Reviews of The Dungeons London
T. T. R.
Today we visited the London Dungeons, in my opinion this is the best attraction in London. You take a trip back in time through some of London's darkest periods like the black plague, great fire of London and jack the ripper to mention a few.
The actors inside the attraction are fantastic and never break character. The attraction is creepy, funny & exciting. Give the dungeons a visit you won't be disappointed.
L. F.
Too many people in one group shoving and pushing trying to get into the next room while lighting was very low in our group. No pictures could be taken inside during attraction. Definitely need to book in advance since shows are at certain times.
S. R.
Came from America and this was top on our list of things to do! I loved learning about the history of London’s dark past in an interactive way! The cast is excellent! 10/10 recommend
J.
It's amazing and very fun. I recommend coming here with friends or family. (By urself is til fun but quite scary) It is about an hour long and very enjoyable. Very scary at times so I don't recommend this place for young kids however if they're not scared then GO
R. K.
Was really good. Really enjoyed. The only reason why I gave it a 4 * because even though the signs said no flash photography. We wasn't allowed to take pictures at all. Which wasn't stated. And staff would make a pop if we had our phone out. The group was a bit too big for my personal preference. (40+ people in one group). I think it would have been more of a better experience if it was a smaller group
But all in all. Was a really good. Really enjoyed it
A. S.
Excellent attraction you need to book in advance. Small acted out snippets of the grimier side of London history very audience interactive. I have to say the quality of acting is a high standard. My favorite part was Sweeney Todd whoever was playing Mrs Lovett had an amazing intensity. A pity two of the attractions were not working but didn't really spoil it at all still over an hour and a half long. Gift shop was not over priced and sold good quality items. There is a bar incorporated at the end of the shop would recommend.
E. N.
Not just funny but also scary, spooky and thoroughly entertaining. We went as a group of four adults and the staff were brilliant, great characters and good storytelling. We didn't expect the experience to be as lengthy or as fun as it was and we were really pleasantly surprised by how much effort had clearly gone into making it worthwhile. We would highly recommend giving it a go!
F. H.
We had a great time at the London Dungeons, highly recommended. The actors were brilliant, both spooky and comical! Two rides there, one is height restricted. Little gift shop at the end with a bar.
P. V.
A very enjoyable time out with the family. The live performers were all excellent, some very quirky and humour thrown in for good measure. Would recommend a visit but it is probably a one time only visit.
Z. T.
My dad went when he was a young adult years ago and he always raves on and on about how scary this place was and how much he and his friend enjoyed it. As I finally visited London, I had to visit the dungeons, my father would never forgive me. And Boy, I'm glad I did. Money well spent! I laughed, I swore (under my breath, there was children), I screamed. The actors and actresses deserve an applause. The souvenir shop had loads of goodies that I wanted to buy them all. There was loads of spooky Halloween decor that I just absolutely loved. Thank you for a unique experience that I will rave about to my own children one day.
T. W.
A neat touristy attraction that showcases some gruesome British history in a fun and interactive way.
Actors are pretty good and involve audience members, and several horror elements add a few jolts of adrenaline.
Tourist trap or not; if you go into this with a fun mindset and some love for history, you won't be disappointed.
C.
We had lots of fun! Some of it was a bit dated (sound effect etc.) but most of the actors were amazing and the ladies at the pub at the end were lovely.
R. G.
£27 ticket price, I'd say it's worth it for the experience. The actors were wonderful, the sets were great, as were the rides. The bar at the end was a fun novelty, and reasonably priced.
N. R.
Lovely staff on the doors. Well organised. Actors all really excellent in their roles. Very very scary in most bits especially when lights go off too! Good sound and visual effects effects! Certainly lives up to its name, everything covered that London is known for.
P. T.
One of those places to tick off and sat I have been their, I thought it would have been scary but very tame really, not somewhere I would rush back too, all the staff were plesent and played there part
S. L. T.
My Son and I enjoyed it. I was scared and held on to him the whole time. P.s. He's only 13! Lol! Great experience overall! Two pictures were before everything got scary; all phones turned off!

Initially we thought £30 per person sounded expensive, afterwards we thought it was worth every penny. It would have been better in a slightly smaller group size, so my advice would be to go at quiet times. Great experience though. A far cry from what it was 20 years ago.
R. C.
This place is full of history. A nice day out for a family or group of friends. If you are into history this is a place to visit when you visit London City. When walking around you can feel the ancient time.
L. D.
Brilliant experience; very jump scary, different rooms where the history of London gets discussed by actors such as guy fawkes, fire of London, the plague etc. Tickets I believe for just this attraction is £40 an adult, you are better off doing a multi attraction buy as you can get the sea life Aquarium, the dungeons and the London Eye for £100 an adult, saving yourself money if you decide to do more on the day
I. v.
It was a great experience, scary in some places. Would recommend. The rides were good too. The actors were fantastic in their roles. Would go again.
T. C.
An amazing afternoon, the whole tour is interactive and in lots of places more scary and creepy than expected. We will be going again and would recommend it to anyone, older children who aren't easily scared would also love the experience although I would try and explain as much as possible to them so they can make an informative decision as to whether they want to go or not. If you're not faint-hearted then it is an experience that shouldn't be missed
G. R.
Such a great place to go to. I’m so glad that no psychopath old men shouted at me for no reason on a regular basis whenever I came her. No one touched my breast or bottom or spoke to me about any sexual matters. I felt so safe. 10/10
K. M.
Brilliant attraction. Educational and fun. The actors /actresses are fab. They do so well to do what they do all day every day. A couple of down sides, it felt very rushed like we had to go through each section super fast. There was a larger group travelling together. I think they have to many people going around together. Should have smaller groups.
Must say, it is very warm when going around the Dungeons. Little sitting time. My nephew and I had come to London for the Dungeons from the midlands and due to the heat he passed out. The first aider was able to get to us and take us to somewhere he could sit. There was a junior doctor in our group who helped us too. Many thanks to him and the staff for looking after us.
p. b.
Yes a fun and scary place to visit, if they excepted cash I would have rated this visit 5 stars. We really did enjoy our visit the actor's were all fantastic, the lady in the cage was my favourite
N. M.
Myself and 11 and 12 year old girls enjoyed a half term treat last week. Fantastic fun for all of us. They were as terrified as anticipated but in a good humoured, spooky way. Fantastic staff/actors. The 2 rides were scary and fitting with the whole experience. Good value for money on the friends and family tickets and a great day of memories.
A. F.
Enjoyable experience if a little cheesy. The acting was good.
It would be significantly better if they didn't try to cram as many people in as they do. At the moment it's "right everyone shuffle on to the next bit" vibe and it feels like a check box event.
M. H.
First time visiting although I've lived in London for almost two decades, really enjoyed it. All actors were top quality. Would definitely recommend.
A. F.
Highly recommended if you do not scare
Involve many rooms in the dungeon each with specific character that could involve one of the audience in the show
Nice , joyful and worth every penny
It may take about 2 hours for the full journey , so consider that if you book other attraction on the same day
Tickets could be bought from london eye ticket machines or online from lastminute.com with more other attractions which makes the price more acceptable in total
It needs specific time to enter so book tickets in advance
R. J.
It was pretty enjoyable but there are just too many people per group. It was hard to really get into the atmosphere when we were squashed up with other visitors, and then there's an awkward shuffle to get out of each station.
Having said that, a few of the stations were really sensory and fun. The Thames ride, Sweeney Todd, and the final drop were all great. I would love it if it had been even more sensory. More dankness, more hanging things... but ultimately group sizes need to be smaller.
M. J.
Absolutely awesome! A random spontaneous half term family treat and we did not know what to expect at all. We were engaged from the minute we arrived. The immersive theatre was brilliant and the whole trip was really fun, informative and at times utterly terrifying. I am terrified of the dark and it was pitch black through most of it so we were jumping out of our skins constantly and enjoyed every thrilling second! Highly recommend if you enjoy theatre, story telling and freaking out. Great value as a family ticket and an experience to always remember. The actors were blooming marvellous throughout and the various effects really added depth to the experience. Thumbs up!
H. P.
I was hoping for more of a factual tour but this is all theatrical. Almost like an immersive experience and the group was large and it felt a bit rushed. It would also have been nice to have been told if the experiance is actually held in the place where the Historic dungeons once were.
S. S.
An amazing experience. You are made to feel a part of the whole experience and there is a 'haunted' Barton have a relaxing drink at the end of it all. Highly recommended.
H. H.
Was a good interactive experience but could be a lot better. Your paying alot of money to go in here but your only in for an hour and don't really have any option to go back or look at anything else. Your sheparded through then your out! Where's the opportunities for people to take their own photos? Go to the London Bridge experience instead I'd say, this is really for the non English tourist
m. b.
An amazing day. Thank you Monika
My daughter was very excited to visit the dungeon, however, She immediately changed her mind after realising how real it looks. Fortunately We had the nicest person dealing with us - Monika. She helped us to exit and offered us Shrek Adventure instead.
In the end of the day my daughter was so happy.
I personally loved the dungeon and can’t wait to visit it again. Definitely one of the best attraction in London. I can’t stop recommending it to all my friends.
D. S.
Had an amazing visit with my wife and 12yo daughter. What a great performance by some of the actors / storytellers! It is an experience combined with storytelling, entertainment and rides. If you've got a kid that's scared easily, better skip it. The actors don't hold back!
