Reviews of Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park
S.
Lovely farm, had lots to see and do and interesting animals such as armadillos and ant eaters that you'd not expect to see at a farm! The animals looked well cared for and happy. The staff were very friendly and informative, particularly the man handling the dinosaurs today- very good with children! The butterfly house was really nice.

When as a Father's day present , never been before and had a lovely day. Lots of animals for the little ones to feed. Nicely set out. When in the restaurant for lunch and the food was very good. The sausage rolls are brilliant. One thing we did comment on was toilets. Could do with a couple more on site. It's a bit of a walk from were the raccoons are to the toilets. But apart from that very good. Large car park.

A few exotic animals along with farm animals , picnic areas and play areas for the kids , restaurant and gift/toy shop , woodland walk with den building.
Great place for children , you might want to wear Wellington boots if its been raining as the pathways can get quite muddy.
At the entrance you can buy a bag of food for £1so you can feed the farm animals , I would recommend this as its good fun feeding the animals , especially for young children , there are plenty of hand washing stations along the way so its totally safe⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review for restaurant,
The food was great quality, I had Lamb stew , very tasty and filling , the service was not so good , we ordered 4 drinks and 4 meals , the meals took at least 30 minutes to come out to us (its a small menu and should be a quick turn around) I had to remind the waitress we had ordered drinks , they arrived half way through eating our meal , we were asked if we wanted a dessert , the menu was given to us , after waiting 20 minutes (the restaurant was NOT busy at this time) we decided to give the dessert a miss !!
when paying we wanted to split the bill between 2 couples , my friend paid on her card , I paid cash , I was short changed buy £5 , I told the cashier my change was not correct , she stared at the till and gave me £2 , I told her again it was not correct , she again stared at the till and I explained what money I had given her and what my correct change should of been , she eventually gave me the correct change . overall not a great experience ⭐⭐⭐

Not a zoological marvel, however the staff are all really really nice, animals are all happy looking and seem cared for. You can see the investment here, and I am sure this place will grow. Great few hours out with the kids. If you bring snacks and drinks, it is a cheap day out just down the road.
T. W.
So much better than expected. The animals have room to move about. We enjoyed our day. Take a picnic. Ice cream a bit expensive for a small tub. Would recommend as also great things for you youngsters to do
G. R.
Great place. Although busy it doesn't fell that way as there is plenty of open space. All the animals seem well cared for and are responsive. Animals appear to have a good amount of space. Reasonable priced inside the farm but surrounding businesses are quite pricey.
J. K.
Great family day out, lots of animals to see. Do think £15/adult is a bit steep, considering it would be difficult to spend a whole day there. Very dog friendly and nice array of country shops.
G. B.
Definitely well worth visiting. Jimmy has done an amazing job - something for everyone. Lots of interesting animals and lovely woodland walk. Very good restaurant with friendly staff.

What a lovely day we had, its more like a mini zoo than a farm ! So many different animals to see !
Just listing a few here, goats, rabbits, sheep/lambs, pigs, meerkat, butterflies, crocodile, lizards, geese, chickens, anteater, zebras, armadillo....and so on !
The farm itself felt very well spaced out, the animals had plenty of area to explore, it felt very clean, no litter or mess anywhere, it's easily a full day out.
There where at least 3 different play areas for the children to play in, everything seamed brand new, there's an ice cream shop, coffee shop plus a restaurant and gift shop. The woodland den building area was a great idea ! My daughter would happily stay there all day !.
We will definitely be going back again in a few months, there was a sign saying that 20 new animals will be added soon. We felt the entry price was fair considering what was there!
The restaurant was really nice, looked stunning aswell as its set inside an old barn! The food was really really nice, we will happily eat there again, you are allowed to take your own food and have a picnic on the grass if you wish but we ate in the restaurant and I think we would again as the food was super yummy !!
If your hoping to see farm machinery such as tractors, this isn't the farm for you as I said earlier, it's more like a zoo. This wasn't a problem for us, we loved it !

Absolutely loved my visit, well arranged, informative and chocked full of animals, wildlife and fun. The butterfly house was superb and being to feed and touch some of the wonderful animals was a real treat. I would recommend this site as a great place to go for anyone who is interested in animals.
T. W.
A great day out. Plenty of variety in the animals, some nice enclosures and knowledgeable staff. Just avoid the coffee which wasn't filtered. Nice woodland walk. Highly recommended
N. W.
We visited Saturday, it was an amazing day! Such a great time had by all. Lots to do for a range of aged children, great play equipment. Only thing I would say is there is limited shaded pic nic areas in the park, one large canopy type shade near the reptile house / butterfly House but only catered for a maximum of 6-8 pic nic benches. We went through the woodland walk takes about 30 mins max and there was more pic nic benches at the end of this near the bar, but they aren't well known. Loads of animals to feed and loads of places for the children to explore. Overall was a brilliant day and would visit again. We took a pic nic so can't comment on the cafe there.

