Lovely little farm for younger children. Perfect size for little legs to walk around. Large car park and always enough space to park. Animals are very well taken care of and staff are always happy/smiling and welcoming. Small animal petting sessions available throughout the day for an extra small charge as well as animal feed. There is a small play park to burn of energy and the cafe food is really nice as was the coffee. We will definitely be back for a another visit soon.
D.
Such a lovely little petting farm for all the family. Activities here from petting/ feeding animals to riding horses! Gardens & playground to explore! Onsite cafe & picnic areas. Reasonably prices throughout. Definitely worth a visit! It only lost a star due to limited parking & limited vegan options at the cafe.
L.
Children of all ages will enjoy the different activities there are but in my opinion the younger ones will really enjoy this place, specially hand feeding the animals and petting them. Staff at the petting area are very nice. The food is also very good.I would definitely recommend it for days when kids are bored.
L. S.
Our first time to this lovely city farm it’s got 2 lovely little play areas for kids of different ages there’s a little shop that you can buy food from to feed the animals as well as a cafe that does really good portions of food and priced fairly.there’s a green house where they grow plants and flowers so when your done seeing and feeding the animals check it out. There’s Guinea pigs and rabbits that you can go pet but it’s only on at certain times but for the little 1’s there’s definitely enough to see and do is definitely recommend this farm

Lovely farm, very family friendly! Nice play area, quiet sanctuary, animals looked well cared for, enough parking space and activities for the kids without getting them too excited. Café food was great, everyone was friendly. We were lucky that we arrived early and I can imagine the Café getting a bit crowded if full. But it was just all Lovely and will visit again.
P. D.
Good 2-3 hours out with kids they loved feeding and stroking the farm animals for 1 adult and 2 kids only £9 in good play area and can sit in with the lambs and chicks
J. R.
Great little farm with a petting area and playground. Very reasonable prices both in the cafe and the farm itself. Overflow car park is just a short walk through the woods
L. C.

Ive loved this place ever since i was a little girl and love it more since i got to bring my son and neices here the lambs are adorable and my personal favourite the cheeky goats and lovely cows also got pecked a few times (voluntarily) great day out with the kids.

Such a amazing little place! So Inexpensive, Staff were amazing, My little girl loved everything about it l, all animals well taken care off which is the most important thing! Best thing was my little girl got to ride the horse they have for £3!!!! Amazing!!!! Will be visiting regularly!

Visited for the first time in the half term holidays. Fab for little ones! It was raining when we went but I imagine it would be lovely to have a picnic outside of the weather was nice. The cafe was good but small and got busy quickly! The boys enjoyed feeding the goats and chickens and we paid extra to go into the small animal petting area, which was great! I’d definitely return.
M.
Took my daughter and we loved every minute, had a fantastic day, the animals are in good condition, well looked after and we had a nice meal in the cafe
J. J.
Took my 5 month old daughter. Not worth the price, pretty messy with lots of overgrown grass. Entertained her for 15 minutes but wouldn’t come again.

Lovely day at Acorn farm with my little grandson
D. C.
Amazing little farm. Cheap entry and my daughter loves coming here, so we visit regularly 👍🏻🙌🏻
P. K.
Brilliant little farm, great place to take the little ones, the grown-ups will love it too,you can get up close to the animals and buy some feed to give to the animals, there is plenty to see and do,there is a cafe and a little shop to buy drinks and gifts
A. P.
Was a very enjoyable day out, kids loved the animals and the big play area
E. R.
Lovely day out with the kids, the animal petting bit was by far the best especially with Amy Leigh she is lovely makes it that whole lot better always interacting with the kids has loads of information about the animals such a lovely girl and just such a nice and welcoming girl thank you so much!!
A. W.
This is a brilliant little petting farm. It's more tailored towards preschool and primary school kids as there is nothing to entertain the teenager. All the animals are clean and well cared for if a little spoilt by the visitors ( you can buy a bag of feed from the kiosk on entry)
Would highly recommend to visit the cows and outer fields when you are there.
Will be back again at some point 👍

