Reviews of The Sherlock Holmes Museum
A. A.
It's a small house over 3 floors where Detective Holmes and Dr Watson were to have lived on 221b Baker Street. There is audio played on the 1st floor when the group is allowed to proceed upstairs from waiting outside.
Thereafter you can roam the house at your own pace, reading some of the small info boards around the rooms.
The entry ticket system from the gift shop to then enter the adjacent house is a bit confusing and I'm sure the staff in Police uniform must get frustrated saying this to every tourist enquiring about entering the museum.
T. T.
A good spot for any Sherlock fan. Be aware, this is focused on the Sherlock of the books, please don't go in expecting to see a wax figure of Cumberbatch.
Was it worth it? Sure, as a Sherlock fan. Being close to Regent Park makes it more worthy of a stop along the way.
W. L.
A most delightful location and staff. Beautiful architecture that certainly transports you to a time that has long past but stays near to fans' hearts. Educates on slightly more than the magnanimous Consultant Detective, which was a pleasant surprise. And all for a reasonable price that I would gladly pay again to see once more. I would go so far as to say that even Liam Neeson in his younger years would greatly enjoy visiting again and again.
S. L.
This is an absolutely fantastic place, the actual home of the mythical character. It really brings the stories and characters to life. Absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend you visit here.
When you are finished, go to the Volunteer pub just down the street, fantastic service and so cosy.
E. W.
It was closed by the pandemic precautions in August of 2020. But as a fan of Sherlock Holmes, being there is very exiting and meaningful to me. The location of museum very close to city centre, and you can walk around there. And you will see another popular museum and popular park in London. You must see there, if you visit London in any matter.
I. F.
As mentioned in many previous reviews this is a must see place for all the Sherlock Holmes fans. Indeed, very compact space packed with authentic furniture and accessories from Vintorian era. Great location near transport links. Lovely gift shop was a bonus.
A. H. J.
Staff are really nice. So many cool stuff across 3 floors and a very cute shop downstairs.
M. C.
Friendly staff and a decent gift shop
The museum itself is worth a look for a Sherlock Holmes fan, but is relatively small and not very interactive. A little overpriced at £15 a head.
D.
The Sherlock Holmes Museum is at the fictional detective’s former home, 221B Baker Street. It’s a one-minute walk from Baker Street Tube station and five minutes from Marylebone railway station.Tickets to Sherlock Holmes Museum cost £15 for adults and £10 for children (under 16 years of age). Great place to visit and enjoy the atmosphere here with all family. Very famous spot for all fans out there. Also can buy presents in side.
S. H.
Very interesting visit, not for small children but if you like to know a bit more about the famous sherlock Holmes it is a very good place to start. I will suggest some activities for adults to do during the visit and some souvenirs on the gift show for children. Overall a recommended tourist attraction
K. R.
Cool for Sherlock Holmes fans. First floor is a bit more impressive with an audio guide. The other floors are not as cool with wax figures. Really unusual and quirky, and ultimately a fun little corner of the world

Particularly if you are a fan of Arthur Conan Doyle's books, the Sherlock Holmes Museum on Baker Street is a beautifully crafted experience that will stay with you for a long time! The tour - which takes you up three levels of the 221b appartment - is highly immersive, and it is evident that much care has been put into bringing Conan Doyle's creations very much to life. We loved being swept into Holmes' London and we had a lovely time! I would recommend anyone take the time to look inside - I think it would be a great place to start to your murder mystery walking tour, and nonetheless it was a highlight of our week! Thank you to all the staff at 221b for making the museum what it is. ❤
A. F. (.
For £15 each it was a fairly short tour with not much information or excitement. Bigger fans than me may find this more interesting but I felt it was a bit of a money grab with the large souvenir shop attached.
P. B.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle epic detective character Sherlock Holmes. Frankly speaking Satyajit Ray magnum opus Feluda is my all time favourite. However, this is a must visit for everyone who read, watch or appreciate in any form or manner this investigator personality created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
R. G.
Very nice!!! Gives you the atmosphere of how Sherlock's home would have looked like. The artefacts from "his" time are original and amazing!!!!
C. G.
Popped in here as I had never heard of it and was very nice from outside. Was outstanded when I went inside! Beautiful and luscious interior.
The store was great too with alot of sherlock and London tid bits. So happy to have run into this place along my walk.
Definitely come in if you're in the area! An absolute gem.
If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow me on Google Maps for more reviews

The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a must-visit spot not only for fans of the classic & famous detective Holmes but also for tourists to London.
It’s worth a detour but the price of admission fee & souvenir was a little high and the options were limited. If we were super fans, we might have been disappointed with the exhibition.
P. J. H.
It's was easy enough to find, not too crowded; as they wait you outside, and bring you in, in groups.
The house is decked out with all the modern Victorian decor, including a gunshot wall spelling V. R.
You start off on the first floor, with an audio description of Sherlock Holmes study. After this you are free to wander the next two floors. Look out for the hound of the Baskerville, and the wall of villains.
