and the brucie bonus today was the sound of the preserved Avro Shackleton being run a short distance away sadly out of sight.
The down side is that Farcebook have again excelled themselves and blocked me for 3 days for posting this pic of the Vulcan when I arrived!!!
P. L.
First visit since the '80s...good to see most of the stored aircraft now restored.
I. M.
The volunteers and staff are as wonderful as the aircraft and exhibits at this cracking little museum. I highly recommend that you make a point of spending some time here looking around at the wonderful aircraft, and then sampling the superb little Cafe before you leave completely satisfied. I had a wonderful time there with my Camera, and I have uploaded some of the shots I got to give you a taste of what you'll find there...
M. S.
A bit far from the city as we walked there, but it was interesting, I didn't expect to see so much. You can take pictures in a cockpit too, so that's a bonus.
C. S.
Fascinating museum with a large and interesting collection. Very comprehensive shop and a good cafe with friendly and helpful staff.
t. w.
Loved the aircraft and they do a fabulous cheese and onion toastie too
J. F.
A quirky but very charming museum that has some great exhibits not least if which as an Avro Vulcan that they do cockpit tours of! That makes it pretty much unique and so is well worth a visit.
V. K.
Absolutely facinating, able to get up close to some exhibits , great day out
V. P.
Great for kids and adults! Lots of interesting things to find out about history/wars etc.
D. R.
Absolutely brilliant, many more hands on experiences such as guides to show you around cockpits and a great range of planes.
I. M.
Parts of the museum looked like a plane scrap yard. Most of the planes are very neglected and at the very least need a coat of paint.
G. L.
Fantastic aviation museum, several cockpit tour's are included in the price when available. Lots of unique aircraft to see would definitely visit again.
E. B.
Keith made the experience, loved looking around and got to sit in the Vulcan as my bf sorted it for me as it was my birthday
F. B.
Great place for aircraft enthusisasts! The fun starts at a grand hangar, where a fully preserved Meteor -and other superb aircraft- are parking inside. We also met the ,,Vulcan-guy” who invited us into the Avro Vulcan bomber parked outside for a very interesting and mind-blowing cockpit-guide. In the courtyard there are many well-preserved historic jet-fighters. American classics (Shooting Star, Voodoo, Phantom, etc) and key british classic fighters (Canberra, Vixen, Harrier, etc). They also have a grand selection of scale models at the shop (Revell, Trumpeter, Tamiya, Airfix) and a MASSIVE selection of books! It was worth every penny. Cheers to the Vulcan-guy.
E. F.
A great day out for the family. Entertaining and affordable. Impressed. It was nice to sit outside with a coffee and be surrounded by the planes.
S. W.
A small but interesting collection. Had an excellent time inside the Vulcan cockpit. Worth a visit
C. B.
Lovely museum with lots of old aeroplanes. Lovely, knowledgeable volunteers too. Nice to visit if you like plans and have a few hours to spare.
F. L.
Lovey museum, it felt like a museum from my childhood, not modern but very good. Loads of information, lovely people great chance to go in one of the planes and a lovely talk. Small cafe only muffins and crisps not much food for sale. Great shop though!
A. B.
Great place to visit, lots of planes to see and you can sit in the cockpit of a vulcan bomber
R. H.
Full of friendly staff all keen to demonstrate their projects.
N. C.
Great little museum. It would be even better with an upgraded café.
P. K.
First ever visit, money well spent, food and drinks available in the on site cafe, along with an extensive range of Airfix models to buy. I've can now say I've actually been in a, V Force Vulcan aircraft.
D. N. D. J.
Well worth a visit. Make sure you don't miss the guided tour of the Avro Vulcan - Survivor XL360!
T. A. C.
Very well laid out with lots of information about the exhibits indoors as well as the opportunity to sit in a jet cockpit. An impressive array of aircraft on static display outside. Friendly and helpful staff and a "dog friendly" place - so my dog was able to take the same interest as I.
S. R.
Great to be able to sit in the crew area of a Vulcan. Lots of aircraft outside to look around. Great part of the museum inside that covers more than aircraft. The shop mainly has books and manuals but a fair few model kits to buy along with other items.
