The Rhododendron exhibition is a wonderful mix of scientific fact, botanical history and illustration plus some beautiful pieces of modern art inspired by the plants and their ecological predicament.

Super art gallery. About 8 rooms over two floors. Wheelchair accessible. Always interesting and beautifully curated. This building used to hold the museum of modern art and there is still some sculptures on the grounds from that time too.

Currently housing an exhibition about plant and animal life that is being forgotten by the new generation of children due to them spending so little time outside, resulting in not even being able to name the common plants and birds and such. "Lost words" is definitely worth a look if you're in the botanical gardens. The poems are whimsical and the illustrations beautiful. There's no entrance fee, but a donation is welcome.

It is a nice building, but the experience will vary greatly depending on the resident exhibits. I saw a poster for "Natural Selection" and expected something about Darwinism or similar, but it was about theft of bird eggs, very disappointed.

There are often really interesting exhibitions here. There's a good cafe next door. It's in the middle of the lovely Edinburgh Botanical Gardens. And it's free. What more do you want?

I love the Inverleith House Gallery, the exhibitions are really attractive and it's a good addition to the city's art scene. Not to mention that is located in one of the most amazing places of Edinburgh, the botanic gardens. Best for an excellent morning plan.