After finishing in the museum, there is a gift shop next door. Items included are; trinket music boxes, that you wind by hand. Detective puzzles and books/postcards, pens etc to the more expensive teapots / deerstalker hats.
I. A.
Must visit place for All sherlock fans.
I could only mange to visit the shop due to time issue but will visit museum next time. Tickets are around 12£ I believe.
Lots of places to eat around ans Baker street station is on walking distance
E. V.
Highly overrated place from my perspective. They basically put a ton of antiques in a few rooms, put speakers with some stories and that’s pretty much it. I liked the gift shop more than the museum itself.
v.
I absolutely love the place and it is a must see for any Sherlock Holmes fan.
N. L. M.
Despite being a small house, with just a few pieces to show, I really enjoyed the visit. It recreates what Sherlock Holmes home could have been at the *real* 221B in Baker Street. There is also a small souvenir and collectibles shop next to the museum, where you have to purchase the ticket to visit the museum itself, and where you can find something else related to the greatest detective of all time.
m. d.
I went there today 4.1.2022 at about 10 to 1030am and I asked if I could have a look at the museum as I thought I might have to book in advance as I was in London for the day,I went in and was shocked buy the politeness of the gentleman who greeted me and said that I could go and have a look around, for the £15.00
I paid I was again shocked at the small museum it was great fantastic and very relaxed and refreshing
I loved every minute of the museum and noted that one of the photos on the wall was a murderer from my home town of aldershot.
This little museum is great and I highly recommend it
The staff was outstanding 👏
Ò. P.
Nice place for Sherlock Holmes lovers, the store was also nice - prices were high but not in an exaggerated way. However for non-experienced fans the place lacks in explanations and guides, especially for the price of the tickets, which is a little unfortunate.
B. T.
A must visit for any Sherlock fan! Very meticulously put together and the staff were friendly and helpful! Only complaint is that I bought a tote bag and realized later the same day that it had a hole in it!
P. S.
awesome piece of London, would definitely recommend although I feel it's slightly overpriced it is an intriguing place to visit on that side of town
A. B.
History meets the present here. I was kinda nostalgic when i visited this place. As if i was seeing all the characters, story linings. I was amused and liked the museum. Those who love Sherlock, should visit here.
M. S.
A wonderful experience - especially if you’re coming with kids or Sherlock fans. I highly recommend to watch or read the old (or ‘original’) Sherlock to be able to fully enjoy the experience and get a feel of how it was back in the days, as the BBC Series is much more ‘modern’, eg. Sherlock doesn’t use the old scientific experience displayed in the museum; but rather goes to the laboratory.
Overall - I highly recommend it if you ever get to pass by the Baker Street!
T. B.
Quite an interesting museum for a fictional character. Well done, with displays of various literary characters from the novels. I've only seen the adaptations of Sherlock on the TV, but I still found it of interest.
A. T.
A cozy three-story flat filled with period-authentic artifacts, and recreations from A.C.Doyles famous stories. Upper floors are display rooms for mannequin tableaus of famous scenes. The museum is currently encouraging masks, but not requiring them.
G. I. S.
The kid in me is so happyyy. I looove the souvenirs and the books too! The staffs are helpful and approaching. Wish I could buy all the books!!
N. G.
An enjoyable experience. You get to see the three-story flat with artefacts. On the first floor there is a brief audio overview of most notable cases playing. You will then climb up to see Mrs Hudson's and Dr Watson's rooms. It takes about 30 minutes overall to see/experience everything. Hand sanitizers are in place and masks are recommended. At the end you can explore souvenirs in the store.
C. L.
If you are a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, you have to visit here once! The staffs are friendly.
S. P.
Such fun and great attention to detail in the rooms. I enjoyed the upper galleries as well, with characters from some of his most well-known stories.
D. A. M.
For Sherlock fans definitely must visit. Interesting how he was living and the instruments he used in his investigation. The guide is nice and you can ask him many questions. Buy tickets online before visiting. Other places to visit that are just around the corner...Regent's Park and the famous Madame Tussauds Museum. The closest tube station is Baker Street, it's literally 3 minutes walk. His statue can be found right around the corner on Marylebone Road.
S. C.
Nice little museum but the ticket is quite expensive.
A. K.
It was awesome and very worth the visit 😀
C. Y.
Cute and outfitted to make it seem like Sherlock Holmes was real! A great visit.
A. W.
The cost is 15 pounds per ticket. The tour is short but the rooms are set up very much to the stories and are filled with thousands of period pieces from scientific equipment to furniture to just about anything else Sherlock and Watson would have had in the day and the stories. The gift shop is also very large and frankly has fairly fair prices. It was well worth the stop and we got many very cool souvenirs.
I. K.
What an ingenious museum to explore here. Great! You get to know a lot of details about the life of Sherlock and get in touch with many small episodes. Everything very openly visible - but of course you are not allowed to touch it, which is fully ok. But the best thing is that you are free to take pictures. A real highlight of London!