A. D.
Excellent!! We had a great time here, plus was shown inside two of the aircraft, the Vulcan is especially worth going into (for those that can climb up there) and had one of the 'young volunteers' talk through the Vulcan operations by those flying it and so more information, very knowledgeable and enlightening. 11 out of 10, much more than expected, thanks so much :-)
c. s.
One of the most nice military airplanes museum! 5*
A. S.
A must-visit for anyone interested in post-war British military aircraft and the work of Sir Frank Whittle. Exhibits include the Gloster Meteor, DeHavilland Vampire, English Electric Lightning and Avro Vulcan. You can enter some of the aircraft, but check ahead to see which are open.
S. G.
Loved it, fascinating to see a the old military planes. Very helpful staff. Allow a good hour for your visit.
p. h.
This is a real jewel.. Experience what it's like to climb into the pilots view of various aircraft. Great value for money cafe onsite too :)
G. W.
Really friendly and welcoming. Coping well with covid. There are still people around to answer your questions. I'm really glad they have managed to reopen.
D. g.
Amazing place could be a few more aircraft that I like part from that loved it hope to come again
P. J.
Anyone who is interested in planes will love this place, there is a tremendous variety of aircraft to see and the staff who are all volunteers are only too happy to help.
D. M.
Never realised this was here. There was a lit to see and it was well laid out. Really glad we went.
A. H.
Brilliant collection of aircraft and aviation related items, perfect for all audiences.
M. F.
Very good collection and pleasant volunteers happy to chat, entry cost a bit steep though
D. C.
Good museum, lots of models and actual aircraft. Predominantly focused on jets.
M. B.
Visited on a wet Sunday. The people were very friendly and interesting to listen to.
Had a look inside the cockpit of the Vulcan bomber with one of the guides and found it very interesting.
There was enough to occupy us for a few hours.
Would recommend this museum.
D.
Great service and great staff excellent and professional service.
J. F. (. C.
One of the best collections I know !! I love the Vulcan !! I come again and again!
S. Y.
I visited the air museum today with my grandchildren and a friend with her children. We had the most amazing day. The children loved it so much. We arrived at 10am and didn’t leave until 2.30. The children loved seeing all the planes of different shapes and sizes. The Vulcan bomber was actually breathtaking, it was absolutely huge. The children were able to climb up the ladder and go inside with the guide who told them all about it’s history, they absolutely loved it. We went into the workshop where we met the wonderful Gordon who incidentally is 93 and looks amazing. He was totally amazing with the children and they were mesmerised by his stories. They couldn’t ask enough questions and he couldn’t do enough to answer them he was a total superstar. The children got to sit in a helicopter and talk to another lovely member of staff answering constant questions. They also loved the inside museum and sat in a cockpit. They couldn’t stop taking about their wonderful day. Thankyou to all the staff and the wonderful museum. Fabulous day out.
H.
Very interesting, lots to see and read about, nice friendly staff, small but nice cafe
A. S.
Last visited 5 years ago and more planes were opened up to the public. Some of these are under restoration so will hopefully be open again soon. There is a cockpit to sit in and you can go inside the Vulcan 👍🙂
P. B.
Our 4 year old grandson enjoyed running around looking at the aircraft. Probably better to go on a day when cockpit visits are available, and perhaps when he is a bit older. Nice little cafe, no frills but ok.
I. S.
Really interesting and enjoyable visit. Fascinating history and some great exhibits inside and out (best displayed without the torrential rain experienced today but some massive wings to shelter under!) Sad observations of the short-sighted opinions of Whittle's ideas on jet engine development and the consequent patents and opportunities given away to other nations, particularly ahead of WW2! Also highlighted the loss of so many great manufacturing names and facilities around the Midlands and the general demise of businesses that actually make things any more.
A. L.
A small, unassuming air museum with a fantastic collection. Please ask to be written inside the Vulcan - a great, unique and informative experience.
p. h.
What an absolute gem of a museum. Visited with my 7 year old and he didn't get bored so it must be good.
A fair sized museum with plenty to see with highlights being the Vulcan Bomber and we got to see inside which was a complete bonus!
