My visit was 28/05/22.
A long walk up to the Fort but worth the views once you get there.
Not many people know about the Antonine Wall, built by Antoninius Pius (Marcus Aurelius' adopted father), Hadrian's adopted son.
I took around 70+ photos of the views (i'll add a few dozen here) and it wasn't easy to recognise the ancient Roman ruins, as the place has changed alot ... the main example being the massive Quarry to the south, which is a scar in the landscape.
Still worth a visit though.

Just love this place. Great to get away for a few hours, whether you taking the car or bike easy to get to. Lovely place for a walk on any day.

A really nice walk, good information markers around detailing the old fort and wall. Some fantastic long range views on clearer days too.

Croy Hill offers stunning views, especially during sunset, remainings of the Roman fort are clearly marked. Could do with some maintenance (lawn mowed) like the one on Bar Hill has.

Best place to park would be at the Boat House Hotel at Kilsyth, them walk up the path, n follow the signs.