Aaww fab place for all ages. It's 2.50 entry. 1 per bag feed and a 1 per person for handling session.
We did the handing session. It's great. Got to hold a baby chick, gunieegig, rats and goats. These are tined slot sessions as it's a call hut so only allow a few people in at a time.
Then walked round and fed sheep and goats.
Had a bit chocolate and dognut in the cafe but there was a good menu of lunch time meals. Also a little gift shop.
Good few hours out
C. H.
A great little farm, fantastic for kids. We took them to the small animal petting area and then around the farm to feed the animals and a great day was had by all. There is also a park, shop and café!
F. L.
Lively place - good to see care in the community in action. Been many times but its the first time our toddler has actually been awake - he especially liked the music area - hardly noticed the animals apart from the ducks and birds flying overhead!!
V. R.
Not many things to do with a nearly 1 year old but my boy loved it today. Staff are so nice. Cafe did nice food, very clean in there . We paid to pet the animals and we all loved it,the lad who spoke was lovely Highly recommended for all ages, would definitely go again. Thank you
R. N.
A nice place to go for an hour or so, particularly if you have young children. However, be prepared for lots of queues. Long wait to get in, and a long queue for cafe so probably worth coming with your own food.
One thing to note is that some of the main attractions like the horse riding can sell out if you arrive too late. At £3.50 per adult and 2.50 for children, it's not a bad way to spend family time.
C. E.
This place is good for the kids however it is only a small place but they have outdoor play area to. Plus its cheap.
The only bad thing I would say is you don't get anyone to greet you at the front near the reception area where you can buy pet food from and the first time & only time we came no one told us at the entrance we had to buy a horse riding ticket/token so when we came to the horses as you could ride on it we had to walk all the way back to the front to then be told they were sold out 😑 let's just say my daughter was a very unhappy person. More information should be given as you arrive at the front bit e.g tell us about horse tickets, tell us about what times you can feed the small animals etc we had no idea and we just seen loads of people pile out of a hut thing were they were petting the smaller animals etc.. that was the only downfall to this visit. We didn't know anything of times or tickets 🤦🏽♀️
Overall good place 😁
M. P.
Very, very good. Will be a fun and memorable day out for the kids, plenty of animals to see and interact with, good play areas and a decent cafe too.
c. k.
Kids really love it and so did we ha getting to pet the animals was a experience we'll never forget such a beautiful day nice gardens aswel an really cheap made me so happy haha
n. w.
Great place for the kids used to be free to feed the animals now they charge £2 for a horse ride and £1 to enter the enclosure I've small animals but all in all had a good day staff were friendly good place to go
S. W.
Nice enough. Can't see myself going back though. Cafe ingredients aren't fresh. Food had to be replaced
N. S.
We last visited here on Saturday 14th Aug.
We have visited multiple times previously.
Always greeted with a smile by the staff at the kiosk and all the other staff are just as lovely too.
Animals are wonderful. Kids love being able to feed them and pet them.
Entry price is more than reasonable. We, a family of 4, pay only £10 all together.
Animal feed, again, more than reasonably priced at 50p a bag!
Always a lovely day. Would definitely recommend.
M. B.
Always a favourite place to visit. Been with both my kids and now with my granddaughter
S. T.
Good place to take the kids you get to feed the animals to plus there's a playarea for the kids to play
P. L.
Absolutely amazing place to go with kids. Great little playground you can feed the goats and chickens. There is also a petting area if you would like to get closer. They have a great shop with free range eggs from the chickens I would recommend. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There is also big sink to wash your hands after the goats have been fed. You can sit in and have lunch at the cafe if you choose. There is an overflow car park 2nd right which is much bigger and takes you through a little wood which is lovely with lots of bins 🗑 which keeps it very clean.
P. R.
Lovely visit, children enjoyed it cakes really scrumptious, will go again soon
A. G.
We have been to Acorn farm several times now. My daughter loves it, especially the horse riding.
T.
Yeah it was good. I really enjoyed it. You can feed the chickens and the goats and stuff and it's great for the kids. It's only 50p for a bag of chicken and goat food from the shop and only £3 entry for adults. They've got horse riding and some other activities for the kids but we couldn't do that coz our daughters only 4 months old haha! 🙂
T.
Nice place for seeing the farm animals, easy walk round and a really good cafe
V. B.
Fantastic cheap morning or afternoon out. Only an couple of pounds to get in. There’s a petting corner and you can buy feed for the chickens, sheep and goats. A little park and cafe to keep everyone entertained plus you by their own meat in the shop along with plants that are also grown on the farm.
I have been bringing my children here for many years and now I get to do it all again with my grandson but this place is great to visit with or without children
S. P.
Resonably priced admission fee. Plenty of animals to see and feed, good play area for the kids to play with plenty of picnic benches. The tea room offers sandwiches, cakes and you can even buy plants and flowers for your garden. It's a good way to spend a couple of hours.
K. M.