A lovely afternoon with family as a late Mother's Day treat (delayed by Covid). Plenty of parking space, though a few more disabled ones would be helpful. The farm was well attended on the day we visited. ⁰00You are greeted by shops initially behind which are nice gardens and plentiful outdoor seating. A pleasant meal in the barn restaurant (served with courtesy) followed by a visit to the exotic animals in the valley below proved to be just the job in fine Spring sunshine and the children's play area was enjoyed by our youngsters immensely. Although some areas are covered I'm not sure how we'll we would have coped in the wet. My fifth star is reserved because I felt the farm site could be better signposted on the approach roads. Also, for disabled visitors, access to the restaurant could be improved by being at both entrances. Around the site, although there are gravel paths allowing access, they were a little too bumpy for our more basic wheelchair to be comfortable and easy to negotiate. Rubber matting for part of the path for part of the site would do well enough. All in all Jimmy's farm is a great place to take children if you want them to learn about nature and play actively in safety. Would recommend.
A. N.
Had a lovely day out at Jimmy's Farm. You can tell a lot of investment has gone into the place and they've done their best to accommodate everyone, one of the only wildlife parks in the UK you can bring your dog. Fixing the pathways and speedier service in the restaurants would get this five stars. But overall a nice little day trip out.
T. T.
A really good place to visit and spend maybe 3 good hours? Many interesting animals to see with some great characters amongst them. The camels are very vocal, the meerkats love posing and the capybara are just divine. Much to do for the very younger folk and the only minor criticism is that if you wished to eat something of a takeaway nature at the numerous picnic benches, then the is nothing available sadly. Not sure why this has been missed and the argument might be that there is a very acceptable sit down restaurant. However, not everyone wants to go that route nowadays. Just a thought.
A. B.
Quick stop to pick up items from the farm shop, ample parking and redesign means you can visit the shops without paying for the super animal park. We'll stocked shop, good variety of items and lovely grounds.
E. C.
Lovely farm with beautiful, healthy and happy animals who all have lovely big pens. Super duper impressed with the BSL posts all round the park displaying the BSL for all the animals!
Bought the tickets online giving a £1 per ticket discount and we literally walked straight in. The forest walk is lovely and the baby pigs were adorable 🥰
Only downside is, I am pretty sure I was overcharged for my icecream and drinks I bought and was a little disappointing the kiosk we went to had no sweeteners available despite them being available at the other one but it was just one little thing that doesn't change how lovely it was 😊
R. L.
This has to be one of our favourite days out.
We now have year memberships, although we live in swale, we still drive just for a day drip.
Always something new to see. My children love the bouncy pillows, even better now that they have a big pillow and little pillow. The new play park that is being built looks brilliant.
Just a lovely family day out.
Food is good too which is an added bonus
A. B. (.
Absolutely loved this! Fantastic place with lots too see without being too much to fit in a day. Few different animals I had never seen before.
V. N. (.
My 6-year old granddaughter & I enjoyed a fabulous afternoon at Jimmy's. Eliza was surprised at how the park has grown since her last visit over two years ago. She really enjoyed earning her badge, finding all the animals on the 20th anniversary trail & collecting the relevant stamps, as well as feeding various inhabitants of the park. The animals all have plenty of room to live & roam & look very well cared for. It's wonderful to have so many exotic animals on our doorstep & lots of information is displayed at each enclosure, so we both learned as we wandered! Eliza was really looking forward to seeing the Suffolk Punch foals, but they're currently off-site (guess where we're going next?!) With several excellent children's play areas, the woods, food & snack outlets, the farm shop, clothing & toy shops and easy onsite parking, we totally recommend Jimmy's for a superb, enjoyable day out.
B. B.
Great place but deffiently worth revisiting in the high season as a few things were unavailable due to low numbers or animal habits.
However bags of feed were available in the shop for £1 and pre booked tickets were 1/2 price (for January) so can't complain that's for sure as we still had a great short day out feeding the farm animals by hand (goats and donkeys mainly) Zebra, Emu's, Monkeys, Reindeer, Ant eaters, rare breeds, exotics and more viewable.
Nice that the woodland walk was still open however shame the bar there was closed (guess it is a little too quiet for it).
Only things we were dissapointed in not seeing were the Racoons and the Butterfly house, however that gives us a good reason to return in the summer when hopefully they'll both be accessible.
Restaurant looked nice if a little pricey but didn't have time to stop.
Got some great looking real ales though from the shop, brewed for the farm by Briarbank who are a local brewery. (I got a Belgian IPA and a chocolate porter both well priced)
Would certainly reccomend. In the low season wear appropriate footwear and clothing though it still is a working farm afterall.
Will return.
N. C.
Staff very friendly, food great and wildlife park full of very happy and healthy animals..even though it was raining (not the farms fault). Lots to do and see for all family members, old and young and lots of new stuff on the way. These guys are working hard to protect species and you can see this in the amount of young animals you can see around the park.
S. S.
Had a loverly trip to Jimmy's Farm. Great place to take all the family. Make sure to buy a bag of feed each as the animals love being hand fed! We were pleased to see and use washing facilities as well as hand sanitizer all the way round. Great tasty and generous portions at the restaurant as well as a large selection of beers and other beverages. The dads can sit in the rustic barn having a beer whilst the mums have plenty of shops to browse so there is something for everyone.
R. H.
Awsome place. Loads of things to do and see for all the family. Woodland walks, reptile house, pigs, goats, camels and so much more!!! Nice little gift shop with own brand ales, james etc and not forgetting their world famous (in their words) saisage roll, which is actually pretty good lol
n. x.
Lovely farm.....animals are definitely well looked after and loved. Unfortunately we went on a horrid day for weather as thats when we was in the area and was absolutely soaked....I think the only negative was that because of the weather didnt feel like we got full value for money £46 for family of 4.
J. B.
Had a lovely day out with my daughter in law and grandchildren yesterday. A wide range of animals that are clearly well looked after. Loved the one way system but we still missed out on a few of the animals as the map we were given was a not really clear and then we didn’t want to try and negotiate the one way system again to visit them. Pushing a buggy on the gravel paths certainly gave me a work out as they are not particularly buggy or wheelchair friendly. My grandson loved catching his first fish despite Dilly’s rather abrupt manner towards children. Food at the restaurant was tasty but rather expensive so perhaps next time we would head for the Field Kitchen or take a picnic.
T. D.
Park was fantastic! Pushchair accessible all the way round and plenty to see, great for little ones with playgrounds dotted about also. The only let down was the restaurant, everything takes quite a while to turn up almost an hour wait for a roast and no check ups for extra drinks etc.
N. H.
It's a nice place to visit for both adults and children. It's not to expensive for entry. Lots of parking spaces but it's a short walk as it's on the field. Has a small souvenir shop, as well as plant shop. There's 2 food places, one near the enters and the other one further into the farm. They are a bit on a pricer side but the food is lovely. It took us a few hours to walk around and see all different animals. The ticket office sells animal food for £1 or £2 a bag which lasted us all around the park. Some areas have steep hills. There's a small pond and pick nick/rest area.
L. W.
Great day out and well organised. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant
J. R.
Lovely day out, it was just us and noi children which gave us a slow and leisurely experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it! You can see how the animals are so well cared for, as is the whole farm! Very impressed well done Jimmy!
However the missus insists I post her disappointment in the bacon bap from the restaurant and I have to agree! Sorry guys but it tasted as if was cooked on a dirty grill and served in a sweet Brioche was a bit odd! However.. it did not spoil our day and I loved my pint of Jimmy's lager!!
J. W.
Great day out, since last visit they have improved the site, more play areas for the children and nicer living accommodation for all the wildlife..
E.
Great place for a day out! The restaurant has amazing portions for the price, and the farm shop was very reasonable for items too!
D. O.
Great trip with the family, lots of new animals to see and facilities. Even better with the January 50% off admission!
M. L.
Really enjoyed our day out at Jimmy's Farm. Love that this place is dog friendly. Food was quite pricey but very nice and staff were all very friendly. Lots of animals to feed and stroke but I was disappointed that we didn't get to see a lot of the rare breed animals stated to be residing there on the website. Would definitely recommend for a fun animal day out.
G.
This is a great place to visit with kids and family.
Lots of farm animals and exotic ones to like monkeys and reptiles etc.
The grounds and woodlands are alovely.
Loads of places to sit to keep your distance.
Food and drinks are slightly price.
Sausage rolls are amazing 😋
D. A.
Very tranquil place to take your family especially for the little ones. Good experience for kids feeding the animal for only £1 a box. Great all-round 👍 👌
S. T.
My family and I had a wonderful time here. We spent around 4 hours in total enjoying everything including the animals, play areas and woodland. I was really impressed with the abundance of bins and hand washing facilities everywhere, they had even added little steps for the tiny tots to wash their hands easily which I thought was very thoughtful. We had an age range of 2-60 in our family group and every one of us enjoyed the day out very much so. 100% would recommend it to everybody.
M. J.
Fantastic day out with an 11&8 year old.
Great setting, awesome animals.
Lunch in the barn was nice too.
See if you can find this birds nest!!!
H. S.
Visited with family to celebrate a big birthday. We all loved it. Lots of animals and loved all the play areas! Easily spend the whole day here!
D. C.
Good for kids , 3 pots of ice cream and a can if coke £13 pounds was a complete rip off !!!
But all round good experience
J. B. (.
For the entry price this isn't a bad place to visit but I couldn't help feeling a little underwhelmed. Using the one way system you could see everything in a couple of hours, a lot of which looks a bit tired. The park is clearly aimed at children, they are everywhere! So if you are looking for a quiet place to wander and look at the animals, this isn't it. We had a warm can of coke from a quite dilapidated ice cream van (the only vendor beyond the restaurant), we didn't go in the restaurant as it was expensive and all we wanted was a cuppa and a cake to be honest. Finally, I am sure the animals are looked after but some seemed out of place there. OK for kids but I am not sure I would return.
C. F.
It is a prominent place there is a shop nearby where you get buy teddy and some food (wine, farm-made fresh bread) and many cool looking animals. This place is great for kids and family, even elders for a nice cup of tea. I do say finding the area was a little tricky as my google map taken me to drive through the fields as it already got track marks, so at least I got there and found the parking place to park, and it was just a case of walking to the area.
A. K.
Fantastic day on Monday!! Hannah & her friend along with her Dad & I had a really wonderful day !! Loved All the fantastic additions & all our old friends Xxx great space & shelter for all the animals !! little foot has been a firm favourite & it was wonderful to see her so strong & gorgeous!! Xxx my Hannah made a beautiful Jimmy's farm cake for us to have on our picnic!! Photo enclosed xxx
L. R.
One of my favourite places to visit.
It's a great day out for all the family and the restaurant is superb
K. B.
This was a great place to visit. Lots of animals mainly goat and sheep... but still more exotic things like monkeys and snakes too. I'd recommend only buying 1 bag of feed for the animals, we bought 2 and it was far too much... also if you arrive after 12 the animals are already full from the last 2 hours worth of food they got!
T. A.
Lovely day out was very surprised how lovely this place is and many hours of entertainment including building shelters with logs, lovely well looked after animals which we fed and even a play area for the children. Would highly recommend to go here and would definitely go back.
J. N.
Best few hours we've spent in a long time, very impressive layout and obviously happy variety of animals which were very friendly and approachable. The conservation efforts were also impressive with details about how endangered the animals there are. We didn't have children but enjoyed it immensely just the two of us.
a. d.
We visited yesterday, this place is fantastic. Amazing price, very clean and organised. Sanitizers throughout the park including plenty of hand washing stations. Plenty of green space to sit down and chill with a coffee, lovely little park area for the kids. Nice range of animals and some good stories for environmental issues. Only problem we had was all the bins were for normal waste and there wasn't any recycling bins around. Alot of space for potential growth aswell, amazing woodland walk. I would certainly rate it in my Top 5 zoos/wildlife parks for the UK. The whole area was calm and beautiful. I would like to know more about the old hall they have on the grounds, sadly that looks to of been out of use for many years
M. C.
We had a lovely afternoon at Jimmy's farm. Always a delight to visit. Really nice selection of animals to look at and we are looking forward to seeing the lemars when they out of quatentine. We loved the tapirs today. They were so friendly and came over to see us. My daughters were excited to see a new play park being built too. So good to see that even with the financial impact covid has had, Jimmy is still investing in more animals and a new play park for kiddies. Thank you Jimmy and all the staff.