I. A.
Amazing experience! The environment itself sets such an exciting and spooky scene and the actors do a great job of being in character. The experience itself is quite interactive (they even try to mimic smells) as well and the rides are so much fun! I especially liked the boat ride. I feel like the drop should be much longer as it felt quite anticlimactic and the photos should at least be included in the booking package. They were a bit on the expensive side.
J. R.
Show was great. Spooky, funny, realistic and interesting. I deduct 1 star because the group size was too big (20-25 people).
J. B.
Very fun experience and place to go to when in London. The acting is really and it's all very entertaining for all different ages. You can get a few pictures taken of you and your friends/family but you still have to pay to get them. All round I really enjoyed it.
I. R.
Well, it's been fun! I was screaming more than the kids around, not sure how they are so brave these days 😀 one star down for massive queues, but otherwise definitely worth the visit :)
S. H.
Excellent experience, very gruesome and not suitable for children. It was very dark in there and feels like your walking around blind folded at times, this is the reason for the 4 stars as I think in the fully dark areas when you are walking around the building you can use a little light.
Other than that, excellent experience!! Would definitely recommend.
M. H.
A classic London attraction, well worth a visit.
Friendly professional staff.
Much fun had by all.
l. s.
It’s pretty good. I took my 14 year old and it was quite scary. But once you settle in it’s funny and good. The various scenes include abou Guy Fawkes, The Ripper, Crime and punishment, medical treatments, Sweeny Todd. All pretty gory but really well acted by young very talented people. Not sure it’s completely worth it, it lasts about 50 mins but we missed out the last rapid drop. So possibly an hour. I’d recommend it. But not for under 1Os….
A. B.
You are going to move through various settings/rooms, where various actors are welcoming your group. You must be able to speak English to get the full experience. Expect the actors to interact with people in your group and ask you questions. The actors are really skilled and professional. The settings are also very trustworthy. I was very pleasantly surprised. A very good experience.
R. J.
Had a great time here, allow maybe 2 hours in total if you want to have a drink at the bar once your finished. The photos you can buy of your time on the ride are a complete rip off but then this is always the way in these kind of places. Such a different experience to the London Dungeons of old where you used to be able to walk around at your own pace and spend 3-4 hours inside but actually I found they struck just the right balance in this model. Good live actors. The pie lady and the judge were my favorites. Felt sorry for the bar maid at the end who had to listen to just two piano songs endlessly over a 10 hour shift.
L. H.
Absolutely brilliant - the only downside is the water ride we were so looking forward to was broken 😞 so we didn’t get a chance to go on that and they didn’t explain that before we went in.
Such a shame but apart from that the actors were amazing, funny and the whole experience was such fun
l. x. (.
Best show about British history really likes it but was kinda scary though but I enjoyed it (warning ) there are inappropriate things. It also has 3d effects which can cause headaches stuff like that but it’s a must go
K. H.
Excellent experience, really fun. My youngest was 13 at the time... she was suitably spooked. I wouldn't suggest it to children much younger than around 12. Actors were fantastic and stayed in character interacting with the crowd. Very enjoyable.
F. S. A.
New experience. They talk much to explain what is coming.
L. B.
Super amazing, went with my grandad and we both loved it. Grate for a day out and then you can CET lunch just on queen's walk. BEAUTIFUL
S. T.
The actors are doing an outstanding job there. It is an interactive experience. The free fall at the was a surprise but there is something missing in the entire experience as i didnt really enjoy it that much overall. Though, few bits were really amazing and as I mentioned all the actors were incredible.
J. B.
Enjoyed the experience. Very professional staff. Wouldn't liked to have more frights when walking from room to room. Bar at the end was great.
J. G.
Was a good laugh with some scary bits. Actors made it though some of them was Oscar worthy.
Plague nurse, Mrs Lovett, Torture chamber lady was fantastic.
k. T. c.
Honestly the best experience I have ever done !
Not a short stop goes on for quite some times
Well doNe to the actors and actresses , you were brilliant ! Amazing !!? ❤️
Well worth the money . Sure to be back again
K. C.
I originally came here as a child and absolutely loved it. Now as an adult, nothing has changed, I still love this place. It is a very well organized and informative attraction, both fun and educational. We had the "London Pass" and believed that this would give us entry but it didn't. That's not the fault of "London Dungeon", but it it incorrect advertising on behalf of "London Pass". Having paid full price, I would still say that this attraction is very good value for money, the actors here make all the difference and they are fun and engaging. Despite not booking in advance, there was no wait to get into this attraction. I would recommend this to anyone.
K. K.
My boys are 15,14 & 9, it's always hard to find something they all like but they all enjoyed this, happy kids = happy mum ☺️, only thing was my 9 year old was too small for the ride at the end x
N. P.
This place is fantastic. The actors are absolutely brilliant. My kids 6 and 9 found it scary but in a fun way. Right from when we arrived the atmosphere made you feel like you had travelled back in time. I highly recommend a visit here.
C.
Excellent. Just the right amount of being scared. Actors were quick to gauge their audience and willing partition. Really enjoyable
D. D.
I took my 11 year old and we had the best time, actors were great, loads of rooms and bits of history and enough gore to intrigue the kids. Age wise would advise 10 upwards, there were younger kids on the tour who were properly frightened and wanting to leave but we loved it.
Only downside was the total lack of covid safety. 40 of us herded and crammed into small rooms, no way at all to distance and only 3 out of 40 people wore masks.
H. M.
Well it ok. Just walking through and little things happen like floor movies and chairs. In dark sometimes too. Some actors ok. I have fibromyalgia and had to walk with a stick that day we went. We stood at back so I wouldn't slow down. Only problem was when one actor ushered us out we was last. He walked back through door and let it go on me. I thought he would hold it while I went through. Doors are heavy and it hit me and nearly knocked me over. My husband had to grab it. I don't like to bad review but that did upset me. As I want to enjoy they places. Good fun and in dark alot. But more manners be nice. In a world where people suffer all sorts of illness a bit more understanding be nice.
M. R.
This place is historic, yet it’s also amusing and comedic. When I came here I was surprised by how amazing the acting was. All the actors were great at their roles and it was pretty fun. I feel like I learned quite a bit about history without the boring parts of it. You need to book in advance, but it’s definitely worth your time.
B. J.
Came today for first time was amazing however was little upset that some off the rooms was cut such as the great fire of London part and the boat ride and another' part i think but overall it was great
P. T. N.
Great for kids and teens. My daughter loved it! Not the original dungeons obviously but some good characters and a drop style ride at the end. Nice little bar you drink from at the end and souvenirs to chose from. Prices aren't too bad ever! X
G. G.
What an experience and the actors were excellent. The whole journey was full of surprises and lots of jumps and scares!
It's educational, exciting and full of surprises.
I would definatley recommend visiting the dungeons if you go to London. It's great for older children and adults.
G. K.
Fun day out. Great actors and friendly staff. Having a cheeky prosseco next door too by the river xx
R. H.
Went here on the weekend with my other half, been before but was happy to go again. The experience is very intense, wouldn’t recommend it for very young children as we had a few on our tour who were pretty shook up. Very loud, in your face, great for children who can grasp the idea that these people are only actors. Had a couple of cocktails after which were nice. Definitely recommend if you haven’t been before and want to kill some time while in London!
P. S.
Brilliant tour, nice and fun. Very interactive and get all the group involved, (approx 15 per group) a lot of spooky scenes and a brilliant ride at the end. One of the best things to do in my opinion. Tour is just over and hour long. No phones aloud so no pictures sorry
S. N.
If you'll like scary, you might love it, but honestly the following is worth stating for those who are of a nervous disposition! If you're claustrophobic, suffer any kind of panic or anxiety disorder or have a disability which means you might want to leave at any time, there is not this option as far as I could see. Cramped lifts, crowds squashed very close together, frights, 1.5 hours of standing and lots of feeling helpless and confused, not to mention three or four minutes in the pitch dark at one stage (literally can't see a thing, not even your own hand in front of your eyes!) with no idea what's going on, with noises and things that feel like they're touching your head... Maybe because I went on Halloween so it was worse than usual, but it was a truly disorientating experience - not necessarily a good one!! Apart from that, great actors, excellent set design/props and some fun history facts. Only go if you've a strong stomach for scary!
M. N.
We had such a good time, there was so much more then I thought would be included. Not sure I would do a return visit unless the tour changed now I’ve seen it but so worth visiting if you haven’t been.
A. M. -. S.
I have been to both the Edinburgh and London dungeons now two times each. It's one of the best things you can do, and I cannot recommend it enough. If you go don't be a lamo and ruin other people's fun though, get involved and take in the experience
S. W.
Quite a fun place to go if you have never been before. Actors at least do try to put in the effort to entertain, and there are a couple of rides. Got free tickets but wouldn't pay full price.
H. W.
Amazing from start to finish! A must see attraction if you enjoy some horrible history. Every single member of staff throughout the tour was brilliant. Lots of humour and frights! I couldn't recommend it more.
V. T.
Amazing experience. I didn’t know where history stopped and fiction started.
Let me not spoil it for anyone but the dungeon delivers a blend of history and fiction in a most realistic, funny and sometimes startling manner.
