Reviews of Proud Galleries

A piece of rock n roll history. Thanks to Javier and the girl from Leeds for their hospitality.

I visited the Proud Central gallery for the Dior Collection exhibition, although I discovered another photography exhibition taking place on the lower ground floor of the gallery. The ‘Sessions in Sound: Photographs by Norman Seeff’ exhibition which I really enjoyed as I’ve seen images that I haven’t seen before.

A few minutes walk from enbackment tube station this gallery specialisis in photography. They hold themed exerbitions through out the year. Down stairs there are a wide range of photos of rock stars and groups

Specialising in mostly limited edition ‘pop-culture’ photographic reproductions of ⭐️’s.
A permanent collection displayed in the basement and frequently changing ‘small-scale’ thematic exhibitions in the compact street-level gallery celebrates... ah, well....’celebrity’
Additional curated supporting memorabilia, ephemera and commissioned items ? add extra sheen for avid fans & committed collectors.
Fandomania in excelsis.

It is a nice little gallery on Strand. Very modest with a simple white walls. I have visited recently for the first time to see Jane Brown - The Observer, a photo exhibition. Excellent photography and the entry was free. I will definitely keep an eye on any forthcoming events at Proud. Thumb up!

The Strand Gallery is located on a quiet street just off the Strand. It's a nice, small gallery that regularly holds different exhibitions of contemporary art. As a place for hire, you're welcome to showcase your art here.
As ever, the exhibitions can be a bit hit and miss, depending on your taste so I would advise that you check what's on before making a trip out there. But if you're in the area, it's worth dropping by.

Went there to see the Prince Exhibition. Nice little gallery, quiet, not too busy. Free entrance and you can peacefully take your time looking at the pictures on two floors. There is an option to purchase all of the pictures as well as some books and souvernirs on the ground floor. But buying anything is not in any way pushed onto you.

Great gallery.
Lots of lovely paintings on display and downstairs some really great photos of celebrities of the 60's at very unfordable prices but still great. The gallery is free and the exhibition upstairs is forever changing

Small gallery with a steadily rotating exhibition of music and cultural photography and portraiture. If you like The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Twiggy and their contemporaries, then you're coming to the right place. Prints are available to buy for reasonable prices. It'll take you no more than 20 minutes to peruse the walls, unless you scrutinise more than average.

I really enjoyed Vic Reeves' exhibition (Hot Valve Leak) at this small gallery in February 2013. It's quite a small space - just the ground floor and basement - I'd guess less than 100 square metres in total, but well lit, quiet, and the staff were very pleasant.