B. K.
This is a great place for anyone who wants a great day out. You probably only need half a day, but it all depends on what you want. The animals were varied, farm, exotic, etc and looked in good health with plenty of space. Clean and tidy. Good play area and plenty of places to sit. There is also a restaurant, bar...but it was full so cannot comment on that, other than it looked nice...and being busy is a good advert.
K. K.
Simply amazing!!!!!! The restaurant in particular is fabulous - lovely ambience and the meal we had, the pork sharing platter for 2, was just perfection. I have never eaten so much meat in one sitting, just couldn’t help myself, it was so delicious! The only downside was that we were given cold plates and would have preferred them warm. The staff were helpful and delightful - perfect.
A. J.
A great day, lots of thinks to do and see. Not just animals either, woodland walk with den building, tropical butterflies and now exotic bird and crocodiles. Of course plenty of play area for children, and younger children are well catered for. Entry is a little pricey though, but as the place grows it increases in value. It is always improving, and adding new things.
Back for the first time since lockdown, and so many improvements. Well worth coming back
K. H.
It was a lot of fun for the kids. It would be great to make a full day visit.
A. C.
Had a lovely day at Jimmy's Farm. I was lucky enough to have a 'Tapir Experience'. Erin, who accompanied me was friendly, very knowledgeable and took lots of pictures for me. Everywhere was clean, lots of hand washing stations. The animals all looked in great condition with large enclosures. Plenty of picnic benches around as well as seating around the play area which was perfect for younger children. A good farm/gift shop, a cute cuddly toy and sweet shop. Great food options, good ice cream choices and a beautiful setting. The weather was great, it wasn't crowded and there was lots to see and do. Only downside was there are no butterflies in the butterfly house this year.
R. G.
Really nice visit, good layout and plenty of happy freindly animals.
Good variety of entertainment and some really nice food in the barn yard cafe and restaurant.
Peacocks wandering about also added to the fun
A. F.
Good :- It has several animals. Well layed out route to see them. Very good play area.
Bad :-. Poor choice of food and not cheap. I suggest to take a picnic.
K. B.
Lovely day Out! So many different animals the kids loved it
B. A.
Great day out, weather meant some parts closed, but a few hours feeding the animals , love the meerkats, food was excellent , will be going back in the summer when it's a bit warmer
K. B.
Absolutely loved it! Me and my friend took our 20 month old toddlers and they had an amazing time! 😊
B. S.
Really nice chilled farm with lots of different animals. Not too big so its a great size for exploring with little ones and there is also two lovely play areas, plus woods for den building! We had lunch in the cafe as a birthday treat and the food was delicious. The only downside is the gravel paths, which are quite tough to navigate with the buggy
A. S.
Brilliant place with a wide range of animals. Was great to be able to feed some of them too. Great value entry fee. The aminals all looked happy, healthy, well looked after and had loads of space. Only slight downside was that there didn't seem to be anywhere to get cold food (sanwiches/salads) which would've been preferable to a burger on the very warm day we visited.
A. W.
A great place to visit. Really impressed with the range of animals here.
S. W.
A beautiful and well kept farm, animals look happy and well catered for. Food and refreshments for adults are good, with quality fresh products. However despite a stunning day weather wise there was no ice cream, refreshments or food suitable for regular families. Regular drinks, ice creams etc is expected in my opinion at a family day out venue.
G. F.
It was amazing the tapirs are fun the goat were cute. Basil the anteater was bigger than expected and the Capybara enjoyed her big pond.
C. C.
If have young children do go to fish pond and see dolly his really lovely and great man he was brilliant with my nephew and change for nephew catch his 1st fish if not into catch a fish do go down to see him and say hi.
Best place to visit.
amazing animals and great staff and make sure pop in to piggies sweets and toys shop great selection of sweets.
Make sure get members card because every time we visit its never the same.
C.
Great place to visit with the kids, the den building area and woodland walk was brilliant fun. Lots of different animals in to see from chicken's through to Bactrian camel's. Tea and coffee reasonably priced. There are plenty of areas to stop for a picnic. We spent just over 5 hours there which was fully filled with things to keep the kids occupied (and the adults when it came to den building 😁)
T. O.
Such a great place to go, had so much fun and the animals are so friendly.
Will return.
B. B.
Such a wonderful place a great day out for everyone to enjoy. Wonderful well kept animals, friendly approachable staff, plenty of places to play, lovely food even if a bit pricey for a special day out its worth it. My only criticism would be it would be good to have more shaded areas around but other than that fantastic thank you so much xxx
S. H.
Amazing! Excellent value for the price, lots of different species to learn about and plenty of places to stop for a picnic or fresh something to eat from the cafes on site.
S. M.
Really lovely place for children and adults. You can feed the animals and there are play areas for the children with spaces for picnics and parents to sit and keep an eye on their children. Lots of toilets and sinks. There are quieter areas in the woods and places to buy coffee, ice cream or snacks but not cheap. I always enjoy the visit.
S. C.
Very good. Was all for children really. Some enclosures didn't have animals in. Was good afternoon out. Shops expensive.
T. J.
A great place for a day out. Excellent food in the restaurant.
P. O.
Very enjoyable, great facilities and service. Good size pens for animals.
A. H.
Good place to spend a few hours with the family. All the different animals, play areas etc worth a visit.
E. H.
Fabulous place. Great price. Highly recommend a visit. Great variety of animals and activities for kids to do. Staff are friendly and helpful.
A. M.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It's like a cross between a petting zoo with the pygmy goats, donkeys available to feed and a zoo with the enclosures. The enclosures are spacious with a great variety of animals to enjoy.
We had lunch at a restaurant and the roast dinner was delicious.
T. K.
Very laid back, spaced out and kid friendly, lots for the kids to see and everytime I visit improvements are made to the overall experience. This most recent visit their were new animals, some new facilities and a new play area of all which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. They could do with upgrading the toilet facilities and providing more toilets to make it easier when the toddlers need a last sec toilet stop. Very good day out for those with young children 0-6/7 year olds.
P. W.
What a fantastic place to take the kids. Plenty of animals to see, pet and feed. Can't moan about the entrance fee either. Lots of picnic areas so take a bag or two and fill it with your favorite grub. Kids will want to go back again for sure 👍
J. G.
Had a great day at the farm. Have been taken my kids over several years and it's expanded a lot. There is a lot to see and do. Great family day out. Plenty of places to have a picnic or buy food and an excellent restaurant, options! Multiple play areas for kids. Animals are friendly, tame and easy to feed. Lots of parking.
s. d. a.
My family did the animals (because I sneeze) and I sat in the garden for excellent coffee and a nice beer or two. RESULT! I saved my admission and spent it on coffee and beer. The view from the garden is extended across the Suffolk countryside and I was never hassled or hurried. That's in late March so I guess that may change in mid summer 😅 I will report when we return.
D. S.
Great place for children and plenty to do. Big area to go round and reasonably priced. Food at the outside cafe was very over priced, a small Margarita pizza was £11.00!! Not very suitable for mobility scooters as most of the pathways were in shingle that was too deep to get about in.
J. a. R.
A lovely day out with lots to see and great for kids. Fantastic food at the café.
R. K.
An excellent day out with grandchildren - we all had a good time, relaxing, active, good mix of animals and outdoor activities, liked the new enclosures and the children loved the giant trampoline and new wooden / rope climbing equipment. Enjoyed a picnic watching the geese and swans.
R. W.
Visited 3 years ago and it was good then but now? Wow! It's so so good! This time I had my nearly 2 yo with me. He loved it, and we loved it.
Would say be wary about it stating it's pram friendly - it is - but it's also not. A lot of it is loose stone paths, where your wheels basically sink and in the woodland area there were a lot of roots to contend with. I wouldn't let this deter you but if you're a wheelchair user for example I feel like that is pretty useful information.
Short summary of our visit today:
The good stuff: The restaurant food was delicious, the toilets within the restaurant by far the best public toilets I've used in about 10 years, kids play areas are amazing, excellent variety of animals, so much more.
The not so good:
- Started photographing a lovely blue/ black butterfly in their butterfly tent, thinking wow, then shortly realised it was dead. Awks. But this is life and butterfly lives are short.
- The stone gravel paths
-Animal feed was more expensive than other outlets of similar things - perhaps paying for the box it comes in as opposed to the usual paper bag.
C. C.
I love this place. Children love it, since they can feed the animals. If you want to eat at the restaurant (the food is great), don't forget to book before your visit. Some areas for the animals could be bigger though, but they (the animals) seem in good condition.
M. F. W.
We had our sons 6th birthday party and what can, we all had an epic time. Bravo Jimmy. Outstanding on all levels, rangers, animal, the grounds, round house party room, food, play area. Best farm day out. Thank you for helping us create magical memories
C. 1.
Absolutely fantastic day out and highly recommend the animal experiences! We had 2. One meet the Tapir and one meet the Anteater. Both keepers went above and beyond and we're so knowledgeable and friendly. Really made two very special birthdays. Thank you to everyone... from from groundspeople and cleaners behind the scenes before and after, the hardworking staff checking everyone in and keepers and servers. A truly great day out for all the family!
G. G.
Reptile experience was very good. Spent about 45 mins with the snakes, tortoise, bearded dragon and the friendliest iguana. Food was very good as well. Massive changes since I went ten years ago. Thoroughly recommended.
J. B.
Brilliant afternoon out.. loving the one way system.. hope you keep it after covid. Saw lots of animals
Lovely weather and great social distancing from everyone.. pizza in the woods looked great. Going to sample it next time. Would highly recommend x
L. W.
Lovely place to visit with family. Needs more toilets within the wildlife park and a disabled toilet would help too. Cheeky to ask for extra £1.50 for kids sheet when we paid £55 for family to get in. Tea and coffee expensive too for what it was, with limited facilities for the staff. Having just one machine for all hot drinks when it is busy can take a long time for them to get through a couple of drinks.
P. R.
Great day out for the grandkids. Good facilities . Restaurant could do more child friendly portions. Mud pie was huge for 3year old Gravel paths not great for buggies. . But overall very good
S. H.
Excellent value for money. Loads of animals to feed and enjoy. Very spacious so easy to socially distance. Plenty of hand washing stations and sanitiser points. Highly recommended for any animal lover!
S. H.
We visited with two small dogs which didn't pose a problem, keep on lead , and poop a scoop. The keepers have enough poop to scoop !!! Loved the visit , I use a mobility scooter and assessed all areas huge play areas for little people clean very well maintained info throughout park plenty of hand wash areas, we thought munchies were expensive, however picnic tables available well done Jimmy it's a credit to you .And we travelled from York !!
A. C.
Nice walk around the animals, kids enjoyed feeding them and petting them. Went in search of food as we used to love the sausages and burgers however there was only overpriced pizza and sausage rolls. Unfortunately this was not gonna cut it, and we didn't want to sit in a restaurant so had to cut our whole day short. Also the pathways are still not completely accessible! Sort out the awful pea-shingle. The wheelchair was drifting all over the place and getting stuck. Next time will have to bring own food so we can actually spend the day there.
I. W.
We had a fantastic day here! I went to the place with no expectations and went away with a positive feeling and an enjoyable day! Will be going again! The staff were friendly and helpful and the park was well laid out. Thanks for a great day!
B. B.
Well, I have visited lots of Wild Life reserves and animal places, zoo`s and Nature reserves, because I am a Wild Life Photographer, now this is my honest opinion on Jimmys farm.
Do not listen to moans about Jimmys farm, the work and care that has gone into Jimmys farm is outstanding, all the animals are fantastic with massive enclosures, the price is too cheap, I felt very relaxed and content here even the little deer wanted me to make a fuss of it.
Where else are you going to walk in beautiful surroundings and see so many animals for £12.50 for adults, My Wife and I absolutely loved our day out here, the woodland walk is peaceful and if you take your time you can see the Birdlife in the trees and the different plants too, its not just about the viewing of dinosaurs etc, there is far more to see if you look.
What a credit to Jimmy and his dedicated team this is, Thank you to you all.
A. S.
Accessibility question.
On the whole, FANTASTIC farm! Great selection of animals, well cared for and good facilities.
Almost all of thr footpaths are gravel. For disabled or parents with buggies, this could be an issue, especially for wheelchair users to access everything on site. There might be one mobility scooter to borrow on site, but be prepared for some hard work.
L.
Lovely farm, little improvements needed like signage of where to go, amazing restaurant and farm shop, the fresh milkshakes are the best!!
M. W.
