J. M.A great place to learn the history of Cromerty, more than just fishing and oil! Step back in time to hear a court session on a drunken brawl in the 1700's. Very friendly staff. Local photos downstairs. Free, but consider donating.
W. W.Wandered in from the street, having not being aware of this museum's existence. So pleased we did; it's an excellent place to visit.
We were greeted by an enthusiastic member of staff who made us feel very welcome.
The interpretation is well presented and user friendly, being the correct mix of audio tableau, interesting info boards and artefacts.
It's free to go in, being run by the local community but donations are welcomed and we gave gladly.

R. A.Excellent museum, well worth a visit, audio descriptions on some on the displays and a court case being held in the courthouse was well done with voices coming from the character positions. Local dialect, but and English translation available, for those that struggle with the auld Scots.

R. G.A fascinating museum in Church Street, Cromarty depicting life in the area in days gone by. We visited today and had a very enjoyable time made even more pleasurable by the assistant Susan Florence and her knowledge of the people in the Old Photograph Album. Great museum, God shop and a good pub over the road for a pint afterwards.
