Reviews of Saatchi Gallery
T. 1.
A very impressive a good gallery. We visited this gallery to see the Bob Marley exhibition, it was very good and was full of his works and some of his equipment. There was also lots of very good pictures and peices of equipment used in his live shows which have never been seen before. There is also a silent disco which is a very cool experience. It’s over 2 floors and they are both full of things, it’s a little bit pricey but worth it.

What an amazing place. Went to the Bob Marley exhibition, it was brilliant only one gripe though, not enough information to explain photos. Nevertheless, there was so many photos of Bob Marley, many I had never seen before. There's actual pieces of clothing etc donated by his daughter Cedella Marley, music as you move between galleries and wonderful surprises. I enjoyed seeing the art donated from his fans worldwide. Highly recommend this exhibition 👍
A. D.
I've had a great time, it was a lovely experience. I do recommend this exhibition, this is a great occasion to see some of Bob Marley's work, back stage, awards from around the world and listening 🎶 he's songs at the same time.
S.
Really fun and cool experience at the Saachi Gallery at the Bob Marley experience. Playing his music throughout the exhibition, adding to the ambience and feel. Highly would recommend visiting the experience before it ends.
A. K.
Went to see that latest exhition about Bob Marley. I left feel positive and inspired. It was colourful, interactive and the music reminded you of his impact. I did feel that it was lacking a narrative or literal information about Marley as I left not know much about who he was or his life

It was my first visit to the Saatchi Gallery so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We came to see the Westminster Creative Collective children’s art exhibition; which definitely exceeded my expectations (Well done kids!). The gallery is a beautiful exhibition space with lots of powerful artwork on view across five floors. There’s a gift shop on the ground floor where you can purchase some of the artists work as well as books, posters etc.
L.
First time visit… I went to the graduate 2021 exhibition, some beautiful pieces of artwork made by students. I’ve added pictures of some of my favourites! I would definitely visit again.
P. s.
It’s a nice venue, not too big, not too small.
It all depends on which exhibition is on. The area and the atmosphere is a plus, as some nice places around for dinner/drinks afterwards. Won’t be as busy as of the other museums/exhibitions as it’s slightly off central.
C. F.
My favorite museum shop full of quirky items.
Recently went for “America in Crisis” - finished the tour in 20minutes.
Looking forward to their other exhibitions

Quite a good Gallery . Went to see the Bob Marley Exhibition . It was over 2 floors but well spreaded out . Had a good time
S. E.
Such friendly helpful staff. Beautiful building and surrounds. Exhibitions change regularly and are consistently good.
J. H.
Unique gallery which is free for some of the exhibitions. Always something different each time I go. Can get very busy during the weekend.

Always a pleasure visiting Saatchi. Today I visited Alo exhibition. Loved his work. Wish I had enough money to buy some of his work. They are vibrant and full of energy
K.
Visited THE HALO MASTERPIECE, very clean gallery, guidelines we clear for being inside and plenty of places to use the appropriate hand gel to keep clean. Staff were helpful and guided us to the right gallery
L. S.
First visit to the Turkish Art Week free exhibit. I love the gift shop. Spaces inside are very clean and minimal. Very nice experience.
M. B.
We visited the Saatchi gallery for the JR exhibition! We loved the exhibition for the scale of the work with buildings used as tableaus for the art.
The centre itself is in a beautiful building with manicured lawns. The staff were friendly and engaging and the gift shop has some interesting things.
The centre is as good as the exhibits so if it’s something you’re interested in then this is a lovely calm place to view.

It was my second visit but the first one this decade. Saturday and the market was on outside. The whole place was buzzing with a sunny summer atmosphere. We went to see the JR exhibition and to be honest I didn’t expect it to be as powerful as it was. From what I remember the permanent exhibits are fun and enticing. At the very end we had Polish and Korean dumplings from the market. Not together. They were both delicious. Polish ones only slightly better.
J. S.
Loved my experience at the saatchi! From the vibes to the art it was a great visit. I love the abstract art so much I must come back before the year ends 👍🏽 great for people who aren’t that into art but want to aren’t getting used to galleries 👍🏽✅

The RHS Botanical Art & Photography Show is the first presented there in 2021. The gallery is spacious and building itself is beautiful. Very friendly staff and nice gallery shop too.
K. B. L.
Just awesome! Really nicely put together.
This is the highlight of 2022 for me.
Thank you to Kiera and Katie for bringing this exhibition to my attention.

Pretty good value at £8 weekend, £5 midweek for the 'America in Crisis' exhibition. Shame there wasn't an accompanying book to go with it as the pictures were superb.
The comparison to the original late 60s photo exhibition of 'America in Crisis' showed how hollow and unreachable the Anerican Dream is for the majority of Americans. And sadly how little has changed for non whites and the poor.
Ultimately, a documentary portrait of the complete failure of neo liberalism and should serve as a warning to UK residents of the perils of privatisation of public services.
E.
Currently showing the JR Chronicles. Political, documentary, collage, photography by the French artist, activist JR. Really interesting, how he's engaged the ordinary person in the street in forming/shaping the works, and telling their story. Art "can" indeed change the world!
T. H.
I've been wanting to go for 20 years and so glad I finally did. Amazing building and gallery, saw the UAL students exhibition and was some of the best contemporary art I ever seen. Some free exhibits and paid ones are very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
G. R.
Fantastic very Large Gallery in Kings Road, near Sloane Square Underground, Great lighting for Photographers and friendly staff.
C.
Bought my ticket beforehand on their website. Came in, showed it to the person at the entrance and got my paper bracelet for entry. I will not attempt to rate the art but I had fun looking around at all the student work currently on display. The gallery was quite dirty however, masks and leaflets and other rubbish were scattered about.
A. R.
Not a massive art fan went to see the JR Chronicles and loved it. Amazing space amazing talent and beautiful images that tell a story of struggle and human resolve.
A. K.
It's quite a nice gallery and there are some interesting pieces. I would go again if there was an exhibition which interested me. Some of the art being sold in the shop is seriously overvalued. You might think that's just an opinion until you see it for yourself. The sort of stuff you could make in 5 minutes goes for £100 which poorly reflects against the more talented valuable art in there which would have taken a lot of time. The staff seem lovely and the place is clean.
N. H.
We went to see the much talked about Bob Marley Exhibition. It was good...just good...not excellent. We bought into the VIP Experience (eyes rolling). It was not! It was a cold room both physically and aesthetically and Bob wouldn't have liked it. I should know. I'm Jamaican. Don't bother with the 'VIP'.
T. A.
Lovely gallery ; worth checking out for the exhibitions . The market outside on the weekend is great as well! The RHS exhibition is wonderful.
B. H.
Went to the PJ chronicles. Excellent exhibition in a great location. Cartier exhibition on but didn’t fancy it. Tickets were £18 for a family of 4. Spent a good hour in there so no bad value for London. Experience will obviously differ depending on the exhibition and personal taste but recommended if you get something you like.
R. D. G.
I am not the biggest art fan but my girlfriend is, so we decided to go here for the JR exhibition. It was really interesting to see all these pictures taken in so many different places and for very great reasons. From the suburbs of France to Palestine and Jerusalem, Korea and much more. JR considers his photography a way to help bringing attention to countries or places that have normally not much attention, poor countries or abandoned communities. One example could be his work in Kibera where he has taken pictures of women's eyes and printed and used as big covers for broken roofs and trains to try and show how powerful that could be in changing the way people think about women and how much potential they have. I don't know for how long JR exhibition would be there but I highly recommend to visit if you are thinking about it. It costs £9 and there are 9 sections and a lot to see. It will be worth it (again I am saying that as not the biggest art fan in the world)
H. M.
I visited this place on Sunday along with my lovely wife and my two best friends and we were very impressed with the gallery put on a good exhibition of Bob Marley life and music life. His contribution to the world 🌎 will be remembered by us all for many years to come.
R. G.
Attended a pre opening photo shoot of the American History RemiX presented by artist Ben Turnbull. This exhibition shows his unhinged exploration of America's turbulent history. Some outstanding pieces well worth the visit when it opens on 16 June 2021.
C. K.
Amazing space and exhibitions. Friendly stuff and a store with wonderful and interesting gifts.
p. a.
Wonderful time at the One Love Experience. For avid fans like me or for a look at some Bob Marley memorabilia. Not sure about the authenticy of some items, yet still... very engaging, interactive and a well put together exhibition
S. N.
Went to see the Bob Marley exhibition. Absolutely wonderful experience. Never before seen footage was amazing and so nice to be so close to his actual things. Feel very privileged.
K. H.
One of the most visited contemporary art galleries. Definitely worth a visit as they always have free exhibitions as well as paid temporary ones. 🎨🙌🏽

I visited the Saatchi Gallery for a Private Viewing. It is a really beautiful art gallery. A very large open art space. Staff were lovely and attentive. The art was wonderful, I had a fabulous evening. I highly recommend visiting here. Have a great day 🌞
A. T.
Cute gallery and I think because of the location it's not as busy as others. Nice to go back every other year. Check the exhibitions in advance so you can book tickets.
M. M. B.
First time visiting the Saatchi gallery and I was extremely impressed! The location is perfect, as it's a short walk away from the National underground tube station! Thoughly enjoyed the One Love Experience too!

