Nice memorial, worth a look if you are passing by . Peaceful quiet place. Shame people don't seem to respect it though , while we were there a group of bikes thought it appropriate to put their helmets , food and rubbish on the memorial and piss up the back of it 🙄

The Memorial was built by John Pye as a tribute to all those who served in 206 Squadron. A beautiful memorial in a peaceful place. Perfect to stop with a flask of tea and sit on the bench enjoying the serenity.

Interesting small aviation museum with a DC3 you can go in. Don't forget to visit the airfield as well while you are in the area.

RAF Metheringham post isn’t as obvious to find as you might think. Located just off the old RAF Metheringham runway - the memorial is a beautifully kept monument, regularly tended too with a bench to the side. A little treasure tucked away, but remembered dearly.
