June 2022. Hadn't planned to visit. Only in the area following shopping. Whist waiting on a delayed bus I peeked inside. I was surprised to see such a valued place in such a rundown, residential area where there's graffiti all over infrastructure! Definitely worth a visit though. Entry is free! The staff member gave me a quick tour around and was knowledgeable on all things train. If I'd not been weighed down with shopping I'd have gone on a train ride from there to Middleton Park where the train travels to. Tickets:-Adult £7, child £3, and family £18. Prices vary on ticket type so always check website beforehand. Also there is free parking, public toliets and shop. This small railway history isn't well known about according to the staff member. Could be one of Leeds secret little gems!

A fantastic place to visit.
It was the first railway, in 1758, to be authorised by an Act of Parliament.
It was the first standard gauge railway to be preserved, by students from the University.