One of Londons great gallery apace, always a nice visit, helpful friensly staff. The current show by JR is fantastic and very well executed

Great gallery. We enjoyed the Bob Marley Immersive experience

The gallery is surrounded by cafe's,good transport links. Was here for the Bob Marley One Love exhibition.Friendly staff, warm welcome & help with tickets after digital tickets were not downloading.Lovely bright airy huge gallery on various floors. The Bob Marley exhibition was on two floors.Very well presented, really felt you'd stepped into Bob Marley's world back then. The soft sweet sound of reggae music in the background was really endearing. There is a lovely "one love forest" & silent disco. The disco headphones are set on 2 modes..you can switch to a reggae playlist or tune in to the music on screen. Also on show is the Marley foundation charity work & there were other various exhibitions going on around the gallery.Everything was very orderly.!😃👍
R. L.
JR’s exhibition is truly one of the best I’ve seen in a while, must visit!
C. B.
Went to see the Americans in Crisis exhibition which was OK but not huge. That and the free exhibits didn't take too long.
M. A. C. n. F.
I went to see the Exhibition of Bob Marley. Very disappointed with the experience.
Firstly it would of been better if there was New Up Coming Artists. There wasnt much information about The Wailers or Bob Marley just his Albans.
The atmosphere was very commercialized No Soul No Heart No Reggae Vibe even though they were playing his music. It just had No Soul.
I wouldn't recommend going but that's my opinion.
s. s.
Unseen pictures of the great Bob Marley One Love exhibition
B. P.
Fabulous space with a wide range of exhibits, both free and paid.
The JR Chronicles exhibition is particularly interesting.
Advance booking is required to limit numbers, a one-way system is in effect, along with hand sanitiser stations and the other standard pandemic protocols.

Good place for art lovers.

I visited for Turkish Art Week, and I love exhibitions.

Attended the Bob Marley Exhibition which was beyond excellent. The Gallery is amazing, the staff couldn't be more helpful, we loved every aspect of our visit.

We visited the Saatchi Gallery to view the Tutankhamen Exhibition.
Firstly the gallery itself is just 5-8 minute walk away from Sloan Square tube station.
If you come out of the tube station and look for the Hugo Boss store then walk past the store with it to your left then you will come to the Gallery on your left.
There are security checks at the entrance where your bags will be searched. There is no food or drinks allowed to be taken inside but if you have a bottle of water closed then they just say you can take it in as long as you don't drink it inside.
There is also no flash photography or videos allowed to be taken. I just turned off my flash which is better anyway. As it would just reflect of the glass.
There is a cloakroom at the entrance but they charge between £1-3.
There is a cafe and toilets inside also on the ground floor.
The exhibition is amazing and well worth the money. There are over 150 artifacts from Tutankhamen's Tomb displayed in the exhibition. So amazing to see these along with the photographs from when Carter discovered the tomb.
I would recommend going here to see the artifacts which are in beautiful condition. As they will all be in the new museum in Ciro later in the year.
I have taken loads of pictures of the exhibits and descriptions. So you can have a taste of what to expect. I have probably gone a bit trigger happy and took pictures of most of the exhibition.
I hope this review and pictures help you and if it does please like this review.

Visited the Bob Marley experience and found the gallery to be warm and welcoming. The exhibition was amazing and it turned into a thoroughly enjoyable day out
J. K.
A wonderful architectural building with different, new and exciting modern art exhibitions. In addition Chelsea and Sloane Square is a vibrant area to visit.
c. s.
An oasis, just off the King's Road. Wonderful building and the MA degree show had some highlights.
T. S.
This is a fantastic place we visited the Tutankhamun exhibition in March 2020
Its in a lovely setting with space to queue and grass area in front and some outdoor table and chairs.
It has a number (5?) of different galleries on two floors and a shop . It has a cafe downstairs(not visited) The cloakroom(not used) seemed expensive to leave coats and bags. Their are two flights of stairs between floors and some narrow landings maybe not not good for those with vertigo. There are lift(s) (not used)
.
L. P.
Definitely worth more than a visit!
I recommend you keep checking the gallery's website for all the new exhibitions
N. E.
I visited here for the exhibition of King Tutankhamun's treasure and it was absolutely amazing. All of the intricate detailing and well thought out items, for their time. I would also highly recommend the virtual tour, especially for people who haven't had the chance to visit the actual tomb. It is so brilliant!
g. g.
Really nice gallery currently exhibiting a number of different young contemporary artists. Very well curated spaces with the right amount of pieces. Most exhibitions are free apart from certain smaller galleries where a 1-2 pounds ticket is required. Over all a cool place to visit and spend 1-1:30 h
S. A.
Large exhibition, worth the money

It was my first time at the Saatchi Gallery and I was absolutely in awe of JR‘a Collection. You will miss out if you don’t Go! Also check out JR‘s ongoing inside out project.
C. H.
A delightful gallery that’s always worth visiting when in the area. They had a wonderful exhibition about Tutankhamen when I visited and they did an excellent job of showcasing the artefacts, trinkets and treasures and telling his story. They do a great job of fitting each room with exhibitions that naturally lead on to each other and guide the public through it at their own pace.
M. D.
Went to the Saatchi Gallery to see the Tutankhamun exhibition. The display lacked the iconic death mask but contained hundreds of beautifully crafted and fascinating pieces. Moving around the exhibition requires patience as it seems the entire world wants to take this last chance to view the collection outside of Egypt. It was crowded, but for the most part orderly. We were able to get a good look at everything and were very glad we were able to see the astonishing display.
L. B.
The gallery is in a great location and the entry process for the Tutenkamun exhibition was well managed. The exhibits looked amazing but it was just so busy in the rooms it really detracted from the experience. It was hard to get a chance just to look. The cafe was expensive and the coffee was awful, although would recommend the carrot cake. The whole thing felt a bit like an opportunity to just milk as much money out of you as possible, photo at the beginning, virtual reality tour, cloak room charges -£1 to leave a brolly!! Glad we visited and have seen the amazing objects but wish we had booked a later, quieter slot.
G. D.
Great place however quite a lot of people ushered in 1 go, very very rude people pushing infront and coughing in your face. No manners, could be better but staff were great. We went for an exhibition about Egypt, had a lot of fun
S.
September 2021. RHS Botanical exhibition. Beautiful prints and photos. As a RHS member entrance was free.
May 2021. Great place. But the whole building is being used for the tutankhamun exhibition at the moment.
D. W.
Went to see Tutankhamun exhibition very well presented and staff were very helpful. Good disabled access we were taken out of the queue and shown towards the wheelchair access point and then taken directly in the gallery staff couldn't have been more helpful.
C. H.
My wife and myself decided to go to the Saatchi Gallery to see a exhibition of Tutankhamum. I got the tickets which have a set time entry, for my wife’s birthday. We have been to the Valley of the Kings and Queens in Egypt and the Museum in Cairo in the past. (The Old One) Also a cruise down the River Nile, Luxor Aswan and Abu Simbel and beyond to see various places and people. We were both pleased we went to see some lovely artefacts from Tut’s Tomb in fact brilliant artefacts from the tomb. We both enjoyed our tour around the 150 artefacts over 3 or 4 floors. Price not cheap, peak £31.35, off peak £26.95, seniors off peak £24.20, peak £28.60. Child prices not sure. Takes about 60 to 90 minutes or so to get around. If it’s busy you can take up to 1/2 hr to get through security. The exhibition is on till 3 May. We went for entry time at 1 till 1:30 so not to busy and able to see all the exhibits. We fully enjoyed ourselves a good afternoon out.
P. C.
I recently came here to see the Tutankhamen Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh exhibition and it was just brilliant! Wandering around the exhibition gave me a chance to see the beautiful artifacts that were found in the tomb and l was very impressive. I would highly recommend coming here.
S. A.
We came here for the Tutankhamun exhibition in early March. We found the gallery quite exquisite on the outside. Went on a weekday evening and there was no queue whatsoever. Maybe everyone was out panic-buying toilet tissue instead.
The inside of the gallery isn't as breathtaking as outside. The inside corridors are all well kept with very little appearance of chipping or wear and tear.
The exhibition rooms are decorated differently and would require a reviewof their own.
The exhibition is over several floors and has a lift operating inside. There is a cloakroom too. I didnt use the facilities so i can't comment there.
I havent uploaded pictures of the actual exhibition as i dont want to spoil it for others. But you can find some of the gift shop pictures below. Things were outrageously expensive, even for a museum in Belgravia.
L. H.
Once in a lifetime opportunity to view Tutankhamun: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh, most of the precious objects never having left Egypt before. This is a beautifully-curated exhibition, telling the story of the surprise discovery of the tomb of the "boy king", thereby granting him immortality according to the customs of the time, and confounding his enemies, who wanted him to be forgotten. An Enter the Tomb virtual reality experience, on the second floor, needs a separate ticket (which I didn't buy), but I'd recommend the audio guide as an accompaniment. Hope current health problems don't prevent mamy more people from seeing it.
R. N.
Tutankhamen Exhibition in March.
+ Really well executed.
+ Some phenomenal pieces
+ Well written and accessibly conveyed history
- A little bit too busy to thoroughly enjoy. Can imagine it gets busier too.
M. L.
Amazing place and support for up and coming artists.
R. J.
The building is a bit tired now, nearly every wall had black cloth drapes hiding what could have been nice but we couldn't see, the toilet area was adequate but with the amount of people it soon became congested especially as it was used as a meeting place for school children. The cafe was also just adequate but congested. I was there for the King Tut exhibition so was concentrating on that.
D. M.
Easy location to find. Very organized. Staff super helpful. Good directions given for the exhibition. Spent a great amount of time viewing the exhibits, no rush. Gift shop very expensive hence no keepsake. Overall a lovely experience with everyone in the party enjoying it.
L. A.
Visited the Tutankhamun exhibition here. Easy to find and get to. Short wait to get in, but worth it. Very busy with a wait to get close to the displays. Timed tickets every half hour, we spent a couple of hours here, but a lot of that was waiting to get close to the exhibits.
A. H.
I visited the Saatchi Gallery for the Tutankhamun exhibition which was great but very, very busy definitely recommend visiting earlier in the day if you can it seems less busy.
It is totally worth the visit despite the couple of negatives we had, the exhibits were incredible and the presentation of the exhibition was exceptional.
Before you go in it's likely you will need to queue up for your timeslot which is where we had our first negative experience. Two of the three staff that were organising the queues were really personable, engaging and helpful we couldn't fault them, we even had a laugh with the security guy who was really nice.
Unfortunately one member staff organising the queues couldn't have been more rude, which really took the edge of the visit, we weren't the only ones to notice others in the queue were grumbling and complaining.
The second reason I knocked off a star for our visit was just how busy it was. I appreciate it's going to be a really popular exhibition but on our visit I think they may have let too many people in which made it slightly uncomfortable to walk around. You will find yourself waiting behind people frequently to look at the exhibits in really hot and stuffy rooms.
That said I'm glad I've seen it and I would recommend going before it's gone for good.
C. A. R.
This is a wonderful gallery, with lovely exhibitions and the location makes it very easy to get there and to get a bite or drink afterwards. I went to see the Tutankhamun's exhibition and enjoyed the whole setting very much. The only thing that was distracting me from the exhibition was the audio guides, that it was always clicking and detracting from the ambiance of the exposition.
M. V.
Great Tutankahmun exhibition, well worth the visit, was in there for hours, genuinely fascinating. Shame it's the last time these artifacts will leave Egypt, however they are 3000 years old of course! Definitely worth the quite expensive tickets for this experience, however be aware that they put too many people in there but everyone was polite and only looked at each item for a while and let others through. So in that respect it was a good atmosphere.
M. L.
Saatchi Gallery has always good exhibitions. Tutankhamun could be one of the top they will have in 2020, top rated definitely. £29 regular tickets + £15 the virtual reality experience that is highly recommend. You need to book in advanced. I am thinking to going again before May, last month in London then be back to Egypt.
S. S.
It's a bit of a rabbit Warren with no natural light. We went for the Tutankhamen Exhibition which was stretched out over 8 or 9 galleries mainly do they could cram in as many people as possible and too many. It was difficult to get near some of the cases. The audio tour was extremely basic and a waste it money. Most of the info was written as well. All in all it was nice but rather uninspired. The gift shop is ludicrously overpriced and filled with tat!
J. P.
Lovely old gallery with plenty of space. We visited to see King Tutankhamen's Exhibition in December 2019; it was well worth the visit thank you. Julia and family xxx
J. P.
Very nice building and gallery space. Air conditioning wasn't working on a hot day though that made our visit a bit uncomfortable.
S. S.
Went to the Bob Marley One Love Exhibition. Was a lovely surprise. There were plenty to see at the exhibition.
C. “. A.
Ahhhhh. Did I love that exhibition, i have always been interested in history especially Egypt and its pharaohs etc; but king Tut has always been my favourite. Walking into that exhibit made me want to become an archaeologist, I was in awe, i was speechless. I really wanted their to be more, a lot more and I understood why not everything could be there but my days was it beautiful. It made me want to go to Egypt, like I wanted to be there viewing all these things.one downside for me was the whole time slot thing, it made no sense I booked for 11 and people who booked for 11:30 were going in before me, they should have just let whoever came to just go in. But it didnt ruin my experience.
A. B.
Bob Marley exhibition absolutely fantastic
R. T.
The King Tutankhamun exhibit was fantastic. 5 galleries filled with the Pharoah's treasures for the afterlife. Many items out of Egypt on tour for the first time. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
K. R.
Visited the gallery for the Tutenkhamun exhibition. Gallery in a nice setting.
Exhibition was very interesting with a good mix of artefacts. Although there were a lot of people inside the museum it was easy to get up close to the exhibits. Glad to have tickets.
Only downside was the photoshoot at the start. A bit tacky and not needed. Not forced to buy the photos thankfully.
M. S.
I went to see the Tutankhamun exhibition, so the review and star rating is related to that, more than the Saatchi gallery itself which is a nice building. It was an amazing exhibition of treasures, jewellery and artifacts found by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon when they found Tutankhamun’s tomb intact at the turn of the 20th century.
That alone would have been worth 5 stars but I felt I had to knock one off because of how the organisers tried to turn it into a ‘Merlin Entertainment ride’. I feel that taking tacky green screen photos as soon as you enter, while being asked to do the ‘mummy pose’, the virtual reality experience and the shop which sells absolute tat, really took away from the experience and lacked respect for what was on show.
Also, don’t bother with the audio guide, as all it does is to basically read what’s written in front of you. Another missed occasion to raise the bar a bit.
T. B.
With six children in tow, Catherine raced to the airport departing gate. This wasn't an easy task as the children had other priorities than to get to the gate. She knew that she was tight on time and the frustration came out as she yelled at the kids to keep up. They continued to test her, pretending not to listen and to move in directions that only slowed them down. They had no idea the wrath they were about to receive when Catherine made it to the gate only to be informed that they had all missed the plane.
c.
Love this gallery. They always have such amazing exhibitions on and many are free. Always take my friends visiting from out of town here and they all love it. Just went to view the Luminal works by Alo. A* pieces.!
V. I.
There are just no words to describe be glory and the beauty of this gallery especially with the huge historical significance of the Tutankhamun exhibition.
Its admirable and an example for others to follow how well was organized and presented the hole project.
I just upload a few photos that are a very small example of this MUST VISIT event.
I could write pages about it but visiting the Tutankhamun it will be a lifetime experience.
V. s.
Beautiful building. BOB MARLEY ONE LOVE EXPERIENCE. Really easy to get to. Definitely recommend a visit here.
E. b.
My fave gallery! Love that you can meet the artists
D.
Never been here before so didn't know what to expect. The event running when I was there meant I met many artists and saw lots of different works from around the world. That made it totally worth it! I'm not sure what it is like in "regular" days, especially as the entry price is quite high. It's worth a visit at least once :)
J. P. M.
We visited Saatchi for the Tutankhamun exhibition. Great exhibition but they let too many people in at a time. I waited behind people to see any exhibit and was hit three times with backpacks (which with this density of people, should not be allowed in).
G. A.
Guys this exhibition is a must see. So many interesting facts about young Tutankhamen and incredibly well presented artefacts to view. Breathtaking to think how long ago they were made, yet so well preserved. Don’t wait until it’s too late and sold out, grab your ticket now!