The shop was very well stocked and it is very reasonably priced
A must if you like aircraft
C. M.
Wheelchair accessible for most of the museum however one area is only accessible via stairs.
Plenty of seating inside and out
Can get into lots of the planes, including the Vulcan
Lots of books, magazines and model kits in the shop.
A lot more to see than I expected
D. B.
Edit: Now the pandemic is largely over, a lot more is open here so worth even more of a visit. A special thank you to Steve today (24/04) for being so accomodating toward myself and my little boy on our visit, and a thanks to all the staff and volunteers who told us about the planes and helped us get in and out.
While sadly the usual open planes and cockpits are closed due to COVID-19, the museum is still worth a visit. The staff are friendly and doing a good job in these circumstances. Hopefully I'll be able to edit this post next year!
S. P.
I wasn't aware of the museum until recently. Very impressed, was able to get into the cockpit of the Vulcan and the Victor. Spectacular. The planes, detail and cockpit experiences made my day. Well worth a visit in my opinion.
N. F.
Friendly staff and really nice to be able to see inside alot of the aircraft. Every turn in the static exhibitions was a new adventure!
M. R.
Its good for kids as well!! If you're planning in winter then hoodie up before you go, there are loads of aircrafts for display outside.
There's parking & Cafe!!
N. S.
Very interesting museum, a lot to see and read about
B. M.
A very nice volunteer gave me a lovely talk about the history of the Vulken bomber.
L. H.
Great museum ! Loved going inside the Vulcan
V. G.
Entrance is a little steep I think, but places such as these rely on donations and volunteers so understand the cost. The exhibitions are great, educational and interesting and outside is a really wonderful collection of aircraft. It is obviously well loved and looked after, a few of the displays were without light which was a shame on a cold and overcast day. All in all, a fun visit.
S. M.
We spent a few hours looking around this lovely little museum and even got to climb up into the Vulcan's cockpit...😃
S. C.
Excellent set of exhibits in a museum run by enthusiasts who really know and love their aviation heritage.
A. R.
Great day out! Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended
E. H.
Fab place. Loads of room. Very interesting. Staff were very accommodating. Very happy with our experience
I. P.
Loads of things for plane obsessed children (and adults) to look at. We were lucky enough to go on a day when you were allowed to climb up inside the Vulcan bomber cockpit, which was a great experience. The place is run by very enthusiastic, friendly, helpful people, and is definitely worth a visit.
R. F.
Great museum - much bigger than expected from the Facebook page. Loads of exhibits, including aircraft from around the world. Even some cockpits to get into. Fantastic shop as well as a bonus.
P. H.
Great place to visit. Most enjoyable.Lovely staff
B. D.
Lovely volunteer led museum with a good collection of fast jets and specific exhibits covering Frank Whittle and Coventry's aerospace heritage. Highlight was entry to Vulan cockpit.
S. N.
Great museum with plenty to see! There is such a variety and so much information for such a reasonable admission price. The staff there are also very friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. You can tell they all have a passion for what they do! There are even a few cockpits you can enter and a few interactive displays, it is definitely worth a visit even if you only go for quick look round but don't be surprised if you're there longer than you think! (Don't forget to visit the Vulcan)
L. M.
Very nice and amazing place. Have a great day here. The price for entry i think is okay
T. S.
Superb spot to visit with plenty to do and lots to learn about. Open cockpits especially the Vulcan Bomber are a must visit. The sites and sounds will easily entertain children for at least 2-3 hours. Staff are excellent and provide great explanations and stories to exhibits 10/10!!!!!
J. P.
Great day out with plenty of interactive displays and quite a few open cockpits. Add friendly staff, a reasonably priced cafe and a great model shop and you've got yourself a winner. Small but highly recommended!
J. N.
Brilliant place, but they desperately needs volunteers , some planes outside need some TLC,mate was like a kid in a toy shop, 32 yrs old and he was climbing into the planes was allowed, so much info about the place, the Vulcan outside gave us cover under the vast wing as it started to rain , and even this time of year it was busy, and it has a small tea 🍵🍰 room,
B. -. M.
Great museum.
We were there for almost 2 hours
Lots to see and the chance to squeeze into a cockpit.