M. T.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience for all the family brave enough to face the horrible history of the great city of London. Full of fantastic talented actors who help retell the darker and creepier side of London's past with special effects, jump scares and exciting rides. A great day out for anyone who wants to experience the more scarey, sinister side of this incredible capital city.
V. H.
Lots of fun. We booked online 2 weeks before. We had a quick lunch next door to the dungeons. I booked a 12pm slot. There was no queue outside. We queued for around 15 minutes inside. The tour was brilliant. The boat ride and the drop ride were working and this made the tour complete.
My partner is disabled, he was able to walk around fine.
R. M.
Amazing story telling plenty of Jump scares and the rides are amazing, you should make your appointment with the hangman post haste!!!!
a. s.
Fantastic time. Excellent actors and actresses giving the tour. Brilliantly done. Wouldn’t take kids too young as it’s very dark and some parts a little scary, but this is needed to get the proper feel.
S. 4.
Good fun, could have been a few more things between each room, but nice touches in some of the effects. Boat and drop hang were working which added another element. Got 2 for 1 on the tickets, not sure I'd want to pay full price, but added to a good day out with two teenagers.
S. D.
Great day out! Full of laughs and old fashioned fun! Top tip: look online for deals and book in advance!
S. K.
Brilliant experience. We visited during the school break and we were not dissapointed. With a few scare jumps and amazing actors we learned alot about the history of London and it's historical figures. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout.
J. D.
Great experience. Loved the history and all the characters. Will definitely be going again
K. O. k.
I didn't know what to expect tbh cause I didn't research in advance, but I must say, it was really great. The actors were all well trained and it was a brilliant way to learn some of London's dark history. As long as you are up for some scares you're good to go.
N. R.
It wasn't at all what I was expecting. I thought it was more of a museum of old torture equipment and things as opposed to an entertaining look at London history, but it was really fun. Not cheap, but well worth the money. The actors and actresses make it that extra bit special. I wanna do it again, so it must be good.
N. S.
Had a great time here with my grown up daughter. The actors are all great, some funny, others scary. Marge and Flora were excellent as Sweeny Todds assistants it's creepy so be prepared to squirm. Loved the mirror maze could've walked round and round for days lol 😆
I would've given 5 stars but noticed later that I was overcharged for my drinks and souvenirs by £6 😞
T. T.
A walk and a sail through the ages of London. I was taken by my wife and I am not a fan of the dark but I survived, lol. The thought of a cocktail at the end got me through. Interaction with the characters were brilliant. Can not praise highly enough.
S. T.
The best fun I have had for ages. The actors and actresses are absolutely amazing and scared the life out of me. Not recommended for young children that scare easily
A. N.
My 2nd time at this place. I vividly remember getting scared as a kid...and I was still just as terrified as a whole grown woman this time😂🤣 The people who work inside are terrific at their jobs!
S. B.
Great fun, well worth the visit, just don't be in a mad rush as it takes a bit of time, just be patient and enjoy it!
M. D.
Great fun and fantastic staff acting out key London events. Very funny and tongue in cheek humour with audience interaction. Shame the boat ride wasn't operating due to Covid restrictions but good nonetheless
m.
Things you CANNOT un-see.
This place is well done. Probably the best "haunted house" I've ever been too. They bring to life the awful history of punishment, and methods used to obtain information and confessions. Beware, you will see things you will not forget.
D. B.
Absolutely amazing! One of the best place I have ever been!
Not recommended for children as sometimes I was scared 😱
G. W.
We used the Kelloggs adults go free deal, so much more reasonable. Not sure I would pay full price. Actors are great and funny, quite scary and a bit jumpy at times. Short boat ride as fun, and the drop at the end. Would definitely go again with deal.
K. M.
Must visit if you're around! Not too sure if I would take kids over there as some parts could be too spooky for them.
C. G.
Having been to the old London dungeons several times, I thought I would take a look at the new one. Well in all honesty really disappointed nothing like the old one. This one your in a large group and just taken to rooms and told about certain people or times in gruesome history, with a few rides thrown in. All well done but the old experience I found was much more fun and exciting. Worth a look but I certainly Wouldn't go again and not sure if I would really recommend any more, such a massive shame. Ruined a really great place to visit.
J. E.
Wow. It was so interesting. Like it's totally worth the money. It's really entertaining and some parts a bit scary. I like the fact they make it feel and look real. And they involved different people in the whole details. I literally didn't want it to end. Nd the last ride part was just priceless. I also loved the fact the took you pictures and gave you the chance to collect it. I loved all the characters they really played their role so well, I can't even choose a favourite they were all so good. They had this enthusiasm.
N. F.
Well organised and the actors were great. But could be made scarier. The ride at the end was 30 seconds and so short it was completely pointless. It took longer for everyone to get seated than the ride actually took!
C. T.
Not for younger kids or the more easily scared.
The actors were great and there are some very good effects, but our 11 year old and 13 year old were too scared to enjoy the experience and we ended up bailing out after the Sweeny Todd part. Just a warning to anyone taking kids who thinks it will be like one of those medieval castle experiences - it's not!!
Now hoping there won't be nightmares.
P. C.
Enjoyed the adventure. Allot of actors and special affects, longer than expected so good value
K. O.
Was far better than expected, actors excellent and made the show/tour worth every penny.
A. L.
Ensure you book to get in. Really great place, actors are witty and read the crowd well. Some shocks and jumps but well worth it. Be prepared to join in as it makes the experience all the more immersive. Not allowed to take photos inside. Official photos are available.
P. V.
Great day out, staff really professional and friendly, perfect amount of scares and laughs would 100% go again! Thoroughly recommend!
H.
The dungeons themselves were great and the actors are brilliant. The ride at the end is quite fun aswell! Unfortunately we wanted photos of us on the ride but the printer and card machine weren't working so we got emailed 1 photo... Not the three we were willing to buy! We did ask for all the photos but staff weren't willing to send us those...
J. W.
Been to lots of different dungeons this was not a patch on any of them. Lots of walking through dark corridors and little else. Don't waste your money
B. E.
Absolutely loved our visit and it was made so special as it was my birthday too, amazing actors, amazing sets and just all round an amazing experience. Can't wait for the next visit.
O. T.
1st time going here for me, I really enjoyed the experience, actors were really good, believable and got you into the feel of the stories they were portraying. Made me want to watch all the Tim Burton movies haha. They had the smells, the decor and lighting all down to a very old dungeon feel, Dark and wet. My only reason for 4 stars is we had a very friendly gent at the front entrance who said my pregnant partner could keep her rucksack at security, when we got to the security man and asked him he said no. So we were a little upset about that.with all the tourism there these places need bag drop offs.
S. B.
Amazing experience with great storytelling. The scenes are brilliant and the actors just add so much value.
100% worth going, will go again!
S. M.
We have visited a few of these Dungeons now, really enjoyable experience. They are very well organised and the actors make the show.
Our favourite is the Amsterdam Dungeons but that might just be because it was the first of these we visited.
B. O.
Hi to all,
The London dungeons speaks for itself.
It's scary, spooky, and the actors are so great!
However, for 75% of the time where they needed volunteers, one guy called Dave hogged the spotlight. Choose someone else for each ride. Not just one person for 3/4 of it!
E. W.
My partner and I had been to the dungeons before in the past location so had a bit of an idea what to expect when we visited today. The experience is definitely bigger and better than the old location. Unfortunately during the experience I started to feel quite ill and we let the staff member know and they were very understanding and prompt in helping me out back into the fresh air and checked everything was okay so thank you, especially to 'Toby' in Sweeney Todd.
A.
Absolutely loved it! I’ve been before to the Edinburgh dungeons and this was even better! The highlight of my trip to London, it was extremely interesting, exciting and the actors were brilliant when it came to scares and including the visitors. I loved the stories and the special effects, the characters and, of course, the jump scares. My personal favourite was the Newgate prison section, the prisoner was especially creepy! But other highlights include Jack the Ripper and Sweeney Todd!
S. C.
Great fun, good length tour, and the dead drop at the end was a nice way to finish!
y. n.
So good! Fantastically enthusiastic actors! Well done 👏
L. B.
A fun look through some of Londons gruesome history that at points was genuinely eerie. A majority of the actors were on point with their performances. However If I had to change one thing it would be the ride at the end. It needs something other than a small drop to make it scary because all of the people around me left asking if that was all it had to offer. Over all a great day out for all the family
S. L.
Great place, very well done with excellent actors. Probably not one to take younger children as their are a lot of adult themes which might upset of confuse.
2 great rides. No photos allowed are attraction
A.
Was a shame that one of the rides were not working. Actors were very good. However over priced for me. Spent over £100 on tickets and then they wanted another £20 for photos/souvenir. Also small children were allowed in that were petrified and crying at some of the acts maybe there should be an age limit.
R. H.
Enjoyed this a lot. Have been in the other dungeons around the UK but you can tell this has all the elements they borrow and a bit more besides. Would recommend.
T. G.
Masks can be worn, queues and tour not ram packed. Felt safer wearing a mask myself. Enjoyable family outing, recommended booking in advance.
E. T. U.
We went on the Friday before Halloween and it was super scary. Thr sctors were great too. The boat ride was interesting but not scary. The last thing was the freefall drop but my son and I dodged it by escaping through the freedom gate. I would say that my favourite area was where the plague victims were being 'cut up' Shame we couldn't take pictures! My only criticism was that they groups were a bit too large and sometimes made it difficult to get everyone into the same set.