The Saatchi will never be everyone's cup of tea, but it will always sit proudly as my favourite gallery in London.
The art on display is extremely varied from one visit to another. Although you're bound to enjoy some visits more than others, every time you go you feel like you see something new and interesting. This is helped by the fact that you're able to get so close up to each piece, taking each and every paint splat, pixel, cm. You absolutely shouldn't lick the work but you could definitely get close enough to do so.
Speaking logistically, the gallery is in a pleasant area and is free to enter. The cloakroom is also free to use and the staff are more than happy to help. The gallery itself is small so you're able to get round in a good amount of time. It takes me around two hours but I faff and read and take bench breaks.
All in all, if you're looking to feel just that slight bit more cultured, for free, you could do worse.
A. A.
Every time I go it has modern and exciting art, with a great variety of styles and skilfully made work. Staff are nice and really cool area as well. Big favourite of mine

I've been at Saatchi Gallery for the first time for Tutankhamun exhibition. The exhibition itself was amazing and Saatchi Gallery was one of the best venues for such an extraordinary one in life experiences.
The exhibition organisation and management was satisfactory and made it a very pleasant experience.
I lost myself in ancient history of Egypt and Tutankhamun (Tutankhamen) himself with help of narrative and visual elements alongside of all precious items which are brought together for the first time outside of Egypt.
Thanks to Saatchi Gallery for such a great exhibition and its colleagues who were so helpful, professional and kind.
R. E.
Saw the Bob Marley exhibition, bit underwhelming. Although I was surprised to see that his passion for music was almost eclipsed by his love of football
H. M.
Came here to see the Tutankhamun exhibition. We had tickets for 10:30am and we did get in on time. I feel for people who have been waiting long over their allocated time.
The building itself seems small for this exhibition because everything is so close together and since it is incredibly popular and there is no time limit for you once inside it is very crowded.
As for the exhibition itself, it is beautiful and I would highly reccomend going to see it if you get the chance. Everything it positioned perfectly as is the lighting which makes the items look incredible. There is some strange background music, it isn't loud...but it is a bit weird.
The gift shop is what you would expect, overpriced for what it is. But if you only pick up one or two souvenirs then the price doesn't make you want to cry.

Enjoyed the JR exhibition. Worth joining and becoming a member for the year
M. M. D. C.
Great gallery and artist selection. I enjoy most of their exhibitions and the space is beautiful although not massive. Always a pleasure to be back and enjoy a South Ken walk afterwards ☺️

The gallery is in a great location and the entry process for the Tutenkamun exhibition was well managed. The exhibits looked amazing but it was just so busy in the rooms it really detracted from the experience. It was hard to get a chance …

The building is a bit tired now, nearly every wall had black cloth drapes hiding what could have been nice but we couldn't see, the toilet area was adequate but with the amount of people it soon became congested especially as it was used as …

Visited the Tutankhamun exhibition here. Easy to find and get to. Short wait to get in, but worth it. Very busy with a wait to get close to the displays. Timed tickets every half hour, we spent a couple of hours here, but a lot of that was waiting to get close to the exhibits.

Beautiful building featuring various, eclectic, mixed range of art exhibitions. Lovely surroundings and seating areas in the heart of Chelsea. Whether you like the art within, is a matter of personal taste.

Good for new art balance.Free which is good but the main exhibition 8 pounds per person 😁

Love visiting the gallery, always interesting exhibitions. I went for Tutanchamun and JR: Chronicles - both were very impressive. Thank you very much for great service 🙏

Only my personal opinion because if modernism was my thing, it would probably get 5 stars.
Pros- great location just off Kings Rd, beautiful building, spacious & well presented. Courteous staff, free cloakroom, great loos. All free exhibitions, not at all crowded. And the gift shop was fab!
Cons- the art itself! Some interesting pieces but as I said, not my thing. Too weird! But still glad I went &worth the effort.

King Tut exhibition. The "photo op" at the beginning is a complete waste of time unless you want a joke or prop photo, it has no images from the exhibition items - I could do the Photoshop myself and I'm definitely not a techy person, not worth paying for. The artifacts are superb and non-flash photography is allowed. Shop had sold out of the thing I was most interested in & the decent stuff is great looking but expensive (including gold items!!) - anyone got £25,000 for a copy of the death mask?!
D. G.
Enjoyed my visit to Tutankhamun last week. Great layout and presentation! A shame that there were so many people but still managed to see everything I wanted.