And the real treat to get inside a Vulcan.
E. M.
Fantastic! An incredible collection.
Run by some very knowledgeable people. Where else can you sit in the pilots seat of a vulcan whilst being told about what that actul airframe did.
Great for kids and big kids.
A real shame that coventry is largely know for the car industry when so many planes were made at the airport.
An even bigger shame that the runway is pencilled to close in the coming years.
S. P.
Spent a couple of really enjoyable hours and could easily have spent a couple more. A lot of static exhibits to review and a very informative museum indoors.
What makes the place special though are the staff/curators/restorers whose knowledge is prodigious and are very easy to chat to. I was personally taken into two cockpits, Electra and a Victor, and run through the history and restoration work. Also examined a Flettner early German helicopter.
Plenty for everyone and a well stocked shop and cafe.
The admission cost is a bargain, well worth giving a donation to help with further restoration work.
Thoroughly recommend the place and will return again
A. E.
Visited on a cold February half term with grandchildren. The staff were fabulous and we had individual tours and explanation for several aircraft which we were allowed to climb into the cockpits. Grandsons absolutely loved this. Little cafe for basic fare was useful to get warm as the hangars were cold. Simple gift shop too.
K. S.
Loved this museum, a chance find. £7.50 adult, maybe a little pricey.
Z. Z.
This place is superb. Loads of planes to see of varying sizes. Some are interactive that kids and adults can be hands on with. (must point out they aren't toys so hand with care) run by volunteers and they give you great insight into how they were used and where they came from. Cafe on site to sit and have a bit of food and drink afterwards. You might even catch the local model making group based on site.
A. J.
Super good with kids. For 1 or 2 hours perfect time spent. Inside and outside areas with planes and some helicopters. Coffee and shop area is also available. Can definitely recommend
J. P.
A great place to visit ! If you're into planes or the story of the jet age you have to pay a visit .The Museum is charity based but don't charge a fortune for entry , only £7.75 for an adult for all day . On a dry day you can go outside and see all the planes and helicopters too ( well worth waiting inside if it's raining a bit ) And that's not all , the kind and polite staff will even let you climb up into the cockpit of a real Vulcan bomber ! (Not every day you do that ) Then there's the Cafe , good hot and cold snacks /chocolate / crisps or just a cupper and slice of homemade cake (All at very reasonable prices ) Anything else ? Yes plenty of parking . Well done to all the team !
S. M.
Definitely worth 5 stars though my visit today was a disappointment. Today there was a model kit fair there which meant many exhibits could not be seen well inside and outside there were cars parked all round the site in front of the aircraft making photography impossible. Not much was open though the chance to see inside the Vulcan bomber was amazing. The guide was excellent and the experience was well worth the visit. Definitely going to visit again but not when they have an event like today's. It would be good if they warned of the restricted viewing when such events are held on their website. I totally understand that this probably brought them much needed finance so cannot complain. It was worth the visit for the Vulcan alone and am looking forward to returning to see the other exhibits soon.
M. I.
Learnt so much and you can actually go in some of the planes for a closer look - the kids from what I can assume was the local school seemed to enjoy their visit too , staff very friendly. Stopped off in the cafe to feed my baby and have coffee and cake. Was lovely!! Highly recommended
P. M.
This is a great museum, with a fantastic display about Frank Whittle and the development of the jet engine. There's also an outdoor display of aircraft, and a well stocked shop.
M. B.
Great place to visit. Chatted for 30 mins to a great chap who was waiting in a Vulcan. Had some great stories. There's alot of great displays and information.
M. S.
nice museum for children, good outdoor display environment.
E. P.
Really cool visit, cheap entrance fee however I would be willing to pay more so that they could afford some central heating in the inside part of the museum. it was painfully cold in there.
Volunteers were great especially the man who let us sit Inside the vulcan, he was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Over all reasonable few hours spent here. Good little excursion.
S. R.
Visited here with my wife and four children. They loved it. Especially when they got into the cockpit and saw inside of some the plane's.
It is well worth a visit. Very reasonable entry price. £20 for 2 adults and 4 children.
I would definitely recommend visiting.
