First time visitor. What a brilliant place, one of the best museums we have been to. Learnt so much, really friendly knowledgeable staff. Well worth a visit. When in Hull we will go again.

Made an impromptu visit to this museum today. All of the staff were so friendly and very knowledgeable. Tony give us a guided tour. Being ex-forces he really knew his stuff, and give my son some interesting facts, along with letting him hold some of the rifles. Definitely worth a visit if you are in this part of town. We made a donation today but was told we didn't have to.

Had the usual museums planned during city visit to Hull but stumbled upon this one and we were really impressed, in fact it was the highlight of our trip not only for what is inside but for the friendly and informative ex forces guide who showed us around. We learnt a lot about hull and the war and our sons were allowed to hold guns to bring everything to life. They are still talking about the dentist pliers too! I would thoroughly recommend this museum, they are really knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you have.

I am pleased to say that it's a fantastic experience. I also donate war time models tanks ect the people involved in it are very pleased to get and give information about the bombing of the city.

We bumped into this tiny museum while we were looking for a souvenir to take back home, and it was the best thing we saw in Hull. Staff is super nice and friendly, they walked us around their exposition about WWI and WWII, explained us what was life on the frontline and the risk of walking the battlefield, showed us the strenght any soldier had to have, both mental and phisical (their equipment is incredibly heavy), and much more. Make sure to head over here as the experience you'll have will remind you how much a war can be wrong, and we are all brothers after all.

What an absolute delight! Fantastic place for any age, the volunteer Frank, not only entertained my 3 children he shared his knowledge and wisdom with them and they left having learnt new things and had fun!
On top of that, my son who became unwell quite quickly would like to thank Frank for taking care of him. he has autism and finds social situations a challenge but he was brilliant with him.
Thank you for a great visit and we'll definitely visit again soon.

We visited during our week stay up north and can honestly say without doubt, this was the best museum experience we've ever had. Everyone was incredibly helpful and we loved that they shared their knowledge with us. We will be back again soon. Thankyou so much 😊

Best museum in hull. And we have some great ones. The people that work in there have all the time in the world to talk to you and teach you things. My little boy even got to wear a helmet and fire a real rifle. He loved it. And enjoyed learning about the chocolate rations!!
