Reviews of Donington Park Circuit
Z. I.
Great staff. They were very welcoming as the first Canadian to be there. Instructors were amazing and professional.
If you are a beginner they have a unique experience for you. This helps in calming you down and not crashing because of nerves.
If you are a professional, the track is beautifully built. It was done twice in the last 2 years. Each year cost 4million. So you can imagine how the track is.
Great place to be and greater place to track.
A. D.
Had a incredible weekend here at WSBK, the place has improved a lot since I was last here. New stand on Hollywood, gives a fantastic view of the first half of the track , plus big screen opposite. Facilities are spotless and was all throughout the weekend even Sunday, Can't wait to return .
K. S. K.
The circuit is quite a cool place to visit when in Nottingham. While the F1 races happen very very rarely, the qualifier rounds do keep happening and it gives quite an adrenaline rush to see young talent braving to get to the professional sport.
You get to see the fast bikes, their riders, large trucks that carry all the support equipment for the teams. It is worth visiting this place when there are some races scheduled. You could verify the schedule for races on the Donington Park website.

Arrived for the BSB round and the process of entering the grounds was effortless. The track grounds are immaculate and well kept. Assess the some of the pits are open to all and you will find everyone friendly. Would I visit again🤔
Definitely
T. C.
Best UK circuit I've been to. Fantastic layout and brilliant views no matter where you choose to sit/stand. Car parking is a doddle, whether you choose to park in the free car park or pay a little extra for Starkey's.
T. D.
I attended the world super bikes meeting.
Bloooming Hot
Keen photographer and i think I got some excellent photos. Was an excellent day. Water at the permanent toilets was free. Not many trade stands.. Covid sorted them out.
P. W.
Great circuit for the opening race weekend for the British touring car championship. The circuit has come on leaps and bounds in the past few years, granted there could be some more improvement. Great day out for the kids watching the cars.
D. S.
Brilliant venue garage 39 food is always good value and fresh cooked. The toilets are clean and well attended to where ever you are around the circuit .
The circuit itself is great for viewing and well looked after with bins for rubbish every where which are regularly emptied
Great day out reasonably priced winner allround
P. W.
Had a 3 lap drive around the track in our own car. Great fun, well organised. Very slow first lap following the safety car, but hotted up the next two laps. Having watched many a motorbike race around here, great experience to have a go in a car ... £30 ... great value.
B. S.
Brilliant day at Download on Saturday. Weather was great. Queues for entrance, food, merch etc were brilliant. Great set up as usual.
Only reason for giving 4 stars was at the end we had to wait in the car park for over an hour before we were allowed to leave. Which was frustrating as we had a few hours drive home. We left 15 mins early to avoid everyone so was not impressed
N. L.
Been to Donington 50+ times for various events but never had the chance to actually race on it.
Had my 1st race there at the weekend for the C1 Racing Club's 2hr Endurance
Superb track! - hats off to the Marshalls for doing a sterling job, especially in the heat.
K. F.
Attended for the BSB, British Super Bikes.
Great weekend, good facilities.
On the camp site there is only one location to go for.fresh water or to empty caravan/camp toilet. Whist the facilities at these pints are good it can be a walk if you are at the far end.
Viewing is available across the full racing site around the track etc...
Viewing from the camp site is also good.
Showers etc good and kept clean. They are single shower units.
Great to walk around the padlocks, bar, food available.
Children go free to this event, just book them as you book your own..due to go back for world super bikes mid July.
Further visit to donnington 14th to 18th July for WSB. Very hot. Fantastic weekend would recommend. Great facilities for campers or caravanning.
Showers, toilets etc... clean and well maintained. Disabled showers and toilets.
p. w.
Attended a great event here and enjoyed the whole experience. Plenty of viewing points around the track. Food outlets available. Great historic racing.
A. S.
Been coming to Donnington for decades now, every thing from rock concerts to car & bike racing. I've always liked it & you can see where all of the improvements are over the years. Good access, good camping areas & plenty of accessories like toilets and showers (we camped on the infield).
My only real complaint is the prices of the food & drinks from the vans.
£2.50 for a soft drink, £8.80 for a hot dog (jumbo or not) £12 for a chicken gyros is outrageously insulting.
Come on Donnington you don't need to let fans be ripped off.
i.
Can't beat Donnington in the sunshine.
Having been to a number of events over the years. never had any issues staff have always been attentive.
Like any Motorsport venue. The staff the Marshall's and the premier race series make the tracks come alive. Here its no different!
A. H.
Absolutely amazing experience on race days! The staff are helpful and friendly. Only one downside is that if you park on Starkeys corner it can be a bit of a walk to all the shops and attractions.
D. M.
Lovely track for spectators I always enjoy the action here. Staff keep public safety a priority. Great day out.
K. R.
Wow, Donnington park, my first visit to watch the WSB, best race experience ever. I camped on the outfield but it's literally a 5 min walk from the far end of the site right into the Hollywood end. Had a seat in the stand there, view was spectacular. The venue is amazing, a lot more personal than bigger places like Silverstone. The pit crews and riders are literally all walking around, tou can stand next to the race bikes as the mechanics are doing their stuff. Staff and stall holders are friendly. Just the best weekend ever. Food and drink is expensive but all the venues are and they have to make their money somehow. Will definitely be returning, whether its WSB or BSB.
T. D.
Brilliant BSB bike racing weekend, amazing talent on show 👍😎👍 event very well organised and circuit one of best in country.. not many trade stalls this year and BIG disappointment- beer pricey (can live with that as trade have to pay high pitch fees) however, food vans extortionate prices( come on guys OK to charge a bit extra, but not double and over high street prices... that's just theft)
J. L.
it was a lovely day out, many things todo to keep you entertained right through the evening aswell, many many beautiful cars and trucks amazing art work aswell on the vehicles. Great to have a picnic and just watch the races all day. You get to watch some cars do some drifting too, alsorts todo, lucky dips and rides, glitter stalls and tattoos for the children.
C. L.
Really enjoy my annual pilgrimage to Donington. Campsite is good and love Cafe 39. Good food and beer at reasonable prices. Excellent viewing circuit. Overall Donington is very well maintained, can't fault it.
C. P.
Went to watch the British superbikes on Sunday was a great experience it's really easy to get around the whole track and you can get pretty close to the action
D. H.
A great place for a family day out, even better if you get it with the sun out! So many viewing areas that are perfect for setting up camp for a picnic and to view the day's races. Well worth a visit.
T. W.
Ive done three track days there in 2021/2022 and the facilities are a lot better since msv have taken over. Onsite fuel with super unleaded and food and drinks. Toilets are generally clean and get checked in the morning and afternoon.
G. S.
Fantastic Race Circuit..! Done a couple of No limits Track day and been a few times to the BSBs..!! Always friendly helpful staff
on race days fantastic circuit viewing access plenty of food and drink stalls
Great on site camping 🏕 🏍😎😁👍🏼
E. F.
Convoy in the Park: Amazing weekend, I went alone and met loads of people, bought loads of stuff for me and my lorry and saw the craziest races ever. And party hard until 2 am at the Dog in the House, I'll be back next year...
a. w.
Fantastic circuit for driving and watching racing. You can walk all around and see the action on every part of the circuit. The Craner curves going downhill to the old hairpin is a spectacular sight!
R. C.
A great circuit with plenty of great viewing spots. We went for the time attack event and the drifting and although it was busy, I wasn't short of spots to get some fantastic photos. A very clean and presentable track with excellent facilities. Would 100% recommend this venue for anybody who has a passion for cars, bikes or motorsport in general. On this occasion there was an open pit lane so you could get up close to the cars and chat with the drivers if they had time. (which most of them were only more than happy to do) overall it was a great day out and I'll definitely be back soon.
R. G.
It was my first time at Donington Park circuit and it was brilliant seeing all the different cars and people but next time I'm going to take my John Cooper works mini on the track. That will be next year
M. C.
A day filming the TCR class with TDi Media. Busy all day so no time to visit food outlets but did manage a walk around the track. Staff and marshals helpful and informative.
D. W.
BTCC was quality! Food and drink prices are mad as to be expected but no issues bringing your own... 👍 Plenty of toilets which is good
R. F.
A great race circuit. Unfortunately, more and more high fencing going in with limited access to many parts of the track. Food and drink are extortionate, which is usually the case. Still well worth a visit.
M. D.
Download Festival was awesome. Loved Iron Maiden. Quite cool how you cross the racetrack to get to it.
