Reviews of Fulham Palace
R. C.
Fulham palace is a peaceful green haven located by the Thames. The venue has beautiful architecture with high ceilings and quite frankly stunning decoration with period fireplaces.
There is also a chilled period styled cafe at the rear of the building with optional outdoor seating. Well worth a visit especially if you want a bit of peace and quiet.

We walked around the grounds and garden, which in summer... The walled garden must be gorgeous.
Will go back to wander in the house.... We did go in the cafe for a hot chocolate, which was amazing and in really nice cozy surroundings!

Really enjoyed walking through the walled garden, enjoying the best of the November morning sunshine first. Beyond the walled garden lie an impressive mix of large evergreen and deciduous trees, clearly 100 if not 200 years old. The Palace is part open to visitors, many of the rooms bearing the hallmarks and trappings of former Bishops of London. Although some of the rooms remain a little sparsely furnished, it is to be hoped that the custodians will be able to furnish them more extensively in due course. 5 stars in the waiting...

Fulham palace is next to Bishops park in Fulham. Easy bus and tube route and a good walking distance too. Enjoy exploring the grounds with children and adults as there’s always something to find. Events are held here occasionally so check their website for details. There’s a log garden that children can enjoy climbing up and down and settle down to a nice picnic with own food and drinks or food and drinks from the resident cafe.

An excellent day wandering around Fulham Palace. They have a large number of interactive and immersive features which includes videos. The staff also share their knowledge and expertise in a number of the rooms on show.
The Library is highly recommended in this respect.
The Palace is not large and is in fairly small grounds however the gardens are to be admired. They gave a number of Greenhouses which were unfortunately closed when we visited.
An enjoyable and informative 2 hours or so was spent learning and viewing one of the residences of the Bishop of London.

These gardens are absolutely stunning!
🏴Titania’s Dream - Fulham Palace Gardens
🏴Today Felipe and I headed to our second weekend exploration, this time is the nearby Fulham Palace Gardens, so close to our home.
🏴Our walk today took us in to a fairy-tale journey through the “enchanted woods” of these gardens in search for hidden fairies, those mystic creatures, perhaps left behind from the legends of the Celts, Romans, Vikings or many of other migrant cultures in England, nevertheless we seem to be chasing them today: Titania’s Dream.
🏴Titania’s Dream is an alfresco, interactive, theatrical experience inspired by Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
🏴We found ourselves in a forest inhabited by fairies through a 50-minutes guided experience in this spectacular natural landscape.
🏴At times during the experience, we left the paved path and walked on grass amongst the great variety of plants and vegetation.
🏴London experiences are everywhere, this city never ceases to captivate me. Loved it.

A lovely park (free to enter) surrounding the historic palace and it's small museum. Café on the terrace, big lawns, walled garden with a pretty orchard, a peaceful oasis.

Great option for a Saturday or Sunday. Not too packed, a bit hidden but well worth the visit. It's free but they accept donations of course. Also, the palace and the gardens are not too big, can be walked through and completed easily even within an hour but it's highly recommended to experience the atmosphere to the fullest and try a cup of coffee or tea for example while enjoying these historical walls and ceilings or the outside terrace in case it's sunny out there. Friendly and very careful staff during COVID times and good service. Highly recommended.
