The old disused Kingsway Tram Tunnel can only be visited by booking a walking tour through London Transport’s Hidden London Tours. Well worth doing - these tours take you to places largely underground that are no longer in use - it’s an odd combination of history and, frankly, creepiness.

I have just had the pleasure of attending a Hidden London event – Kingsway tram tunnel, hosted by the London Transport Museum. A fascinating insite into one of central London's historic disused transport hubs frozen in time since the service from this site ceased in the early 1950's. Carried out by very knowledgeable and pleasant staff from London Transport. I highly recommend this tour if you get the opportunity to get one of the scarce tickets!

Attended an, in-person (they have a bookable virtual tour too), Hidden London tour run by the wonderful London Transport Museum. They took a group of us down the Kingsway tram tunnel as part of an organised series of paid events. They're run by museum guides and affiliated tour guides. They offer an unusual perspective on London's transport history. The tours are high quality, delivered by well-informed guides, who understand the context within which London's transport network was developed. Fascinating for anyone interested in London history. I travelled past here for nearly 30 years working in the Bush House area and had always wanted to visit, so a dream come true. There is also a virtual tour which includes much more background into the development of the Kingsway and places the tram tunnel firmly in context. I'd recommend both, although this review relates to the in-person tour.

A rare opportunity to explore the usually off limits Kingsway Tramway Subway Tunnel. Amazing space and great to step y back in time and see a part of London now long forgot.

Excellent tour run by LTM. Staff keep the pace of the tour just right and include many stops for pictures and the explaining of features in the tunnel.

A fascinating piece of history - very well preserved. Amazing if you get the chance to see it.

Would've been five stars, if not for the lack of Jay Foreman dancing excitedly at the entrance and hopping from one foot to the other.

Very cool place. I wonder if it’ll ever re-open...
They did open it as an art gallery for a bit.
But now I think it’s just the occasional tour.

Right up there with some of the best abandoned tram tunnels. Jay Foreman no where to be seen though.
