I travelled from Leicester to Invergordon and the very lovely kind lady let me look around when it's temporary closed at the moment. I found the place very interesting and the next time I travel to Scotland I will definitely be coming back to this great little museum. Once again thank you so much 🙏 …

Small museum. But reflects the size of the town. Very nicely layed out. And a good selection of exhibits to interest any number of tastes. I particularly enjoyed looking at all the old medical instruments and hospital display. Very pleasant helpful staff who were happy to answer questions

We thought we'd just pop in for a few minutes and ended up spending over an hour. It was that good. They've managed to include a huge amount of information in a rather cozy space. Nice bit of fascinating artifacts from the local area; we especially liked the historical medical items. The folks who were at the front area were very helpful to speak with and also recommended a restaurant to go to for lunch. It is free to have a look, but definitely put some cash into the donation jar!

Wonderful small museum mostly concerned with local life and the naval and armed forces activities in the area. Has a large poignant display of the tragic HMS Natal artifacts and the original naval/county hospital.
Totally run by hospitable, friendly local volunteers. Free entry relying on donations and open on days the cruise liners dock. Well worth a visit and a chat. 😀😀

This is an entirely community-run museum, chock-a-block with fascinating artifacts. Where else could you find an early hospital ward (complete with Iron Lung), the history of a top secret underground military fuel depot with a world-record echo, find out the huge role played in both world wars by this major naval base, and research a wealth of detailed local history? Oh, and did I mention the oil rigs?

Small museum with intriguing local artifacts. They also had a craft fair with locally made handicrafts. Altogether it took about 15 minutes to walk through. It showed a bit of the local history and the role the town played in the war.