Innovative, unique and some great exhibitions so I keep coming here every 3 to 4 months.
Putting aside London's world-known art galleries, this is my favourite gallery and have seen some very impressive and controversial exhibitions here (and others not that good); but with a free admission, great location (Chelsea), and helpful staff, this is a must visit if you are visiting London.
M. R.
I watched the Tutankhamun exhibition - it is awesome, please go if you can, I cant remember a better exhibition of Egyptology!! I am giving 4 rather than 5 stars mainly because the cost of entrance at £40 is very steep. Still, worth it!
S. R.
Wonderful exhibition, well laid out and engaging. However, there were a lot of people allowed in at once. It is worth noting that the death mask used in the promotional material is not featured - but there is still an amazing selection of artifacts.

Fab went to see the Tutankhamen exhibition. Busy but you can take your time going around, seating along the route so you can rest.. nice cafe and facilities.
J. D.
Tutankamun exhibition was great. Easy to get to. So glad we got to see it.

Lovely museum expecially when then exhibition is on. On this occasion Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun exhibition... Was so good and display was brilliant beautifully displayed.. Was excellent.
A.
An interesting experience learning about Tutankhamen, his life and his death. The queuing could have been better organised but overall was impressed with the quality of the exhibits.
P. &. J. H.
We really enjoyed the Tutankhamun exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. This complements nicely the smaller retrospective at Highclere Castle. Some interesting artefacts from the thumb and very well documented background of the search.
M. B.
Divine escape of the mind and overthinking. Made my way through every room and took time to see and hear each artists message. Also did the virtual reality experience 'we breathe an ocean of air'. Beautiful symbiotic feeling created. Didn't want it to stop!
E. M.
Contemporary art exhibitions with free entry. Interesting Saatchi Store with many inspiring items.
J. F.
Brilliant tutankhamun exhibition. Glad I n the coach party got to see this. Well worth it. But very busy n expensive at end in shop
H. D. S.
Bob Marley exhibition was great, really enjoyed. Bit expensive but goes with territory
H. P.
The Saatchi gallery presented the stunning Tutankhamun exhibition, the last chance to see it before the artifacts go back to Cairo .
The exhibits were awesome in the true sense of the word. The history was on 2 levels, first was the amazing story of ancient Egypt and second was the story of the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb by Howard Carter nearly 100 years ago.
I can heartily recommend this exhibition.
N. R.
Great place, shame the lower floors were closed on my visit
D. E.
One of my favourite places in London! With free entry and wonderful exhibitions it’s a no-brainer.
However do check their website ahead for 2 reasons:
1 make sure the exhibition(s) they have on interest you
2 double check they’re not randomly closed for an event (happened to me once on a weekend)
Bonus: make sure to check out their gift shop for quirky little things (however sometimes a tad expensive)
M. S.
Went to the Satchi gallery I’m for the Tutankhamun exposition. The gallery was well set out and the staff were helpful and friendly. The queues for non timed entry tickets was very long. This appears to be a popular gallery.
The Tutankhamun display was well set up and had some amazing artefacts and multimedia displays.
P. L.
From the set timed entrance, to the friendly staff, to the most awe inspiring items I have ever seen - the Tutankhamen exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery is an absolute must. They have spared no expense in showing the finish Egyptian artifacts to a very lucky London. The attention to detail, the way the pieces are lit in each of the 5 huge gallery areas, the wealth of information displayed and the guided walk around is nothing short of exemplary. Congratulations and many thanks to the Saatchi team for organising this, and I hope it really works for you... I had goosebumps and was nearly moved to tears... it's that good.
K. R.
My favourite gallery in London. They have amazing temporary exhibitions. I highly recommend Beyond the Roads temporary exhibition with UNKLE music. It's mind blowing.
J. M.
Great little gallery, much bigger inside that anticipated. The exhibition for Tutankhamun was good. But having to bump into people with the session was a little annoying. Session starts and then the whole crowd moves through at their own pace. However you will find people pushing in front of you to see each of the exhibits.
G. P.
Attended the Tutankhamun Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh exhibition, it really is a must see. It's on until 3rd of May. Last chance to see the items before they return to Egypt.
w. T.
Tutankhamun exhibition is 5 star....
Not all the iconic artefacts but many never seen outside Egypt before. Better to go a bit later; we went at 14.00 on a Friday and it was packed; no queues when we came out at 16.30ish. Expensive, but cheaper than going to Egypt. Not great pictures by me, but sure their website is better.
B. T.
sometimes great, sometimes not. it's got good opening hours and decent accessibility. I will say they can put on some rubbish too though. but same goes for most galleries.
want to have more of a problem with it, but i don't...and it's surprisingly affordable for non-members, usually something free too.

Went to see "Sweet Harmony" exhibition which was about the history of rave in the UK. The gallery is in lovely surroundings very close to Sloane Square. We were met by a lovely young lady (with brightly coloured hair) who was very smiley and chatty (🙂very apt!) . I asked if the admission price of £10 included a free pill ? She got the joke - not sure anyone else did ! So I asked for my complimentary glow sticks - still no joy but she laughed anyway. Well done you ! One lady taking the entry money looked as if she'd been slapped by a fish (big fish or a little one ?) Lots of photographs and a few installations of light effects etc. Old flyers from the days where you had to phone a number to try and find out where the next rave was. We did it in about an hour and that was stretching it out. A few examples of electronic samplers and beat generators and some screens which appeared to be connected to spotify. One girl was looking for Taylor Swift tracks, I was ready to stop her had she succeeded ! The last room was a set up for a DJ booth - very arty - and having been asked by a young woman if I had a ticket ?? I showed her the stamp on my arm and shrugged my shoulders - even she thought that it was a bit of a pointless question considering we were at the end of the exhibition ! I think If I had replied " I'm a rider at the gates of dawn and I take no prisoners- Acciiidddd !"her brain would have exploded. The final exhibit had 2 Pioneer CDJ Nexus decks and a mixer just sitting there, all plugged in and just begging to have something played on them loudly! Something hypnotic and recognizable to give a taste of what a rave is like for those who weren't born when it all started, but no - you could almost hear them crying and saying to themselves "Has it come to this, sitting here waiting to be turned on ?" I was so tempted to jump in and fire them up. Surely at least one room needed to have some music on....LOUD !! It's the history of the RAVE movement for Pete's sake ! The shop at the end is good though 🙂

Just popped in for an hour before travelling home so only visited the free ground floor exhibits. Interesting and varied modern paintings and sculptures. Enjoyed the experience.

Great Gallery. Brilliant art. Come to my YouTube Channel to see loads of video from London. The name of the channel: LONDON & SUBURBS