W. D.
Fantastic place first time visit and surprisingly loved it. You wont be disappointed
D. M.
A fun and interactive couple of hours. We (2 adults & 2 kids aged 14 & 12) went on the last Saturday of the summer holidays. The queue wasn't very long 15 - 20 mins. A scary trip through Londons darkest history which had my wife gripping on to me in complete fear🤣. A must see for all visitors to London. PS The drop was very scary.......
A. M.
How amazing is London Dungeon's. We had an absolutely fabulous morning. It was going to be slightly different due to Covid. But the actors are awesome telling the story and interacting as you go through. Definitely some jumpy moments, we laughed, screamed and got picked on. Everyone should do this attraction. Staff also wore masks and ensured everyone was social distancing.
J. D.
Absolutely brilliant time with my friend.
Great actors who know their stuff and do a great job st frightening the h**l out of you.
A.
Really good. Tons better than london eye and cruise i went on. Interactive, funny, scary. Just wish would've been half an hour longer as this was really fun
I. V.
Great place atleast if you can immerse yourself a bit in the scene. The experience consists of many "scenes" that you are thrown in. The scenes are such as trials, hangings, jails, torture and all kind of fun stuff. Lots of screaming was heard.
M. E.
First time in The Dungeon! the moment you enter it is very dark and scary 👀the actors were brilliant and at story telling. But not too sure on the ride at the end! But glad I went on it. (never again!!)
T. N.
So much fun! Very involved experience.
They do their best with regards to COVID, but if it's something your concerned about I'd give it a miss
R. J.
Excellent educational and fun experience. Really thorough and precise detailing of historical events. Have been twice and both times have been just as good. Highly recommend.
J. C.
Excellent characters performing to the history of London.. My fav was "The plague" scene where got squirted by a"heart" and leches were crawling under your seat. (not real ones). The special effects were scarey but felt so real. Will return another time for sure.
C. A.
Its a shame this place has been moved, it used to be creepy but it seems more aimed at juniours
s. m.
Completely and utterly brilliant. 10 year old loved it and wasn't too scared. Partner who is 30 years older also loved it! Reasonable price and overall a great experience.
A. W. (.
We had a great time at The London Dungeon with a great cast of characters who brought the centuries of history to life! The only tweak I'd make would be to have some people doing the scaring down the corridors in between some of the places we visited... Not all the time but just enough to make you wonder if some of the shapes were real people or not! :)
J. V. D. M.
Really enjoyed our afternoon attge Dungeons, however, it was very crowded and too many people shoved into each room, it spoiled the experience because there were quite a few rooms that were overcrowded to the extent that you missed what was being said.
Other than that, we had a good time.
A. K.
I would say that London Dungeon is a bit overrated. They take you to not so pleasant past of London but I left wanting for more on the scares. Most of times we were walking in pitch dark, not knowing where to go.
Overall a one time visit attraction.
M. T.
I came here with the wife (39 & 46 yo) and didn't expect much to honest. Although we love theme parks still at our age, not really one for the mazes, horror ride throughs etc. However, this was different and if they had this at Alton or Thorpe, I'd be in it again. The minute you walk past reception, you are 'in' the event, although waiting for others to join the group experience (time slot event), the actors are in the act and funny. I really enjoyed the dungeon and the actors are amazing and really make the experience. The affects without giving spoilers could be better, but are made up for by the actors. Mrs Lovett Pie shop - awesome actress and oh you are so good looking! LOL. Experience lasted a while and very enjoyable.
M. S.
We took family here as a surprise a couple of month ago and it did not disappoint! The team were great, the actors were incredibly and extremely engaging and interactive with the audience. The effects, the atmosphere and the experience were great. Loved the two ride elements of this particular Dungeon and everyone raved about it afterwards. One of the highlights of our weekend for sure.
R. C.
After living in London for 4 years, I finally went to The London Dungeon and the only regret I have, is not going sooner. I absolutely loved it. It is scarey, funny, educational and the reenactment was just brilliant.
K. Y.
Really fun experience! Great with friends or as a date. It's an interactive tour so if you're not into that this may not be for you
R. S.
Unexpectedly fabulous! Really lovely family outing. Live actors great....well worth a visit. A couple of unexpected rides too!
D. T.
Wasn't really looking forward to it but came out having thoroughly enjoyed myself. The staff were really good throughout. They were good at group participation.
M. J.
Haha! Could it be more scary? I don't think so! Fabulous staff and actors ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
S. T.
Went here in the Half Term with the kids, had a fantastic time, well worth the experience, highly recommended.
E. T.
Funny and great actors!! Great decor and really scary/ immersive!! Me and my sister (18) had an amazing time good for adults :D
T. J.
What a fantastic experience, it was fun and scary. The whole experience was done to perfection. You could tell the staff all loved theirs jobs and I would recommend to anyone
A. N.
This is a brilliant experience. A little scary for the younger kids but ok for the 10 an ups. Really good tour - highly recommended. A must visit if you go to London.
L. K. M.
A really brilliant day out i found it fun and definitely worth the money but I think they should stay open late and do special events ( for adults only) on Halloween.
m. t.
Great to learn a bit of history in a fun way. Group size just a little large and shorter people struggled to see. But well worth the vist
O. O.
Funny, informative, and would highly recommend! The acting was brilliant.
K. H.
Oodles of fun and genuinely creepy. I made a 'finger food' joke in the pie shop and got a huge laugh, feel free to do the same.
M. M.
Fantastic definitely worth the money. Actors were brilliant in character. Boat ride made us all jump.
F. D.
Would recommend it to people that do not know anything about London history. The only downside is that some of the scares were a bit anticlimactic.
D. H.
Fantastic experience, the actors were fantastic especially Mrs Lovett and the nurse who dissected the doctor! Very informative and fun for all involved.
C. O.
I just love the dungeons! Had a great laugh with my son.... I've been here a few times and still enjoy it (new and old location) Definitely recommend!
i. w.
For me it was too long as there are 2 or 3 of the sections which are both unnecessary and a bit boring, especially the mirrored room. The young actors were very good and committed.
P. R.
Awesome! It's not very scary but worth it. During my visit it had 2 rides and 19 plays(short gigs), the actors gave great performances. Loved to learn a bit more about London's dark side. Better not to take children for this one.
L. R.
A fun place to visit, went as a family of 6, very good.
R. G.
A Trip Through Darkest London.
Having not been to the London Dungeon before, I cannot compare the new venue to the previous one. Based on my experience at the London Dungeon today, I would recommend it to anyone over the age of ten...ish, depending on how resilient your child is. Parts of the show can be quite scarey and gruesome but on the whole it is not horrendeous.
The actors really try to involve everyone, which is great and if you let your imagination go, you can really get captivated with the experience.
I would recommend that you check the weather before you go as you will probably have to queue outside initially. I recommend a raincoat as you are less likely to take someone's eye out in comparison with an umbrella!
The only two let downs were the waiting time to get into the first room and the waiting time to get into the last bit. Not too much of an issue though as there is plenty to keep you occupied.
W. B.
We went to the Dungeons Friday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very helpful and the actors were very professional and really added to the atmosphere of the place. Especially loved the Sweeney Todd part with the 'very close shaves'. Just ashame the boat ride wasn't working. A great day out from the moment you step in the lift 😉
G. C.
Had a good time. Bit expensive. But in a nice location near Thames and right by the London eye. Not ideal location for retail stores but maybe I just couldn't find them. The London aquarium is also in this area.
M. W.
Same experience over and over. Snippet of pseudo-history, lights go out, jump scare. It's done reasonably well, but nothing special, not worth the price if money is tight.
M. B.
Great outing if you enjoy the feeling of being scared 👍🏻 also two rides on site the first is a water ride that is very mild and the second ride is more of a thrill 👍🏻
J. B.
It made my wife scream many times, mostly at absolutely nothing... The whole experience was very good though and I would happily go again.
J. A.
The whole thing is a little silly, but it was nice to get out of the wind and rain. Two small rides and small skits that take some participation. Takes a little over an hour to get through.
P. E.
Very good, but wasn't as scary as I thought, was more of a walk between rooms for a history lesson. Although there were scary bits..
F. S.
Absolutely brilliantly done! Scary but fun. Would recommend for kids over 12 though!
J. O.
First time my daughter has been she loved it
S. C.
Great visit with the kids. Lots of walking around into different rooms of the tombs. Small drop ride at the end which gave me a shoock. Good sunday day out down the thames.
A. S.
I spent an 1.5 hours in the London Dungeon. It was educational and fun. I would not recommend it to ladies who are easily frightened.
A. R.
The place is very wonderful and beautiful and attractive and elegant and always have a crowd but more than wonderful and I always come to him every year
مكان رائع جدا وجميل وجذاب وراقي ودائما يوجد به زحام ولكن اكثر من رائع وانا دائما اتي اليه كل عام
Z. H.
Brilliant experience great way to learn the dark history of London. Great actors as u move round the London dungeons experience adding to the atmosphere scary
D. K.
Attended on feb 25th. They really went off on the sweeney Todd bit. Loved it.
l. G.
The best way to have fun with friends or family it was the best !! And so much fun
B.
Excellent but expensive! It takes about an hour to get around, more depending on how long you wait in the internal queues. Once the tour starts it's all fast moving. Too fast at times! They've definitely put some real effort I to the sets and corridors since my last visit 2 years ago, but there's no time to stop and look.