D. J.
Good little museum. Decently priced. Highly recommend it.
T. W.
A fantastic museum with plenty to see and do. So wonderful to have the chance to be close to these wonderful exhibits. Well done to all the staff. Thank you .
L. M.
Enjoyed the visit and a naration of the plane history
C. S.
Great museum, it may not be large but it's more than big enough for my enjoyment. My daughter and I got to sit in a Vulcan bomber, I've only seen one at the Blackpool air show so it was a great experience. So much to see you won't be disappointed.
S. E.
So much better value than Duxford, smaller but fantastic exhibits ,and free car parking ,thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and the lemon drizzle cake rounded it off lovely ,awesome definitely recommend ,the guides were lovely folk and had a lit of knowledge about there planes, thanks to all involved for making it a fab place
O. H.
Fantastic museum! There are a huge range of full size aircraft in the outdoor area. Some of which you can go inside! This depends on the day you go I think. I got to go in the cockpit of a Vulcan which was a great experience. The indoor part of the museum also has a good selection of exhibits and an are area focused on the Jet engine developed by Whittle. There are a huge amount of well made plastic scale models of airplanes in display cases around the museum along with historical objects. The staff are friendly very knowledgeable and kind. I definitely recommend this museum.
M. N.
Really friendly and knowledgeable volunteers along with interesting exhibits made for a lovely family morning out.
L. M.
Great place to wander about with the kids for a couple of hours.
Reasonable price.
C. R.
An excellent museum to visit, friendly staff. The facilities are excellent with extra care taken during the covid crisis.
The vulcan bomber wings make excellent
Rain shelters when it rains.
Well worth a visit..... You will not be disappointed.
B. D.
The gentleman who took us inside the Vulkan and gave us loads of info and stories was amazing. 10/10 would go back
M. T.
Great museum with a wide variety of aircraft, reasonable price for entry and lots to look around. Some of the aircraft look a little tired, but that is completely understandable considering the majority of the work is carried out by volunteers, definitely worth a visit!
M. H.
It is a nice place for people who like aircraft. There is a marvellous collection of British aircraft. I enjoy our stay there. The guider in Vulcan was fantastic and he told us a lot of interesting things. 👍
m. v.
I really like this museum. Quirky, loads of planes and jets. Less access into planes than previously presumably due to Covid, but still great. I now understand jet engines.
W. H.
Gem of a museum with good range of aircraft and exhibitions. Friendly staff who will go the extra mile to answer questions or enhance your visit. Recommended.
P. L.
Fantastic place with very rare aircraft
D.
Informative, fascinating experience great for all ages.
T. W.
Friendly staff that are knowledgeable and welcoming. Amazing Vulcan experience. I really love all the hands on experiences and the amount of cockpits you get to sit in. Really brings your visit alive. Great shop to top it all off. Would definitely recommend
R. L.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of exhibits to see. Would be good for all ages. Inside of Vulcan bomber very interesting. Coffee and cake was much welcome at the end of the visit!
А. К.
Very nice place for members of air transport!!!
J.
Vulcan therapy, amazing staff. A place every wartime aviation enthustiast must visit. Hidden gem on the outskirts of a beautiful city! Rightly Capital of Culture 2021!
C. T.
Excellent day out. Friendly staff, well presented, lots to see.
Everyone keeping their distance and mistvpeople wearing masks in the buildings.
Well worth a visit.
M. S.
Very nice muzeum full of awesome planes and other stuff.
A. K.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff with an impressive and unique collection of aircraft. Do approach those working in and around the museum on your walk because you can learn quite a bit from enthusiastic people involved with the restoration work
K. B.
Well worth a visit, plenty to see indoors and out for adults and children alike. Lots of history but being able to get up close to so many aircraft and be in awe of their size is the best bit.
J. F.
Really nice museum that has a well deserved reputation in Coventry amongst locals. Whittle exhibition is good on how the jet engine was developed. There's a Meteor for you to sit in and marvel at just how many controls there are. Then the volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable so they bring exhibits such as the Vulcan bomber to life.
S. W.
Well worth a visit. Volunteer Brian and his friend Colin were so helpful and made the day more special for our son. Well worth a visit. I am a girls girl and I learned loads and wasn't wanting to go before the boys.