Was awesome to see this Tutankhamun exhibition. Thanks Howard Carter for finding this incredible findings of history im 1922.
Love it! 5 big fat stars!
J. C.
Tutenkhamun exhibition is here until next year, when these fascinating and priceless objects are in London together for the last time. Ever. Brilliant displays in darkened galleries, photos (no flash) are permitted. Plenty of explanation of the history and mythology surrounding the boy king. Helpful staff, lifts for accessible viewing. Don't miss this.
C. T. (. M. T.
The gallery was very organised for ticketing, queuing and entry, but I could hear people complaining about the cold so if you are visiting in cold or adverse weather then ensure you ate equipped to last around 30 to 60 minutes and you should be fine.
You can use your phone to display all ticket and audio guide barcodes for simplicity and paper free.
The tours are self guided and there is no time limit as long as the gallery is open; you are free to go back round from entering the gift shop as long as you have not left the building.
Concession tickets can be obtained online too with your booking for the same entry slot. The time on the ticket is for starting to queue not for entry.
At busy times or exhibits it can get quite crowded.
Photography is usually permitted as long as there is no flash, they will declare this upon entry.
Some exhibits may have an entry photo you can pose for and purchase at the end if you wish.
I saw the Tutankhamen exhibit which was interesting and informative. I would recommend the audio guides as there was limited other information and no guide to ask; you can save money by purchasing the audio guide(s) online prior to attending.
D. T.
A must see for those interested in contemporary art. Apart from the more abstract pieces you will see, it is highly possible to stumble upon an exhibition covering an important social, environmental or political issue. As most galleries and museums in London the entrance is free.
s. a.
Bob marley gallery was a well layout, with a lot of history
s. l.
Visited the gallery to view the Tutankhamen exhibition. A well laid out exhibition with many artefacts that had never left Egypt before. A great afternoon with loads of information.
F. Y.
This is my fourth time to Saatchi gallery in less than 10 months. Because they always have different galleries every visit is very special. It is highly recommended for people who enjoy seeing different and unusual art pieces as I think it shows a-lot of unique artwork that is not usually exhibited in other places in London. Also, the gallery shop is a bonus! I love it.
I. B.
Big fan of this gallery. Great selection of works, some challenging, some less so, but a really great place to visit if you like modern pieces. Really liked the shop too, had plenty of interesting and cool items.
j. k.
Tutankhamen Exhibition, brilliant.no famous gold mask unfortunately. The staff were unsure if you could buy the (surprisingly additional cost !) ticket downstairs for the VR experience or not. nice cafe,
S. S.
Went to the Tutankhamun exhibition. Was really good but they let too many people in at once that it was so busy and hard to see. Also ended up sick afterwards
K. S.
Went for the Tutankhamun exhibition. The Gallery doesn't have the space of larger venues and this means visitors are funnelled from room to room making for a very crowded feeling. I understand the importance of maximising income but at times that was at the expense of the experience... a few less timed tickets. The exhibition itself is very worthwhile though!
T. R.
The items in this exhibition are obviously amazing and once in a lifetime for most of us to see in one place. The experience itself is not the best I have been attended. Because it was so busy everybody is rushed through and I was genuinely concerned as with small kids. I am happy I attended but would never wish to attend the Saatchi again. But Wow! Such a collection. Would be a pity to miss!
M. M.
Queue management is not a strong point - on arrival we were directed into a line to find that we were among people who had arrived an hour early. With limited numbers allowed in, it is no wonder that we had to wait almost 49 mins past our entrance time.
On the other hand, the exhibition itself is worth the wait. The artifacts are well displayed, well lit and within touching distance (behind glass obviously). The story is well told and even after so much public interest still has new information to reveal.
S. R.
Great venue for exhibitits. Well laid out. I went to see the Tutankhamun exhibition which was amazing and well worth the money
G. K.
Perfect spot in a lovely area! Saatchi Gallery with large collection of art. Amazing exhibitions for long period. Strong art/book store.
P. S.
It's right next to the Sloane Sqaure weekend Market, the ground floor and basement are free with an interesting shop selling, for example, affordable prints of Jean-Michel Basquiat's artwork.
H. G.
Although I loved, loved the exhibition I went there to see (Tutankhamen's treasure) I only awarded 4 stars because the organisation of the event was a bit lacking in organisation!
After being sent an email the day before asking us to arrive 30 minutes before our entry time, we arrived 30 minutes earlier, as requested. We were sent away and asked to come back in about 15-20 minutes - so we did. When we got back, the same person approached us and said that we were too early again, to which we responded that she was the one who told us to come back now, despite the email that requested is to arrive early due to how busy it was. She then told us that we must have read the email wrong and didn't understand it! My mum then took the email she had printed out of her bag and tried to show the woman who was now trying to backtrack saying that she knew nothing about an email and we wouldn't be scanned in to see the exhibition if we didn't go away and come back later! She said if anyone wanted to make a complaint she would give us a contact. I said I would complain, but I'll write an honest recount of our experience.
We eventually went back and there was another lady with her scanning the visitors in. We were queued in lines; the people in line next to us were allowed in first, quite rightly, they were there first. Their line emptied and then our line was let in - up to us. The usher replaced the barrier and waited, then let more people in, from the first queue, who hadn't actually queued! A very angry man came charging down to him stating what we were all thinking; why was he letting them in when we had waited, and they'd just arrived? He called for help and the lady who was a bit unhelpful with us, refused to come and help him. The usher then decided to continue letting our line through.
After all that palaver, the exhibition itself was amazing and honestly overshadowed the disorganisation at the beginning. If you can get tickets to see this, you won't be disappointed!
P. B. K.
Fantastic Tutankhamun Exhibition. 31 years since I viewed last viewed these wonderful items in from his tomb in Cairo.
E. V.
Bob Marley Experience... I expected for it to be better.
A. C.
Saw Tutankhamen exhibition. The artifacts and exhibition itself were fabulous! However cost of cloakroom was ridiculous especially on top of ticket costs, staff team were rude and unreasonable and queues were poorly managed and this was such a shame. While exhibition was amazing it was very crowded and this seems unnecessary. The Saatchi gallery itself was beautiful.
R. D.
visited to view the free exhibitions and really enjoyed my visit, really good interesting information on the artist and how the works were created which i appreciate as a arts student! staff were more than helpful and will be returning for the ticketed shows
M. B.
What a fantastic gallery - particularly enjoyed the photo exhibition by David Magee - well worth a visit
A.
One of the best museums London in one of the most chic and trendy areas.
D. C.
Went to see the Tutankhanmun exhibition and it was great. Shame it was overly busy. Too many paying public in the gallery at the same time. I think too many tickets are sold for each session for this timed entry event. Wish I could go back when it isn't so busy but I don't think that will happen.
G. H.
Always lovely exhibitioins. Staff friendly. Go during the week as it wont be so crowded. Saturday visits will be long ques and searches. Down the road Pret a Mangre...for a nice lunch.
P. W.
Disappointing. The taste of the curator of the art work does not match mine. The skill of the artists is not really apparent in the pieces. Cutting /sticking random shapes. The emperor's new clothes.
G. D.
Good gallery just around the corner from Sloane Square. Free to enter but some exhibits might incur a charge. The Kaleidoscope exhibition is worth a look even if just for the giant walk in kaleidoscope - if you buy a £1 programme. Take off your shoes and get involved.
C. M.
Always a good experience. "One Love" exhibition was brilliant.
a.
Very nice exhibit, very detailed and good informative videos as you progress. Quite a few people sent it together so feels a little tight but still manageable to see everything if you take your time
J. S.
The tutankhamun exhibition showing here was well organised and the staff were polite and friendly, the tickets were timed and it was still a bit crowded inside but that didn’t matter as it was still an excellent experience.
It was laid out in different rooms with some on the 1st floor, there was a shop at the end of the tour which was a tad overpriced, didn’t visit the cafe.
M. E.
Excellent building, fantastic art work, easy to stroll galleries, and on top of it all free with a very well stocked up gift shop. Eat and drink seems to be good, but I have not tried.
A. R.
Excellent Tutankhamun Exhibition at the Saatchi gallery, the last time out of Egypt before returning home to a new purpose built museum.

Beautiful building and wonderful exhitits. The shop is also great and reasonably priced.

First visit, great space in a beautiful building. We Live in an Ocean of Air was excellent, if a little short. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening there, and would highly recommend it.
s.
Well lit galleries with beautiful installations enable to adore the art. The building itself is nicely renovated and the reception staff was very kind and helpful.
The visit was quite short, but enjoyable, I was disappointed not to see the spectacular ant art installations as seen on google, so keep in mind it always changes and you have to check.

My favorite gallery in London.

Beautiful exposition and the last of tutankhamon before going back to Egypte for ever don't miss it
Nice staff
Easy and understandable description of the expo

Went for the Tutankhamun exhibition. Really enjoyed what was on show, especially being able to walk all the way around quite a few of the exhibits.

A very nice gallery with loads of green space in front of it to spend some time before or after your visit where spaces available are currently marked according to social distancing guidelines. The gallery is clean and the staff are very helpful. Always a pleasure to go there.
D. P.
Went to see the Tutankarmun exhibit it was excellent to see such fine old objects and learn about what the eyghtians believed in the after life.
Well worth a visit.
J. P.
The Tutenkeham Exhibition was very informative and well worth a visit. I'm glad we were able to see it last week.. As I fear had it been this week I think the trip would of been cancelled.
s.
Visited the Saatchi gallery for the first time today to see the Tutenkaham exhibit. The collection was really cool, lots of interesting objects and they were displayed in a really engaging way where you could learn and experience them with ease. However the venue was way too busy, with far too many visitors to really take it all in. The gallery layout it’s self is very disconnected and each small room was over filled with people, to the point it actually made it quite frustrating and difficult to enjoy at points. Entrance to the venue was easy, the staff were excellent - but I can’t help think it would have been better suited at a more open venue. The corridors and visitor flow was really annoying and ruined the exhibit somewhat. However it is a great opportunity to see some unique objects for the last time in this country and some on their first exhibit in England. The Saatchi is a very odd venue and I can see how they have tried it make it work for this collection, but one can only think it would be better elsewhere.
C. P. W.
✨FREE FUN ✨with the best artists globally, Saatchi never disappoints. Take your time going through each floor (don’t forget the basement) + exit through the gift shop. On the weekends enjoy the food market out the front, the Duck roll & Oysters are a fav! 🥙
C. H.
Great visit. Much see Tutankhamen tour before it leaves. Well laid out plenty to see and lots of interesting facts to read. For an extra fee the VR. Experience of the tomb is well worth it. The gallery also has a very good café in the lower ground floor. Pre booked tickets and given an arrival time. Had to wait less than five minutes to get in.
P. P.
My mother's Christmas present was a trip to the Tutankhamun exhibition, which has timed slots. Despite the weather, despite the delays due to how busy it was, the exhibition it utterly amazing and definitely worth a visit!
K. P.
Visited the Tutankhamun exhibition st the Saatchi Gallery in London Amazing exhibits but would have been better if the way through it was more structured so that everyone could see everything. Would recommend going.
S. P.
The Tutankhamun exhibits were stunning. We thought the layout of the exhibition was a little chaotic, with too many people in tight spaces struggling to see the pieces.
M. R.
Fascinating art. Not too crowded. Free to enter
U. C.
Highly recommend a good stroll around this gallery, its fresh, modern and inviting dozens of modern artist from various countries. Installations, photography, innovative paintings and video productions. Absolutely a must!

Always full of contemporary art that challenges you.