Tours are so close together that at times you can hear the previous show starting a few seconds after your new show has started. This means the actors really just run through their lines and can't put any real emotion I to it.
When time allows though, they're genuinely excellent. The new Jack the Ripper show where you "see" into a room us incredible! That's worth the price of admission on its own.
Except I can't in full faith recommend paying its full price of £30 for an adult! That's far too expensive.
It's well worth visiting if you have a voucher or Merlin Pass though. Then you won't be disappointed!
c. h.
Very good a must to do in London
L. J.
Such a fantastic experience! All of the actors/actresses were so talented and need to be told how amazing they are! Favourite part was the Sweeney Todd and Jack the Ripper…. Never screamed so much in my life. Would recommend this to all- such a laugh with friends! Thank you London Dungeon’s x
R. H.
Thrilling experience. Actors are amazing at what they do and tell the story of London’s history so well. A few jump scares and moments of pitch black darkness (which were however ruined by a man using their watch as a light!). Both rides were great. Lots of children enjoying the experience too.
C. P.
Great experience, more like a walking interactive play. Lots of fun and a little scary!
J. L.
Great tour through the dark side of Londons history , would recommend.
S.
This is the second time we’ve been and it just gets better! We took our 12 & 16 year olds and they loved it too. The actors are fantastic and really funny….and scary. Each room is a different historic event in London (i.e. the plague, Great Fire, Jack the Ripper etc) and it gives a good feel as to what it was like. You might get pulled out of the crowd to take part (I did) but it’s all light hearted and fun! Thanks for a fantastic time….we will be back soon.
B. J.
We had one day to spend at London and we chose to hit up only a few places. The London Dungeon is definitely one of the best places to visit for an incredible insight on the history of London through the gruesome times.
Honestly a must visit!
M. B.
So much fun for the family. Staff were brilliant.
R. L.
Very fun and scary experience. Great live actors and special effects throughout. Really immersive experience
T.
Fun experience, very informative. Love the interactive aspect of it. Had a really great time with my family.
I. L.
Great experience, even educational and lots of fun and goose bumps. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
W. H.
Made our weekend. Was so much fun. Didn't like the leach seats, creepy
F. A.
Brilliant experience, fantastic actors & hilarious!
The only two flaw was the rushing through corridors and the mirror maze. The maze could have been more fun if they released the Visitors in a small group rather than all together as that will make it more as an adventure.
The second flaw was the last ride 1 second ! It could have been more !! Wasn’t fun for only one left ! I was expecting more than 1 at least 3 !!
And yeah their was a boat ride when we reached to the end of the ride the actor started without us ! They should have waited for the hole group to be there
They have a photo booth to take your photos 25£ ( 2 photo albums with 3 photos inside,
a magnet and key chain)
But overall it was a great hour and a half!
It cost us (2 person) = 60£ from the website
When we arrived there we saw that if we took more than a game it would have been much cheaper
L. M.
Such a fun day at the dungeon! Was slightly ruined by the amount of people on phones but the actors didn't let it distract them and they did a fantastic job!!
L. B.
I came here with my friend and it was amazing. I think they have stopped jump scares due to covid but I didn’t know that so I was still on the lookout. The staff were all amazing at acting and we had a good laugh
S. S.
Lovedddd it!!!!
Awesome experience...not going into details as it would spoil the fun. I would definitely recommend it to tourists in London and also to fellow Londoners.
Location: Westminster.....strolling on the bank of Thames after the show is an added bonus ✌
J. W. (.
Absolutely brilliant. I did not expect it to be this good. The acting was absolutely fantastic better then most TV shows these days.
Fully recommend
J. J.
The experience was scary for a 35 year old man - me. Most of the experience is really fun, interesting, very well acted and atmospheric. You will become a part of the experience. I recommend taking part in the whole experience.
M. E.
This has been one of my favourite activity’s while visiting London. All the actors are just so good and if you get picked for anything it’s even more fun..
My sister and I have found ourselves talking about it for the rest of our stay in London so it’s definitely been amazing.
R. J.
Great experience, very engaging and some good history
T.
I personally thought this was a ride attraction I should of researched it more it was a historical 2 hours not my cup of tea but if you’re into all that you’d absolutely love this, few jump scares and the ride at the end was unexpected but great. Be warned it’s the best part of 2 hours, staff here are brilliant too.
S. P.
The London Dungeon is a tourist attraction along London's South Bank, England, which recreates various gory and macabre historical events in a gallows humour style. It uses a mixture of live actors, special effects and rides....
The London Dungeon is a uniquely thrilling attraction that will whisk you way back to the capital's most perilous past. See, hear, feel and (ahem!) smell the chillingly amusing characters of the 'bad old days' as they come to life before you
T. D.
Went with my partner and two teenage sons. All had a great time. Definitely recommend.
H. W.
It is a good experience, the actors are so talented
Having gone before i felt we got rushed though each room, also the water ride wasnt avaliable.
But i guess they are trying to allow as many groups in each day because of covid which i fully understand.
Still a good day out.
M. A. N.
Very nice experience, you live the era of each event. The staff are very friendly and the ones performing are simply AMAZING!
d. r.
It is a fun place to scare the kids. Great place to learn about the dark side of London through time. It is a story telling attraction, the actors are great at telling the story's making you feel like you are there in that time of London.
C. /. L. V.
The best experience they can offer combined with history, walking arround in the building, 2 rides like a gental rollercoaster, theatre experience (very good acters), thriller live experience and a lot of public interaction. Get ready for some water splashing, loud noise and things bumping in the dark, almost 2 hours inside. The entry ticket is a bit pricey (30£/person) but i guarantee it is worth it. No cameras allowed (i was cheeky and took some) at the end you can buy some photos that they take of you.
C. W.
Excellent experience for both children and adults. Not so much an educational experience more fun horrors.
B. L.
By far the best day out I've had in ages! My kids were terrified, the adults were thrilled and we all learnt so much! The actors really make it special - I'd definitely go again.
S. Z.
Every time I am in London I have to go there... The exhibitions change regularly, but they are always interesting.
D. M.
We both enjoy the experience with excellent storytelling and dialogue, history how it was in the day of London. We've told all our friends to visit the dungeon on their visit
z.
Loved it, great theatrics and the overall experience xx
M. A.
There's nothing I like more than being scared lol, loved the dungeons, bought our tickets with our tesco vouchers otherwise its very costly, still great attraction though
S. H.
Absolutely love this place, it never disappoints. I have been here many times with my son and his friends. Last week I took my daughter and her friends and there was plenty of screaming but they thoroughly enjoyed it. The actors and actresses make it that bit more special and the drop dead ride at the end was a big hit.
M. S. (. -. U. -. T. -. T.
Fun place to learn about London's history in an interactive way. Was dark and can be scary for some young children. Had a water ride which lasted a very short time and a ride in the end which was a fun finish. Loads of actors/actresses who played their role well and were enjoying themselves which is good for everyone. Be prepared to be in dark corridors and confined rooms.
B. T.
Amazing way to learn some of the grisly history of London. The clever live adventure into the past was a wicked treat, everyone in my group had something to squeal at with a group size of around 18. We could all see and 'participate' if called on.
As a tourist if you've got time i recommend this treasure, but purchase "Merlin magical pass" gives you 5 set attractions (Shrek, London eye, SEA life aquarium & madam tussades) for £55. Meaning even if you don't see all the attractions in the pass you've saved some money as individually they're a bit 'hey how you going'.
On a side note only because I observed it.
If you take your children in here 1. Dont if under 10 (Think about their age) 2. If they get scared comfort them, don't laugh & push them towards the thing they're crying at. 3. If you also see this, say something to the parent. It's not okay.
N. M.
Had a really good time hear would definitely recommend was a right good laugh recommend a Sunday didn't seem to be as busy got in really quick
L.
It's okay if you're looking for a somewhat comedic and summarised history of England and also have an hour to spare.
L. G.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience, which we nearly missed out on after buying tickets through Headout (don't do that) that they never actually sent. Luckily Sam at the dungeon was able to accommodate us. A big thank you to her and her team for saving a little boy's day
B. O.
Absolutely great. Staff were excellent actors and remained in character. Toilet signs at the beginning were adapted to be more suited to time period which was funny.
J. B.
It's a good tour of old London. Unfortunately on this visit some of the rooms were missing. No advance warning...
L. G.
Absolutely amazing experience!! This is the second time we have visited the dungeons - and second time we have loved it!! It's not as scary as people might think it will be - it's actually very informative and you are given factual history all the way round. The actors are brilliant - totally get into character. Wouldn't recommend young children visit though, (maybe 8 years and over) as most of the tour is dark - which may distress younder children.
A. L.
Fantastic tour throughout the dungeons. Great thrilling and educational experience for the whole family
d.
Very spooky and enjoyable! I loved the actors! They all did an amazing job, it never felt cheesy. All of the effects inside are really well done but I won't spoil it. It was a shame the boat ride was shut but I guess we were pardoned from King James. I didn't know we would have to pay for our punishments with real money! My mum did do witchcraft though so fair enough.
J. p.
It was very nice! Good actors and interesting facts about England
c.
Good acting and pretty funny but also scary. Better than expected
C. R.
Really cool place, learnt lots. Staff stayed in character throughout and my 10 year old enjoyed the experience.
