Reviews of Jewry Wall Museum
Very interesting bath house ruins, shame the museum wasn't open, we will definitely return after February. The St Nicholas Circle car park is a lot on the expensive side. Revisited today and didn't see the sign on the web site that it was still closed, I hope the refurbishments are better than excellent given the length of time they are taking.
I have been to this museum many times and am greatly looking forward to seeing it once it reopens next year after it's extensive redevelopment and extension.
Roman empire history dated 150 AD, once UK was under Roman rule, during that time it was a conventional centre for people, meeting place,
It was discovered in 1936 by British Architect,
If you like old things, walking and especially if you like doing them at the same time. There's a good probability that you're going to like doing both here...
Ralph.
A great place to visit full of Leicester's Roman past. Real mosaics unearthed in the city and that amazing wall and grounds.
Disappointing that it was closed again (open Feb-Oct). Visited Leicester twice now and hoped to visit the museum but each time unable to.
Very cool ruin, but closed until further notice. So I can't say much about the museum.
Nice site (probably one of the oldest sites in the Midlands) very well kept and lots of activities for children and adults.
Nice peice of Roman English history, with a small museum near by worth a visit if it's open.
It'd get five stars but the building surrounding it is a bit too dystopian for my liking.
Nice place n attached museum. Learn abt ancient civilisation. Can spend 2+ hours.
The museum is historically significant, informative, we had a great time, we would recommend it to everyone!
Very cool ruin, but closed until further notice. So I can't say much about the museum.
The site looks magnificent, but it's closed.
A very interesting museum, even has children's actives.
Fascinating museum. Closes for refurbishment for 2 years 31st July 2017.
Great place to visit in Leicester city center full of Historical significance
Lovely place for me and my daughter
Done the best they can with a very limited budget. Very dated
Went there as a kid, still remember it. Want to go again!!!
Brilliant little museum, packed with history.
Lovely place for me and my daughter
Really great museum with a very large collection of Roman, Saxon, medieval and iron age artifacts.
Done the best they can with a very limited budget. Very dated
I think that wall is 2000 years old. A Roman wall or a city wall or a wall of a building.
Great place and very welcoming

Fantastic
It's the oldest standing structure in Leicester which I think is cool. The museum is good, at least by 20th-century standards. If you're a real history buff than I'd recommend it, but if you're on a day trip to Leicester I think there are places to spend your day.
Nice

Stone walls and brick structures in the Roman era
It is the remains of some existing Roman baths.
Ancient architecture is always fascinating
Unfortunately, it is not open
I can only look at the back of it to make up my own story.

Excellent museum for all ages. Covers so much local history of the finds that were made as Leicester redevelops and of course the Roman baths that were discovered and can be viewed on the site. Plenty of information for all ages and displays including ones that younger kids can touch
There is a free museum near the wall which is worth a look.
Went here with my wife and we both loved the place. Really interesting to see how they lived in those days and what mattered then :) Would recommend a visit.
Again this was again Like most of Leicester a Deprived Part of the City, but Since voting on having a Mayor in the Form of the Brilliant Sir Peter Soulsby who's great Numerous Regeneration of the whole City and his Pedestrianising of the City Center as Well as his Connecting Leicester Masterplan, which will move Leicester back to it's Original Borders by the River and Canal which ended up being moved by Beechings Railways Cuts and Installing a Ring Road which cut Leicester in 2, Leaving the Jewry Wall outside the City Center, it's now receiving a multi-million Pound Restoration and thanks to Peter Soulsbys Connecting Leicester, the Jewry Wall is Back in the City Center and is an Amazing Venue to not only Learn but See items from Leicesters Roman Past, even Better following a Huge New Development of Hotels, Offices and Apartments, a Huge Number of Roman Villas where Discovered among numerous other items, and all this will add even more of a Great Experience to Leicesters Jewry Wall!!
This museum is quite hidden away. Which is a shame. Its really small but they do children activates here. There a small gift shop. The staff seemed nice. I'm glad i visited.
