C. A.Beautiful architecture. We went for Open Doors Day so we got a talk explaining various aspects of the synagogue. We were lucky enough to hear a small choir while there. The acoustics are evident, and it must be amazing with a full choir.
There are also displays in the archival rooms below, including the history of Jews immigration to Glasgow, including, of course, the sad history of immigration during WWII.
All the staff there were super friendly and answered lots of questions..

J.Beautiful place full of history. If you can get a guided tour even better. Place well worth visiting with some heartwarming artefacts from the history of Jewish people and long lasting traditions throughout the chronicles of time
j. m.Has the tour. Very interesting and worthwhile. Guide very knowledgeable and helpful. If you are interested in history this is a great venue. If you can also view the inside of the Synagogue, the architecture is breathtakingly beautiful.

E. C.I visited Garnethill Synagogue on an Open Day, and was received with great warmth and enthusiasm. We were given a tour and attended a presentation on the life of a young Scottish Jewish soldier in WWI, which was quite interesting. This is a very beautiful building and the congregation is very kind-- they certainly made visitors feel welcome and did their best to give us the history of this lovely place.

L. m.This is part of a complex which includes the synagogue where my grandparents married. It holds the archives of the Jewish population and does research into it.