A lovely day with activities that keep families engaged all day. A major criticism is that it is totally unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs
C. F.
Such a great place for families, my daughter loved the animals. The only thing going against it for me is the stones all the way round. It is not pushchair friendly at all. We didn't go in the woods, as I had been told they're not pushchair friendly either.
K. D.
Great day out for young and old there is something for everyone. Will defo go again. Good range of animals plenty of room safe and clean . I think it's also good value for money 2 adults 1 child £35 all day bags of animal food £1 well worth getting 👍
A. M.
A huge range or animals were here to be enjoyed. Some typical species that are common in the UK, but also some quirky ones too.
Coffee and tea available. Both very expensive and of poor quality in the park booth. I can't speak for the coffee house as it closed earlier than we'd finished our visit.
G. P.
Fabulous day out! Fun for all the family. Lots of lovely animals, play areas and a woodland walk. Also a Perfect wedding venue set amongst the land surrounded by beautiful plants. My daughter has spent the whole of lockdown inspired by Jimmy (wants to be a farmer) so as a Leavers present we drove the 3 hours from Southampton ☺ definitely worth it!
Lots of handwashing stations and plenty of social distancing reminders, staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend lunch next to the pelicans 🙂
v. f.
We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely Jimmy's farm is, we spent a good 2 hours there, I loved the woodland walk. It was a stress free visit and would definitely recommend taking the children.
G. W.
This place is superb! Great layout, animals are in great condition, facilities are superb. Feeding the various animals was a great experience. Highlight of the day was Basil the Anteater, wanted to take him home!
O. T.
Overpriced for what it is. It's a good job we had a sunny day, but you can walk round it in an hour and a half. It was nice to be able to buy a bag of feed at the start and give it to the farm animals.
L. T.
Really great day out with the kids, staff were very friendly, the walks and the animals are brilliant and well looked after, the pizza and ciders in the after the walk through the woods were great, overall great experience and the shops are just as good
N. “. B. C.
First visit ever. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff in the shops are very friendly and helpful.
My only thing is that due to roadworks the roads were cut off which caused a lot of problems getting directly to the farm. Otherwise a fantastic day.
A. C.
Great day out. Animal enclosures are nice. New monkey additions are good. Beautiful woodland.. lots of snack areas.
T. D.
Great place for the whole family! All the animals love being pet ( apart from the alligator)
J. B.
I had a great Reptile Experience with Izzy on Saturday. I got to hold a variety of reptiles including a milk snake, carpet python, tortoise and tegu. I also went into the holding pen where I could see the crocodiles close up. The highlight was definitely Terry the Tegu who just loves snuggling into you. Izzy is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about her work. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves all things scaly.
V. B.
Had a lovely day with grandchildren. The bluebell woods looked a riot of colour. The animals look very happy and content. Favourite being the anteater and guinea pigs. Will be back soon.
J. S.
It’s been years since we last visited and wow what a change and as a family we had a great day out. Lots to do and a wide variety of animals to see and interact with. However the Camels had the hump !!!
S. S.
We didn't have time to go round the farm as we popped into the resturant with my 15 year old granddaughter for lunch but the meal was superb, we all ate every bit as it was so delicious. I had the gluten free ploughman's and the bread was really tasty, my granddaughter had the pulled pork bap and my friend had burger in a brioche bun. We then had a brief stroll round the gardens before we left. We're planning to go back in October half term for a full visit.
M. G.
Been watching this on TV and decided to come pay a visit.
We had a great day seeing all of the animals and had a lovely walk through the woods.
It was an overcast day but thankfully the rain held off and we managed to have a picnic in the woods.
It wasn't overcrowded and there was a knee way system and plenty of hand sanitizer.
Would definitely recommend a visit.
K. B.
Fantastic day out with the kiddies. One way route, works very well so we didn't miss anything. And there was a lovely woodland walk to go on aswell. Kids loved den building.
E. M.
Went with my boyfriend here back in May for an outing. Such a nice little farm, good selection of animals. Really enjoyed the green house with all of the butterflies and also the leemurs.
A. C.
What a surprise far bigger than I thought, a lovely place to spend time with your grandchildren just strolling round looking at all the different animals.
Side note plenty of picnic tables so would recommend taking a picnic as restaurant is a little pricey.
C. D.
Loads for the kids to do. Most of the animals are friendly and feed was only £1 a box.
D. N.
Not pushchair or disabled friendly im afraid. The entire publc areas/walkways are gravel, deep in some places and quite a steep ramp to get to the outer fields. Had to miss half of it as my mum was worn out pushing her mobility wheeled walker a d couldn't make the ramp. The animals that we did see are lovely and very well cared for. Lkts of pic nic areas too.
L. B.
A really enjoyable day out ,i took my 3 kids aged between 4 and 13 and all liked it ,I thought it was really well set out and never felt over crowded, all the animals have a good space, habitat and seem well looked after .
R. E.
Really good day out. My 1 year old and 9 year old both thoroughly enjoyed it. The play area was open and we were still able to feed animals despite Covid situation. The indoor areas were also open but there were no butterflies in the butterfly hut as they were apparently still in their cocoons. One way system worked well and helped with social distancing.
C. D.
Interesting mix of farm and exotic animals. Everything from goats ducks & geese to armadillos, camels & llamas, tortoise, meerkats, reptile house, butterflies etc etc. Cafe, farm shop, adventure activities and woodland walks etc
Plenty of parking. Only criticism is lack of refreshment facilities, cafe space and seating areas.
P. F.
Easy parking and lovely staff. The animals were ok but fewer than expected from seeing the TV show. I felt it was more a petting zoo than a farm. Food in the cafe was good
S. B.
Been wanting to visit for a long time. Finally did. Farm Shop a bit disappointing, not much choice for rare breed meats. Restaurant was great. Though ploughman's was missing pickled egg! Staff were fantastic
J. L.
We had a lovely day and went fishing with my grandson....with some help from one of the helpers. He'd been there 14 yrs working at Jimmy's Farm.
B. W.
Absolutely lovely, it was worth visiting, and will be definitely going back, so much bigger than I expected.
if you take a picnic there are loads of places to sit down and eat,
I was impressed with the cost of entry, considering most places are double the cost,
loved the interaction with some of the animals, I got to pet a turkey, never had that experience before, the staff were fantastic, they knew their stuff and very happy to answer any questions about the the farm and animals,
If there was one downside it was the toilets, the one we used was not very clean, toilet roll and other not nice things in the cubicle,
Other than that it is a great full day out, always something to do or see,
D. c.
Lovely family day out. Plenty of animals to see and play parks to use. If I was being critical I would say tea and coffee is a tad on the expensive side and wasps were a pain. However only minor things and definitely worth a visit or two
J. L.
I love Jimmy's Farm, always have BUT having visited today with my friend and her 8 month old, it is NOT buggy friendly!!!! The shingle paths are bloody hard work and as for the woodland walk, we had to turn round after just getting inside the gate. Shame
A. “. B.
Great day out with a 3 year old. Aim to stay for around 3 hours. Didn't bother eating there as thr reviews are shocking and food over priced
S. C.
Not much there for the price. Butterfly house seemed to have about 6 butterflies. More like a kid's play area than a farm. Probably need to organise more shade too if this weather continues. Expensive food etc.
I. (.
Had a great time camping with dinosaurs for 4 days.... restaurant is very very very expensive and the food is terrible. Big let down. Don't mind paying for food as long as it's decent. But the food at jimmys farm was worse than frozen food from the cheap isle.
L. A.
First time visiting Jimmy's Farm and having no prior experience of it, we had a wonderful time. Visiting just after lockdown, the restaurant, some shops and indoor attractions were understandably closed but I know they are reopening in phases so I'm sure this will start to change soon. They have a one way system and lots of hand sanitiser and hand washing stations in place.
Lockdown infor out the way, there are lots of animals to see with large well thought out enclosures. The wallaby walk about is particularly fun. There is also a woodland walk which was fun finding sculptures and it is pushchair "friendly" (a few roots required some extra welly to get over them or assistance from the other half but it's manageable - we probably just loaded up the buggy too much).
It's supper convenient and easy to get to as it's well signposted and it has a huge overflow car park. Absolutely recommend and will be going back!
D. L.
Is it a zoo? Is it a farm? Ice cream booth was closed. Weird set up. Each to their own I guess. Food expensive and not bad. Midweek, out of school hols would be my suggestion to visit.
P. W.
What a brilliant place the variety of animals was amazing
The restaurant was excellent very generous portions of nice fresh food
Grandchildren loved the bouncy park and the fun playground
It was a very hot day but did find enough shade
the only bit that was not so good it is hard to push a pushchair round in some places because of the gravel pathways it can be done but not easy
D. C.
Plenty of stuff to do, lots of different animals to look at. It was the first time I saw a baby camel.
A great day out and will easily come back.
K. I.
Lovely animal park. We really enjoyed exploring the park, the game shop is great aswell.
The 10 week old piggies where so cute.
T. K.
Have visited many times as local for us. Lovely day out for the family, lost my hat and sunglasses there. Somehow managed to leave them behind. Gutted. Apart from that always a good experience
F.
This has always been a family favourite but it has expanded greatly and all good except not so sure about the alligators, maybe it would be best to stick to the farm and smaller animals as we don't like seeing reptiles kept in such small areas.
R. M.
We’ve visited the last two years, and its a firm family favourite. Really good selection of animals that are very well cared for. No problems with social distancing and a one way system was in place. The only negative is the usually brilliant farm shop was a shadow of its former self. I was looking forward to picking up a few items but they only had a couple of cakes and sausage rolls. Otherwise another very enjoyable visit. Well done Jimmy and team!
D. I.
Lovely place to visit with lots to see and do. Food is really good too, especially as my daughter needs gluten free food, catered for really well.
A. C.
Having visited Jimmys Farm for various events over past few years, we thought we would pop along with kids to the farm area to see the animals - its been raining a fair bit so we loaded up with boots and hats etc. Yes, a few bits were muddy but it actually wasnt too bad as there was gravel paths. Upon arrival I was a little shocked at how expensive entry to the farm was (and that we had to pay for the small person), although I was thankfully pleased there was enough to keep us busy for a couple of hours. As per some previous reviews it was sad to see some parts of the farm needing a bit of TLC - but we still enjoyed it.
d. C.
As always a brilliant day out for all ages we have been five times this year with grandsons and by ourselves, plenty of animals to see very informative details regarding animals status of endangerment etc
D. C.
It's a great day out for all ages, this year we've treated ourselves to a membership so will visit more often 👍
C.
Jimmy's Farm is a wonderful place to take kids of all ages. It features 2 play parks, woodland walk with den building, a butterfly house, a new lizard house, a large sand pit, zip line, inflatable pillow, fishing, a hobbit house and small snack bar. The farm also has a variety of animals from pigs to rain deer. Jimmy's also features several small shops such as Joules, a restaurant, butchers and veg garden.
We have been coming to Jimmy's for years now, even before we had a little one and always find it fun. I would say you have half a day or more of fun for the kids, with a little retail therapy for the adults.
Sadly it's not all great news. For all the things Jimmy's adds it seems other parts of the park are forgotten. Such as the upper playground, the zip line no longer works, along with young play area no longer has the small bouncers and the lower climbing frame park needs repair. The biggest problem with Jimmy's however is that there is almost no cover from the sun! The upper playground is to be avoided in the sun and the lower play area is not much better. For little ones it is incredibly difficult to find cover, after all these years I would have thought more cover would have been provided by now.
So overall Jimmy's is very much worth a visit, but you need to bring plenty of fluids and suncream.
R. W.
Visited today (4/8) and enjoyed an amazing and informative Meerkat Experience with Tom. Will definitely return and huge thanks to Tom for making my pre-birthday treat so special!
C. H.
Very nice day out. Only problem is the toilets are near the entrance and a long way to run with a 3 year old who is desperate for the loo. Other than that excellent.
D. M.
Well worth a visit.Staff really helpful and friendly, food delicious,so many different animals to see.Plenty of picnic tables. Will come back.
E. F.
Excellent place to visit. A real working farm where you can get up close and personal with the animals, feeding them with bags of food purchased on site. There's a nice woodland walk to go round and adventure playgrounds for the kids. On the way out is an excellent restaurant and a great butchers shop with awesome sausages. Would definitely visit again.
T. L.
Jimmy's farm was amazing! There was so much more here than we originally thought. I believe there should have been a member of staff in the butterfly enclosure though because some of the young children were trying to catch them and the parents weren't stopping them. I'd love to come back though, it was beautiful 😊