K. B.
Supercar Driver event at Donnington. Great circuit with great accessibility to watch anywhere on the track, facilities are really good too, easy to park and walk into the circuit, plenty of food and drink outlets and huge screens to watch the racing around the entire track, amazing place
M. O.
Best racetrack in the UK in my opinion - loads of places to get right next to the action and plenty of excellent vantage points where you can see lots of track. Excellent parking and toilet facilities.
N. P.
Brilliant circuit, a fantastic classic car raceday. Free access to all the priceless classic cars. Excellent organisation
R. W.
Download was amazing. And the rain didn't come down. So rock and sun. Brilliant
s.
Lovely circuit , attended bmw show Sommerfest 👌 excellent event. Highly recommended
C. M.
Went to truck in the park event what a cracking day out and good racing
Very well organised as usual
J. M.
It's a few years since I last visited Donnington, the change since my last visit is amazing! MSV have done a fantastic job updating the circuit and making it far more spectator friendly and clean. Reasonably priced bar for a venue too!
C. O.
This place is an INSANE venue. So much room for vendors and stages. Download 2022 was amazing.
A. D.
Amazing to visit, great views of the track. Very clean and tidy, let's all keep it that way 👍 great day out for anyone into cars.
A. C.
Great weekend at the world super bikes the staff were amazing helping people to stay cool the extreme heat and plenty of water. Plus great racing
R. P.
Visited BTCC, well run circuit with good facilities. Only issue was getting out of car park took over an hour due to stewards not controlling traffic well.
K. G.
Good signage, good parking Etc. VIP Lounge was full of friendly staff that went above and beyond to cater for my needs. Nice day at the track!
D. C.
What a circuit!
Went to see the first round of the BTCC this year and it was cracking. Great viewing from many places and the services were spot on.
Been here 3 times now but the first time camping inside the circuit.
Brilliant weekend
T. S.
Absolutely amazing. One of the best experiences of my life. Every thing you need. Going to try the camping next time
g. b. w.
Great day racing will go again and again a great experience wether good cold to start got better in the afternoon
S. T.
First the at donington park and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of good view points, plenty food stand and merchandise on sale.
D. C.
Classic bike track day,
Absolutely cracking & the weather helped.
Good pit garages & access, helpful staff though everyone seemed new in the restaurant,
There was a good selection of food to choose from,
Back again in a week or so, Yippee
L. G.
Amazing venue for motorsports events. The staff on hand are amazing and the British Superbike Racing today was incredible. The circuit is brilliantly open and there's lots of viewing spots for fans to see all of the action. The radio system is fantastic and the race commentary is comprehensive. The hospitality staff were great too and provide a fantastic atmosphere.
I. B.
Great race track , under EMA flight path. Club up to Btcc and Superbike racing.
C. W.
Excellent action on track as always. On this visit I had my disabled father with me. The disabled viewing area was not something we were aware of but its a great idea. We booked Hollywood grandstand and the Marshall were on hand with a cart to transport us to the other end of the circuit which was a massive help. All staff were very helpful of our needs and did what they could to help. Event was overall a success and we will be returning for the same event again next year.
S. S.
Fabulous race course. Plenty of parking. Getting in easy, getting out when it’s busy can be challenging.
Good views all round.
Decent toilets.
Decent food and drinks at reasonable prices.
Camping Avitabile.
Large pit area is superb.
A few stands to sit in, But could do with a few more.
Overall one of the great classic race circuits of the uk.
J. O.
Great spectators track well organised watched bsb lots to see and get involved in, great weekend👍
k. S.
First time there for the British superbikes, had a great weekend, the views at Sharkeys Bridge and Hollywood were the best.
J. O.
Went to Convoy in the Park yesterday Sat 20th Aug 22, very well attended. Easy parking on the grass, good programme of track events, main pull has to be the truck racing. Legends and pick ups also racing. Hundreds of trucks parked up, just walk around and admire the show. Plenty of toilets, food is on the expensive side, but ok as a treat. Various stands, everything from vapes, key rings, number plates, and clothing. An unmissable day if your into trucks. One of the highlights, you can have a go at driving a truck with Taylor's hgv, all towards charity too, just £12! Well worth it, and what an experience too. A fantastic day out!
Ł. O.
If you looking for something Wonderful, this is the place for you. Perfect Heavy Metal Festival
L. M.
The UK's absolute best race track. Have been to watch the BTCC here now for the past few years and every time, I come away wishing it never ended. Parking is free and ample which is really nice and marshalls are constantly working to make sure entry and exit is as smooth as possible for everyone. The facilities around the track are great - newsagents, merchandise stores, cafes. There is something for everyone. Access to the paddock and pitlane area is great and definitely worth a wander around. Viewpoints around the track are definitely some of the best. There are points on the track where you can see both sides of the circuit at once. My personal favourite is the bottom of the Craner Curves. TV screens on raceday make for great coverage when there is no action in front of you.
M. G.
Had my 1st race at the circuit on Sunday what a great track. The facilities are top notch. Garage 39 the cafe, bar & coffee bar is second to none.
A great experience had by me as a racer & my family that came to watch.
K. W.
Great fast flowing circuit. Good facilities with lots of garages and lots of paddock space. Fuel on site. Clean toilets and great restaurant.
J. B.
Amazing place with fun filled events. No matter what you like there is something on at some point for you.
M. G.
Great for a weekend away with the lads and sons. Take a bicycle and get for a ride around the track after racing has finished, also helps with the amount of distance you have to cover, 30,000 to 40,000 steps a day on average. Same as most of these events food on site from vans is terrible and overpriced. £8.50 for a dirty cheeseburger. Take a picnic, sit on the hill, lay back and relax.
D. F.
What an amazing time we had here. Met some of my all time favourite British and World superbike champions. Looks like they may have more TV screens as was more today than there has been which is great. Will keep my eye on this though. There seemed to be less stalls selling today as well so not sure. Still a great place to go though. Expensive food so take your own if you can. Great circuit good facilities.
M. P.
Awesome Classic Bike Festival
Mick Pennell Racing #12
J. K.
Great place. Great day filled with race action. Big car park, nice place to eat and tidy amenities all across race track.
A. C.
We had a great day on the loop and launch pad, Marcos car event.
P. D.
Great circuit with good easy access and areas where you can easily get a view of the majority of the track. Well resourced with facilities and depending on the event plenty of catering. Attended Convoy in the park, very highly recommended.
r. f.
Great track with awesome views of the racing. Only downside is the food vendors charging massive amounts for not so great food so I would recommend taking your own food/drink.
f.
This is the epicenter of bike racing in my opinion, love it. This visit was for SBK World champs.
A. S.
My spiritual festival home, been here many times for rock festivals, no place like it in the UK :) love love love it!
S. O.
I was at donnington for the Download Festival. It was the best it has ever been for me in a wheelchair. It's great that they are thinking about the terrible weather possability now.
C.
Great place and track. A really well run venue. I'll hopefully be back soon
A. W.
Really enjoyed Convoy in the Park this year.... noticed this year there was more toilets around which was a massive improvement from last year, would be nice to see a few more rubbish bins next year....
M. S.
Been to Donington 7 or 8 times, for BTCC, WTCC and Italian V8's.
Now that they've landscaped the aborted F1 extension, and the infield campsite is up and running, the circuit looks ten times better.
Donington offers some great spectating opportunities now, and (if you don't mind the occasional jet roar) is a pleasant place to watch Motorsport. It's not up their with Oulton or Cadwell, but is easily a better experience than Silverstone.
If you've not been, and you want to watch BTCC, GT or any bikes, it's worth a trip to Donington.
My only grumble is with the afore mentioned infield camping. It carries an additional charge for the pitch when compared to other MSV tracks, even just for tents, and for reserved pitches it still seemed like people were setting up where ever they wanted. Needed a few more toilets to justify the cost, and the delays getting out of the circuit at BTCC 2021 were substantial. The benefits of camping in circuit didn't warrant the expense or time for me, though the circuit bar was good enough to show the footie and it's still better than Silverstone in every respect!
As an amateur photographer, new fencing is never welcome, it's the first time I'd been since the wooden crowd fence has been installed at the chicane, and that extra couple of feet between the catch fence and the camera lens ruins one of the best spots on the circuit to get photos.
P. J.
Well organised went to Down load festival . The only problem is people finding cars in dark . it was East 2 but need more markins need more signs and when parking up staff say your in East ? look for post east 2 row a put on the black and white posts.
I. H.
Had a brilliant track day, I was there to take photos of my son in his 530 bhp Mustang , I did 3 Laps as passenger ( no camera at this point)
The track is stunning and very fast, very smooth with good run offs in most places. Although my son found the one place that's closer to a barrier..I took photos.... The staff were very on the point of no photos of crashed vehicles as this was not allowed ...who knew ?
