I was there to see Paradise Lost be performed, so only saw the grounds. An enjoyable way to pass a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon

Didn't actually enter but the inside will have all the information upon the beginnings of Methodism and the Wesley's who are considered the fathers of Methodism.

A great place for revival, The old Rectory building and Samuel Wesley’s grave, where John Wesley preached from. God is alive and His great works on the Wesley family are some of the testimonies that uplift and gives us hope.

My fiancee and I visited today and had an inspiring time being shown around the Old Rectory in a Covid-secure way by a friendly volunteer. 'Would highly recommend to any lover of history ... particularly to those who share the evangelical Christian faith of the Wesley brothers. 🙂👍

Lovely to catch up with fellow volunteers at the first Coffe morning since the beginning of lockdown last year. Promise of things to come. 🤗

Sorry cant really score as we visited on a Sunday and it was shut but will give it 3 stars for appearance. We will however visit when it's open as it looks a lovely place to look around, looking forward to it.

The Old Rectory building is described in Peter Underwood's book "Hauntings" from 1977 in the third chapter "The Ghost of the Wesleys". The building still looks like a photo in this book. The book also contains the floor plan of the building. From November to December 1716 Poltergeist phenomena were observed and described in this building. In 2020 the building was haunted by the Corona virus.

A bit disappointed in this place. We were the only visitors on the day of our visit and we were rushed a round the house and couldnt look at the exhibits in the rooms.

Visited in August, last year. I enjoyed everything that I saw in the Old Rectory. It uplifted my spirit. I wish to go back there soon.

Spiritual uplifting and reassuring to know the tribulation the Wesley family went through. Being at the birthplace of John Wesley who started Methodist church was amazing.

Very interesting place - of interest to more than those concerned with the history of Methodism - social history, education, the position of women.... Very knowledgable and enthusiastic guides

(Translated) A return to such a wonderful story that was Wesley's. Fantastic staff, as well as the guide. I didn't enjoy it anymore, because I'm not fluent in the language.

Uma volta a uma história tão maravilhosa que foi a de Wesley. A equipe fantástica, assim como o guia. Não aproveitei mais, por não ser fluente no idioma.