S. C.
Was good except for getting stuck on the boat ride which broke down and having to miss a bit of our tour cause we had to get rescued. Around an hour and 20 mins in total getting round. Enjoyed it though.
C. R.
Very happy with our visit, it was a good amount of scary and humour. Loved that it taught you some history and all the actors were great from start to finish
E. M.
We went there with our class from Germany, and it was awesome. The actors were great, the ambient was incredible and the fact that the actors sometimes even involve the audience makes it one of the best experiences I had in London. I had no trouble understanding the actors, but a few other people did. You shouldn't bring young kids under the age of 10, and even then you should really consider if that's a good idea. I would absolutely do it again, 10/10!
L. V. P.

C. R.
At £10 I would give it 5 stars but £30 for a 1 hour visit is poor value. Just a series of mini presentations with very few scary moments plus a drop ride at the end. Nowhere near as good as it was when it was in Tooley Street. Disappointed.
I. B.
This was the best thing! Storytelling is quite interesting and the two attractions inside where very surprising!
D. S.
Brilliant. We took our children with severe autism through as my son loves 'horror'...it was just the right side of scary! I made it clear of the childrens needs and the actors seemed to pick up on it really well. It was informational and funny as heck, the adults were laughing as much as screaming and the effects were fab!
H. R.
Fantastic exhibition... and brilliantly acted out by some very talented people.
V. M. (. C.
Started off my experience on a low being told by Charlene my ticket was not valid and it clearly was but anyway spoke to another team member I had more luck there after finally being let in I was put though security had our photo taken and then the goodness began we were taken on the story of Jack the ripper and guy fakes
Over all a nice experience
D. B.
The scariness was about the right level and pretty well done. However, I really didn't like how genuinely horrific historic events (Jack the Ripper, The Black Death, etc) are trivialised for entertainment, and was left feeling uncomfortable about bringing my niece there.
H. N.
Great tourist attraction. Definitely keeps you on your toes. Was scary in places.
R.
Great way of learning about the history of London and the two rides just made the experience a little more fun. The actors were very good and interacted with the crowd well.
J. V. G.
Just got back from the scary visit at the London Dungeon. The acts were spot on with a mix of wit humour and horror. The suspense and thrill in each act was beyond anticipation. We went as a school trip of 9 so it was pretty fun for us. The staff was highly courteous and ensured we all had a great time.
Watch out and beware for the murderous Barber and the cunning jack ripper. The drop at the very end was an icing to the cake or i say the bloody meat! Cheers to the good work. Keep it up folks
Jickson & Friends from Abbey Manor College

Good atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff. Takes about 1 hr to go around. Real actors make this a marvelous adventure. Well done on a brief travel through the worse bits on London's history. Oh my wife screamed lol
C. H.
Excellent place if any one get to go you enjoy all that's there brilliant
T. N.
You should buy this ticket in bundle with another one such as the London Eyes. It’s more worthy to buy bundle ticket than one ticket, The second ticket is 50% off.
This place is very fun. No camera or photo during the tour tho.
You will spend around 1hour in this dungeon (I feel like 1hour or more in there). They will take you go different rooms. Each room has different theme and different stories. They always tried to scare us out but it’s he fun scare. Everyone seemed enjoy the show.
G. Q.
Enjoyed our visit today.
Staff are all orrible and great at the same time.
As we were escorted round into every room i was on edge, got caught out when I was least expecting it 🤣🤣
Actors are all fantastic.
Wouldn't recommend for young kids or young teens that are easily upset. (One family had to take their teenage daughter out while a teenage boy was also on the verge)
Hope you all have an orrible day.
K. D.
As ever this amazing attraction never disappoints. Great fun and scares for all ages.
t.
It's not as scary as you'd expect but it's a good way to learn history of London.
A. L.
Good fun with the kids. The rides are a bit lame but the actors really try their best to draw you in. I especially enjoyed Marge Lovett the Pie Lady and the ten bells pub. Not sure why but we missed the Drop dead ride and ended up directly in the Tavern. Maybe someone should have been around to point us in the right direction?
P. F.
The decoration and the actors are really great. But as tourists with good but not fluent English language skills you don´t understand everything. And the homepage sets a quite high expectation regarding spectacular entertainment. I would rate it as only solide good entertainment.
T. M.
Fantastic afternoon, staff were helpful, informative and fun
L. R.
Went with my two teenage daughters and as one of them said, it was scary but good scary! We loved it and would recommend it but younger children might find it too frightening.
J. F.
Great day out had, staff were really helped and suggested things whilst going round with younger children that were a little hesitant

First time visiting London so we visited all the attractions... by FAR this was the BEST place!
Amazing acting, it felt so real, everything was well displayed and it definitely taken me back in history.
Worth the visit and 100% worth the pricing!
D. A. P.
I wouldn't recommend it. I couldn't wait for it to end. Don't get me wrong, it is not bad, it just wasn't to my liking or what I was expecting. From room to room, one actor on each room, some actors better than others. And you can't take pictures.
P. E.
Good day out if you can get 2 for 1 offer. The judge was hilarious
D. M.
Alot of people crowded together in one room or waiting to go in a room alot of people not wearing masks only one actor wore a mask.
A. M.
This is one of my favourite places in the world, and definitely one of the greatest places in London. It's not for the faint of heart, but if you love all things dark and creepy then it's a great way to bring history to life all around you. Even when standing in the queue waiting to go in there's a strong atmosphere, and this continues right through to the gift shop at the end. It's interactive, and groups are not too large. I particularly like the fact that there's usually a theme. I can't wait to go back again!
S.
Great place to visit if you like a bit of a scare and finding out some history of gruesome tales of London many many years ago. The atmosphere was great as you entered to the minute you leave as you walk through dark corridors and go through each room to hear the stories being told and the actors were great. The ride at the end was short and not as scary as we thought but a good addition anyway. Overall, We enjoyed our time at the London Dungeon.
H. k.
Overrated. Too many people packed into a single room and pushed through each area quickly. Hard to have time to enjoy anything and the "scares" are ruined by the crowds of people in front of you. Waste of time and money. A few funny moments and a watered down beer at the end.
I. E.
This was something on my list of the things to visit in London, since other friends already suggested it before, and I have to say it was really fun! Do not expect to go there and have a super scary experience, since it is more educational about the "dark" history of the city in a dramatic way.
The only part that I did not really get-or it felt out of place compared to the rest of the stories (but maybe it was because there were many people in front of me and I couldn't see much) was the part close to the end with the girl in prison.
The final "challenge" was also a ...surprise, but luckily we survived! (oh boy!) The final picture was also hilarious! (You can buy a set of 3 pictures taken in the dungeon for 25 pounds - including download codes, magnet, keyring and printed copies). One download code however didn't work for us, I don't know why :(
J. V.
Some very good jump scares and an eerie atmosphere. A great day out, but a bit pricey if I'm honest. Not quite as scary as the old venue.
A. W.
Great experience
A few shocks and lots of laughs
Both myself and the kids loved it .
M. B.
A great experience for the whole family; thrillingly scary and very informative at the same time.
J. L.
We absolutely loved the London Dungeons! I have to admit.. I was a little hesitant at first that it might be a bit too scary for my little ones, but it was just the right amount of fear to keep them hooked and excited! We sadly don't have any photos, they offered to take one of us as a family at the beginning which we had the opportunity to buy at the end, but other than that we didn't take any pictures. They have live actors that are interesting and informative, as well as great props to get the kids to join in, including burning the witch... which I was unfortunately called to the stage for!
C. D.
WOW amazing day out at the dungeons today. Fun, scary lots of laughter and screaming mostly at the same time. If that’s even possible! Actors are very professional but my favourite was definitely Mrs Lovett on the 12 o’clock slot. Brilliant 5***** I’ll be going back for sure 👍
K.
Enjoyed the whole walk through. Didn't expect it like this but the actors did a great job!
C. D.
Went there for my BDay yesterday.
Had a great time, yes was a bit slow due to covid restrictions in place and one ride was not working, but actors and display were amazing!
Big shout out to the guy doing the doctor, the guy in the prison cage, the shepherd pies girl, and the torture chamber woman, absolutely impeccable performance.
Lasted about 1h and 15 min.
Paid £16 with students discount and worth every penny (£30 full price it's a bit pricey tho...)
R. h.
Amazing loved it, couldn't stop laughing, I was constantly on edge
D. B.
It's more fun than it is scary, but some of the scares are really well thought out. I'd suggest going with a group of friends. Stand behind your friends if you don't want any of the actors to single you out for the sake of a joke.
I appreciate that they've made it enjoyable during covid by ensuring that social distancing is always practiced.
M. A.
Very good& scary&very informative about every historic murder that happened in London. From Jack The Ripper to Sweeney Todd.
L. C.
Lacks the atmosphere of the old London Bridge site, however very well done. Staff stayed in character throughout and my 11 year old enjoyed the experience.
M. V. d. B.
What a wonderful little live action historical experience! The actors really make the tour come alive, making it more interesting and fun. The little rides and interactions on the way through part of London's history make for a great tour.
C. E. B.
Amazing experience was really fun and full of scare jumps the actors were amazing
S. N.
Good fun for all, great experience and scary in places, would recommend and go again one day
S. T. G.
Amazing experience!! Great acting with a plentiful supply of both horror & humour. Coupled with highly effective effects made for a memorable experience.