It was explained to me later why..
I did explain it was my sons car that had bumped and was getting towed away so all was good.
The facilities are good, food was ok but expensive.
I did walk the entire infield area to get a good vantage point for photography. It is a stunning place . Luckily the weather was great.
On site petrol station ..wow £2.07 a litre , but it was the good juice..
Amazing to watch the cars getting unloaded for the weekends race meeting. Lamborghini's everywhere in full race trim...wow
Great to be able to walk through pit lane and go into the pit garages, just to watch and listen to the drivers on the day.
Next time I go I shall hopefully have my own track car..
Great day out
J. G.
Nice race track, lots of walking, could do with some TV screens on the hedge/tree rows of the track so you can see what's going on around the other side of the track!
s. p.
I went to Donington Park on a car track day. The circuit and the marshalls are great, it felt very safe albeit some of the other drivers were a bit too aggressive. It's an experience I definitely recommend! There's a petrol station on site as well as a restaurant with decent prices.
A. H.
One of the best circuits in the UK. Great elevation change, the fast downhill Craner Curves, and a good mix of fast and slower corners.
As is usual at most circuits, sustenance is not cheap, but if you go prepared you should be OK.
If you are an aircraft fan you also have the fun of aircraft taking off and landing directly over the circuit which is always impressive.
M. R.
Great track steeped in British motor sport history. A must for all motor sport lovers. Some great views to take in from the surrounding area. Can't wait to go back.
P. B.
Great day racing, sadly my grandson was taken out.
a. v.
Challenging circuit that seem much simpler than it actually is. Modern facilities well kept. Went there with Classic Sports Car Club for their hallmark well organised meeting. Looking forward to next year at this circuit.
W. T.
The best atmostphere and scenic park view circuit
E. K.
Fantastic track day. Well organised. Would definitely visit again.
D.
I went on a day of car testing for a race the following day. It was my first visit.
Firstly it was almost entirely empty except for the car teams, which I found surprising.
It was very dull while waiting for each session to start.
It was free!!
Cafe was basic in terms of food available.
But was able to roam the entire race track.
With going if first experience.
C. B.
Great national track, good day out for club days and larger races. Expensive food and drink on-site so bring your own if you can. Grandstands give a good view of the track.
g. q.
Great viewing and photography opportunities
Also Great value for food I'm the paddock dinner
D. W.
Looking a lot better than it has for years. Still a bit sparse on the options for food and drink, but the track and parkland looks fantastic. Just need MotoGP to come home now!
T. M.
Great day, lovely cars ,all good.
k. c.
Biggest cars and coffee meet ive ever seen briliant venue for the amount of vehicles that turned up.
P. E.
One of the best motorcycle racing circuits. Good parking great restaurant and Mr Palmer has improved and upgraded the facilities a little more investment and it could host moto gp. Well done Mr Palmer
T. F.
Great facilities for a wonderful day out for both adults and children. As well as watching racing cars we also did a bit of plane spotting as Donington seems to be inline with East Midlands runaway. Fab.
G. H.
Went here with friends on a motorcycle track day. The track is amazing and everyone had a great day. Even got the weather 😁 Some pictures of my friends taken by me with a Canon 7Dmk2 and a 100-400L lens.
S. S.
Great day out with kids. The hospitality was fantastic and very accommodating to my needs.
c. t.
Awesome track,so many different view points where you can see numerous corners. Plenty of food/drink outlets scattered around the circuit.
A. R.
Great experience whatever the event.
On this occasion it was British Superbikes and it didn't disappoint. Some of the facilities are atarting to look a little tired, but I'm sure they will start to update them soon.
W. “. B. T.
Fabulous day watching super bikes with our friends...
They were camping but we just went for the day... gutted to find that we had.. yes... had to be off the site by 7pm as was planning of tea with our friends before leaving.
But got told... nope... we are locking the gates so you have to be off by 7pm.
So no steak supper for us 😭😭
Otherwise totally fab day 🦄💜
L. H.
Not been here for years but really enjoyed the British Super Bikes.
Great views fron any where.
Food from the stalls is tad expensive (£12 for a Kebab).
J. B.
Infield track layout is great. Phenomenal circuit for both cars and bikes. Lots of great places to stand to see a lot of the track.
K. A.
Awesome race circuit to watch bsb but strangely not a great place to photograph them. So much fencing gets in the way! Very expensive catering vans and much improved toilets
J. L.
Good few hours will my little one and nice cafe on site
e. f.
Had an amazing time and a great laugh
C. P.
Loved it, team well despite the cold weather. Marshals are very safe and fast acting. Couldn't fault the place 1 bit.
g. c. -.
Plenty of space, great viewing points and a lovely restaurant.
J. C.
This was my first time at donington since 2004 since I finished being a motorsport Marshall.
A fantastic circuit and fantastic atmosphere for everyone.
Excellent signage within the circuit and facilities improved.
Only neg comment would be if you had a family of 4 wanting food and refreshments this may cost alot more than you thought .
So cool box and BYO .
A. Y.
Visited Donninton Park for the 10th round of British Superbikes and really enjoyed the day, good racing at a great venue, the openness of the paddock and pit lane was a revelation, it brought back memories of the 70s and 80s.
T. V.
Great circuit excellent view at the top of craner curves
E. W.
Great track, which you could walk all the way around. Everything was visible to the public. Definitely going back
G. F. (.
The place wasn't still open to public because the pandemic. However private team were racing. It seems a really organised place and the town's around are little jewels to spend an evening during a track weekend. Waiting for the moment to spend good time there.
K. P.
Fantastic race track with great facilities. Had a great day with the Focus cup team. The bar and restaurant are very well presented and food good.
Seating and views of the track are great for spectators too.
D.
My favourite UK circuit to drive so far. For spectating it's easy to get to the infield which has some good viewing points and the grandstand on the outside of Hollywood (turn 2) has a view from turn 1 all through the Craner Curves and beyond.
The Garage 39 cafe is also good for breakfast.
B. L.
Fantastic challenging circuit. Great facilities, food outlets pricy. High quality food from the Garage 39 Restaurant / Bar. I have been attending there since 1977 it's evolved into a great motorsport circuit. Great racing creates a brilliant atmosphere for fans.
G. P.
Extremely easy to find with good access onto the venue. Car parking was super easy with very polite marshall staff. The ticket price is fantastic and all the facilities on the circuit were clean and well maintained. On-site food was great quality and fairly priced. We had an awesome experience and will definitely recommend it to anyone
R. P.
Decent day out, races were great. Café on site was nice, decent food prices as expected. A little disappointed that the facilities for people living with disabilities are not very well signed posted and had to constantly ask passers by or staff.
C. B.
Great race circuit
J. R.
Love this track and this has to be my favourite British track. We last came here for the BTCC media day and man was this an event to remember the media day is free and gives 4 hours of track action. The access to the pits is just unbelievable the whole days experience is just amazing.
G. S.
Awesome experience, highly recommended. I had a lovely Saturday watching truck races and many other as attractions. You can pretty much explore all the circuit and try viewing the races from different angles. No issues with parking. Decent beer sold. Bring your rain cover. You may want to bring your own chair depending on where you will stay.
C. C.
Great circuit with good views now the banking has been revived. Not many food options other than in the paddock.
A. B.
Great place to visit for a race weekend or any event. The museum has a brilliant collection of rare vehicles. The entry fees are changing from event to event check on the organisers site. The food in Garage 39 is really good compared with similar places on other tracks and the prices are also friendly (coffee for £2,50, main meals £8-10). The track has plenty of toilets (clean and well stocked) plus clean shower facilities for the competitors.
M. B.
Went for a #twittertrackday venue is easy to find from M1, facilities good too,
J. H.
I last visited Donington in the 1980's. A truck race I seem to remember. My visit to the classic event was very enjoyable. Parking was easy, buying tickets was easy. Walked right round the track and onto the infield all while being able to watch the racing. Facilities are very good and the whole site is very clean and surrounded by trees. Added bonus the racing was excellent with good commentary. We will be visiting again.
e.
Lovely classic track, I recommend to anyone who is a motorsport enthusiastic,
P. W.
We love this circuit, who couldn't! A regular haunt of ours, wether that's watching or driving on track, this circuit is superb!
Book with us for you next Trackday, we operate LOW NUMBER OPEN PITLANE trackdays at the majority of UK circuits, for both clubs and corporate trackdays, in addition to running open pit days where everyone is welcome.
A. S.
Great track lots of good viewing areas, only downside it's on the flight path to East Midlands airport so if camping will get disturbed, also price of food a bit steep but suppose they have to make it while they can.
