Reviews of St Conan’s Kirk

The architect built this gorgeous church for his aging mother because her church was too far away.
There is a bone from Robert the Bruce enshrined here. It's one of the most …

I visit this fabulous building regularly, taking visitors to see it. It really has a bit of everything architecturally and is so very unique. It is cared for by a dedicated group of people who are slowly restoring it to ts former glory. …

This place is beautiful and we were lucky to have been able to visit this place on such a gorgeous day. I recommend atleast coming once. The history and the design of the building was fascinating. A simple donation is what is asked of you …

This was a beautiful little church and very much worth stopping to visit. The building inside has a vibe and feeling of a much larger, older cathedral.
Beautiful architecture inside and a nice story behind the construction including the use of timbers from two old British warships.

A beautiful little church right on the shore of Loch Awe, tucked away just off the main road towards Oban.
It’s an absolutely beautiful building and grounds to to explore and you could easily lose an hour looking around here.
Well worth popping in if you are ever passing through the area.

Absolutely charming church with a unique mix of Romanesque and gothic architectural styles, scaled to a small church. Picturesque overlooking Loch Awe. Entry by donation. Small tearoom was closed when we visited. No toilets. Check out the rabbit downspouts!

Amazing place and free! They do ask for donations which were willingly given but a stunning building and definitely worth a visit. On the banks if the beautiful Loch Awe.

We had driven by so many times before and always admired how beautiful it is and this time we stopped. It's a beautiful building in an absolutely amazing location. The photos won't do it justice so do stop and have a look, you won't be disappointed.

Not a religious person whatsoever, but I can appreciate beautiful architecture when I see it. This church is worth the stop if you’re in the area. Be sure to donate a few pounds so they can keep the place in tip top shape.

Beautiful location for a church and nicely kept inside, small cafe in what I assume would have been the rectory with toilet facilities for customers. Would have liked there too be a candle to buy to light for loved ones but heavy signage of restoration work so understandable
