Reviews of Llandovery Castle
M. L.
Driving on the A40 it is worth pulling into main car park at Llandovery to see the castle ruins and the amazing statue of Llewellyn. Car park is free between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm Monday to Wednesday. Don't forget to still put your registration number in machine to obtain free tickets.

It's a small castle with only a few ruins right above a car park but it's central location in town and nice views make it good fun, but don't expect much to explore - there's only a few ruins. Would be hard for anyone with mobility issues to get up the steep incline.

Such a lovely place to visit one of my favourite in South Wales it has a wonderful selection of shops and eateries. Not to mention the most amazing Antiques shop just by the train station, I never leave empty handed

Only a small castle, but worth a visit. Nice statue of a knight along side it. Wasn't impressed that they make you pay for parking and the use of the toilet. I don't mind one or the other but both 🙁. …

Although the castle is just a small ruin, the site is worth visiting for the giant stainless steel statue of Llywelyn ap Gruffudd , the last true Prince of Wales.

Not a big castle to walk around but there's still a good tower to climb. Great views when up there of the bay. There's a cheap carpark nearby but the toilets around the corner cost 20p. I recommend the icecream seller on the side of the castle. They're expensive but well worth the cost!

Very impressive view to castle and nears.

Not much left to see but the town is cool, worth a little visit :)

Not much castle left but what there is makes for an interesting 5 mins. Easy to find in the middle of the town car park. It does create a bit of a wow moment as you pull in. And free, although reaching the ruin is not very accessible for those with limited mobility. Spent some time in the adjoining park with the grandson and the dog, a nice couple of hours