J. G.
One of the best circuits in the country. You can view from everywhere without an extortionate grandstand seat.
T. R.
Fantastic race circuit, great location, not far from the M1, within minutes of the East Midlands airport. The trackside facilities are immaculate and very well kept. Incredible to think you can drive the Grand Prix circuit the legend Ayrton Senna still holds the track record for. Hallowed ground for any fans of Senna. Certainly more challenging than you think!
D. W.
Great circuit, excellent facility. Really very good.
C. A.
Absolutely love this track. The infield camping makes life so easy and viewing is fantastic from the top. Always go for BSB. Can't wait for next season.
L. H.
We did Download for the day on Saturday. Toilets were surprisingly clean with ongoing cleaning throughout the day and no massive toilet queues as per the norm. There was a good varied selection of eating outlets although food and drinks were extremely extortionate. Recommend Eat Greek for value for money compared to the hog roast and the macaroni stall. Free drinking water refill stations where there we queues. Good sound quality this year.
L. H.
Excellent experience so good to back after lockdown
G. M.
Great for download and toilets exceeded my expectations. Finally they get it right. Also Caribbean food was fantastic. The miserable looking woman on the chicken and chip stall needs to do something else somewhere else. Fab line up.
'. F.
Still one of the best circuits in the country, very easy to get to, parking close to the gates, and great viewing spots for all the corners.
K. H. (.
I was here for the Download festival, it was nicely organised with a relaxed atmosphere, despite their being armed police with extra security measures in place this actually put my mind at ease considering the current climate. All the staff were friendly and helpful no matter what time of day or night it was. There was no trouble witnessed the whole weekend!
A. H.
Went here for the 2021 Download Pilot festival. A great site for a smaller festival with everything close together. A great selection of UK bands across two stages.
R. B.
Great place we'll set out great people and service great venues
S. W.
Great venue for a festival. We'll laid out with clear consideration of the environmental impact and promotion of recycling/ getting water on tap. Toilets were clean even on the Sunday. Staff were helpful on the access platforms. All on all great!
S. T.
Absolutely loved our day at Donington Park, Sons 1st race meet, he managed most of the day.
L. V.
Great day out at BTC, great stalls, plenty of food outlets. Great for kids, will definitely be coming back next year
M. O.
Love racing at this track. Facilities are great very clean all round. It's a must to do track race or track day. Restaurant Is amazing thy have a stand with old motorcycle and old f1 car in side. Must take a generator if you don't get garage. Bad point track is at end of airport! You will hear them thro the night if you stay over night. But you do get used to them.
m. s.
One of the best circuits for motorsport. Excellent viewing areas and immaculate facilities all round.
P. C.
It's getting so much better since MSV took over.
But not yet up to the very fine standards of Brands Hatch for example.
D. P.
Amazing world superbikes WSBK. So many places to watch the races, each having different advantages in terms of how close you are and likleyhood of overtakes\ crashes. Many food stalls + shops and plenty of toilets. Everything was run very smoothly. You even got to talk to the riders on the pit walk on the first day! Great course, great event and great races!
v. a.
Many racetracks are converted airfields and, as a result, are quite flat. Donington is a fantastic location as from the infield you can almost see the whole track, the castle, the old bridge, the beautiful surroundings. It is rather steep and incredibly flowing, perfect for watching historic Jaguars glide within delicate plumes of smoke. Add to that the history and it becomes a must see place.
L. M.
A great place to sit and watch. Went for the vintage cars last Sunday. Superb cars and nice owners willing to talk about their cars. Shame it rained. The entry staff were really helpful and looked after us a treat so thank you to them. Definitely going back again, in fact back again next week if the limbs hold up.
A. S.
Track is very open and easily accessible. It's great to be able to walk amongst the competitors at some events. Impressed with the improvements made to toilets and increased dining options. Lovely views from everywhere on the track.
C. B.
Only been here for download festival but loved every.minute if it
R. C.
Facilities have been much improved since last time I went. Near the paddock there is a very good cafe. Reasonably priced food and drink.
T.
Overall the experience watching the bike racing was good, however sleeping at night may be slightly difficult due to the location which is very close to an airport. Overall a good experience which isn't effected much by planes.
L. L.
Attended download festival here, great venue with perfect facilities
D. H.
One of Englands most iconic racing circuits, easy get around the infield and outer track roger a really good view of the action. Good facilities and wheelchair friendly.
b.
Brilliant day/night at Download.
Only minus is the car park. An absolute shambles to get out.
D. R.
I can only comment for the event we attended but the facilities were great and there was plenty of staff around. We attended JapFest and being honest it's not as good as the one at Silverstone but we still had fun. I want to come back to donington now to do some track days after looking at the track layout etc as it looks like a fun circuit. Nice track in a nice countryside setting with decent facilities.
A. R.
Alot of areas are closed off due to COVID restrictions (paddock, cafe, main foot entrance) with very little in the way of signage or wayfinding. Launch Pad is the best place to view with the current restrictions in place
B. C.
Great two days racing at a great circuit.
T. C.
Visited a Vintage Sports Car Club meeting. Some excellent machinery and an excellent track. Pity the weather wasn't kinder as the powerful cars had difficulty getting traction. Much improvement and investment since my last visit about 5 years ago.
M. T.
Very good facilities, nice toilets especially for us 🚺 ladies.
Cafe/restaurant does decent food.
Good viewing areas, all in all a good circuit to visit.
M. P.
Really loved watching the btcc here plenty of good places to watch the racing
G. C.
Here at Download, which I last attended as monsters of rock. Facilities are better these days!
V.
Great race track, been here several times and have found good views from most areas, easy to travel around and good hard racing.
Has good facilities with toilets not too far away. While most food is good quality, it's very expensive for what it is. Overall would recommend for a day out.
I. B.
Wow museum was great so much F1 history. The ww2 museum pieces were an added bonus . Staff friendly and helpful. A petrol heads heaven. Got to say even the enjoyed it she hates F1. Well worth the 3 hour drive.
D. B.
If you're interested in Military Vehicles and F1 and other racing cars, then it's worth a visit. Very well layed out, modern, clean and tidy, well looked after and with an excellent coffee shop selling hot and cold food. Nice gift shop also.
T. G.
Amazing track, absolutely love it. Brilliant atmosphere and surprisingly good food
A. F.
Stopped on the infield camping site. Good facilites, clean portable showers etc. Expensive food but overall a good experience. If you camp here for an event then please take ear plugs if you want to sleep as planes fly low overhead as your right next to east midlands airport.
I. M.
Was here for Download festival 2019.
It’s well organised, weather was poor but everything ran smoothly for how torrential the weather was.
Who doesn’t love some metal music with occasional sunshine!
N.
Best spectator views on any British circuit! Went to Donnington this year for first time for WSB, great facilities, great choice of food and entertainment. Camped on outfield, bring climbing equipment to get up the hill to circuit though!! Also, only 6 portaloo on whole of outfield camping and guess where they put them? At the bloody top!! Overall though an excellent event and venue, roll on next year and infield camping 😆
G. G.
Went for WSBK weekend. Great weekend, camp site was well run with clean showers and toilets. Only thing I would say is there could have been more food variation. Everything was fried food.
The Ducati Owners Club GB 916 anniversary display was amazing. Well done.
P. B.
Great small circuit with lots of good places for watching races. I just wish there was tunnel to access the North side of the track without having to go to the pits.
D. C.
Easy to get to, plenty of parking, had a fantastic day watching motor racing, very well layed out for spectators
J. M.
Top class track. Best flowing race track in the UK to race on. Some world class events worth visiting like World SBK and more. 10/10
K. 3.
Donington is a really good circuit for general supporters of motorsport. It has a natural amphitheater with views of large parts of the circuit. Organisation of entry to the event is very good. It lost a star only because it doesn't have international motorcycle racing anymore but BSB is there more than once a year and is well worth attending.
p. c.
Helpfull staff . Toilets kept clean. Awesome places to view all the racing action.
H. K. A.
First time at Donington Park (Gp circuit) and first time on a bike, what a great track, fast, lots of challenging and fun corners, slow hair pins and fast straights. Great set up, nice and clean.
S. T.
The last time I was on the track at Donnington there was no Melbourn loop 🤪. Kawasaki ninja 636 then, this time I was on my Triumph Daytona 765 MOTO 2. Certainly a difference.
J.
WSB day. What a great day out. Took a picnic but plenty of choices for food/drink. Plenty of toilets around and clean surprisingly for the amount of people that day. Book tickets on line as cheaper than the gate.
J. E.
Amazing weekend, definitely recommend.