Amazing Tutankhamun exhibition. Really rude staff especially at the entrance like they are doing is a freaking favour. Don’t like your job don’t do it!
R. P.
Great exhibition and those portraits are absolutely timeles
E. M.
Had some misleading info on Google Reviews so we were disappointed when we arrived. They only have the exhibitions listed on the website, and no permanent collection of contemporary art. Also it's not longer free.
S. S.
Great Bob Marley exhibition, well worth a visit.
G. I.
The Tutankhamun exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery was fabulous, and never too busy. Well worth a visit before the treasures return to Egypt forever
P. D.
Visiting the Tutankhamun exhibition. Had a meal at the adjoining restaurant. Good care and a nice bloody Mary.
The Saatchi gallery is a great space and the staff here today we're excellent. I went with an elderly relative and they fast tracked us at every chance.
The VR exhibition is worth the extra money. Mind-blowing.
Your last chance to see 150 Tut themed items in the UK.
J. R.
If you are found of Egypt history; Tutankhamun exhibition is for you. It is magnificent but extremely expensive the flipside is that you can stay as much as you want.
Do not expect to see the main piece.
T. T.
Tutankhamun. Treasures of the golden king exhibition. Very busy some fab artefacts very well displayed. Some will never leave Egypt again so last chance to see outside Cairo. If interested do see it.
J. L.
Beautifully organised and narrated exhibition of many artefacts from Tutenkamen's tomb. Each room in semi darkness with soft music and beautiful lighting of each item. But what ties them all magically together and brings them to life is the story telling of myths and superstitions skillfully interwoven with fascinating facts and history. Simply marvellous and well worth our journey from Lancashire and the overnight stay. I must also acknowledge the attention to disabled access throughout which made my wheelchair using husband's experience a pleasure instead of the usual ordeal. Superb.
S. L. (. &. M.
Great exhibition on the street artist and activist JR. the exhibits were well-presented and the background stories told in an emotional way.
M. S.
Excellent art installation. Loved the 'we live in an Ocean of air, that was a weird but a wonderful experience.
And the kaleidoscope was brilliant, even thou I enjoyed being part of the art, I enjoyed it more watching others, you get more of the feel of it.
D. D.
A very large error with lots of interesting exhibits. I think the place could gave benefitted from better signage as I got a bit lost.
j. b.
London's premier private art gallery offers free admission to the public.
Controversial, cutting-edge, often challenging and regarded (often grudgingly) as a significant arbiter, 'mover and shaker' in the art world.
Peerless; much imitated but unequaled, though somewhat distant and detached.
J. J.
Took the Grandson to see the Tutenkanhem Exhibition, as a birthday treat. He is absolutely enthralled by it all as he was the exhibition. He loved it. The artifacts on display was stunning.
A. A.
Nothing beats a nice Saturday or Sunday walk and a chat (alone or with good company) in Chelsea and have a little coffee break and an elegant art walk through the wonderful Saatchi Gallery.
T. B.
Well organised and plenty of people to direct you if you are unsure of the way or have questions. Tutankhamun exhibition was amazing although I wasn't aware of the 3d experience until too late to get a ticket.
M. R.
Fantastic Exhibition of selected items fromTutankhamun's Tomb. Beautifully displayed and lit - not to be missed
T. W.
Sensational day out, fantastic exhibit and I'd recommend to everyone. Staff were more than enthusiastic and helpful, and the facilities were excellent. Book those tickets now.
D. S.
Interesting exhibition of Tutankhamen artefacts. Lift doors close too quickly when going in door started to close I now have s painful arm. I believe if someone starts to walk in door should have sensor so that it knows a person is entering
E. B.
Fabulous venue for the Tutankhamun collection.. We really enjoyed every second .Well worth a visit

All I learned about art in school was that blue and yellow makes green, so my technique for assessing art is fairly straight forward. If it’s nice to look at, or if there’s something interesting about it, then it’s “good”. Otherwise, it’s “bad”.
Most of the work displayed in this gallery has something interesting about it or is nice to look at. So this gallery is good.
It’s also large, constantly changing, and paid for by people who aren’t me. And that makes it double incredible.
C. O.
Went to the Saatchi to see the Tutankhamen expo. Interesting exhibits and gives you a flavour of what Carter and Caernarvon would have found. It was, however, very busy and thus it was difficult to see the exhibits. It paid to wait and let the crowds move on!

