Fantastic for kids and adults. You can touch and interact with exhibits. There is a good mixture of models, video, fossils, interactive displays and sensory exhibits.
My 3 year old particularly enjoyed the archeological section. You can find your own dinosaur skeleton beneath the sand using brushes.
Very reasonable admission price. Would have happily paid double or more.

Not the slickest of Natural History museums but certainly scores very high on the interactive aspect. It’s evident that the proprietors are earnest in the scientific aspects of palaeontology with exhibits dedicated to the feathers we now believe dinosaurs to have had, the K-T boundary, etc.
Plenty of craft material abounds and everything is accessible save for a narrow staircase not suited to those with mobility issues. There are loads of auditory, tactile and even olfactory stimuli. For the price, you’ll marvel at how the hours disappeared.
Kudos must go out to the team at Creative Briefs!

Well worth a visit, small but interesting. My five year old grandson loved it, it took about an hour to go around and he got involved with all the hands-on stuff and rounded it off with a v.r. trip. It's an absolute bargain.
L. N.
Really enjoyed this and thought it was brilliant for cost. Kids spent an hour or so in it playing with digital sandbox and smelling smells and chasing stamps to collect. Really good fun and not publicised the best as rate very highly.
J. H.
This was the first time I went here since the last time I visited years ago. So interesting.

Dinostar is a small but nice dinosaur museum for kids in Hull not far away from the deep. It is great if the kids love dinosaurs. Some people have given it one star which is unfair. £3 per adult £1.50 for kids.
J. M.
Small but the kids loved it. Passed an hour or more easily with the activities that they had.
G. P.
Take my Grandson there, he is nearly three years old. He loves it. Not very dear to get in & lots to do for him. Its not Jurassic park but realy intresting.
p. b.
Good for kids £3.00 entry
S. T.
Took my 2 grandchildren here today. Ages 4 & 3 . They loved it. Its only small but theres plenty for them to see. It cost £9 for 2 adults and 2 kids . Well worth the money if you have kids that love dinosaurs.
C. M.
Small but fun for the kids and educational for both adults and children, a good 45 mins of the day.
B. W.
We spent almost 3 hours here it's absolutely brilliant lots of hands on stuff for kids to do our granddaughter loved the interactive Sandpit and under £10 for 3 of us for entry it was well worth it! Great people who work here too very friendly 😃
S. D.
A small attraction with a small entrance fee to match. A good hour or so with lots of hands on activities for younger ones. Would recommend a visit.
d.
Very informative, great stamp game for kids to enjoy which also gives you discount on items in the shop once completed and given back. Fun activities upstairs for kids to enjoy
D. P. (.
Got an hour to kill with the kids? This is perfect. Very unassuming from the outside It looks and is typically Hull, run down. But there's plenty of bang for your buck and the kids had a great time on the short but sweet walk around this museum/converted house. Top marks for Children's engagement & price! £6 for three of us I think, but let down by appearances and a few exhibits not working alongside a couple of hand sanitisers.
L. P.
loads of fun for Dino obsessed kids and very reasonable entry fee...
S. C.
7 year old enjoyed, only took twenty minutes to walk round. Could be better if much larger place
Stop gap to ice cream by boats by Old Town Hull
N. D.
Very interesting lots to see, but one visit would be enough
E.
First time I visited it looks so small on the outside but there's a lot in there to see read and have activities upstairs for the kids to do. Definitely worth the couple £ entry fee
T. R.
OK for a quick tour around if your at a loose end
B. W. C.
Fantastic little museum. My daughter runs around excited anyway but there is plenty for kids to do. Including the new addition as pictured. Interactive projection sand play - dinosaurs wandering around the land as you build mountains or dig lakes!
R. B.
Amazing little museum great for smaller kids. Sand table is unbelievable. A must see for any dinosaur enthusiastic parents and children.
J. M.
Only small but a great hour or couple of hours out. Well worth the £3 for an adult.
Y. A.
My 4 year old son is dinosaur mad he absolutely loves them so this place was amazing for him and he loved every bit of it🦖
j. l.
Really interesting both my granddaughter and great grandson enjoyed it
M. M.
Plenty of peices to see with information about them, good interactive items. We could of spent a lot longer but young autistic boy practically got round in 5 minutes, definitely a go again at some point.
D. M.
First time visit for us. Kids really enjoyed it
A. M. U.
Great for youg kids little play bit digging up bones absolutely enjoyed it
S. B.
My 20 month old loves this place! I would've said it needs updating but seeing how excited he was I realised it's more than enough for kids to enjoy. Very happy!
R. R.
Great value, worth popping in for.
I especially liked the augmented reality sand pit. I want one!
J. P.
Great. Our kids were absolutely absorbed by the interactive sand pit.
S. R. F.
Great little find, our daughter loves dinosaurs so this place is amazing and they charge next to nothing to get in, I would highly recommend this for a visit.
A. B.
My 3 year old absolutely loves this place! A lovely 2 story building with lots dinosaurs and crafts to do. The owner is always friendly too. About £3-4 entry I think.
N.
My 5 year old loved it. It's cheap, and small but of your little one loves dinosaurs it's worth a visit. It doesn't take long to walk around so we visited the deep before hand, which is minutes drive away. So if your travelling further a field maybe plan something extra.
N. W.
Fantastic little place if you have a Dino fan in the family it's a great place to visit. It's not massive but there is lots to look at and learn about plenty of interactive things to do.
Just across the bridge from the deep about a 5 minute walk so we combined the two places. Very inexpensive so even if you only spend an hour it's something different.
E. D.
Not a massive museum but nether is the price, the kids loved it and there was plenty for them to play with
T. T. T.
Great place for your Dino-obsessed child. Lots of dinosaur related facts as well as a 'stamp sheet' for you to find stamps in return for a prize. It is a good mix of small dinosaur museum and the owners personal collection of dinosaur bones, models and Jurassic Park/world items. At the end of the museum there is a 'play room' of sorts where your child can play with toy dinosaurs, dig up bone replicas as well as play a very nostalgic Jurassic park Computer Game. Only Complaint is that it is a tiny bit tacky, but we have all got to start somewhere. Good place to kill time. would recommend to a dinosaur fan!
M. T.
Good little museum, very informative and interesting.
D. D.
Great fun little place. Well worth the entry fee and the gift shop is reasonably priced. My favourite museum in Hull by far (I enjoyed it much much more than the Deep).
p. w.
A very interesting museum
Loads to see and very informative
E. P.
Great place to visit. Good for children to have a "hands on " experience. Entrsnceva good price
A. W.
A nice hour or so for the kids - welcoming owner.
J. F.
Small but well priced attraction for little Dinosaur fans.
S. H.
Weird place. If you're into dinosaurs and want to see some actual bones and some recreations and live in Yorkshire, its a good place to visit. The kids alternated between fascinated and scared. They weren't bored though! Set aside maybe 90 mins for a good look round and quick play.
K. O.
My 3 year old son absolutely loved visiting Dinostar. we only went this morning and he wants to go back again already. Not crammed full of stuff so it easily captures their attention we collected the stamps on our way round and got Money off in the gift shop for doing so. It is very interactive for little hands and minds, made a refreshing change from having to keep saying "don't touch that" nothing is off limits. Thouroughly enjoyed ourselves and expect i will have to go at least once a week now lol. not a problem though as it costs less than the bus fare to get there
I.
If you're in Hull it's a nice place to visit see and learn. If your traveling from further a field you might be underwhelmed as its not a massive exhibition but if your in the area pop in. My daughter loved the dinosaurs, finding the stamps hidden around and the play area. Great way to pass and hour or so.
l. t.
For the money it was fine. £3 adults £1.50 for kids. My 6 year old enjoyed it and liked collecting stamps and interacting with the activities.
D. C.
Well worth the small entrance fee.
Probably one of the cheapest ways to keep the kids entertained for an hour Some good interactivity for the kids. Interesting for all ages. Very reasonably priced souvenir shop.
A. B.
Wow in Hull all these years, never knew it was here, great place for the little ones, children £1.50 Adults £3.00 we was in a good hour. Children loved it. 😁 definitely recommend.
G. K.