C. J.
WOW - what a great day out! Jimmy's farm is a really excellent day out for all the family with lots of farm animals, and some more unusual animals such as Raccoons and Coati's! My daughter loved the butterfly house, although I personally think this should have a member of staff in it at all times as children (and some parents) where trying to catch the butterflies and were treading all over the plants in the process! The large bouncing pillow was also great fun! My daughter also really enjoyed holding one of the large African Land snails. We did go into the restaurant, but we only had a coffee and a cake/scone - which was lovely and reasonably priced! IN summary a very good day out, and will be going back in the summer holiday and maybe take a couple of my daughters friends too!
K. M.
Local to us but never visited before, was very pleasently surprised, layed out very well, you can get up close to most of the animals, we especially loved to butterfly section. Will defo go back.
R. e.
Great place to visit, lots to do for the family, shopping, food and seeing the animals.
A variety of animals there and great yoi can feed them!
Hand sanitizer is plentiful and good quality as well (not sticky and smelly).
Spend 6 hours there no problem.
j. t.
The family have had a wonderful day at Jimmy's Farm with a lovely range of animals. My only gripe is that considering this is a farm the only meat produce available from the shop was a tray of sausages.
L. H.
I absolutely adore this place! We have been 5 or 6 times now and there's something new or different every time. The staff are happy, friendly and knowledgeable. They are always happy to stop and chat about the animals in their care. The animals are happy and well cared for and there's a wide variety too. It's not just farm animals, there's reindeer, wallabies and raccoons to name but a few. The butterfly house was full of beautiful butterflies today. The reptile and bird house is so relaxing and the woodland walk is beautiful, especially in the rain as we discovered today! There's a variety of shops with something for all budgets and the restaurant is fantastic. There's orchards and gardens to wander through and a large play area for the kids. There's also plenty of picnic space. Our annual passes have honestly been the best purchase of this year! (You also get discount at other attractions if you show your Jimmy's farm pass)
M. A.
Lovely day out, really nice set up. Young kids would love it everything you would need for a wonderful day out. Animals, play area, woodland walk with den building, food.
L. J.
Good value and children of all ages can have a great time. Importantly the animals look happy in their surroundings.
S. B.
Took my niece and her children, they absolutely loved it. Everywhere was so well done. Certainly got value for money. Well done!!
K. W.
Thought it was well managed, animals had good space and enrichment. Entertainment was a great range of activities. I will come back
S. N.
1st post Covid visit. Park well organised with 1 way systems and plenty of hand sanitiser stations. My kids loved feeding the animals and den building again.
M. P.
I first visited years ago and things had changed a lot. It was a nice sunny day and there was plenty to see and soon will be even more. A reasonable entry price. The hot dogs and burgers were yummy.
T. S.
Fantastic place to visit! Staff absolutely amazing, our little one had to go round 3 times before we left ❤
T. K.
The most beautiful farm I've ever been to. The animals are well cared for, the place is clean and beautiful.
J. G.
Had a lovely day today at the farm. So clean, well looked after animals, a really nice time had by us all.
A. W.
Great place to take children, many animals now added to the farm, good value for money, has changed a lot since I last visited in 2008
Sadly due to COVID-19 the butchers was closed, will come back for sure even though it’s a 90 minute drive for us
C. R.
This farm is always expanding and a great family day out. Lots to see and a nice little retail village before the park.
j. G.
PLEASE, I urge anyone looking to go out and enjoy themselves and grab some quality food to visit here, Jimmy's farm is breathtaking and the food is delicious, fairly priced too, if you don't go to Jimmy's then you are missing out massively.
Z. S.
Lovely place, animals are well kept and there is lots to keep both adults and children entertained. Would have been 5 stars if the hot chocolate place had been open.
E. S.
We had a wonderful day. Staff were SO helpful. Especially the member of staff at the Camel feeding.
D. I.
Jimmy's Farm is a brilliant day out, lots to see, happy animals, beautiful gardens, it's one of those places you are just so glad to find. Highly recommended. The guinea pigs even have their own village :)
e. c.
Park was great, especially 50% off. I was really impressed with the variety of animals.
The restaurant, however, was another story. On the day, anyway, the menu looked nice, reasonably priced, given the background of the food. Sustainable, local, and fresh. But for a Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. It wasn't particularly busy, but we stood at the front desk for 10-12 minutes before being seated, and when we were, we just sat there for 20 minutes with no communication from the staff, or drinks order even. With a 2-year-old who's hungry, that felt like an absolute age.
So we decided to leave. On leaving, we walked past the member of staff that sat us, said Thank-you but seemed completely uninterested in why we were leaving. Shame. Will try again next time we visit.
A. H.
Amazing day with the family. So much to see and do and amazing hand washing and sanitising facilities. We can't wait to return!
J. H.
Great place, huge variety of animals better than some zoos. Lots of new enclosures being built and a terrific looking play area. Lots of picnic benches, good toilet facilities including baby changing, clean. Huge well done as going round there is the option of steps or slope in majority of areas making it easier for all. Could do with a few more benches around but great value for money.
S. S.
Lovely place my 2 years old daughter had lost of fun! Will visit again.
s. g.
Lovely day out, animals well cared for and staff knowledgeable. Value for money , shop prices are little high but the same in most places and you don't have to buy. Restaurants toilets needed a good clean only 10.30 in the morning so would of thought they would have been cleaned by then . But in saying that it was a good family day out and will come back to visit one day.
S. B.
Brilliant for children and adults. Well spread out. Lots of lovely, well cared for animals, staff are happy and helpful. A great day out and adventure.
A. B.
Very pleasant place. Really lovely location! We would like to visit again for sure
C. N.
Lovely place to visit with the kids.. food is of a high quality
J.
It's a nice morning out but for the price of entrance for the day, you soon run out of things to do. The fishing with dolly was great the kids loved it, as with the big trampoline. The animals were great but it's a 3hour experience at most and for almost £50 for the 4 of us. A little over priced. If it was half the price we would come more than twice as often.
S. H.
For what there was it is extremely expensive, the pricing is almost as much as Colchester Zoo but without the animals, we took 2 of our grandchildren to both and the only thing in Jimmy’s that got them exited was the bouncy bag !! It’s a good idea but in need more than just plastic animals in the woods. We brought coffees and drinks from the cabin near the bouncy bags and found it extremely slow and the poor lad making the drinks looked a little lost, god knows how he’ll cope in the summer, we’ll probably go again maybe next year in the hope that the work that seems to have started will be finished and then maybe it might be worth the money .
A. C.
Great day out with plenty to see. Good food from the restaurant and the dogs loved it too.
a.
Plenty to see and do, ideal visit with children and a good place for meals and drinks for adults, but, not cheap.
A. F.
Poor choice of food and over priced. Our 6yr old ended up with crisps and cake. Come on you can do better than this.
Play area was very good.
E. E.
Amazing place, well worth the entrance fee. Fun for all the family . Great play areas x clean and tidy throughout. Amazing information. Lovely woodland walk with den building . Just an amazing place to relax and enjoy your time x
J. G.
Spent about 4 hours here I guess with a 5 year old a 3 year old. We all had a good day, and the kids really enjoyed it. Tickets were half price in January - I think I would have felt ripped off had we paid full price, the whole place is fairly small and it really felt like you were packed in - a lot of visitors in particular in the first field and around the children’s play park. A lot of unfinished and not yet open bits in Jan 22 - perhaps when these are finished it will help spread out the guests more. I was disappointed that I felt like there was so little about British farming there, it felt like from the TV program the place started with some principles and that really all it is now is an attraction where the main consideration has been how to make as much money as possible.
N. P. (. P.
Excellent day out with the grandchildren.
Only thing I would say is you need to sort out the entry and exit to the animal area, currently the exiting customers have to cross the incoming. There's a big double gate to the left which could make a separate exit. Just a thought.
T. l.
Great day out today. All was very well organised and the one way system worked very well. Love seeing all the staff around the park too
N. M.
Very nice way to spend a couple of hours with the kids. Nice bouncy pillow to keep them entertained while you get a coffee too!
Some new animals for this year too.
S. S.
It's a nice place, quite expensive for what it is. Food and drinks inside are fairly pricey. But lots to see and plenty of playgrounds for small children to play on.
V. P.
Lots of great animals and lovely set up. Just be careful of all the gravel paths if you are in a wheelchair or pram!
K. V.
A fabulous place to visit at a very reasonable cost. Great to see the facilities for the animals, the conditions for all of them are exceptional...they are really living their best lives!.
Loads of work going on with new enclosures/updating existing ones...great use of sustainable materials too.
Make sure you walk through the woodland area, den making areas for children and other interesting exhibits throughout.
Restaurant is rustic and cosy, prices very good and coffee is lovely.
Numerous play areas throughout the park to keep children occupied and interested....a great place to visit!!
V. C.
We had a brilliant day at Jimmys farm, food was very yummy in the restaurant. The kids loved catching a fish, seeing the animals and the staff were friendly and polite. I have a lb who loves chickens and he loved seeing them paddling in the stream.
j. h.
Brilliant little day out, nice variety of animals, plenty to do, and good price wise 26pounds for a family ticket, would Definitely recommend
D. F.
A great family day out and felt super safe despite the Corona virus restrictions. The little one loved feeding the animals and following the woodland trail. The apple orchard was idyllic for a family picnic at half time. Spent a full day here and would still go back for more!
C. F.
Great variety of animals here. Well worth the money!
L. F.
Fantastic day out. I highly recommend it for all the family.
R. “. N.
Lovely place; clean toilets, fab food & reasonably priced. Thanks for a great day! 😁😁😁
S. P.
Loved that the animals had loads of space to explore. The Wallabys were obviously happy as many of them had babies in the pouches which in itself is an indication of contentment. I would definitely recommend a visit.
G. B.
Well set out Good for the kids
K. M.
Really good, surprisingly not too crowded, may not have got 5 stars if a lot busier but no real queues and decent animal to kid ratio made it a more than pleasant day out. Good and reasonably priced lunches at the restaurant.
J. R.
This place is really good, watched on TV and don't think that does it justice. Nice staff kept our 5 Yr old busy would say older kids would be bored. Looked like you could do experience with animals bur good day out.
M. M.
Jimmy's farm is good if you want to spend time wandering around with not a lot to do also thought it was quite expensive for what there is there
C. 7.
Had a fantastic day here with my family and friends, I highly recommend it.
T. K.
Lovely day, for the most part, at Jimmy's Farm in March 2022. Couple of exhibits closed or under construction, but am guessing they will be up and running in due course, or as weather improves.
My main concern and criticism is the park is really hard work on those with pushchairs/wheelchairs. The ground is uneven, hilly, overly gravelly and sometimes the tracks are thick with mud...You get a real workout! Also, there seemed to be only one baby change facility throughout the whole park (that we could find), which is strange, given that it's meant to be a family park. This proved a bit of a problem for us, too, as a little queue had started to form outside, when we thought someone was using the one changing room. Only to find shortly afterwards, when an employee walked over, that it hadn't even been opened for the day - this was at approx 2pm!
As I say, great day out, but probably only for when your kids are mobile.
R. T.
We Loved the 'Breakfast with Father Christmas' experience and a wonder around the farm. Glad we got to have a bit of Xmas fun in covid times. #xmas2020
G. M. (.
Great place, my daughter loves it, feeding the animals, stroking the guinea pigs, and feeding the goats, and sheep. Great kids area on good days, outside ice cream van. Butterfly house is amazing, Food in restaurant is top quality, treated my one year old girl like a lady.
D. H.
The farm has come on massively and was very impressed. But the ridiculous que for the drinks and ice creams spoilt the trip 45mins to 1 hour with just 2 very young adults serving. Up your service to match the slickness of the farm.
S. P.
Nicely thought out with a one way system, new animals since we went last, investing in a new area for monkeys and zebras. Food was very tasty and fresh but expensive.
C. J. L.
Very well thought through one way system. Able to keep to government guidelines and had a brilliant day. First visit and we will be going again.
A. C.
A nice day out if you have younger children. Not a huge place so easy to walk around even with a buggy. Dinosaur lovers will be disappointed though as only 1 Dino on the woodland route. Butterflies hopefully back soon.
T. S.
Brilliant place for adults and kids. Really spacious site, lots of washing facilities. Children loved it. Reasonable prices too. Would definitely
J. M.
Wonderful day out. My son got to meet the lizards with Izzy a friendly a knowledgeable keeper. They possibly need more staff in the catering department, but all in all a great day out.