My thanks to all 😃
S. C.
Had a fun time here lot of walking great history lesson told in an engaging way
h.
Great experience, prices are a bit high but going here is a must, it's so good.
M. P.
Second time of visiting , a little scary for very young children , but i liked it .
S. M.
Took my daughter for the first time, they didn't disappoint on the scare factor! She loved it
J. B.
It's so great to see actors doing what they love again, and what they're good at. Funny, spooky, interesting and factual, I would recommend to anyone. Well worth the price!
T. K.
Very good, the actor's are amazing.
A. K.
Important information for parents who come with toddlers!!!
You can't carry strollers inside the experience and is difficult to carry children through some of the passages. Would recommend those who like surprises in live performances. Maybe not recommend for kids below 5yrs. Those who are pregnant or suffer from serious physical health issues will miss out on the free fall experience.
G. H.
Loved our, had such a good time loads of fun
S. M. H.
I visited at the behest of one of my close friends. While she enjoyed it, I was less enamoured by it. One would presume that there would an atmosphere of fear but instead it was flat. Moving between scenes was tedious and uninteresting. Having broken my wrist less than a week prior, I was unable to go on the "rides" but I'm not too bothered as by the sounds of it I wasn't missing much. The characters did their best but with such an uninterested audience they were unable to maintain any modicum of atmosphere let alone enjoyment. I'm glad I went so I can tick it off my nonexistent list of places to visit before I snuff it. Overall, I think this place would be good for others, however, people with my level of cynicism should steer clear.
B. B.
Amazing place!! Very spooky 😉 certainly heard a few men scream lol . Staff were very good and friendly when not in role. Social distancing was very good and didn't ruin your experience. Amazing overall experience and very educational for kids too 👌
M. N.
Our experience was ruined by the group we were put with. They spent the whole tour messing around, throwing food about, laughing inappropriately, shouting, taking photos etc. The staff were clearly frustrated by them as they broke character several times to ask them to stop. To the point that they didn't seem to care that much about the scenes they were performing. I can't say I blame them. The boat trip was stopped mid ride for about 20 minutes with bright lights on and a deafening recording of 'please stay in your boat', leaving us covering our ears for the entire time. We assume that was also due to the troublesome group. No explanation was given. We were then rushed through the rest of the tour at what seemed like a high speed. At no time did anyone eject the trouble makers or apologise to the rest of us who had our experience ruined. You expect a dungeon tour to be horrific, but not quite in that way.
A.
Great & Funny experience but only 3 stars because both rides were closed and no staff decided to tell us when we entered. Asked member of staff afterwards who told us to contact customer services.
C.
It was a really fun experience with a good bit of London history thrown in for good measure. It is very expensive for what it is. I would rather spend the money on an afternoon at the theatre.
The bar at the end was really good. The actor there was fantastic and it's always nice to grab a drink. Stay away from their sweet cider, it is terrible.
There was also a lingering aroma of pee which made it more realistic. That's me assuming that 1800s London smelled like pee.
J. C.
Went after Covid restrictions were lifted and felt like the whole experience was rushed and parts were missing out went another time before that was really good
M. M.
Was good day out but social distancing in the mirror maze was impossible as everyone going backwards and forwards and literally on top of each other, it would be a shame to get rid but it definitely needs a rethink
G. C.
Fun interesting interactive experience.
With covid restrictions a lot of queuing was in place and you have to stand in markers in each room, which of course is understandable, just takes away the fun a bit.
The actors were fantastic.
L. W.
A fun experience everytime I visit. The actors are just brilliant.
T. E.
Great actors that keep you entertained throughout and worthwhile trip to feel any day out in the big city
M. R.
My 12yo son wanted to go there, but I actually liked it as well.
A. D.
If I lived closer, I'd want season passes! It is a great way to learn about the darker history, a great mix of horror, comedy, and education. I love this museum and can't wait to visit again one day.
A. L.
A good way to spend time in central London especially on a rainy cold day. Great for families.
B. R.
Took me and my girlfriend here. Been a couple of times now with family and friends. I love learning about Londons dark history. Acting has always been bang on point. Good to see the little ride reopened again. Cool place to visit in London.
i. w.
For me it was too long as there are 2 or 3 of the sections which are both unnecessary and a bit boring, especially the mirrored room. The young actors were very good and committed.
L. C.
Lacks the atmosphere of the old London Bridge site, however very well done. Staff stayed in character throughout and my 11 year old enjoyed the experience.
S. S.
Lovedddd it!!!!
Awesome experience...not going into details as it would spoil the fun. I would definitely recommend it to tourists in London and also to fellow Londoners.
Location: Westminster.....strolling on the bank of Thames after the show is an added bonus ✌
s. b.
Great food, lovely ambience. Would definitely go again.
S. S.
This place is great. So funny, great acting, the stories are brilliant
C. D.
Great experience. Highly recommended.
C. M.
This was our first visit to The London Dungeons and it certainly won't be our last! Obviously there were covid-19 restrictions in place but these probably enhanced the experience as the groups were small and everyone had their places to stand. The characters were amazing and the performances were incredibly convincing. A must for anyone visiting the city.
J. S.
Loved it! We had a 10year old with us. She was scared at times but made it thruog alive... Excellent to finish of with a pint!
N. W.
Once past the obligatory initial photo session it got better. There seemed to be a bit of a wait inside before the experience started. But with no information from the staff about what was the hold up.
S. J.
The best dungeon I've been to, it has great atmosphere and two nice little rides!
F. W.
Great entertainment, not cheap but well done.
M. H.
It was great experience!
It is basically an interactive theater that takes the visitors from room to room throughout the dungeon, presenting a different major historical event in every location. We talk about London history. The actors are great and they always choose someone from the crowd to help them with something or just to torture them briefly :)
You Must Understand Good English To Enjoy It.
Unfortunately, pictures are not allowed in there so I do not have any to show you.
C. M.
This was our first visit to The London Dungeons and it certainly won't be our last! Obviously there were covid-19 restrictions in place but these probably enhanced the experience as the groups were small and everyone had their places to …
S. S.
Excellent! A lovely experience, kids enjoyed very much (ages 10 -17) Staff very friendly and welcoming and actors inside really good! I would definitely visit again😃😉
S. P.
The tour was hilarious! Full of silly little surprises and has a small gift shop and bar at the end.
R. R.
Although quite expensive, the atmosphere and acting is brilliant. Sadly the last ride was not working on the day and we did not get informed of this when paying. It's very dark and noisy with some gruesome historic content, so may not be suitable for younger or sensitive children/adults.
M. _. V.
Me and my family absolutely loved it, the jump scared we scary but everyone was also laughing. The costumes and actors made history a lode much fun.
C. “. A.
Amazing!!!!. Worth the price, although I got our ticket from wowcher i still think whatever the actual price truly worth it. We screamed and laughed and jumped; I laughed more though. Absolute must GO. couldn't really take pictures though because we weren't allowed. I am the one that looks dead to the world.
Y. S.
I had never experienced any of the dungeon attractions before, but I was surprised that they created this attraction at this place in London. The experience is one long show with only a single wait at the start of the attraction which I can really appreciate. Some scenes are really nice with some nice effects and some are a bit easy and cheap. The 2 rides in this dungeon are fine: not rides you would pay the entrence for individually but when they are part of the tour they complement each other very nice. The downside is the price: you pay about the same as going to an amusement park where you can visit all day and this is a experience that will take a bit less than 2 hours. There are no real options to exit the tour earlier so you are committing to 90-120 minutes which is can be a problem if you are running late for your London eye reservation like we did.
R. G.
So much fun! The tour lasted about 1 hour 30 minutes with plenty of jumps and thrills along the way. The actors are amazing and just make the experience perfect if your looking for some frightening fun.
You are lead through a series of rooms in almost darkness, each with its own gruesome bit of London history. From stories of the Plague to Sweeny Todd. There are also some terrifying rides!
Tip: try to stay at the front of the group for the best scares and best views of the actor shows (also if you like to be picked out as a volunteer!) ... It can get very snug with all the people.
Not recommended for very young children because of the subject matter and height restrictions on the rides.
N. K.
'Scared the living daylights out of me!' 15 year old daughter :).
Was brilliant, interactive, entertaining, historical, a great experience.
Lots of jump scares, flashing lights etc... Not for the faint of heart!
K.
Wasn't exciting at all as it use to be even my kids didn't enjoy it. 3 stars is only because of MARGE's performance in "Mrs Lovett's Pie Shop"
M. A.
Okay, let me get it straight: If you've seen too many videos (like me!) of the Ellen DeGeneres Show where she lets her staff walk through horror houses of various kinds then let me tell you right away that this is a very different experience. I will not spoil any details in my review but there are a few things that I want to point out since I believe them to be important when you're visiting this place with children or a girlfriend that's pregnant.
The experience itself is about 110 minutes long. You will be walking from room to room where actors will tell you stories or depicting different gory scenes from London's history. You will never be alone in this place, there will always be quite a few people with you.
There are two rides in this place, these are entirely optional. My girlfriend doesn't like roller coasters or basically any rides that involve dropping down somewhere so we skipped them. The staff will tell you when but usually there is a door nearby that brings you to the next room. I have not done them myself as we skipped them but people that exited the ride looked like they had enjoyed themselves (more or less). One of the rides is fairly early in the beginning while the 2nd one comes up at the very end. They do not recommend this ride if you have a heart condition, are pregnant or are having problems with the back.
