Beautiful medieval building. It's a gem hidden away. It was amazing to perform Tai chi right here, seeing East and West culture coming together.

It is a wonderful place that keeps the rich heritage of Durham, it's history, and many more. It has wonderful collection of window glass works and some of them are quite huge. Some decent collection of weapons used and large frames of paintings. It has the bell used in HMS invincible (1980) ship.

It's bigger than you think & certainly worth visiting, good if you have an hour spare. Loads of interesting local history & artefacts 👍

Old style Town Hall situated in historical City of Durham. Town Hall is history in itself and still has Gaol contractors. Large wooden lined and vaulted hall. Drain glass with coats of arms of the Old Norman Founders and Prince Bishops. Masters of Arms paraphernalia stored here. Associated to memory of Durham Light Infantry ( County Regiment).

Gorgeous building and beautiful decorations! With historical exhibitions. One observation: where are the female historical figures? We couldn’t find any woman featured here

What hides behind the facade is a brilliant room, significant stained glass windows. These are well worth the visit on their own.
We were on an organised walking tour of the city, so had the benefit of a guide to tell us a bit about the stories of the windows
What a great space well worth going in if it is open.

Stopped at Durham city for a few hours on our way north. A lovely clean and friendly town. We would love to have seen more. Use the park and ride, sure is the best way to avoid the traffic.

We called in to Durham Town Hall for some Tourist Information. We were greeted by lovely Leigh who was very friendly and helpful. She recommended places to eat for lunch and gave us a Durham voucher which entitled to discounts at participating restaurants. We were really impressed with the service we received. An excellent first impression of Durham. We will definitely be back. Thank you Leigh.