JR CHRONICLES is a show not to be missed. Utterly mind blowing as well as endearing, funny and altogether captivating. A master and pioneer in his own right.
N. S.
Excellent exhibit however the lines to queue weren't ideal. The layout of the tutankhamun was well organised and the displaying of the artifacts was well spaced. I think the museum is suited to individual exhibitions but not for a general gallery
p. l.
Went to see the Egyptian exhibit was great staff helpful the shop was mega expensive and the quality of the smaller gifts where bad but that dose not take away form the exhibit it is truly a must see if you can
G. H.
Visited here in April 2018 for the Known Unknown exhibition. Entry was swift and free, with a gallery guide for a £1 donation. The room layout is good, and each one has enough space to cater for lots of people and to allow one to examine the art properly. Free glass of wine on arrival too.
v.
A really cool gallery, with well-curated exhibitions, and a modern gift shop !
D. L.
King Tutankhamun exhibition was brilliant, beautifully set out and stunning pieces some of them out of Egypt for the first time ever.
C. K.
Clean, calm space in a stunning building... Like Damian Hirst does at Newport Street, Saatchi puts on contemporary exhibitions that completely draw you into their world without being too big or tiring. Never disappoints, always inspires.
M. K.
Magnificent exhibitions. Love this gallery and would undeniably recommend, especially in combination with the market outside.
M. B.
Great gallery for contemporary art. Lovely atmosphere to relax. Interesting exhibits.
S. D.
Went to see the Tutenkamun Exhibition. Wonderful! Thank you to Saatchi and the curators.
J. W.
Great location and venue for the Tutankhamun exhibition. Bit disappointed that the burial mask wasn't there though.
T. H.
Expansive, multi tiered gallery. Saw the black mirror exhibit here, which was well curated. Visited for a couple Steven Colbert showings which were equally good.
B. V.
AMAZING VR EXPERIENCE!!! 'We live in an ocean of air' was the best VR experience I have ever been to. Innovative technology was integrating your hands and respiration into the virtual world in the form of point clouds. You understand your full body and you can also see the rest of people in red and blue point clouds. I was very much impressed by the interaction you have with your environment, your movement was affecting the patterns and the flows within the virtual world. A must-see FSHO!
N. T.
Fascinating Tutankhamun exhibition. Cafe a bit Spartan. Rather warm in the galleries but a good afternoon.
L. S.
Went to see the tutakamun exhibition it was well presented and would recommend seeing
R. T.
Great gallery/ exhibition space in an excellent location on the Kings Road. Really easy to get to and plenty of cafes shops and restaurants around. Set in an interesting building which lends itself to presenting art history and culture. Some of the larger exhibitions are a bit over priced.
E. S. P.
Possibly one of my favourite art galleries in London. The Saatchi Gallery is located close to Sloane Square station, in one of the most refined areas of London. The gallery is quite small but offers great pieces of art and unusual exhibitions. Emergent artists are frequently exhibiting their work there. I would recommend it when around the area!
E. N.
Regarding the building itself - very good ventilation and light feeling atmosphere (better than in museums), comfortable to be there to enjoy nice exebitions!
S. M.
The America in Crisis exhibition is very thought provoking and so essential to see.
A. S.
Saw the 90s rave exhibition, so good and nice gallery to wander! £10 tickets good price and a good store in there!
A. A. A.
Amazing and relaxing gallery in the center of Chelsea. It's free but take with you your wallet because, I promise you that you will buy a lot of things at their gallery shop.
D. H.
Really educational & was in 2 & half hrs & totally flew by.. didn't realise I'd been there that long.. so interesting & informative xxxx
A. K.
The Tutankhamen Exhibition is definitely worth checking out, although at £26 for the cheapest tickets it is a little pricey. Try get tickets to go late at night or during the day in the week... I made the mistake of getting 5pm tickets and queue was looooong
J. B.
Amazing gallery. King tut treasures were superbly arranged and the items themselves breath taking...
R.
Brilliant artistic spot in west of London, pretty close to my previous flat. Every time when I visited it, always impressed me.
B. L.
One of my favourite galleries in London. Always a good mix of art. I will say sometimes the choice can be abit activist art which I'm not a massive fan of these days. I prefer zero politics/ environmental awareness in my art. If going it's good to go on a Saturday as the market is on. You always need to check the website before going to make sure a corp event isn't on.
w. c.
Really good gallery and display of information. The VR room is a must see if you come to visit to museum really informative and engaging. Cant wait for the next exhibition here so i can visit again
M. A.
Wonderful space exhibiting modern art. Thoroughly enjoyed the UV room and Black Mirror exhibits. A must see
K. M.
Enjoyed the Tutankhamon Exhibition. Will visit again sometime :)
L. D.
An amazing exhibition. I came with my 12 year old daughter who was mesmerized! My only slight niggle was that it was very hot in there! All in all fabulous thankyou
V. L.
Saw the Bob Marley Exhibition.
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS
Polite staff and very clean bathrooms
J. F.
Great exhibition of RHS paintings, drawings and photographs. Well displayed/curated, and excellent lighting, as ever.
G. A.
Lovely gallery! Went to visit the Mass exhibition and the pieces were lovely. I'm hoping to go back to see another exhibition one of these days.
A. M. M.
A wonderful exhibition at the Saatchi gallery. This is a very progressive gallery that normally shows really interesting modern art.
A. A.
Art gallery + warm up? yes please. Had an incredible time and big big up to the gallery management for having such an innovative and great idea.. and obviously a biiiig up to the warm up fam!
K. C.
One of my favorite hang outs in London. Always have new work, always interesting. There's also a great food market every Saturday right next door. Good way to spend a Saturday!
M. L.
Action Man found the King Tut displays very interesting after his years of adventuring! 😎😊
T. s.
Great exhibition space. I went to see JR exhibit and was not disappointed!
m. l.
Visited to see the tutankhamun treasures, well displayed and amazing items. Would've been better if they spaced out the crowds. A little too busy
N. N.
Visited to see King Tut exhibition - very well curated. Alternative is to wait for the new museum to open in Egypt. Highly recommended.
N. Y.
I went to Saatchi Gallery together with my daughter to see the exhibition of J.R. It was not crowded due to the social distancing regulations because of thw Covid Pandemic restrictions. Saatchi Gallery is a perfect place for exhibitions because of having huge exhibition spaces; you never think that you are indoors when you are in this gallery. It takes approximately an hour to see all the exhibition. Toilets are free of charge and very clean. If you are hungry after the exhibition, you can go out and have something to eat at Duke of York Square Market.
C. K.
Looove this place in London and must have been here twenty times. It’s a great afternoon location to browse around after shopping and lunch and it’s always so impressive in its own way. Always cool; never too crowded; always something to stop and smile about. Most fairs are for free!ü
S. H.
Lovely to be back.....thank God for Art 🙏😇❤
E. E.
Beautiful gallery, very expensive tat in shop. Brilliant exhibition, very well planned.
b. W.
Cool and unique art gallery, great exhibition would recommend.
G. P.
Amazing, nearly incomprehensible that so many treasures were stopped on time. A must see!
D. D.
Visited for the Tutankhamen exhibition, excellent, well worth a visit.
D. S.
Another (partially) free place to visit in London.
Interesting art.
J. H.
Really interesting Art Gallery
M. Á. G. P.
I liked all the spaces. You will be able to walk, think, meditate, enjoy... Plenty of feeling, also the outdoor area at the entrance is gorgeous. Staff are welcoming and helpfull if you need something. Very recomended! I love FREE museums, FREE culture.
D. P.
Art for everyone. Great service, fun for free ❤ If you love contemporary art, it's your place.
T. K.
Amazing exhibition of Tutankhamun. The 5 galleries were worth the visit. However it was very busy and had to wait for the crowds to move on.
S. L.
Marvelous Tutankhamen exhibition currently. Beautiful artifacts well presented. Not cheap but worth every penny
L. L.
We went for the Tutankhamun exhibition, it was very interesting. You would be better off going later as it's not so busy (there is no cover when you are queuing outside).
D. G.
Saatchi Gallery is a modern art gallery close to Sloane square. It is quite spacious, extending over 3 floors and had a lot of temporary exhibitions from various artists.
We visited for the 'We live in an ocean of air's VR interactive exhibition which we found just okay. I can understand it can be a great, original experience for some but not so much of you have used a VR headset already.
J. D.
Visited the Tutankhamun exhibition at the Saatchi gallery this weekend, it was superb and I can thoroughly recommend it. Don't be put off by the price or the queues it was brilliant.
B. B.
Free galleries are always good! This one in particular as they change their exhibitions quite often. Worth a visit.
S. K.
Visited the tutankhamun exhibition. Absolutely fantastic! VR experience very well done also
J. S.
Great exhibition rooms. The contemporary art in gallery 3(currently 2019 June, sorry do not know the name of the Artist) appeard as a scarry statement of burried resentment and covered loneliness. The art of Whitney Bedford was captivating. "Hit" especially so. Do check the Saatchi Gallery out. Currently admission is free
T. P.
Visiting free. You can see different and interesting exhibitions.
C. M.
Tutankhamun exhibit is absolutely fabulous. Worth investing your time to visit it.
A. P.
awesome gallery - always has fascinating art to see. a favourite of ours
t. m.
A great exhibition. Wonderful storytelling and a lot care and attention to detail. A must see before the exhibition is closed.
S.
Good little gallery, at the moment showcasing JR Chronicles, a really well put together exhibition about the street artist. Great gift shop and helpful staff.
J. Q.
Just an astonishing Tutankhamun exhibition. Interactive and well presented. An absolute must see. It’s very busy though!
H. P.
beautiful gallery. a bit smaller than I thought but worth visiting it
K. L.
Timed e tickets meant no delay to get in. Varied content skillfully told. Lots of gift items
L. T.
The current JR exhibition provided more mental stimulation than anything I've done in the past two years.
D. M.
Great Lego exhibition. Always a pleasure to go to this gallery
P. N. A.
One of my favourite galleries to go. Always had beautiful exhibitions and can never disappoint
y. d.
Very nice place, the people are nice, the exhibition is great. Enjoyed it very much
H. N.
Wasn't crazy about the art on display when I went. I thought the building and the gifts shop were more interesting.
e. l.
Great venue, amazing exhibition and a very dedicated team
E. N. K.
Nice collection. Not busy at 11am, on a Thursday. Definitely a must see gallery. For Free!
L. P.
Very alternative art work. Some parts are quite "disturbing". But it's a nice break and very spacious not croweded at all. Free admission.
M. O.
Great gallery, also a restaurant just next to the main entrance.
Many stores and venues alongside King’s Road.
S. T.
Really enjoyed my visit here to see the Tutankhamun Treasure's Of The pharoah.
A. M.
The King Tut Exhibition was definitely worth coming to see...
H. M.
Amazing Exhibition. Worth every penny. These artifacts are simply stunning.
S. G.
The Saatchi Gallery offers a huge collection of art pieces which you will do well to buy from them on the online store. The customer support I received after a recent incident (upon having the print framed, the framing shop lost the certificate of authenticity) Saachti staff were incredibly efficient in sourcing a new certificate of authenticity. Luckily I was able to provide my receipt of purchase. They got in touch with the artist and within a matter of days I received a new certificate straight from the artist. A great experience with the Saachti 'behind the scenes staff', Thank you for your assistance, I will certainly buy from you again.
A. D.
Modern open plan gallery. Variety of art on the contemporary style
B.
I like it! It has a nice vibe, some of the art is questionable but it's much more manageable than other museums in London. I would recommend at least one hour here. It's free too!
I. A.
It's really good yo visit the Gallery to ser they different art school
M. B.
Been there once before and knew what to expect. This time it featured the Tutenkhamen exhibition. Really enjoyed it.
L. K.
Tutenkhamun - great exhibition but oh so crowded!
A. L.
It was interesting inside, loved the art and staff was nice and friendly. If you go on a Saturday you can take advantage of the food in the market near the gallery which is 🤤 delicious
H. O.
Free entrance and you'll certainly find lots of pieces of Modern Art.
R. K.
Queue was horrendous despite pre booking tickets. Volume of people inside was also horrendous, however last chance to see Tutankhamen before it goes back to ejypt forever so definitely worth it.
A. N.
Amazing to see King Tutankhamun exhibition there. Superb staff.
V. E.
I visited the Tutankhamen exhibit
It was brilliant
Staff friendly and helpful
Visited another exhibition piece too
m.
Really beautiful exibition. 4 stars because the "kaleidoscope" wasnt working!
Good reason to go again!
Free entry
S. D.
Every time a good experience ! Great selection between well known and emerging artist.
A. D.
Located in Chelsea, Newark. Saatchi is recognized as place for exhibition and its gallery is big with four floors that can be accessed with lift or stairs. It is a nice place in a nice area.
T. g.
A fantastic venue and of course like many I visited for the Tutankhamen exhibit. I will start by saying (after seeing other reviews) a little bit of common sense maybe required when visiting. This is the last time these items will leave Egypt, yes there are going to be a lot of people, yes people will want to get the best view of the artifacts, yes there will be kids getting in the way. This is a very well presented and run exhibition, from 9 am onwards there is a constant flow of people and they are managed very well. Everyone was helpful and friendly and the exhibition was presented very well, giving you plenty of positions to view these amazing items while also trying to keep bottle necks to a minimum. If you have the chance to see this GO, and when there take your time and enjoy these wonderful historical items.
H. C.
Great gallery with a mix of paid and free exhibitions
S. J.
Fantastic Tutankhamun exhibition and a lovely place
T. J.
Fabulous exhibition that leaves the mind boggling at the sheer beauty and craftmanship of these pieces and the Egyptians.
H. “. S.
A good place to spend a few hours if you are at a loose end in the local area... A modern art Gallery with a small permanent collection and a number of temporary exhibitions... Check their website to find out what is on when visiting.
D. G.