C. H.
If you love your racing then your love Donnington. Went on the hottest day of the year so was a bit scorched lol. Plenty of areas to park your backside up. Large motorbike parking area and friendly staff.
T. F.
Went to British round of WSB, great weekend helped along with the amazing weather. Having the campsite in side the track was great, lots of good viewing areas and a few large screens so you don't miss any of the action. Loved the relaxed atmosphere at Donnington, all staff very helpful and friendly, never had to wait long for toilet or shower which were being regularly cleaned. Only small gripe was airport next door with planes taking off early, so no lay-in.
It's been many years since I previously visited Donnington and very glad I came back, would high recommend it.
d. w. (. f.
If you like F1 cars and military history this is a great day out. You can even go and watch cars testing on the circuit. Obviously not F1 cars only £12 to get in and the cafe is very reasonable
D. G.
Took my rs to the RSOC national day at Donnington as its local to me. Great track to spectate at, great view of the straight from the Grandstand. Im told its a good track to drive but I'm yet to go round myself.
g. l.
First time visiting the circuit for the weekend..
Very good atmosphere, people really friendly and plenty to do..
Went to watch wsbk uk round, had pit lane passes aswell...
Really enjoyed the whole experience..
Will definitely visit again...
G. C.
One of the best race circuits in the UK 👍
S. B.
Watched 750 racing , Marshalls were brilliant , and racing was nice , loved that you could see track from loads of places , only thing did not like was an 99er ice-cream was £5
S. W.
Best weekend I have had since last time I was there in 2019 world Superbikes and BSB is one of the best events you can never go out brilliant me my pal love this weather is brilliant recommend to anyone you will not be disappointed
J. F.
My favourite circuit in the UK to do Trackdays. A fabulous venue to spectate and see all kinds of Motorsport. A definite 5/5 for me.
G. C.
Never been before. Saw all the racing and get some pictures and managed to see some aeroplanes flying over as well. Hopefully come back again
M. G.
Visited Superbike city to view there vast collection of motorbikes if you were in for a used bike this is a must place to visit.
+ Factory heads cafe excellent food and drinks with very friendly staff.
M. B.
No fuss getting parked, plenty of wcs, though some could do with new drainage... Would be nice if the small circuit was inside the big circuit.
R. S.
Here for Download Festival. Think I'm only giving it a 5* review because it didn't downpour with rain this year!
S. B.
Amazing circuit for trackdays, properly fast flowing corners, for me from Hollywood through Craner curves to the end of Coppice was really satisfying when you hooked the corners properly.. I will be coming back
T. S.
Well done to the organisers, they have done a really great job with relation to Covid-19. But the racing is always good at Donington. 😀
w. c.
Not quite 5 stars, it's a cracking venue to meet up, but it's expensive and the portion sizes aren't generous on the plated meals, the sandwiches are more than adequate. I've been several times now so there must be something.
ps .. NO DOGS ☹️
A. I.
See a bit of the circuit but I was there for download 2022 and that was banging!
J. N.
Good viewing from most parts of the track, and easily accessible. Bit of a pain getting out on race day, but that's standard for a large event.
D. G.
Parking could certainly be better. But no different from any other circuit in that regard. Food is horrendously overpriced, why? They'd sell far more if it was reasonable .
Viewing is pretty good though, more seating would make the venue more attractive to those less able to stand for hours.
D. C.
Great weekend fantastic circuit some great racing in all classes good entertainment at night with 4 bands performing and the weather was red hot what more could you ask for
T. H.
MSV are pumping a lot of money into this circuit and it is fast becoming a Northern equivalent of Brands Hatch in terms of facilities.
One of the best drivers circuits in the country - I hope it continues to flourish
G. T.
What an awesome place plenty of places to get a good veiw and easy to get around
G. B.
Racing and Marshalls on point as ever.
Cafe decent enough but like every other circuit always feels overpriced.
Toilets not the best and in some areas not accessible.
N. B.
Great day at 750Motorclub event on Easter Monday. We went especially to see the Bikesport events...lightweight cars with motorcycle engines. Photo is the AB Performance Sabre no 86 fitted with a Honda Fireblade 1000cc engine. Day made even better by the great weather. Smooth arrival, lots of parking spots. We used the Garage 39 bar & restaurant for lunch, scampi, chips & peas at £8.00 jacket potato, tuna & sweet corn same price. Clean, modern facility. The whole circuit has been improved over the years and, if the weather is good, is an ideal place for any motorsport enthusiasts.
A. W.
Good day out food is expensive and they are trying to improve the circuit and facilities. Put the bridges back. Merchandise all moved from the centre of the infield to a tiny bit of Redgate. Hardly anything there, certainly not worth the long walk.
J. R.
Good view of the track and a good day out if you are into motor racing. Friendly staff and young kids don't have to pay to get in.
B.
A great circuit both for spectators and drivers. I watched BritishGT here followed by a track day and had a brilliant weekend.
c. o.
It was a good venue. But the dust omg did a truck show there last weekend and i polished and polished but the dust from the access roads just made it impossible to keep it clean .
P. R.
Always great here! Circuit staff and volunteers friendly, helpful, passionate about motorsport!
Here for BRSCC Mazda and 750 motor club sport trophy, very cold but mostly clear day, track conditions are tricky but that is part of the fun here at Donington Park!
Circuit facilities are good, though the showers could do with a clean and de-spider, eek!
c. b.
Over priced really £25 , cars are loaners so ,as when we went ,most I wanted to see were out , but still had good amount ..
Had odd f1 cars and big show of williams, mclaren, force India...
So ring them up if after a car that it shows in pics as may not be there at time..
We then moved onto watch open day on track ..(bikes) ...
I personally was disappointed as always thought much bigger than was...
J. H.
Great day's bike-race viewing. Access areas good & plenty of services available.
p. A.
Had a great time .One off the bucket list
n. S.
Great place to go we went to see the truck racing although it was busy there was still plenty of room to move around with my crutches
I. D.
Brilliant race circuit, gets better every time we go, nice to see a company spending money and putting something back into British motor racing.
L. S.
Booked through MSV track days. Awesome day. Good staff. The instructor was very helpful and well worth the money. If your visiting for the first time or its your first time on track an hour with someone who knows the place is very helpful
R. G.
Another excellent day at Donington Park. A great circuit for track days and racing.
The cafe is a bit pricey so a brin a sandwich
G. M.
Great day out watching the car racing nice food good price and it was really good walking round the track
M. P.
Brilliant circuit for racing and great to see it back in all its glory. It has recovered from the F1 fiasco and looks really good, upgraded spectator areas and toilets, plus new tarmac in the paddock. It looks a little strange with white and red barriers, rather than the blue it was, but still brilliant overall.
L. L.
Talking only about the museum, I think it was spectacular a few months ago. Now, all the McLaren, Williams and Ferrari were removed fro the collection. You will be able to see some Jaguars, Force India, Toyotas and some very nice vehicles used during the world war 2. Due to all of this, they have reduced the price for 6 pounds.
P. W.
Had a great day at donnington park circuit for tunerfest, would definitely recommend the view from the grandstand on the Hollywood bend if you can get a seat for the racing.
We stayed at the kegworth hotel only a few miles away. Cheap, good size room, comfy bed and breakfast set us up for the day.
D. a. S. S.
Great track but take your own food as is expensive. Good viewing areas and plenty of toilets available.
D. M.
This is one of my favourite race circuits fantastic events held here it's easy to access and plenty of parking food and drinks are on par with other places like this
D. S.
A very good cafe infact the best, and bikers clothing check it out
T. D.
Best race track in UK, facility's getting better every year
D. D.
Since the noticeable improvements the new toilet blocks etc. The circuit is more spectator friendly. Great racing.
L. B.
I'm not a lover if bikes but went to British superbikes as my husband is. I quite enjoyed watching it for real. Totally different and exciting too. Food prices in garage 39 not too bad. Easy to get to. Gd visit.
I. T.
The circuit is great and there is decent refreshments available in the paddock. The only downside is the jobsworth staff on the gate.
F. M.
BSB Test Day, glorious weather, not too busy,
SBK FP 1&2 ditto
C. W.
Great circuit, good quality amenities consistent with other MSV circuits. Easy to get to and lots of space within the grounds. Attended time attack and tunerfest, well worth it!
S. H.
Great circuit, fantastic views of the track. Great events and nice prices
L. L.
Went for a track day and had a fantastic experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and the staff were lovely.
J. M.
Great little circuit, helpful staff, food was decent too not the cheapest but have seen worse
R. S.
Great place, good atmosphere, just needs some clearer signage to get around the circuit.
