(Translated) The Hillsborough Disaster was a stampede at the Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield, England on April 15, 1989. A total of 96 people died, all of whom were Liverpool fans. The cause of the incident was that a large number of fans poured into the stadium from one of the entrances within a short period of time. The pressure from the crowd behind kept pushing the people in front towards the barbed wire fence in front of the stands. Some fans were crushed or trampled to death. In the 1980s, football hooliganism in England was particularly serious. They often trespassed on the field or threw debris into the field.