Fabulous place with friendly welcoming staff. With the petting zoo session, feeding the chickens, ducks, goats and sheep, seeing the meerkats and pigs, the 2 play areas, woodland walk, field walk and the horse ride, this is a full day out at a great price - hard to find these days! Even the toys in the little gift shop aren't expensive. Plenty of parking, lots of benches and tables for picnics, and numerous little nooks to explore. Everything is really well thought out - Acorn Farm could teach the bigger more expensive venues a thing or two.
Two tired and happy children say thank you!
H. M.
Friendly staff, lovely place for small children.
K. B.
Perfect for little ones animals are so friendly and the prices are amazing
S. D.
We've been to Acorn farm before and it doesn't let me down, the staff are great, had a chat to the lady who was cleaning out under the canopy where the plants were and was very helpful, and another big shout out to DAVID who helped me take some plants and compost to my car, NOW the only down side of the farm is the Café it was very busy and not many people had a chance to sit down and eat and if you come in with a young family then you mite have a problem getting a table, but the thing is they have the land to make the Café bigger and the shop, but other than that it's great. Sorry there's no photos. 👍🏻
K.
Absolutely fantastic! Kids loved it, the animals are so friendly and the animal feed is cheap! Nice afternoon out. Take cash, the card machine is £5 minimum spend
M.
Spent a lovely morning with my grandchildren here today. Brilliant friendly place. They loved it.
M. _.
There are baby lambs you can pet! Also when we went there was a pregnant pigmy goat due to have babys anyday so if you are going you may see baby pigmy goats too!
K. P.
Lovely place to visit. Animals look well cared for. Enjoyed spending an hour feeding and stroking them.
k. w.
Great place for the family. This place may be a tad small but there is plenty to keep the children happy. With the chance to buy a ticket for horse rides and buying bags of food for 50p to feed either the sheep or goats or birds with. The cafe is nice and the menu simple but enjoyable. The gift shop is also well stocked. If you want to take the children out locally for under £40 with meals, entrance fee and gift shop money included in that £40. this is the place to go. They will not be upset going here our little one loved it.
S. L.
What a hidden gem. Good food in cafe. Friendly staff even though it was very busy with lots of children.
The animals were kept in clean and tidy areas and the children loved feeding them. Lots if cute lambs.
For £2.50 per adult it was a brilliant couple of hours.
Will definitely go again.
K. M.
First time at acorn farm , what a great hidden gem, not a big place but we'll worth a visit.
S. L.
Great place to bring the kids for half a days entertainment.
L. S.
Fab but don't agree with a adults paying to sit with there children when going in the petting area.
M. A.
Fantastic day out for the family and such reasonable prices too.
M. H.
Great place for taking the family, especially if you got little ones. A good array of Farm animals to see and learn about. There are two decent play area's, one for under 4's and the bigger one for 4 and over. You can easily spend half day here. Also, it is good value for money attraction.
M. C.
We have a lovely day out. We were part of a birthday party so we didn't have to pay entry but I believe it is very reasonable. I will definitely be back!
Would be nice for them to improve there food and drink offerings though. They would get me to spend more money if they had a nice cafe on site.
M. S.
We all had great time at Acorn Farm on Saturday , we will definitely return. We spent 2 1/2 hours and could have stayed longer, left only because such a hot day! ☀️ We brought our own food, but there is cafe and shop on site. Children enjoyed getting close to the animals and feeding them. 50p for a bag of food. Great value fun day out 🐐🐑🐎
R. C.
Very nicely priced to spend a couple of hours with the little ones. For me and my two girls it was a total of £8 for entry which included two bags of animal feed. It isn't huge but there is a little play area and a cafe.
C. A. B.
Love it here! We go often and feed the animals. My son loves it now he’s a bit older. The lady on the till is always friendly and welcoming.
Parking is sometimes difficult depending how busy it is but it’s a lovely farm
W. L.
Nice little place to spend the day and can feed the animals too
E. Q.
Great for the kids to enjoy the experience with the animals
T. L.
Small and quick to get round. If it's busy, book he petting zoo before it sells out and don't bother buying the food as the animals will all be full. You can manage an hour easy sometimes two and half if you stretch it out with a cafe visit and time on the play area. Not really for older kids unless you want to do some volunteer work :) wellies handy in places but you can manage easily without.
v. R.
Lovely place for kids, had my 3 year old ride the horseis and he went absolutely in love with them, we had to get him another ticket. Definitely a nice change of pace for a Sunday afternoon.
G. M.
Wonderful for young children, the staff are very friendly and patient with the children nothing is too much trouble. Lots to do, loads of animals, petting area, horse riding and two play areas. One for the older children and one for toddlers. The prices are very reasonable too, highly recommend for a cheap family day out.
J. G.
Went for plants. Always go there each year
Plants are really healthy and reasonably priced
L. M.
Our toddler really enjoyed it but it was swarming with flies I understand it's a farm but think something could of been done (like closing doors or netting over the doors) to keep the numbers down in the cafe and off food. We visited in July 2018.
H.
Nice for my toddler to took around, helpful and friendly staff and not over packed even in summer holidays. Parking wise there’s not much of it but would go back again.