S. G. C. C.
The racing was great, the circuit is well looked after, the food and other attractions were extautiontly expensive
G. G.
Attended a trackday here, brilliant circuit, great facilities, ladies checking us in were really helpful and friendly.
S. A.
Amazing atmosphere and amazing people
M. A.
Really good track , went 2 years ago & hope to be back soon
P. W.
Great circuit loads of good viewing areas in either a grandstand or for free on one of the many embankments plus a lot of significant improvements since the MSV takeover highly recommended also the tarmac bike park at the rear of redgate corner is great..
P. P.
Wow, what a place to race. Had a great weekend here with No Limits Racing. Facilities were excellent, the weekend ran like clockwork and we had great weather
D. S.
WSB was good , the price of food at the circuit was pricey £4 for coffee £12 for burger chips but can take your own stuff , toilets were good at the Hollywood stand as was location to food , hard parking for bikes behind the stand ,
L. S.
Download festival 2019 well this was a completely different experience to the previous year of glorious sunshine, we had some of the worst rain download has seen, and the ground took its toll on us all, but that didn't dampen our spirits we braced the cold the wind and the rain and stayed strong, and was another epic year for us at Download getting to see an awsome amount of bands, with alot of laughs and nearly some tears cant wait to do it all again next year, with hope on improvement to the toilet situation.
f. 1.
Went to download 2022... a wonderful experience with many great people from all backgrounds... a fantastic music experience... I'll definitely go again... the only downside was the walking distance from parking to the camp site... but it's all part of the experience... and make sure to take sun cream on those warm days (wish somebody would've reminded me and my m8 that)...
L. M.
I went during a test track day so not really busy. Some interesting cars on the track to watch during that time. Very good food at the restaurant but quiet pricey. Not a massive selection so worth taking a picnic. Plenty of space for kids to run around and tire themselves out if that is what you are aiming for.
m. 9.
We had a great time and the show was superbe. I will definitely recommend and come back to the Japanese car show.
S.
Nice place to go and visit. Superbike factory is worth a look around too if you're there
D. D.
Great track day. Quite quick so plenty of 'offs' which meant red flags and time wasted due to recovery. Fuel is available on site. Not really a novice track due to high speeds.
J. D.
Great classic car museum including iconic cars driven by some of the best formula 1 drivers in history such as Niki Lauda and tributes to Ayrton Senna and cars from the wars the circuit is very good defiantly more challenging then silverstone and races often happen so paying for museum covers for the race aswell i have gone here on multiple occasions and have enjoyed it every time especially on the rare occations when they do classic car races going from the first racecar to modern day. I would highly recommend to any car/race enthusiasts
J. S.
I didn't go on the circuit I went to work at Download Festival and work for the coop shop , best experience I have ever had will definitely apply to work again next year , everyone was so helpful and friendly ! Thanks for all team for making it such a great time.
I. B.
Great track with plenty of good in field viewing.
M. J.
First time at this track as I am a season pass holder at Cadwell Park , good facilities, good viewing areas and plenty of parking. Tunnel was a little tight at podium time but it was the touring cars, it’s probably half empty for club racing, will definitely return
W. w.
So much better now its owned by msv, clean tidy and we'll presented
T. H.
Great breakfast, racing on the TVs, biker shop next door... What more could you ask for?!
V. K.
Download was amazing! Even in the mud and rain we had a phenomenal time. The music was out of this world, the food vendors were plenty and all looked and smelled amazing, what we did eat we loved and the atmosphere was something I don't think I could ever describe with words.
S. R.
Easy to get too and get around.
Plenty of facilities. Only problem was getting off the car park at the end.
P. L.
Here for Download 7th year in a row. Wet or shine hot or cold always a pleasure. Download organising can vary but that is on them.
J. W.
So many upgrades to the venue since I last visited a few years ago. Toilets are now at almost every extremity of the circuit and the viewing areas are well looked after. Bars and food points are dotted around the place at very frequent points too.
Very well organised from parking up to leaving especially with the new road infrastructure.
k. l.
Well equipped, pretty, and historic GP circuit in center of England.
S. H.
I have driven a Donington but had never spectated.
Unlike some circuits, it's possible to get excitingly close to the track in places.
Equally, the view from the Hollywood stand and grassy hill let you see almost the whole circuit.
It's a well run, exciting and accessible motor racing circuit.
M. S.
Great track. I was here to watch the thunder sport motorbike racing series. Was well run and was great to watch. The tigers children motorbike display team also performed in the lunch break which was great to see the kids to their amazing riding, stunts and jumps
J. M.
Fantastic, thank you Ducati UK for organising a great day
S. H.
Went to watch the opening rounds of the BTCC today, great racing from all including the support races.
Fairly priced entrance fee for a good day out at £36 on the gate.
Plenty of stalls and toilet facilities throughout the venue and everything is well signposted.
r. c.
Fantastic circuit and facilities albeit eye-wateringly exspensive for any food and drink once inside. Recommend maybe a small packed lunch so only eating from the vendors for 1 meal. Between 10 - £15 for most meals.
C. T. (.
Brilliant track - Praga today had some great racing to finish the season!
G. 1.
Lots of events held here we went to a car racing event which was a really good day. Parking was surprisingly easy given such a large event. There could be more options for food which would reduce the wait till but otherwise a clean and family friendly day out to get up close to cars.
R. B.
Download festival is by far the best festival I've ever been to. There is always this misconception that rock and metal heads are all devil worshiping lunatics but that's just so far removed from reality. I've never had any issue here. Everyone is kind, considerate, and friendly. I've gone a few times and even took my 12 year old daughter this time, which she absolutely loved. The event is well organised and always has a real mixture of rock and metal for all tastes. The food stalls are great quality with plenty of variety for all. Will definitely go time and time again. 666.... HAIL SATAN
p. c.
Great camping whilst watching bsb, decent sized pitches, portaloo's serviced everyday. Good views of the track from the camping area. Just missing some entertainment on an evening, some live bands wouldn't have gone a miss. Campsite bar was buzzing, not even agadoo could stop everyone dancing! 🤣
M. H.
Another great weekend spent at Donington Park for the BTCC round. First time the kids have been to a race track and the open paddock, clean loos and catering booths scattered around the paddock and Hollywood area were all good. The food was pretty pricey but nothing a homemade lunch can't fix. The grandstand seating is good when bringing kids you're guaranteed your viewing spot and saves little one being on your shoulders all day. The racing and weather were good and we had a great day out!
T. L.
Flew in from America for my trackday! It was immense! What a track!!!! 7 stars!
S. D.
Absolutely brilliant day out as always. Staff very helpful as always. Food vans expensive but you expect that. Take your own food and drink if possible
B.
Great day watching the Historic. Generally an excellent day. Might be a good idea to have more than one person serving coffees in the main restaurant snacks section. Felt he was doing an excellent job but needed back up!!!
R. C.
MSVT road bike only trackday at one of my favourite circuits. Very well organised and run. Riding standards in the advanced group were pretty good, no wannabe heroes allowed. I've done a few trackdays before, this was my first on a S1000xr, it was more than adequate; hero blobs snapped off in the morning and footrest ground away in the afternoon 😀. That's my mate on the red XR following me, it was his first time at Donington, he loved it as well.
H. H. a. M. L.
Good access around the track to the best viewing areas. Recent upgrades in food provision are very welcome
G. B.
Great day out at BSB,and Convoy in the park.Decent food in Garage 39.Never had any complaints.
C. M.
Went here for Download Festival, amazing gigs!
A. K.
One of the best Circuits in the UK. Glorious
S. M.
Great circuit, need your walking shoes though
D. L.
Excellent venue for fest. Bands were awesome. Food and drink overpriced. Great time had by all, but walking and dragging camping equipment was a bit much for some of us
M. S.
Great circuit encouraging some fast exciting racing. Excellent amenities and atmosphere at superbike events especially.
M. K.
Rocked up for the BSB meeting in May 2022. Concession for us old fogies much appreciated! Been coming here since the 70's and always enjoyed the viewing and facilities. Security in bike park seemed very good and well organised.
K. W.
Watched a track day, good fun for youth and fans of cars.
V. V.
Well run multi purpose venue although disabled drivers should be aware that some events are first come first serve in regards to parking so best to arrive early
M. J. R. (. M.
Download festival located in Derby, at the donington racecourse circuit.
I took my 15 year old daughter who has disabilities to see band's Skillet and Korn.
The layout had changed from my last visit, lot's of new additions added, glamping sites ect, information, directions and signposting around the venue need updating.