Most of the rooms will offer a place where you can sit down but space is limited. You may have to stand for extended periods of time during the tour which may or may not be an issue for you.
The actors will sometimes ask you to participate. I fully recommend you do this when it's offered as it's a lot of fun. You don't really have to do a lot, they may ask for your name and where you're from but that's basically it. I really recommend that you try to catch a front seat in each of the rooms as it makes the experience SO MUCH better. Most people will gladly let you take the front row as they don't want to participate in any way but hey, let's face it: You paid 30 pounds for this tour so you may as well want to get the most out of it.
I'm easily scared and didn't find this tour too bad even though I did scream like a little girl a few times. I was even called onto the stage which was a blast (didn't think I would ever write something like that).
Still, I would not recommend visiting this place with children under the age of 12ish.
Final Verdict: Fun experience and I would always do it again! We really enjoyed our time there and will give this another go when we're back in London next year - I believe they change their shows every now and then so there's more to come back to.
If you're looking to get scared a ton then this is may not be the tour for you. If you got any questions about the ride please do not hesitate to reach out. Will answer what I can!
R. W.
Wow what a fun time! I didn't realise it was going to be so interesting and interactive! A few jumpy moment with alot of laughter! Well worth a visit!
A. Y.
I had a great time. entertaining afternoon. very good actors. I recommend it.
M. C.
Really good but a little rushed around. Need to slow it down.
s. s.
I would give it full marks....
One will literally go back few centuries (to 1600s, 1800s). With the unique trills and experiences
C. S.
Absolutely wonderful!!! The actors were just amazing and had me in stitches!! Definitely recommend x
D. P.
One of the best attractions in London, well thought out, informative and entertaining. Well worth the visit.
p. m.
Loved it, really interactive, greats actors and actresses, looked after the little one as well, really quite scary but lots of fun, good value for money
J. s.
One of the best like London attractions. Nice bar/gift shop at the end.
N. B.
A great trip out, we bought a saver ticket for 3 attractions so the price was a bargain, I don't think i would have liked to pay full price for an hours entertainment but saying that it was excellent thrilling entertainment with lots of frights along the way whilst teaching you some of the history of London. Great for tourists.
Z. K.
Great place, come here and learn about the crimes happened in London in past centuries.
P. M.
Best tourist experience in London. Also, an example of how a company should deal with distancing and masks in an enclosed space. Didn't feel uncomfortable whatsoever. Go if you get the chance!
n. l.
Cool experience, involving the history of London. Very well played, organized, handled. I advise not to bring children under 8 years old, as they are about to meet some of the creepiest characters in Londons history. And to hear about some of the least nice torturing methods that were used back then.
A bit of a bummer that you are not allowed to take pictures and if you want, you can buy some pictures of yours for 15-20 £
S. P.
First time ive been to it since its moved location. They have done a brillant job. From the moment you walk in past the main entrance you are in a dark dungeon. Some great suprises along the way which i wont ruin. Highly recommend a visit. Only thing im not sure i agree with was some little kiddies being taken in there that ended up in tears, but each to their own, you know your kids better then anyone else
S. C.
I really reccommend this place for everyone who liked to be a bit scared and would like to know something about dark english history.
The actors are amazing, they made a great scarried atmosphere in every single room.
It definitely worth the visit, is funny, it's scarry it's great experience.
We visited in the morning and we were just a small group.
Social distancing in place who worried about that.
C. A.
Genuinely didn't know what to expect but it was good, I was suitabley afraid the entire time I was there😂 most other people weren't. We went to different rooms and most of them were interesting and you got to engage with the actors. Very entertaining, be aware that you'll be standing up and walking for the majority of the time you're in there. The ride at the end was also fun and scary. You cannot take pictures inside and conveniently located right next to the London Sea Life Aquarium and London Eye
D. C.
Adults will love it for sure.. It is build up such a way that you will get scared at least once during the 90min tour..
R. C.
Needs an update and a refresh. Too much of the lights going out and the actors just staring people down
H. T.
Absolutely amazing experience - if you are interested in the history of England. The performers where the best part of this show/Ride. They keep the whole thing alive and super entertaining.
N. L.
Absolutely loved visiting here. Actors were amazing and made the visit!! Best part of our trip to london
B. T.
Lots of jump scares, great atmosphere! And we went on Friday 13th!! Did learn some stuff too.
T. T.
Take a trip through London's history. This attraction is both educational and fun. Younger visitors may find it scary, but no need to worry because none of the actors will come into actual physical contact with you. You will take a walk through the dungeon visiting various events in London's history. I believe it takes about an hour maybe a bit more to get through the attraction. I had taken this photo before we were told that photography is not allowed in the attraction.
D. G.
Excellent place to visit. Very entertaining, much better than expected
B. T.
Lots of jump scares, great atmosphere! And we went on Friday 13th!! Did learn some stuff too.
K. G.
Good fun. Actors were good.
C. B.
Very good and great acting skills 👏 👌🏻
J. S.
Fantastic family time..going back in history to find out the gory details of the past..was really entertaining.
Well worth a visit.
M. A.
Awesome! Perfect for Halloween! Be warned, there is a section where you may get damp!
S. P.
Great fun! We had a really good time here. The actors were brilliant.
S. J.
Great attraction a little short in my opinion however I think it got shortend due to covid. I recommend going here for a laugh or a jump scare here and there.
S. B.
Amazing walkthrough. Staff are excellent and very good at there jobs....
A. P.
Amazing experience, actors were scary & funny.
L. W.
Great adventure through London's history. The actors that walk you through are engaging and encourage audience participation. We spent a couple of hours there and think that it is great value for the money. You can't take any photos inside but you can buy the souvenir booklet that gives you goory historical facts and even some recipes for old timey cocktails and such.
S. S.
This is a must, not only is it better than expected, social distancing is in place very well. This experience is too good to miss. I'm not going to say what's inside you need to visit, its also a story of the London history. Absolutely amazing
R. D.
Very entertaining and very insitefull, would recommend a visit and kids will love it.
M. C.
Awesome experience , best to check by yourself . Recommend for 100%
T. O.
Had so much fun with my son, the actors/actresses were brilliant. I recommend it.
s. m.
Next to the London eye. Well worth the money. Will definitely go again. Was in there for about three hours . There's an old type pub at the end you have to get a drink . But we did it finishes the visit off
d. d.
It's all about the great performance of the staff.. Well did.
J. S.
Fantastic experience even during restrictions.
All of the actors were exceptional and make it a brilliant visit.Would definitely recommend
D. M.
Incredibly detailed with a scary fun filled atmosphere. The actors bring horrible history to life here....Don't miss
J. G.
Very disappointed and prefer York Dungeons. I personally was bored in there. Not scarey at all.
A. B.
The American company dealing with combination attraction tickets (booked through London dungeons official website), took £140 of our money and decided to book us in on 3 separate dates when we are only in London for 1 date.
After contacting customer support they were refusing to refund us the money and asked me to call up the separate attractions to try and change dates, which after calling, it wasn't possible.
Poor poor service leaving you looking for answers
Edit: after turning up to the attraction the staff were more then accommodating and managed to fit us in on the day. Smiles all around, despite the initial frustration
K. V. d. S.
Very cool tourist attraction - theatrical, educational and entertaining!
E. V.
Really impressed with our experience at the London dungeon. Small group sizes, attentive staff who ensured we kept apart and also made it part of the interactive experience. It was great fun! Kudos to the staff.
D. M.
I really enjoyed my visit, it was better than I expected. Worth a visit.
S. B.
Excellent day out, kids had a fab' time. If yours are easily scared though might want to avoid. Live actors are all wonderful as well.
D. K.
About 111mins long, definitely a must see. I've been to all three Dungeons now; York, Edinburgh and now London. Plus the free drinks at the end of you book online is brilliant.
k. C.
Very interesting tour, a little bit scary. The staff working there is amazing and very profesional.
D. H.
Good experience! Bit scary but nice to learn a bit about London's "history" in an entertaining way recommend. I an sure without covid restrictions would be even more enjoyable!
A. H.
great place to visit. 2 hours round including the pub and shop at the end. the actors and actresses were fantastic
B. L.
Can't feel the 2 rides and 19 live shows. But still worth a try if u never done horror houses before 😁
L. C.
One of the highlights of my visit in London. My favourite would be Mrs. Lovett. Her performance was...(chef's kiss) magnifique! (Salt bae sprinkles salt on the pies). Would definitely come back just because.
C. M.
Ok, so we were scared witless, but that’s the idea isn’t it? My friend Liner and I hadn’t seen each other for years and decided to get together for an overdue reunion and OMG we had the best fun visiting the Dungeons today. It’s so much better than the old attraction I remember years ago where we would look at static gory depictions of past events. Today live actors bring history to life and it was very enjoyable if not a bit too scary for us. Although I am afraid of the dark which didn’t help. Some great memories made today. Bella 😎
v. g.
brilliant story told throughout the tour, jack the ripper and many more. Well done to all the staff who made the whole experience realistic.
S. S.
Extremely good, well worth the money!!
Entertaining and a good history lesson, highly recommended
J. S.
Loved it. 1 hour and half of the history of Londons most dark secrets.
L. B.
Loved it and I'm 50 was really good fun a little bit scary but fun