N.
Great place to visit, so much for all ages to see and do but, it needs a basic food outlet just to feed the kids, not a restaurant where you have to book a table only to be completely ignored for 25 minutes as no one can be bothered to take your order! Not acceptable when you have a hungry 4 year old, take a picnic.
K. C.
Great day out with pre school or primary aged children. Will definitely be back. Would recommend take a picnic as food available very limited. X
T. C.
Visited yesterday and injured myself. Staff and the first aid lady were fabulous. Kids loved it, of all things the resident cat in particular!
s. g.
Great value for money. Spent all day there all for £10.00 per person. Not many places you can do that. Lots to see and do . Very clean and staff are excellent. Highly recommended
k. g.
Absolutely loved it,we bought an experience for basil the anteater and another the following day,we loved it and surprisingly I have never fed a goat or a donkey and loved feeding them, the anteater experience day one was so magical my daughter said it was the best day of her life even after going to disneyland America, she was so pleased, then we went back the next day to see basil and it was even more exciting, cannot express how great this place is,staff were great and friendly and would answer questions about anything of the animals,we are booking again even though were3 and a half hours away, defiantly recommend. The restaurant is soo lovely coffee and cake or Sunday lunch recommend it all
A. G.
Brilliant place. Great for families too. Highly recommended.
S. B.
Fantastic and friendly place. Lots to do and very large considering. Great social distancing measures in place too.
T. O.
Farm was great, especially for the young children we had with us. Good discount for buying tickets a day in advance (£5 instead of £9!) and included free coffee/tea and bag of animal feed. However, disappointed with restaurant - bad attitude from one member of staff and expensive menu, i.e. £8.50 for soup and bread!
C. M.
Wonderful family afternoon out. Such a variety of animals to see and we loved the woodland walk.
D. C.
Absolutely brilliant time here. It looks small when you approach the paying kiosk but you'd be so wrong. Den building is a must and everywhere you go the staff are happy to talk about the farm. The highlight for me however was the butchery, I was in meat heaven and took home some wonderful samples of pork, steak and sausages, not before eating in Jimmy's restaurant which was a great experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful, everything you want from a family day out. My son has asked me to pass on his thank you for a wonderful time making slime, the highlight of his day!!
A. H.
Excellent fun. Two parents, a Grandma, a 5 year old and a baby all had a great time. Good value and lots to do.
K. E.
We have now been twice and would definitely recommend. Lots of fun and dog friendly.
D. B.
My children loved this place! So clean, took a picnic and had four hours of fun with lots to see!
H. M.
Great place for all the family, good range of animals, huge sandpit and bouncy floor thing. Nice little woodland walk with plenty of dens to play in.
D. C.
A very clean and tidy place was really set up well. Highly recommend a visit
D. R.
Lovely day we all enjoyed very much, the animals are so well looked after, will definitely be visiting again soon
S. W.
Brilliant time with my 2 yo granddaughter, great variety of animals and the cafe is superb. The shop is fairly expensive but the service is brilliant
s. m.
Love going to Jimmy's Farm Zoo.
Even though we are local. Just going for a walk around the shops and a coffee is nice and not charged to so that.
The Zoo park is getting larger everytime we visit , with some wonderful animals to look at.
The woodland walk is delightfully peaceful.
N. P.
What a disappointing time. A very, very commercial farm, with "brand" shops and an overly expensive and poor quality set of products. The cyder was bland and weak, the roast lamb was overcooked and the potatoes were under crisped. It reeks of family friendly, meaning that everything was half-arsed to appeal to children. Don't go expecting much and you'll be fine and whatever you do don't bother with the farm shop, go online when you get home or go to the closest supermarket for the same thing cheaper.
The brownie was good, though the chocolate soil was more a chocolate dusting.
S. W.
Jimmys farm is amazing! A wonderful family day out 100% recommended. They look after the animals really well.
B. B.
An enjoyable and inexpensive day out. Great for children as includes a play area. Various animals. Pigs, sheep,Capibara, and goats are to name a few. There is the butterfly house as well. A lovely cafe for lunch and a snack food area also.
S. H.
Really good place to take young children,Fun for all
L. B.
Could do with a few more toilets around the park not just at entrance apart from that amazing place so relaxing and fun for all
M. G.
Great place went on 22 julyfor my daughter 11th birthday love it we come first time it open over ten years ago its changed alot jimmy worked hard we definitely be back we had a lovely day out xx
J. C.
Absolutely fantastic. And the food was delicious. A lovely place too spend a day with children
l. d.
Normal kids farm fayre. Some nice stuff in the shop but no sausages 😔 "we're waiting for a delivery"....... I thought they were made on site?
A. B.
Beautiful place very welcoming and lots to see and do there is two new enclosures open with monkeys and zebras worth the money and the time
S. G.
It gets better every visit. Granddaughter and I had a lovely day out. The "meet the" various animals were very interesting and staff were knowledgable.
R. F.
Great family farm, plenty to see and do.
Approx. 4 hours worth of entertainment.
C. C.
First time visiting all the way from Plymouth, we all had a lovely day and would recommend to friends and family.
T. D.
Great place to visit if you love animals, with or without children xXxXx
A. M. W.
Excellent day out, lovely woodland walk. The bacon rolls are pretty good too!
D. M.
Great place to visit for everyone, whether you have children or not. My grandchildren and us adults all enjoyed ourselves.
J. P.
We my children and grandchildren had a fabulous time it was just as expected. Liked that it's not huge but has everything you need. Lots of different very well looked after animals from Zebras to chickens perfect for everyone any age to enjoy. Had a lovely lunch in the barn which was beautiful. Great quality food at normal prices the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back to see the new animals in 2022
R. S.
A great place to take the family for a few hours. The park is kept very well by a dedicated team, and the variety of animals is wonderful. Getting this close to wildlife, and feeding some, is a lovely way to spend some time. My family have an annual pass, so we go regularly, sometimes eating at their restaurant, so we happily recommend the experience to anyone.
J. M.
Really nice meal. The squash and spinach tart and salad was delicious. Our friend had the plate pie. Delicious she said. We were surprised by the size. The name should have given it away 😂
Good service. Friendly staff.
M. A.
I have an annual membership here and go many times as there's so much to do. Ideal for all types of people including lots of activities for children and great food and drink for the adults.
R. D. N.
Very nice place, well taken care of, the sausage roll is amazing, staff very good, in special Stella from the store was very attentive and polite. Employees like her brings the business to another level. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Well done.
w. w.
Lovely day out. Lots if we'll cared for animals and play park. Downside was the restaurant. Long wait for food and parts of food cold on arrival, like it had been sitting about.
Best idea to take a picnic, plenty of areas to eat outside
H. T.
Loved it, nice to see the animals so well looked after. Children where so happy. Staff are great and knowledgeable, took time to explain about some of the animals. Very nice restaurant and lovely gift shop.
r. r.
Excellent place loads of animals and things for kids to do, cafe/restaurant also really good 😀
C. C.
This was a really fun morning for our group of 4 adults and our dogs. We really enjoyed seeing all the animals and some were friendly and wanted to interact, all of them looked happy and in suitable enclosures. The farm shop is well stocked. I echo what had been said previously that 1 bag of food per visit is probably enough, but my dog busied herself eating what we dropped so it must taste ok?? It’s fantastic to find an outdoor activity for all the family - including the dogs!
T. L.
This is a great place to visit . Lots to do for family and couples. Plenty shops to look in, retail and gifts. A good choice of eateries. You can have a sit down meal in a restaurant or a cafe offering sandwiches, cakes etc. There's a nice cafe in the forest offering tea , coffee and ice creams. The animal park is delightful with wild, and farm animals and birds, reptiles and a butterfly house. The animals are well looked after and all paddocks are clean. It's all well spread out so plenty of walking. My only criticism is now we're living with covid is it really necessary to pre-book tickets? I think this rule should be lifted. There wasn't a queue to get in, so why pre-book?
L. C.
Excellent day out with the kids, well presented and clean, lots of animals and play equipment
K. S.
Well worth the money
S. P.
We had a great day. The place is very well thought out, lots to see. The food at the cafe on site was very good.
P. E.
My kids love the park with all the animals, such a nice place with more stuff for the kids to play on and more animals. Annual Membership is really worth it if you live nearby, only thing I would say is I don't usually use the restaurant when visiting but the few times I have it has always been very slow. Took an hour the most recent time to get our food and wasn't very busy but food was excellent, just difficult to keep children entertained for that long waiting.
A. D.
Animals - very good. Our Grandchildren enjoyed their visit very much. We couldn't do much with the weather as it rained hard and you will get wet!
Catering - not so good. The visit was on the Friday of half-term in the afternoon slot (2-5 pm) and while going round looking at the animals the coffee station doors were closed and then going round the woodland walk, the catering area also closed. Surprise, surprise when we got back to the main restaurant area at 4.15 we were told they were also shut. So during the visit we were not able to buy any drinks or snacks, so this let the visit down.
G. C.
Apart from 2 toilets on site it was actually so good, there was so much to see and do my 2 year old boy loved it the feed was great the animals were very tame and behaved will go back again for sure!
A. B.
Decided on a family day out to Jimmy's Farm and glad we did. Was during term time so was nice and quiet. Plenty for the kids to do walking round the trails and seeing all the different animals and playing on all the equipment. The sausage roll and ice cream we had were all great. Overall a good value day out for all of us. Thank you.
J. F.
Enjoyable outing with the family. Worth the money. Lots to see.
L. S.
Great day out with the family. Loads for the kids to do.
G. A.
Lovely views and friendly interesting animals to discover, great restaurants for food and drink, must visit if you are ever in the area!
A. K.
Went here with work and the group I took really enjoyed their visit especially the den building area
R. G. W.
The roast was disappointing more for the lack of vegetables. Going to a farm I was expecting a good hearty portion only to revive half a carrot and parsnip with a spoon of red cabbage. The pie was really good but again vegetables where far and few between. The animal side of it looked really good but didn not visit.
R. T.
Brilliant farm, children can feed all animals and a great play area too.
C. L.
A fantastic place for all the family, loads to do and see, lovely friendly atmosphere in a gorgeous setting. Good value family pass so you can visit over and over.... we do! Lots of work carried out to make a one way system.
m. p.
Love Jimmy's farm, been many times for a visit or an animal experience, if you are an animal lover this is the place to visit and the experiences are value for money
N. D.
What a lovely place to visit! Excellent for family’s, and clearly thought out - places for the children to run around / stand on steps to see into enclosures.
We ate pizza in the woods and would highly recommend! Not super easy with a pushchair, but worth it.
The only 1 negative would be the toilets - the facilities were great but in all 3 loo’s we visited the actual toilet itself was very dirty. We were an 11 slot so it wasn’t end of day or even very busy (which was excellent for summer holidays) but each toilet was very dirty. However the hand washing areas all had soap and paper to dry hands and always refilled which was great. Over all a really great day out! (We traveled from Kent, was well worth the drive)
R. B.
Wonderful day out with our 2 grandchildren. Food in restaurant excellent .
L. s.
Lovely farm to entertain the whole family. Well kept and animals looked after. The bouncy pillow was a hit with my children. Even a bar hidden in woods!!
m. w.
Girls loved it liked the animals and the woods had a great day out
M. S.
A little bit too commercialized than I would have liked. Felt like I was at a wedding venue/working farm more than actually seeing many animals. But the animals on show were in great health. Woodland walk was great.
C. G.
Took my 2yr old granddaughter she loved being able to feed some of the animals
S. M.
Beautiful shops, farm shop, clothes shop and toy shop selling sweets also and a rustic looking cafe/restaurant
S. F.
Fantastic amazing place had grandsons 5th birthday party Lewis had a wonderful day Izzy lead the party of children around they were able to feed camels hold a lizard Izzy really made the day special for Lewis letting him be the first really great Izzy thank you had the most beautiful spread of food and drink food in a lovely place and party bags happy boy and children then more time on bouncy pillow great time had by all what more can a nanny say than a great day had by all thank you Jimmys farm
B. G.
Amazing place for young and old people. I just love going there. The potting shed has great plants and ornaments. And the meerkats experience was excellent.
D. W.
The farm experience was very good for our grandchildren, they loved it. However the experience was marred by the very poor food and what appeared to be poorly trained staff in the outdoor snack bar, food had to be returned, inedible. The resturant staff (later in the day) were a complete contrast, polite and efficient..
Shame to spoil what would have been a great day.
C. P.