We had to walk from drop-off and collection point located at the other end of the venue in order to get to the main stage area, this was really tiring and stressful and unless you register your ticket as a person with disabilities you cannot access any of the amenities even with your personal prof of disability.
We watched people been dropped off and collecting, parents parking their car and walking off to meet up, but we was told we wasn't allowed to wait whilst my husband and I was checking out hotel reservation, I have two disabilied children ( twin's) only one was attending this event, whilst I took my daughter, my husband took her sister to a hotel near by.
I didn't feel like I was given good assistance when I asked for help, one member of staff told me that the official merchandise stall was Infact back in the village lol, I'm glad I didn't take him at his word. Coming away from the venue we cut across the airstream trailer park and onto the main road saving us from walking over a mile from the drop off and collection point, unfortunately you would not have been able to get back into the venue as this requires you to have your tickets scanned by the one ticket check point located over half a mile away from the main staging area.
The official download merchandise was dated with the year 20.21 with a Christmas motif. There was no official merchandise for Korn or Skillet. We literally stayed two hours before leaving because my daughter and myself was just too tired to walk around looking to check out the rest of the festival, a little disappointing when you pay £100 each ticket.
I also witnessed a couple of people take a really bad fall from tripping over large stones and cobbles that changed the original packaging area to the grassy areas, no signpost to caution, big cobbles just kicked over the grass and pretty dangourse to the pedestrians trying to get from either side of the venue.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was some serious injuries due to this.
Overhaul the band's was great!👌🏼
M. B.
I marshal here and its such a great day and get to meet lots of different people with the same passion for motor racing!
D. T.
We weren't there for racing but for the Download Festival so this review may be more about the organisation of that event rather than the place itself!
First the good - the layout made for excellent views of the various stages and the number of outlets for food and drink kept the queues surprisingly short(ish)
I expected problems with the toilets as that is a notorious festival problem but didn't expect them to be so disgusting on day 1!
Leaving the venue was a nightmare as on the first two nights there were no car parking marshalls to be seen. This resulted in sitting in the queue without moving for over 90 minutes on one night - pretty poor for an event that has been going nearly 20 years!
L. E.
Good parking, clean and tidy with fantastic racing in the BTCC
D. C.
Amazing place although this time it was host to DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL
J. C.
What a great weekend, those riders sure have the minerals! Donington did their selves proud, good toilet blocks, clean thankfully in the weekend heat.
M. S.
We Visited the Donnington museum to see many formula 1 cars and military memorabilia. The old military bikes and cars were like new, fantastic. You can see the racing cars from the different teams and the history of the drivers. You can take photos as u walk round and there's a good cafe. A good day out.
C. S.
Amazing track to ride, super fast and felt really safe. Good facilities and well run.
K. H.
Wicked place to visit great day out matched with good food and falicitics..
M. P.
Great place great venue😎
G. T.
Great circuit. Relaxed vibe and good facilities.
E. I.
Came on Sunday 17th July to see the world superbikes it was my first time to donnington and it was absolutely amazing enjoyed my day was unbelievable will be a regular from now I think
s. H.
Very good place
Programs for the wsbk were expensive and only included 50 percent of the Riders information, ie the national races were not included and there was to much time lost between races like up to an hour of track inactivity .
Dont think I will go to the wsbk again.
J. H.
Donnington Park hosted Download 2022 and what an amazing festival. Having waited so long it lived up to expectations. Hope planning next year improves the flow of buses and taxis which I personally experienced the very long wait for taxi. Separate entrance and exit for each if possible may ease this next year. Overall a great venue and amazing 3 days. 20th anniversary next year. 4 day event. Can't wait.
D. H.
One of the best tracks in the world for driving, riding or spectating. If you like motorsport you need to go here.
R. M.
Best circuit in the Midlands, just a bit awkward to get out of, but then most cicuits are
R. L.
Brilliant organisation, with the spectators at the centre of the operations. Facilities are a marked improvement on other motorsport venues.
G. P.
Download Baby! Drownload, Downpour, Brownload, whatever you’d like to call it, it is always a fun weekend. I cycled here with the Heavy Metal Truants raising money for 3 charities and it is always a hoot.
The circuit was nicely opened up this year to walk from production to the main campsite which took quite a distance off the journey which was nice.
j.
As always great venue, great weekend racing we will be back soon
D. W.
Excellent weekend watching the racing good quality services 10 tin with brilliant can't wait for next year
S. J.
Always a good day out at the races. The facilities are brilliant. Only down side food a little experience.
A. F.
Great race circuit. You can only appreciate how good it is riding it. Highly recommend a track day there. Will revisit time and time again.
C. C.
Just a great race track and excellent staff we come here many times during a race season
H. W.
Busy place at the BMW Car Club Sommerfest.
Cafe was, also busy but good. Quick service.
E. W.
I dropped off and picked up my son for the download festival . The stewards were really friendly and helpful and there was a lovely atmosphere. I felt totally safe there doing the pick up alone .
R. F.
Really fantastic day out with friends !!!! One of which (Richard Ashmole) won a well deserved place on the podium !!!!
E. v. d. K.
Great job by all the officials and marshalls. Thanks for an awesome weekend!
R. Y.
Donington Park has always been a great venue for motorsport, but the improvements made in recent years under MSV ownership have elevated this world class circuit even more. Always a great atmosphere, amazing views from the Hollywood grandstand, Starkey's Bridge embankment and infield. One of the best motor racing circuits in the country with a fascinating history. Everyone must visit at least once. You'll not leave disappointed.
M. F.
Just had a great weekend @ the super bikes . It's like a circus comes to town if you are taking the kids you might want to take ear protection
G. W.
Friendly helpful staff , I was on crutches so we were parked at disabled area , picked up by buggy and taken to our designated area and then picked up and dropped back at car ....now I know everyone has this option for a lift but it really was a godsend for me ..
M. T.
Great museum for F1 cars some army vehicles. Places to sit and watch TVs showing car related clips
I. I.
One of my favourite tracks to ride and now spectate. Watched wsbk and was blown away how fast they were.
L. W.
Been a few times to various events, the latest being the Historic Festival 2019. Feels much better since the recent refurbishment work with the new cafe area etc, although I do miss the grandstand next to the starting grid. Best views are probably from the infield where there's no metal fences obstructing.
D. K.
Attended the Formula E pre-season testing, which was free entry. Unfortunately the heavens decided to open the night before meaning the plastic seating in the "grandstand" (bit of scaffolding with folding seats on top) was soaked. No worries, we're British and used to sitting on our coats! It's definitely something to keep in mins though.
We were advised to get there early to ensure we'd get seating. Definitely not the case, we could have easily had another three hours in bed and still got a seat. That aside, it's far more entertaining to wander around the track for some other perspectives rather than just sit at the start/finish line and catch the same view over and over.
You could opt for a lunch time pit walk for £5 each. Unless you really know the teams you're going to be seeing, it's probably not worth it, my experience was not really getting a close look ay anything due to the sheer number of people they'd allowed through at one time, with the occasional glimpse of a driver or crew member eating their lunch. Still interesting to take a glimpse at the cars though.
Not a fault of the place, but a warning for anyone wanting to give Formula E a look as a free day out, it's SLOW. Top speed is 140mph and 60 takes 3 seconds. Must be slightly embarrassing for the sport their vehicles are slower than cars consumers (with enough cash) can buy and use on the road.
R. D.
Love this place both riding and spectating.
M. C.
Great track fantastic viewing areas, well organised and great atmosphere.
R. D.
Excellent place, well organised remember one thing tho where you parked your bike.I made the mistake of nit lining up something with the row the bike was in
The bikers were very helpful as usual ,will be back.
C. T.
Had a great day here with Mazda academy learning about the Mazda brand. The circuit is amazing and the staff were all really helpful. Not a actual picture of the circuit bur this was in one of the conference suites where we were and this is one of the cars we were learning about. Car parks were easy to park in and the signs around the circuit are really helpful to direct you around
D. B.
Was there for ford rs owners club national day.
Marshals and staff did a great job, and all amenities could Need.
J. S.
Excellent circuit and excellent facilities, my new favourite local track by a good margin. Will be back when it's sunny next time fingers crossed 😅
s. s.
Historic Festival. Great entertainment. A huge queue to get in with a classic car with quite a lot overheating. Otherwise, great.
N. A.
Super bikes makes a great pit stop for a great coffee.
J. M.
Great circit. Found that the best views are from the infield area. Facilities are good, food and drink isnt too expensive
N. M.
Excellent views on track, food is mildly overvalued.
a. p.