S. M.
Very interesting place some really cool planes and models
J. F.
A brilliant museum full of great aircraft, you'll need a day here to get around everything. I even got to climb in a vulcan, and they have two lightnings. Well worth a visit. To many aircraft to mention on here, but it covers a amazing time range as well. There is an on site Cafe that offers a basic selection of food at very reasonable prices. I loved the position of the Vulcan peeping over the hedge as shown in my photograph. I just wash I had got there earlier so I could take everything in. Well worth travelling to see it. It has the added bonus of being next to an active airport for those who enjoy plane spotting too. Carpark is free and there is plenty of space.
D. A.
Not many places your can go to get up and close to fighter jets. My daughter even got to sit in the cockpit of one. She was fascinated and i thought it was pretty cool too. Wont take you long to walk around.
J. W.
Surly staff don't seem to know how to speak to children
T. H.
Lovely and very friendly little museum. My boy was made up when the man come to let him in the helicopter, and got to live my childhood dream of going in a Vulcan bomber. Love this place
S. N.
Ridiculous amount of content for such a small museum. Lots of aircraft, lots of displays, lots of models, lots of information.
I took half a gigabyte of photos and spent three hours poking around. Well worth a visit.
The only downside is the car park; gravel and potholes, not really suitable for motorbikes.
W. J.
My favourite Air Museum. Not as big as Cosford etc, but fantastic range of aircraft as well as a brilliant display about the invention of the jet engine. Also, don't miss going into the cockpit of the Vulcan!
n. w.
Great selection of aircraft
Friendly staff. Great to be able to sit inside the vulcan and talk to a member of staff while inside it
M. J.
What an amazing place. Very interesting muesum and the staff go out their way to share their knowledge on the aircraft. Climb inside a vulcan bomber and meet the guide who will answer all your questions in a non rushed attitude. Keep the great work up guys.
D. S.
Great collection of planes and helicopters with very knowledge volunteers/staff. When staff around, some of the planes are opened up for you to go into.
d. m.
Really nice place to see aviation history.
A. S.
A small museum in comparison to others such as Hendon and Cosford but everything within is relevant to the history of aviation, particularly to the Midlands. Plenty of "gems", including the Vulcan, the Lightnings and the Electra flightdeck. Staffed by volunteers who are passionate about their interest. As it was a quiet January day when we visited we spent an hour out of the rain in the Vulcan cockpit, talking planes, history and politics with our guide! We had a brilliant visit. Thanks all!
A. D.
Fantastic museum with so much information
R. C.
Nice collection of aircraft, but those outside have really deteriorated over the years. Also with current Covid rules we weren't allowed in any cockpits which used to be the big highlight here. But even though the Covid rules requiring a one way route account for some of the inside hanger layout, a lot of the interior appeared to have become somewhere to dump stuff (pallets piled in the back corner etc). My advice would be to declutter and concentrate on specific strengths/stories: ie Coventry jet engine development (whatever has a Hind heli got to do with anything?), cockpit visits (generally much more accessible than larger museums) and the shop (which is actually better than Cosford).
S. D.
A small well run museum with knowledgeable guides. Has a well stocked bookshop and a range of model kits and novelty items for younger visitors. Also benefits from a reasonably priced cafe. Definitely worth a visit.
D. M.
Easy to find - impressive range of aircraft & associated items from engines to accessories on display. Plenty of informative stuff about aircraft during past years.
A. O.
Quite a few planes to look at. Picnic benches to bring a picnic outside. Small café for cake coffee ice cream. Little shop for models for older children and adults. Some for 3 years +.
a. A.
A lot of history in a small place with Aircraft you can step into. Experience the real thing. Vulcan, Hind, Whittle's jet engine and much more. Kid's enjoyed it. Friendly staff with experience and knowledge.
C. T.
Lovely peaceful place to go. Loved it.
Staff friendly too. This was our 2nd visit and we will definitely be going again.