P. B.
We came a few months ago and enjoyed ourselves so much that we have planned to return in the coming weeks. Cheap and fun day out. Friendly and pleasant staff, wonderful atmosphere. Loved having a feel of one of your lambs, so so soft! Will see you again soon!
c. l.
Kids absolutely loved it loads to do for such a small place we will be back again
L. P.
We all enjoyed our family visit to this great little farm. My daughter especially enjoyed the horse ride and being able to hold some of their animals, fudge the baby lop eared rabbit being her favourite ones.
K. T.
Cheap as chips. A bit small, can actually get around the place in a couple of hours. Great play area for the young ones. Clean and tidy, animals well looked after. Cafeteria is very reasonably priced and great food. Would visit again.
M. M.
Autism friendly family attraction with gorgeous animals all well cared for. Cafe does brilliant chips and toasted sarnies. Entrance fee very modest less than £4. Can be tricky to get to if you approach from the industrial park one way. Be sure to be on the road at top of estate or approach from Simon’s wood
E. M.
Lovely place to take children would definitely go again.
S. W.
Had a lovely day with the grandchildren , really nice to see and feed animals and girls loved the play area, overspill carpark much better to park main area dangerous with selfish lazy drivers not wanting to walk two minutes, the cafe and staff lovely only thing your child plates are to small piled with food putting kids off , noticed a lot of children's meals left ,but otherwise adult food nice .
P. S.
Great little place, cheap as chips and great for the kids, not as much do do as windmill farm (bourcough)or farmer teds(scarisbrick) but good for petting zoo and animal feeding. 1 adult 2 under 6 kids and 4 bags of feed for £7.... cant really beat that if you want something to do for an hour or so without breaking the bank, the others usually have extortionate entry prices for kid friendly places plus the more extras whilst in them.
S. C.
Visited today with our 21 month old and newborn baby. Great pram/wheelchair access. Fantastic no frills day out at amazing prices! Well worth a visit!
M. F.
Great little farm/zoo to take the children for a couple of hours.
Free on-site parking available including disabled parking. Not that many spaces and may struggle to find one on busy days.
Gift shop, café, toilets, farm shop and kids play area also on-site.
Entry tickets available from front desk, as well as additional tickets for animal petting events.
Feed is also available for the animals at a price.
Animals consist mostly of chickens, sheep, goats, rabbits and pigs.
Small meerkat enclosure, too.
You would struggle to spend half a day here, but other than that it's brill.
J. H.
Great day out for all the family. Children can feed the chickens, sheep, goats. Plus horseriding available. Petting corner is amazing where you can hold a chicken, guinea pig, rabbit, rat & pet & handheld a goat. Cafe also has amazing selection of food & drinks & gift shop.
B. J.
My wife and i took our two granddaughters aged 3 and 11 to this little farm. It was enlightening in this day and age to find a children's venue that does not rip you off. There was plenty of animals to see and feed. Bags of feed could be bought for 50p. We had a snack lunch which was well presented and at a good price. One thing my wife and i noticed was the valuable work being done by the many disabled people, all credit to them and Acorn Farm.
The playground was a hit, keeping our granddaughters occupied for a couple of hours. Those critics who feel this venue is not what they expected, would do well to realise that this is a working farm and not an expensive zoo. We will certainly recommend Acorn Farm to our Friends and Family. Bryan and Val.
L. T.
Had a great day out with son and grandson last week - just wish we had taken grandson's wellies with us as it had been raining heavily for a few days ..................... but you live and learn!
Staff were very friendly and informative and 2 and a half yr old toddler was very happy with animals - even wanting to help feed goats/sheep with his own hands. We DID need to help him keep his fingers flat and out of the way, but he loved it. Pity there was no 'Petting Sessions' on during our visit.
Went into the small cafe for lunch and I was delighted to find that they could cater for my Coeliac Diet (gluten free requirement) due to having a GF Chip Fryer. Excellent Gluten Free Cakes on the Dessert Board (GF Cappucino and GF Victoria Sponge) - so it would have been rather rude NOT to have a slice ;)!
T. M.
Good to know we have supported a charity
M. N. (.
The down fall of the day might be coming over half term. It was busy which was fine but the horse riding queue was a joke with no organisation at all. The petting zoo was rubbish in compassion to our last visit to, and the girl in charge of it can only be described as moody monotone and made us feel like we were a burden.
Like most places that start as a lovely day out I see prices creeping up here and the standards dramatically falling.
N. b.
Really good value for money!! Hands on experience for children especially the petting room! Kids love it, we even came home last time with a bunny rabbit! Staff friendly overall a lovely place to visit.
L. W.
Brilliant place, kids loved it. Staff and volunteers were so helpful and friendly
J. P.
Lovely cheap place to visit with or without children... staff friendly... always have a great time 🥰
J. C.
Had a great time, enjoy feeding the animals, staff were great, had lunch, food was very good, a great little day out.
A. W.
It’s a great charitable organisation offer a great farm for people to come and enjoy. Entrants fee is affordable as is the food in the cafe.
s. k.
Nice and cheap to get in, great place for small children.