Lovely little place. Kids will have fun here.
Z. F.
The kids loved it. It's reasonably priced with the added bonus of free entry next visit with a full picture of stamps that the children collect as they go around.
A. D.
It's only small, but my kids love this place!
C. S.
Absolutely fantastic and fun learning experience for kids young and old! Lots of hands on activities for all children! A must visit whenever in Hull visiting family and friends!
r. s.
Had an absolutely amazing time there such a good experience for all ages my son absolutely loved it
s. a.
Great place, my son loves it. Obviously a labour of love. Not slick like more modern places but so well priced it's not a problem.
R.
Great fun for kids under 8. Very cheap so we'll worth a visit if in the area.
P. t. E.
It seems good considering its someones private collection and run by 1 person. however I feel it needs a clean up. (new carpet, repaint of the walls, etcetera) I also think you should occasionaly swap the exhibits every so often (maybe once or twice every few years) because I went there 5 years ago and its still the same today. however that does not mean it has some really intresting items, like the dinosaur skin, the skeleton in the first room, the egg and the triceratops bone.
K. N.
Greta place for children, very well priced
C. H.
The venue is quite small but does well for it's space. Dinostar seems to be more focused on the education of dinosaurs and prehistoric events than actually having a larger museum worthy display.
G. H.
It's ok for the little ones..got some good models in there and a couple of real skeletons..its pretty cheap as well. Your not gonna spend all day in there but its interesting.
L. S.
A lovely little museum great for younger children aspecially as it is interactive!
C. C.
Wonderful for place for adults and children to go and see dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes. So much fun.
B. D.
Kids loved it. It's only small but if your kids like dinosaurs this is really good.
J. R.
Kids really enjoyed it. Would just advise not to rush going round take your time and take it all in.
G. B.

R. T.
it was a kid friendly mess of facts activities and fun we loved it and worth going more then once
M. T.
My boys loved it, it's a bit run down though
M. M.
2 year old loved it. Only small, but inexpensive. Kept him entertained for an hour.
D. G.
Smaller than I had anticipated but still of interest
T. H.
Good to call in and let children learn and enjoy themselves, worth wile if they like dinosaurs. Not a museum, but a learning experience.
J. K.
My kids (2 &3 year's old )love it more than National historic museum in London.
J. S.
Some interesting interactive exhibits but quite small and doesn't take long
T. H.

J. G.
Great for everyone going and old.
E. P.
Was ok as was inexpensive but was tired and dusty. Kids weren't that interested.
L. B.
Quite a small museum but if you go regularly it's worth getting the annual pass
S. S.
Here dinosaur sounds, smell the smells. See replica bones and dinosaur models. Price if entry is reasonable
N. K.
Amazing place. Don't be put off by the size outside. It's a tardis inside.
J. W.
Good lots of interesting things for the children to look at and press buttons to hear the dinosaur noises
J. R.
Nothing startling. Looks very amateur, especially the pictures of Hull with dinosaurs super imposed on them.
Compared to other museums in Hull, this is a poor relation.
M. B.
Kids love dinosaurs so this is a lovely place to go
O. N.
Small but very interesting museums. For free.