N. “.
Great place to visit but the 'planes are starting to look very run down. Went couple of years ago as well and don't think they've been cleaned at all since then! Def not looked after as they should be 😕
J. T.
Great informal air museum with some hands on touches you don't get elsewhere. We were allowed to go inside the Vulcan bomber. Amazing. They don't have the range that Cosford do and there is a small entrance fee, but overall well worth a visit.
A. R.
Great place for looking with family!
D. C.
Really friendly and helpful staff, thanks for showing us around. Really relaxed atmosphere.
M. S.
Okay museum, a few planes could do with a bit of tlc, but laid out nicely. Shame a few of exhibits did not work for the children.
A. C.
Amazing Museum about history and informative place
Ю. К.
Very interesting museum
G. E.
So much to see and learn about inside and out. We got to sit in the cockpit of a Vulcan!
The outside display of planes was a treat.
I. S.
I went last July (2017) during my visit to catch up with family members. I live in Australia so this was an opportunity not to be missed. A great collection of aircraft and aviation ephemera. Cafe and shop was good too.
J. C.
Some interesting exhibits and displays. Feels more like a collection of old objects and components than a museum. Good for the price. Most aircraft need a lot of attention, but some unusual aircraft here.
J. C.
Wonderful place of interest and the guides made our visit worthwhile. Facilities were excellent with a great cafe on site. Went with an MX5 owner's club and were given special permission to park near the planes!
i. b.
Not a great amount to see and the exhibits have seen better days, but for less than a tenner entry fee Not bad.
D. R.
Interesting and great place to go if you like planes and Aviation big hanger full of exhibits and a large field aircraft two of which you can go inside including the Vulcan bomber but have to wait for tour guide my only complaint is the price is a little bit steep at £7.75
M. D.
Getting in the Vulcan cockpit was my highlight. This aircraft is so big, hardly believable it actually flies. Quite like the little cafe too. Shop had tons of treasures. Coventry is so rich in aircraft history :)
a. g.
Amazing place, great day out.
P. T.
Staff were great very friendly and helpful. Loads to see and the displays are very informative. Definitely a must see for plane enthusiasts.
N. S.
Donated many years worth of Air Pictorial, Aircraft Illustrated and Aviation News. Very worthwhile to support local museum. Great place to visit anytime
T. E.
Great museum, lots to see, competitive prices.
L. P.
Cracking museum...would like to see them take more care of the outside exhibits, the weather is not being kind to most of the outstanding aircraft there.
J. G.
Brilliant for slightly older children who are interested in aircraft and history. If they're not interested in it then it's a waste of time. There aren't any attractions or rides to entertain them.
M. R.
Pleasantly surprised a lovely morning out
J. W.
IF AIR MUSEUMS are your thing give this one a visit. Its crammed with history,a very good amount of exhibits. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the tea room does nice cakes.
K. R.
Great day out with family relaxed place to be with some very rare aircraft great to finally get inside the vulcan
m. J.
Wow what a hidden gem. Stumbled across this place by chance will definitely be going again. The guide inside the Vulcan was great to listen to his knowledge was amazing.
D. S.
A fascinating slice of aviation history and international collection of planes, lovingly presented by passionate enthusiasts who are rightly proud of Baginton's part in the story of flight.
R. L.
Excellent for the military aviation enthusiast... Lots of well maintained examples of vintage jets to see at close quarters. Good indoor dusplays & a good model & book shop. Cafe also.
H. F.
You'll be pleasantly surprised at the range of exhibits in this small but very interesting museum. Unlike larger museums, you can interact and sit inside some aircrafts. Highlight was getting inside a Vulcan.
m. w.
What a fantastic place to either learn about the jet age and Sir Frank Whittle for the first time or just to see the RAF jets of the past and sit in the cockpit of the Vulcan or walk down memory lane having worked on several of them during my career.
T. B.
I was surprised at the range and number of aircraft at a small museum. The staff were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Had a super visit and will be back again. Super coffee too.
c. p.
nice museum.lots of exhibits and very good value.
c. m.
A great museum with a variety of aircraft and displays.
S. M.
A great day out for the aviation enthusiast. Lots of aircraft I'd never seen before in the flesh. Indoor area needs a refresh bit still a great place to visit.