A. S.
Great few hours out in the fresh air with the grandson. He really enjoyed the animals and the park.
B.
fun day out for kids. petting zone for small animals. goats, goats and a few more goats. same with sheep. then there are several pens of chickens, ducks. other side of the tiny farm has a ram and a cow and (you guessed it) ...more sheep. cheap animal feed to feed the animals. meerkats were the highlight on our visit. outdoor play area. brilliant quaint cafe for a hot meal or cake and a brew
A. H.
Lovely little farm that offer annual sponsorship of the animals. We sponsored a pygmy goat called Heidi who has just given birth to her son Bertie. Looking forward to going back again to visit.
C. L.
Great for young kids, plenty of animals to see including a petting area, I believe this is charged but a lovely idea. There is also a small garden centre here for those with green fingers.
N. W.
Top day out for little ones.
H. M.
Had an amazing day out staff are lovely even when my 5 year old accidentally let one of the greedy goats snatch a full bag of food out his hand and swallowed it all including the bag 🙈 safe to say ill be holding the bags in future 🤣1 adult 2 kids entry 6 bags of food petting farm we held all the animals and both of them had horse rides along with lunch and ice cream in the cafe lovely long walks around the site full day out and spent less than £30 happy mummy will definately be returning 😁😁
N. F.

The farm is in-expensive to get in and there are a lot of animals to see. There is a play area for the kids and the cafe is very reasonably priced too.
C. R.
Rather disappointing variety of animals but this is reflected in price. Definitely recommend the animal petting though, think it was £2.50 if i remember correctly!
D. G.
Fun cheap day out, daughter loved the horse ride.
R. W.

t. h.
Came here last Sunday 22/1/17for our granddaughters 1st birthday found it a bit run down and out dated not really got that many animals compared to other farm parks we have been to and not many facilities very small cafe some of the staff came across very rude and not very helpful some customer service training would be good as most our party had travelled from Nottingham it was a bit disappointing we would not be returning anytime soon.
S. W.
Lovely place. Great for the kids. Staff great and would recommend the canteen..
N. S.
A little dissapointed; an encounter with rude staff tainted the day. Not a huge range of animals, there are better city zoos within Liverpool
D. P.
Great cheap day out for children
H. M.
A great place to take kids under 10yrs where they can feed the animals