Brilliantly situated with easy access to transport. Great place to visit but the tutankhamun's exhibition was a bit packed, even though we had timed tickets. I think it's a money thing more than considering people's comfort. Saying that, the stuff was absolutely amazing to see. What quality! A must see exhibition!
d. c.
Finally got to see King Tut! Great exhibition...a bit crowded on Friday evening...
T. M.
Great Experience!
Me and boyfriend visited the Saatchi Gallery for the Tutankhamun exhibition. The gallery presented the pieces really well, and didn't over crowd each section. It was super informative. It was quite expensive, over £30 per ticket and the entry cost doesn't include the audio guide or virtual reality.
M. T.
Tutankhamun display, some items are breathtaking worth the entrance fee alone. Lots to see..
w. “.
I do love the Saatchi gallery. The current London Grads exhibit is £3, booked in advance to control numbers. Can’t say it’s my cup of tea although there are a couple of artists who are clearly going to be huge. I’m not sufficiently informed to recognise the artistic merit of attaching the seat and neck of an old office chair to the wall. Nonetheless, huge respect to Saatchi for his ongoing support of young, unknown artists (if not his treatment of Nigella).
M. A.
A bit small and hard to find but the art inside is very nice.
J. Y.
Great space to exhibit in, being free is also a great reason to support this gallery
A. B.
I visited the Saatchi Gallery in December 2019 to view the Tutankhamun exhibition. As this was one of the last chances to visit the collection outside of Egypt I was certainly looking forward to it.
The Saatchi Gallery, originally known as the Duke of York's Headquarters, is a stunning building; well presented and located in a lovely part of London. It's Chelsea after all!
The exhibition itself, although highly interesting, wasn't quite as impressive. One of the major issues, as other reviewers have stated, is that they let "too many" people in in one go. This wouldn't be such an issue if people kept their manners intact. But no, some individuals still want to barge in front of you, even though you've been waiting patiently, as have many others. Jokers!
The death mask and sarcophagus are obviously missing but the other items on display are quite exquisite. The highlights for me were the beautiful bow and arrow case and the towering statue -- positioned at the end of the exhibition.
It's hard to believe that these items are 3,000 years old; they are impeccably preserved, and the story that plays out through the 5 galleries in regards to how the tomb was discovered is well constructed.
Overall, I would recommend seeing the exhibition, but I would definitely recommend booking a quieter time (if possible?), as the crowds are pretty wild.
R. A.
Fantastic Tutankhamen exhibition. Beautifully displayed and the Virtual Tour blew me away.
D. K.
The gallery is well located two minutes from Sloane square tube station. The staff are friendly and efficient and everything is well maintained. The tutankhamun exhibition is spectacular. It's more show biz than other exhibitions I've been to but really well done and I enjoyed it. It was very crowded though, even with timed entry tickets, so maybe spacing the entry times out a bit more would have been good.
j. m.
Wow,what a fantastic exhibition this is.Went to it at the o2 yardage this is bigger and better.
C. L.
Eclectic Bahraini Collection
Interesting & beautiful free exhibition of Bahraini contemporary art.
Carefully curated & attractively presented, this small but captivating exhibition is well worth a visit......
P. K.
When to the Tutamkarmn exhibition a was really disappointed with it. If you didn't know it was for Tutamkarmn you wouldn't know as none of the pieces on show was famous to him.
H. J.
Great experience. I loved every room. Understanble modern art for everybody. Highly recommended.
D. G.
Went to see Tutankhamun Exhibition. I found it very interesting. Some of the exhibits were beautiful especially the jewellery. I found the audio guide very expensive. As far as I was concerned you had just as much information reading on the items. My sister and I spent £12.00 on these.... not worth it. If you suffer with claustrophobia you might want to think again about going. You will be very disappointed if you wanted to see the mask.... they don't have it there it doesn't leave Cairo. To delicate.
N. T.
Interesting, historic building. Easy to find from Sloane Square tube station. Entry to the Tutankhamun exhibition was well managed although it was very busy. The staff were very friendly and well placed within the building to give directions and help keep visitors moving. There is a cafe inside. Toilets are good with sufficient cubicles.
H. A.
Fabulous experience and a once in a lifetime chance to see the treasures of Tutankhamons tomb, I doubt I will ever visit Egypt with way the World is today
I. M.
Visited the Tutankhamen exhibition, absolutely amazing to view the artifacts that are over three thousand years old that where found in his tomb. Tickets are sold in time slots for entry as it's very popular and it was quite crowded in parts. The exhibition is presented in five galleries over several floors. The gallery is an easy ten minute walk from Sloane Square tube station which makes it easy to get to via public transport. Would highly recommend visiting the exhibition as I believe in future the artifacts will only be displayed in Cairo.
P. H.
Amazing exhibition, great detail and excellently arranged. Unfortunately a bit overcrowded so flow was a bit difficult.
S. D.
Love that gallery. Spacious and bright
M. M.
Gallery us easy to find, also has step free access and excellent signage. Came for the Tutenkamun exhibition, we had a great time. All of the staff were excellent and helped us on our way with a smile. I'll be recommending this exhibition to all my friends and colleagues. Definitely go if you can!
H. C.
The tutankhamen exhibition is amazing, brilliant and stunning artifacts. Well displayed and informative
d.
Wonderful gallery!! Great artists and curation. They are constantly innovating a bringing amazing artists! In my opinion it’s is a MOST in London.
y. e.
The Liminal exhibition by Alo is a must see! Superb
s. k.
Great free exhibition! Lovely day out and has a cool gift shop!
K. E.
Great exhibition, iconic artifacts of the worlds most famous archaeological discovery.
P. V.
We went to visit the Tutankhamen exhibition early February 2020. It was pretty amazing. They had a lot of items on exhibit and detailed commentary to go with it. Remember to go to the top floor! It's not part of the exhibition, but there's an amazing room with large sculptures.
R. H.
Went here today for the tutankhamun thing an was amazing... brilliant staff.. very clean.. loved it
S. L.
Went to the Tutenkamen exhibition - fantastic - you should definitely make time to see this before it goes.
F. M.
Took my wife for day of our anniversary here we had wonderful time here
M. T.
Went to see the tutankhamen exhibition. The artifacts were fascinating, however the experience was slightly marred by just how overcrowded it was. I understand that they want to make as much from the exhibition as possible but after paying over £60 for two of us (albeit with audio guides) I felt they allowed too many people in at once. It may have been better if they started groups off at more regular intervals, as this would at least smooth out the crowds.
C. H.
The Tutankhamun exhibit was well worth a visit, give yourself about 90 minutes minimum to walk around the whole thing.
L. F.
Free and cool modern art gallery. Cute sounding area. Totally worth a visit
M. S.
Beautiful Gallery!! Absolutely recommended! I really loved the shop! Plus: Entry is free for everyone!
J. B.
We went for the Tut exhibition and spent a very interesting couple of hours . The installation was superb and very didactic.
We had been to the Galerie before, outside of any special event, this place is great, modern and of reasonable size : you don't need a whole afternoon to visit.
And it's located in charming Chelsea so...
A. P.
Went to see Tutenkhamun exhibition, very interesting. Well organised, good facilities. Easy to get to.
g. k.
Had a great time. Very nice art pieces.
P. M.
Went to the Tutankhamun exhibition today! It was an incredible experience. Very crowded but everyone was polite and it was well managed with clear instructions as to where to go. Saatchi gallery is situated in a lovely space with lots of cafes and restaurants close by. All in all a fantastic afternoon!
B. M.
I went specifically for the Tutankhamen Exhibition. It costs about £30 but is worth it. Despite the crowds I managed to see everything. Beautifully displayed, the grave goods if the young pharaoh are magnificent - as an English teacher my favourite object was the nib case: a beautifully bejeweled palm tree. It would look fantastic on my desk at school. Although there us a lift, the exhibition is on several floors, so if you have walking difficulties talk to the staff. Wheelchairs can get round; however, be warned, those taking photos & selfies appear to be incapable of awareness of others. Lovely cafe that serves a great cup of tea (very important). Whether I will ever get to Giza to the new museum where the full grave goods will be on permanent display from later this year, who knows. This was probably my only chance to see it.
H. N.
It was quite busy today and I didn't find it very well laid out.
L. M.
Leisurely stroll, enjoying all kinds of art in London. A few that caught my attention, fab afternoon.
T. C.
Went to see tutankharmun treasures. Amazing exhibition. staff were great
N. T.
Had a really good time at the exhibition. Timed entry is not really well organised as our ticket was 1pm but they allowed entry at 12:30 which I felt lead to high volumes of people trying to see the exhibits, having patience is a must.
However, the exhibits are stunning!!! With plenty of information available for you to learn as well. The audio guide was £6.00 and worth it for the extra bit of info and that it is so busy it's impossible to read the info in the display cases. Tip - TAKE YOUR OWN HEADPHONES as the guide has s jack point and will make it easier to hear.
There are lifts for those who need them.
The gift shop is expensive and the Virtual Tour is additional priced so didn't do this.
Overall worth it to see these treasures just be aware that there are queues to contend with.
Also it's really warm in the gallery so using the cloak room is s good idea.
C. J.
Beautiful galleries. King Tutankhamun exhibit is amazing.
S. F.
Too many art shows are here ? Really good. Thank you
C. “. B.
Excellent new exhibition with the J R Chronicles....quite disturbing but moving in places. Go.
s.
Fabulous day out. Exhibition really well displayed and very informative. The cafe was very disappointing very little character and couldn't get a veggie sandwich. Save your pennies before going and eat at the cafe outside the gallery which has a great menu.
L. B.
Tutenkamun exhibition was great, really enjoyed it, lovely gallery and later evening viewing was welcomed. The exhibition rooms were a little unbalanced exhibit wise, with the first being less engaging, and the last with just one large and impressive statue, would have liked to spen d more time in gallery three but felt pressed to get to the others before closing time. All in still good, the door and gallery staff were helpful and friendly, thanks to the doorman who let us in after being a little late from transport issues, we really appreciated it. Thanks
M. D.
Beautiful building and the exhibition was outstanding
D.
Tutankhamun was excellent! VR tour is totally worth it, be prepared to wait. But do it.
S. S.
Decent exhibition with reasonable admission fee. Also in front if the gallery there is nice green area where you can seat or stroll with peace and quiet. Will visit again when there is new collection:)
R. D.
Very good interesting experience especially Bob Marley
J. H.
Nicely lit and airy exhibition space. Good location.
J. O.
I absolutely loved it. The whole exhibition from the lower ground floor to the second floor was remarkable. I really enjoyed the arctic photojournalist images, and also the anti-plastic bags piece of work. The grandeur of them all was excellent, as each piece was about triple the size of me. It feels very new, and the works of art are all 2019, so for a free gallery it is worth visiting to see the newest modern art!
J. J.
I went to the StArt emerging Artists exhibition and I was absolutely enthralled. I was there much longer than I expected and every moment was a discovery of a new piece of food for the soul by way of the most wonderful collection of art in all its forms that I have seen. The gallery itself is a triumph of modernity in a period building and not only were drinks available at the bar but there was a superb band playing. I was truly in heaven for the whole of my visit.
T. B.
We went Sunday 15th March, for the Tutankhamen exhibition was great very well laid out, although will say the glass cases some of the exhibits were in, could have positioned the exhibits better so the joins in the glass didn't interfere with the view.
The staff were brilliant with making sure things were clean.
Y. J.
Lovely area, very very busy to look around the tut exhibition. The queue was very long but we managed to jump queue to due to a wheelchair user. There are 5 rooms to go in. Great exhibition but it is busy and not always easy to nice around, but hang back and you will manage to see it. There is a lift to the upper floor, toilets and cafe. But did not go in the cafe.
T.
Went to see the Tutankhamun exhibition and it was amazing! If you hate crowds more than u want to see a piece of history then stay away but for me, it was worth every bump from a stranger to see these exquisite pieces. We took our time in each gallery, waited for the crowd to move on and had a good look and it was worth the eqait each time. 200% recommend!
T. W.
Just visited the Tutankhamun exhibition. It's here until May 2020. There are items on display that are first time out of Egypt. The whole gallery is dedicated to this exhibition. It explains briefly the life story of the boy King, and how he was written out of history until the burial chamber was found in 1922, bringing his name back to life and the history books. Well worth a visit.
I. N.
Well worth the trip to see the gallery. The artefacts are all explained and well lit. The atmosphere is good and there is a plethora of information everywhere. The movies are short yet informative and the staff is friendly. The gift shop, as expected, is a bit pricier than I'd like. The only complaint I have is that they offer a VR experience which is £15/person extra. For a ticket price of £30/person, I would have thought everything was included.
L. R.
Tutankhamun exhibition was just fabulous. Staff lovely and helpful.
What I would say is that you need to be patient as it was extremely crowded. Lifts are provided, but I have poor mobility and found it extremely tiring. It took us far longer to get round than the advertised 90 minutes (we were 4 1/2 hours).
The audio guide was £6 and worth it. The gallery is really warm, sometimes verging on uncomfortable so I'd advised leaving coats for the minimal fee of £2 @ the cloakroom.
But the artifacts are superb.
I did think that the gift shop was a little overpriced.
Thank you for a lovely day.
I. F.
We had a wonderful time there, to admire the treasure of Toutankhamun. Reservation required (otherwise the tickets were all sold out). A 2h visit is a strict minimum if you want to enjoy everything. It would be a real pleasure to come back for another exposition.
T. 2.
Tutankhamun exhibition was amazing! Well worth the visit. Saatchi Gallery is a great space