Really good for kids and adult alike, plenty to do and see... really good day out and lovely weather, nice farm style shop on the way out, didnt see the inside of the restraunt but looked packed with plenty of people enjoying themselves.. the only bad bit would have been 5 stars was the wait for an ice cream or coffee... in a que of no more than 15 people was in excess of 30-40minutes... only two seemingly young, confused, undertrained staff behind the counter.. just thrown in at the deep end felt sorry for them really... overall good experience and would go back again... this time to try the restraunt also.
D. C.
Really enjoyed my afternoon here.
B. T.
Great place for everyone. Really enjoyable day out.
l. h.
Could do with some more rubbish bin around and few more picnic tables away from play areas lovely farm niece and nephew aged 5 and 3 years loved it especially the den building and crocodiles defentley come back in summer
J. F.
Great place for a day out with family and kids. Well managed outfit. Had a fabulous time there.
J. B.
Excellent for families with young children. Pushchairs are difficult, but no problem with two adults. If you like pizza, save yourself for pizza and beer in the woods! Great location and well managed balance between keeping it wild and user friendly, well done Jimmy and the team 👍
D. W.
Good family day out. My 2 children enjoyed looking around the animals, feeding them and playing on parks/inflated pillow
L. R. E.
Loved shopping ha! Spent a small fortune.
d. h.
Perfect place to spend the day, great for family's or even just a couple of adults who like animals
L. “. M. S.
Lovely place, very kid friendly. Definitely gonna come back in the spring & summer!
S. S.
Great afternoon. Maybe need another toilet block on the far side .access with wheelchair users us good a bit more difficult in the woods
R. H.
Had a lovely day .Beautiful place .would def go back x
H. H.
Lovely place amazing for children, staff are great patient and polite, take your kids here and make some memories 👍👍👍👍
C. W.
Been here a few times with the kids. Well staffed and very helpful. Lots of new paddocks/enclosures since last time and a good day out. Only comment was how expensive the food was and given it was a reduced menu could have been cheaper and more tailored towards a family taste buds. Not everyone wants to eat Nachos or hotdogs, burgers and chips for over £35 for a family of 4.
a. w.
Love this place me and my family go every year sometimes twice if we can great little shop there to 😋
R. G.
Interesting and pleasant time here, many hand washing/sanitising stations located around. Unfortunately it is not ideal for pushchairs unless you want to struggle over the stones and although we followed the one way system around as did others I had to complain about the forest area which is most definitely not acceptable for pushchairs with steps, tree trunks and mud stating it should be signposted for users to avoid if you have pushchairs.
Although the adult price was good I did think £10 to charge from a 2 year old is a bit steep. Because of this although i would visit again it will not be until a child reaches around age 5 to benefit fully from the experience.
The staff where very good.
V. S.
Fantastic park will be going back again this year with our younger grand children.so much to see and do.
S. B.
Brilliant place for a family day out.
Has excellent play area. Huge variety of animals. The macaque enclosure in one of the best I've seen. Obviously no replacement for the wild.
Restaurant excellent.
Not a good place for those whose walking is impaired in any way.
G. H.
There were a lot more animals than expected and lots of play equipment for kids. The only downside was that nearly all shops closed before the end of the day so hoping to return to a nice drink to find it all closed was disappointing.
T. G.
The wildlife park is fantastic and I would highly recommend for family's. A very enjoyable day. However the restaurant has the most shocking service I've seen in a while. I was well aware of the money I was spending but in my opinion you pay for what you get and that includes the service. They are so rude and I will never waste my money in there again. Wasted money I could have spent at another restaurant with better customer service and maybe a smile.
F. P.
Excellent Christmas markets. Especially Burning Desires for unique wooden boxes and gifts hand decorated using pyrography and personalised on the spot.
s.
Just called into the cafe and shop as I was passing. All very tasty. Nice friendly staff.
M. J.
Fantastic large family farm park. Great Value.
S. T.
Fantastic time at Jimmy’s farm. Our little grandson had a great time. Well impressed as we have not been for many years on how it has expanded and how well it’s all layed out so you don’t miss anything. Good value for money too. Will be back very soon with more grandkids x
n. h.
Jimmy’s farm was great for kids with animals good entry prices and lots to do like den building, farm shop a bit pricey but all in all a great day out!
K. E.
A beautiful park with a wonderful selection of animals.
B. R.
Great place, fantasic set up. Kids loved it. One of the best days out since lockdown.
J. S.
I had a lovely afternoon here today. Animals had lots of space and so did the visitors with a one way system in place.
Really have to compliment the staff who were so friendly and helpful: Emily and colleague in customer services, Amy on the meerkat talk, the cafe servers and chatty shop assistant. All were lovely and are the best feature of the venue.
C. J. M.
Amazing day out if you love animals and thw outdoors 😍😍😍
P. M.
Lovely farm with rare livestock and wildlife, a great restaurant, shops and trails.
V. L.
Excellent farm/small zoo to go to with or without the kids.
T. D.
What a wonderful place, great for all the family! Also, they're dealing really well with Covid restrictions, plenty of hand wash and sanitation stations and a relatively easy to follow one way route.
R. F.
Great fun family place to go and feed some animals and let young children go play. Massive sausage rolls and plenty of hand sanitizers.
S. E.
Visited Jimmy's farm last week had a great time lots of animals to see and you can feed them.
It looked like new enclosures were being built too!
There's also a nice walk in the woodlands, a children's play area , restaurants and gift shops.
Plenty to do here would definitely revisit
J. O.
My favourite outdoor area in Ipswich - love spending an afternoon here!
L. S.
Jimmy’s farm is a wonderful day out with kids. Everything is a comfortable walk away even with toddlers, it has a good play park and there’s plenty of friendly farm yard animals to feed and stroke as well as some more exotic animals to see.
The only complaint would be the on-site food post COVID. I completely understand that businesses have had to adapt and make changes… however the food from the cafe/ restaurant was overpriced for what you receive. I don’t mind paying more for responsibly farmed meat, I actually go out of my way to buy free range. I had the pork and pomegranate salad and for over £10 I was expecting more than some leaves, cubed tomato, a few pomegranate seeds, some dressing and a bit of pork. The burger was nice, but again I would say overpriced and the nachos were very dry. Next time I think we will bring a picnic
I. S.
Jimmy's Farm is a great place to visit anytime, but probably better in the summer than muddy December when we went. Plenty for the kids to see and do, recommend buying animal feed and feeding the goats, sheep and donkeys - emus we're more interested in my fingers 🙂. Santa experience was ok for the kids, but is done better elsewhere, though it's difficult to do well in COVID times.
A. J.
Simply amazing and great fun for kids to spend a whole day in the farm :)
H. D.
Lovely place and a lovely atmosphere. The only thing I would say is for wheelchairs (and probably pushchairs) it is a bit of a struggle because of the gravel pathways. We also found that wheelchair users couldn't see some of the animals because the fence heights were too high to see over which was a shame. Some other places have viewing glass that is specifically for those in chairs and this would be great to have. The play area was strictly for able bodied kids too which was also a shame. My son would have loved to play a bit too.....perhaps a wheelchair swing would be nice?
T. M.
Sadly this is no longer a proper working farm, it is far from the original rare breed pigs concept that Jimmy had in the beginning. This is now a zoo.
It is a good place to take children and that is what it is geared to. Facilities were plentiful and clean. There are loads of goats feed if you like that sort of thing. The restaurant menu was a bit disappointing, most things are just served with chips.
S.
Fantastic day out, kids loved it; great range of animals, seem to be really investing and expanding. The restaurant was lovely and amazing quality food. Highly recommended a visit.
L. G.
Lovely park. However, one way system made things a bit difficult when you wanted to get to other areas of the park, in a different order to what you are forced to doing. No sheltered areas from rain or sun for picnics. This is not a whole day out, so makes it a bit pricey compared to other wildlife places which gives a whole day's entertainment. Enjoyed the visit, but feel we have ticked it off our families 'must visit' list.
P. B.
Lots of animals-defo grab a bag of feed. The goats, sheep and llamas love it!
B. B.
Always a brilliant day out with kids ☺️ well recommend 😉
K. S.
Nice coffee in the shade looking at the garden. Very peaceful😀
S. G.
Nice layout, interesting animal info and good facilities for kids.
S. A.
Great day out! Excellent place for kids. I went here with my partner and she loved all the animals and their babies expecially the raccoons. Staff were so friendly. If you can avoid taking a buggy I would definitely recommend it. The whole place has lose pebble paths. NOT WHEEL CHAIR FRIENDLY!! (unless you have off road wheels) besides from this the place gets a 10/10 from me.
W.
It's a good place to bring young children, there is a nice play area and a variety of animals. The problem I have is it is VERY difficult to navigate with a pushchair, all of the surface is stone or bumpy grass so ended up being quite a stressful experience and I wish I'd have known that it was like this so my toddler couldve just walked. Cant imagine it would be good for a wheelchair either. Most of the hand sanitizer stations were empty and leaking and I could only see one place to buy snacks/drinks once you're in the farm. Overall not a bad day but I most likely will not come back again soon.
r. r.
A massive thank you for keeping everyone safe, the one way system around the farm was absolutely amazing and so many sanitizers around. Will definitely return, I couldn't believe how much land there was. The social distancing was adhered by the majority of visitors. I did speak to a family and said please remember our space
A. W.
Great day out for children. Every time we have been, they have added something new. Great value too.
C. R.
This is a great place to visit, very family orientated and great fun for the children especially the younger ones. Well organised, particularly impressed with the toilet facilities, washing and sanitising stations. There are also a very large number of picnic benches available many in shady spots ideal for a picnic. Many different animal areas and a great walk in the woods.Overall a great day out enjoyed by all and a little retail therapy as we left too 👍.
a. k.
Very welcoming staff to us and our dogs. The cake was amazing!
Will return on a warmer day and take more time to look around and appreciate everything that is there.
K. H.
Really enjoyed the farm and wildlife park. Wide selection of farm and wildlife though a little intrigued by the choices...wallabies, crocodiles, macaques and zebras to name but a few. Most importantly the children enjoyed their visit.
Only downside was lunch...gf, veg options were pretty thin.
D. R.
Great selection of animals and good place to take the kids
K. E.
Spent a lovely few hours here with family friends and young children. Shame the meat shop was closed when we visited as we would have bought some for our BBQ. Great for young children but could be a bit more 'buggy' friendly. Hard to push on gravel
M. M.
Been here several times and it's been a good day out.
Today was not off to a good start...
Upon arrival we took our 7 year old to use the toilets (only 45 minutes iafter opening). The mens were Filthy so we declined to use these and went to the disabled which was also terrible.
Unfortunately due to the nature of a child requiring the facilities we used then only for a terribly upset child to then discover that he had soiling on his trousers from the poorly services toilets.
We had to take him to one of the on site shops (expensive) to purchase replacement trousers.
I highlighted the issues of the toilets with the site "customer services" who advised that in the policy and accidents or damage to personal property (The trousers) were not the parks fault and compared it to falling in a puddle.
If we had falled in to a puddle it would have been own fault and not related to the terrible standard of cleanliness of the facilities.
Highly unimpressed by both the hygiene and the lack of support from a reputable location that until now had stood to be supportive of the visitors and their safety and wellbeing.
Please get a proper cleaning contract in place and sort out the standards.
Not impressed Jimmy !
D. K.
Great little farm/zoo. Animals are friendly as are the staff. Farm shop and restaurant are worth a visit too.
R. C.
Really lovely family day out with loads to do. You can easily spend the whole day here. The only thing which I would say is the trial in the woods we assumed was all dinosaurs because the picture on the map was a dinosaur, but there's all different animals. However, overall we had a lovely day!
M. V. Z.
The farm is pretty good, with some great animals to see. It was, however, really busy which was quite unpleasant. The pizzas in the wood are really over priced, especially for their small size. The cappacino was also awful. I would recommend that people eat in the cafe at the entrance, or ideally take your own food. The kiosk near the play area would have been fine but the sausage rolls were sold out by 1pm and there wasnt much else available. Overall a nice enough day out but wouldn't return in a hurry..
D. O.
Always a brilliant day at Jimmys farm, hopefully the butchers opens up again very soon I'm missing the marmite sausages
J. D.
We had a lovely day, great balance of animals and play area, kids loved it!
H. B.
Amazing place! And super dog friendly.
D. G.
We as a family really loved it's fantastic setting , lots ot animals, good food, quick and very friendly service. The park is well laid out with hygiene wash points and information about the animals, just would like more pigs in the trail,as your farm is about rare breeds and you are a pig farm.
Will return as loved it.
A. P.
Lovely restaurant and shop with butchery. Zoo farm and play equipment great for kids, enough here to occupy most of a sunny day.

