Brilliant little museum. Lots of history well laid out. Really worth a look. Friendly staff and toilets.

This place is a Goldmine of information and interesting stories during the Covid-19 pandemic this museum has put in place a red / green light system to allow people in and out safely, with hand sanitiser on the left when you enter. The entrance fee we thought was well priced at £4 per adult (we paid the £4.40 for gift aid) we watched the video on the main website so we knew what to expect when navigating the museum. The displays were well laid out and full of facts and interesting stories as well as an outside labyrinth our kids had fun for a 6 and 7 year old. We would recommend this place if you plan to stay in Dornoch. Thank you so much to the lady on the main desk for taking the time to make us feel safe.

Lovely small museum. Packed with interesting and varied exhibits, staff were very welcoming of kids and allowed us to carry a small dog round the museum. There is space to tie dogs outside with a water bowl and the museum is wee enough to pop back and forth to check on the pooch during your visit.

Fabulous museum. Great for all ages. Everyone very friendly and knowledgeable. Don't forget the reduced box in the shop. But there's brilliant stuff for all pockets. Especially children.

It's not the biggest and lacks the usual really old artefacts. Nonetheless it's appropriate for a small place like Dornoch, no cafe here but there are comfort facilities if required.

Absolutely beautifully set out. Inside and out this museum is a treasure trove in an absolutely gorgeous area of the highlands

This is an absolute cracker of a museum, It has absolutely wonderfull staff who are friendly to all ages. It has amazing information about the history of Dornoch as well as it even has toilets. From the outside this building looks like a very short trip around but when you get inside they have a quiz for visitors as well as its about an hour or two of reading and interactive info. I really highly suggest this place to all and I really thank the staff for being so nice and polite especially to my sisters.

stumbled across the museum completely by accident on our way to Inverness, had a lovely time, the little museum was packed full of interesting things - a particular favourite was the paintings of scenes from Dornoch’s history along the walls of the exhibition!! thank you for a lovely afternoon :)