K. W.
What a super place to visit, we all had such a great afternoon there. Lovely volunteers to talk too as well. Well worth a visit or few visits!! 😊
D. F.
Fascinating museum, staff very knowledgeable and happy to share stories and facts about the planes.
T. C.
An excellent air museum. With Frank Whittle being a Coventry and nearby Leamington lad, it is themed around early jet engines and jet aircraft, particularly aircraft associated with the post war Baggington air field.
The museum has a large hanger chock full of aircraft, engines and assorted bits and pieces and a display on Whittle and a large field outside full of aircraft. Off the top of my head aircraft - Hunter Sea Hawk, Javelin, DH110, Meteor, Vulcan, Lightening, Argosy, Canberra, T33, F104, F86, Gannet, Viscount, Phantom, Harrier, and many more I can't remember!
If a guide is available you can climb into the Vulcan. I've sat in the pilots seat, but last time I went (it is near me) they weren't allowing people into the front seats because some one with limited mobility couldn't get themselves out! Hope they sort that one out and let visitors into the seats again.
A must visit if you are in Coventry.
M. Y.
Great little museum really knowledgeable staff. The cockpit of the vulcan was amazing.
S. I.
Pretty cool planes with lots of history. Has option to sit inside some of them. Sitting inside the Vulcan bomber with an informative guide was a great experience.
m. k.

Interesting museum many rare items, nicely stocked shop with models books etc, helpful staff
R. E.
This is a great Air Museum to visit, great cafe and the staff are very helpful. You can view some of the cockpits and you can even go inside the Avro Vulcan.
C.
Really fun to get to go into a lot of planes, I would say a little bit too expensive for the size of place though I imagine it costs a lot to maintain it all. Very fun for kids and or aeroplane enthusiasts!
G. C.
Great collection and very educational, make sure you sit in the vulcan bomber, a must when visiting.
G. W.
A hidden gem! easily missed when driving past and no indication of the amazing number of aircraft on display. Run by enthusiastic volunteers and definitely not to be missed when in the area.
M. S.
Being able to sit in the aircraft cockpits was magic.
G. T.
Loved climbing in to the planes and helicopters!
G. N.
We had a lot of fun. We had the opportunity to get inside some of the exhibits. Members of staff were very knowledgeable and friendly.
G. W. D.
Great Dog Friendly attraction, dogs are allowed throughout the museum (Both inside and out) a great day out if you like to travel with your dogs, instead of leaving them at home!
R. E.
Lovely afternoon, lots to see and my son loved being able to sit inside the planes and 'flying' them. Helpful, informative, friendly staff, will be going again!
C. J.
Museum was very interesting, great selection of classic military aircraft. Nice model shop and cafe to finish things off!

O. Y.
Great, decent amount of things to see, absolutely worth a trip over
Glad to see it still open and surviving after covid
L. S.
Great visit. My little boy loved it (so did his dad and grandad) and the staff are really friendly. Lovely little cafe too.
j. r.
Awesome place to visit with plenty to see for the aviation enthusiast.
S. S.
Doing a reasonably good job of preserving and restoring aviation history. Museum seems underfunded
R. P.
Some very impressive planes, especially the Vulcan, the Frank Whittle exhibition is also very good. Well worth the entrance fee.
A. P.
This museum has a passion for aviation, especially focussing on the aviation industry based in the West Midlands. The collection is comprehenive and nicely maintained - certainly worth a visit.
A. F.
Quite nice although the aircraft on display were all showing signs of there age,but still a nice place to visit.
P. B.
Very nice. Bit pricy imo
J. H.
An interesting aviation museum. Lots to see inside and out and somewhere to eat and drink too. Lots of parking.
R. L.
My boyfriend insisted on visiting this museum because he adore everything related to the aviation. I tough it would be quite boring for me but surprisingly it was refreshing in comparison with visiting the conventional museums.
R. L.
Great exhibits and explanatory material.
Fascinating history of Whittle and the jet engine.
Lovely, helpful staff.
Tasty snacks and cakes.
D. L. B.
The museum has some good cold war era jets. Plus you can see inside the Avro Vulcan cockpit.
C. C.
Really interesting. I strongly recommend a visit. Enthusiastic volunteer staffe.