Great place overall really enjoyed it .
Lots to see, lots of plat areas for the children.
I would say though for people using pushchairs especially disability ones its not very easy to monuve as there's lots of gravel.
I have to sat the restaurant is good wouldn't say the same for the refreshment stall , terrible coffee, not very good service, very rude member of staff.

We took our 2 grandchildren boy 7 and the girl is 12. We were pleasantly surprised there are a lot more animals there. The only thing that we had to look hard for was the fishing which is hidden away in a corner. Both my husband and myself have walking difficulties and found that we couldn't park close to the entrance as they only have a few disabled parking spaces. We also found that we couldn't make it around all of the site and if we had taken our mobility scooters the hills would have been too much for them and the gravel paths. They do have one large mobility scooter to hire but I didn't see it advertised anywhere plus they could do with more than just one. At the end of the day we all had a lovely time even if hubby and myself fell asleep as soon as we got home.

Very good and well laid out attraction. Paths well maintained and one way system in place. Inside attractions closed due to covid but rest all easily accessible. Several outlets on site and food available but a bit pricey in my opinion. Really great place for young children and very safe. Walked slowly round stopping at all enclosures and had a snack in about 2.5 hours but you could easily stay longer.

Had a lovely day out with my daughter and grandaughter. Lovely place x

Haven't been for a few years and the place has developed into something pretty special. So much to see and do and educational as well as lots and lots of fun.

Great place to visit, not super huge so won't take a whole day so can have time to get food at the restaurant or visit Suffolk Food Hall that's near by. It's always expanding and also has some new animals to see!

Visited only for a coffee. Will go back and see the park at some point. Until then 3 stars

My visit was on a cold day,but rather enjoyable. Plenty of photo opportunities and feeding of some of the animals.A little disappointed with the farm shop as was smaller than expected.Could do with another couple of toilet facilities around the farm for seniors.

Great place to take the children value for money

Had a good visit. Was a little too hot. Great one-way system, shame some members of the public can't abide to rules and guidelines. People pushing through spaces that made others feel uncomfortable. Would have been better to see staff reminding people throughout the park and not just on the entrance.
We stayed for three hours but would really like to experience in when not in a social distancing world. Good family day out.
Good ice cream.

Brilliant place highly recommended

Lots of areas closed off currently.
The restaurant is dire, +1 hour wait for food and lots of dishes missing due to no stock. Portions are small but expensive.
Can't move for middle class parents.

Love this place, is more like a zoo with the variety of animals they have.

Very much aimed at younger children. They will love it. We were not given a map when we arrived. I don't think anyone was. So it was difficult to find where talks were happening. Talks were happening somewhere every 30 mins. But we only managed to catch one of them. The day we went several attractions closed including the butterfly house which was very disappointing as its one of the things my granchildrwn were looking forward to.

Fantastic wildlife you get really close. Great food at the cafe too

Animals are fantastic, food court is so expensive (£11,95 for a fish and chips)

Fantastic day spent here the grandchildren loved it but be warned your wallet will take a beating.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable day at Jimmy's Farm today with our granddaughter.
They have everything very well organised with a one way system in place.
There are plenty of places to sit and eat a picnic, also there are places to get snacks and drinks.
The staff are all friendly and helpful.
We will definitely be going again!

We all enjoyed our day even the rain didn't dampen our spirit's, there's lots of animals to feed, £1 for bag of food.. The new monkey enclosure is cool, all said it's a great day out. I might be wrong but I'm sure there is only 1 toilet block in the actual farm at the front by the ticket office, this is a problem if you're by the monkey's and a little one needs a wee wee. We'll be going back again, when the sun's out..

A superb day out even in Autumn. A lot to see and do. Our little boy had a great time. He especially loved the big bouncy pillow.

Loved it. Much better than expected and will definately be visiting again

Jimmy's was rather difficult to find, it lacks sign posts anywhere but definitely worth finding. We had a great time there. Good exercise whilst walking around and a lot of thought has gone into the farm. Great place for kids to run about.

This is an absolutely great place for children, especially those on the younger side. The play ground and animals were all great. The only downside I would say is that alll the pathways are gravely, considering this place is directed towards younger children, this is incredibly unpushchair friendly, it was very hard to navigate with a pushchair

Coping well with covid, as lots of good procedures put in place. Lots of animals and especially good for young children. Not so impressed with the cafe. Rather expensive and service could be better. For example, milk put in my tea without asking if I wanted milk or how much.

Much better than I expected . Not too big easy wide paths.

It was cute for our young son to see the animals and everyone was friendly. The bounce pillow and playground was good for kids - perhaps not for a tenner per person. We wanted to see the butterflies mostly but it was shut - something they could have forewarned us about online when we booked. Also, the Walk Through Time part felt a bit cheap and tacked on. Could at least try to hide the nails and wood keeping them altogether.
Overall a nice day out, but for nearly forty pounds for all of us, it was a bit overpriced.

Great day out lovely well kept animals, but the one way system is not preventing Social Distancing and seems to cause Moorcongestion as people were ignoring it anyway and cutting under the ropes anyway.
Our day was spoilt by very poor tastles food from the restaurant!
The catering manger came across very arrogant and non sympathetic when we spoke to him.
The food was a shocking considering the high price and the fact Jimmy promotes good quality food on his tv program's.
The food tasted very bland
We also felt sad that in this day and age the forest walk couldn't be made accesable for wheel chair users safely with a bit of work and thought. This whole area was a No Go area for our Son who has an electric powerd chair.
One last thing was the Toilets in the restaurant were filthy & should be deep cleaned regularly!

We had a lovely time visiting Jimmys Farm, whilst on holiday from Kent. Feeding the goats & sheep was particularly enjoyable & I'm 54!
The meerkat were entering too.
Food was great, I recommend the rare breed pork burgers. Will come back again.

Great day out for all the family. We started with lunch which was delicious and reasonably priced. Good vegan and gluten free options available. We then walked around the delightful farm feeding the animals and looking at the pigs! Very cute. Wish we had more time to build a fort in the woodlands walk... Will start there first next time!

Enjoyably day out, great for the little one's, as well as oldies 😀
