T. L.Whilst wandering along Liverpool's waterfront one early Saturday morning I decided to have a rest in the sun in St Nicholas' churchyard. It was here I found the Blitz Memorial sculpted by Tom Murphy. It's such an evocative piece of sculpture that memorialises the thousands on civilians killed and injured during the Second World War in Liverpool. Liverpool was such an important port during that time that it was a natural target. Go visit and relax, take in the views and ponder on the futility of war.