Great place for motor sports fans .atso has a f1 museum . it's great to see the difference in f1 cars over the years
S. D.
The circuit is clean tidy and brilliantly run. Access to the site is simple and fast more or less straight off the motorway. Fab place can't wait to go again.
A. G.
Good track but camping not allowed, could do with resurfacing
D. l.
I love this place! It always seem to be sunny! Great track, services, staff are good!
B. R.
Great day out with my little boy! Loved watching the racing. Loved being able to look around the garages and pitlane!
S. C.
Nice circuit. I went here for the British GP Championships. Excellent day out for the family. Food is a tad bit expensive. Customer service was good. Well worth a visit.
S. G.
Absolutely loved taking my bike around the circuit, thank you Donington staff for the opportunity.
W. H.
Absolutely top weekend out watching truck racing lots to do and see..highly recommended
E. A.
Spent some time looking at the selection of various motorcycles. Had some food in the cafe and a coffee. Bang on
P. W.
Love Donington and World Superbikes was an awesome event this year.. Will be back next year!
P. S.
Great place, very good maintained. Lots of space for picnic. Free carpark.
K. T.
My favourite race track in the UK!
Great track, undulating and fast.
Fantastic viewing from any location.
Bring MotoGP back here!
Lovely sunny day and facilities good.
Parked at starkey's with excellent views.
M. J.
Had a brilliant day out watching the Touring Cars, great viewing from the old hairpin corner and really loved the circuit as was our first time to Donington.
My only small critiques of the day that prevents a 5 star review was
a) the 1hr 15mins queue to get in (which honestly felt a bit dangerous & stressful when stuck on the A453 roundabout as completely blocking any traffic from opposite direction) and
b) food prices inside were way high (£7.10 for a cheeseburger, £5 for one 99 single scoop ice cream) I totally get and expect to pay a bit more at attractions, but this felt a bit greedy.
But otherwise, a great day and would go again!
N. M.
Great place , we had a wonderful time here ! Good food , fun park as well😊
P. W.
One of the most historic circuits in the country and still a great spectator experience. Some of the spectator viewing enclosures allow you to see 1/2 to 2/3 of the whole circuit. MSV have added a new clubhouse in the paddock too.
M. D.
I first went to 'Donno' on its reopening in 1977. The circuit has a unique atmosphere that you will not find anywhere else. We're very fortunate to have it on our doorstep and should make the best of it by supporting the motorsport (and music) events that are held there.
F. C.
Great racing circuits located close to many major cities, about an hour drive from Birmingham. Many facilities on-site, easy access to get in the paddock by car, track itself is known to also be challenging. I had a lot of fun there!
P. C.
Great race circuit. Good views from both outfield and infield.
F. L.
Watched my first ever BTCC race and it was awesome, great view from the Hollywood grandstand. Easy to navigate around, lots of shops and stalls to visit. Great food too.
E. B.
Views of the circuit are fantastic, food is overpriced and the staff in charge of the club entrance where all incompetent and one rude
K. R.
Donington Park never fails to please. A fab spectators circuit and made better by the open paddocks. No pretentious nonsense here at the WSBK meeting.
S. M.
Great track, enthusiastic and helpful staff, great trackday on my bike .
B. D.
An amazing well organised and maintained race track . Definitely worth a visit
C. C.
Did a great job to allow spectating, got to watch at least, smell the brakes and the gearbox oil.
b.
Best track in the country to ride view racing and easiest to get to
J. S.
A great weekend with excellent facilities. Just needs a few covered grandstands to make it perfect but weren't needed this weekend as it stayed dry.
S. M.
Toilets inside track were good but a long way from our position.
W. H.
Nice grippy track. Great for trackdays. Fuel available on site.
D. S.
Superb circuit that always hosts a great day. Excellent views for fans and exciting racing guaranteed. The BTCC weekend is a highlight of my year.
C. P.
Very historic track. Lacks shaded areas. Seems to have gone backwards under new ownership in quality of events and participation rates. Lots of money spent on circuit however. Too many casual syagg at events who don't know what's happening and even basic directions. They also seem not to know the allocated job. Last weekend at the Classic Motorcycle event those parking the motorcycles and disabled stuffed up. Those doing disabled more or less said well park anywhere once inside the main gate. Never did find the correct area the whole meeting. Those doing the MC parking started with the middle row making access to the rear almost impossible. Needs more rubbish bins. PA is very hard to hear in most locations as the announcer said and the FM radio was way too weak ie volume full up and not easy to hear.
L. S.
It's such a beautiful place to spend time and the staff and facilities are brilliant. Great food, fantastic racing and enthusiastic people. Awesome!
N. E.
Amazing experience working download Festival
N. W.
Only nipped into superbike shop to see if I wanted to spend money lol
Some fab bikes there
F. H.
A good race circuit, been here quite a few times. This time though the camp site parking has been a shambles, no one knows where to park, no markings, staff putting folks on wrong pitches. One tent has been allowed to pitch on the only access from our pitch, not a designated place, in an emergency we are stuffed. Please number at least some pitches so people have a starting point.
S. T.
Great weekend at the British gt race meeting⁰
P. G.
Not been to donnington since the mid 90s, still s great track, no ques to get in, great days racing,
P. W.

Always a great day out, the circuit has really improved its facilities over the last few years and is very noticeable for doing so. Can't wait to be back again next year!
T. B.
Brilliant race track with loads of great spectator points
R. K.
A good place to go to meet people, hang out and enjoy the noise of the engines!
L. S.
Had the pleasure of visiting Donington Park for the British Superbikes, and would definitely visit again. Great atmosphere (even in the cold and rain), and the infield is a great place to watch the action. Expensive f&b, but same as all other tracks!
P. “. F.
I was there for Download festival there for 3 days hot in the sun. Cold and wet and muddy if it rains, music heavy and I love it all.
Can be expensive va on the cash department but that's festival prices.
R. G.
I spent several full days with Learn2Drift who also teaxh at Rockingham, Birmingham Wheels and a few other sites.
They are fantastic, the day was great and 1 2 1 training brilliant value. I burnt out 6 sets of tyres in a morning :)
D. D.
In my opinion the best circuit bar none! Great facilities, easy parking and importantly for me you can buy tickets for every event on the day on the gate with cash or card unlike Silverstone. I'd give Donington Park 10/10 every time.
N. P.
Awesome evening session with opentrack track days. Second time I've used this company at Donington and can't recommend them enough especially with so many red flags during the session.
N. U.
Great place... Had so much fun watching the race and the booze there is fair as well 😉
A. S.
End of season at the british gt with Parker racing and nick Jones and Scott malvern the drivers of the porche GTR Great drive from the boys.

Great circuit with superb facilities.
A. J.
I my appinion, the best circuit in England, in on the hill above Starkys Bridge you can almost see the whole circuit or the foggy ss where there's all way some drama 🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️
C. C.
Great place, Helpful staff on the gates. Gravel paths bumpy but accessible for all, plenty of space, lots to see and looking for our next day out, Well done all at Donnington park
R. H.

D. s.
It was a brilliant experience with my husband and his friend.both went round the track
S. J.
Always a great circuit to visit really good for spectators. Good facilities and viewing areas.
D. C.
Another fantastic trackday. The craner curves are epic.
D. B.
No drinking water in concessions area . Hidden away at the shower block behind wagons. Security didn't know where it was . None at toilets. Good day though. As always.
M. D.
Arguably the best bike track in the country for spectators.
I go to all 3 days of every BSB every year and Garage 39 is easily the worst breakfast
J. I.
Great circuit for btcc. Plenty of amenities and parking is good.
A. H.
Very good day watching the touring cars
s. B.
Download was just amazing, Kiss were incredible
shame you had to park outside the track walk all the way across it and out of the other side
Fetch back Monsters of Rock and the Dunlop bridge
M. A.

😎👍🏎️🏎️🚗🚗

A great long weekend watching WSB good amenities for camping..just buy everything you need before you arrive...a bit pricey inside though.
G. H.
The grounds and staff are amazing Especially Sian Atkinson. What an absolute star and the sweetest, most informative of all the staff. Thanks for sorting us out!!
N. W.
Great place to do a track day noise limit is 98db for public trackdays and they are very on it.

Really good experience!!! Some cars were testing on the track as well, really enjoyed it😀
P. J.
Love this place. Been a number of times through MSV. Perfectly run, everybody is responsible and respectful during this unprecedented year. Can't wait to get back there.
G.
Absolutely stunning collection of F1 cars and world war 2 relics, the musuem isn't huge so expect to spend around an hour/two walking around. Entrance fees are approx £12.50 for adults but definitely £10 for students.
i. p.
Great day at superbikes reasonably priced and well organised