I. C.
This place is really nice for a short visit, you will get 30 mins time to view all the rooms and decors, they will also describe the things, which makes it very helpful to understand. It's well maintained as well and they have very humble staffs. Check ig- indranil_c13 for more photos.
D. P.
Must visit with kids !
Its compact and bit pricy however if you are fan the visit would be worth it.
C. Y.
The tour guide was very nice. Ticket for museum is 15£/person. You can visit three floor in this building. And take a picture with the police in front of the museum. In the photos you can choose the hats from the police man. The Sherlock Holmes gift shop can not take any photos!!! So buy the gift as much as you can🤣
M. K.
A very interesting place. Definitely worth a visit. Very interesting exhibits and scary figures. Great souvenirs. I recommend 👌
J.
Amazing place, if your a fan of Sherlock Holmes you have to go. Nice souvenir shop and friendly staff. The tour is amazing too.
A.
I was so disappointed, because I thought I
would see the apartment for Sherlock TV show, but it wasn’t.
The museum is good and well prepared.
I liked the shop, it has a lot of useful things and souvenirs.
The ticket is pricy(15£ for adults ,10£ for children)compared with the museum(The apartment). I mean, I payed 39£ for madam Tussauds (fast track ticket) it was worth it.
D.
This is an interesting museum. As you know Sherlock Holmes was never existed in reality. It’s just a personage oh Arthur Conan Doyle novels. So the only real thing in this museum is the address 221B, Baker Street. And the house was build and existed already at the times of the novels. It’s costs £15 and I think it’s a bit overpriced for visit few old and small rooms. I spent there not more than 20-25 minutes. They ticket you buy at the gift shop first and it’s a fife queue of people. They let people in by 15 persons every 15 mins. When I bought my ticket there was like 60 persons ahead of me. But I was lucky at that day and since I was alone they let me in almost immediately. For me it was interesting mostly from the point of exploring old Victorian house and how people lived at that times. It worth to visit if you a big fan of Sherlock Holmes or if you saw most of other attractions in London already.
Y. A.
Great historical place with references to the actual Sherlock Holmes. You can see the old cases and detectives that were involved with Sherlock. There are three floors to see all the different event in the life of the detective. There’s a gift to buy some great memorable merchandise. I’m a big fan so coming here was a like a dream come true. Sherlock is the greatest detective of all time.
S. C.
Private museum, over three floors, depicting the living spaces and study of Sherlock Holmes, his close confidant Dr Watson and maid Mrs Hudson. There are guides on all floors happy to take questions. There is a gift shop, which is where you buy entry tickets from. Entry fee for an adult currently is £15. You probably need about 20 minutes at the most to see the place. Good for diehard fans.
M. C.
The museum is pleasant and has all the cute Sherlock Holmes souvenirs that you can purchase. The whole setting gives you the feel of Sherlock's home. The place is closed on the Monday and Tuesday but Google search usually doesn't display that. Besides that, the place is worth a visit for all the Sherlock Holmes fans. It has all the franchise for a Sherlock fanbase.
P. M.
If you show student ID... you'll get entrance ticket at a reduced price.
k. l.
The museum is at the same address as in the novels. The admission ticket is sold in the gift shop next to the museum. The museum makes the rooms in details. The study room is the best and most impressive. According to the staff, there is a long line every day. The morning line is shorter and faster. It took me two hours waiting in the afternoon. Yes, Sherlock Holmes was my childhood hero other than Jesus Christ. The Sherlock Holmes statue is at the exit of Baker Street underground (subway station).
T. B.
Had a great time! 15 people go in at a time. 3 floors to look through and a gift shop. First floor is guided, the rest are yours to explore .£15 per adult. Everyone is in period costumes and there's a proper shop attached with great souvenirs. A deerstalker hat is about £49. You know you'd look good in one.
M. B.
Great experience seeing baker Street and the Sherlock Holmes museum 15 pounds to get in quess the only down side u can only do photos no video but it's quite small as well so dont get get the space anyway to do that with the crowds but other that really happy with my visit there .
S. L.
Although Sherlock is a fictional character, this place will have you doubting that he’s real! I loved it, a tour in the form of a story sort of. So many interesting objects and decorations to see.
The staff were great, friendly, knowledgeable and played their parts well.
Please be aware that this place is not wheelchair accessible and has several flights of stairs.
Tickets are 15 pounds for adults and 10 pounds for people under 16 years.
N. R.
You have to be a fan for loving this museum. It costs £15 per person. I loved to see the inside of the house: it has 3 small floors. One with a bed room and one living room. The second has Watson’s bedroom and on the third floor there are a couple of real size figures of different characters. The staff it’s great and very welcoming. The gift shop is also cool. It’s basically a Victorian house with old utensils from Arthur Conan Doyle’s character.
P. J.
Fascinating place, full of history despite it being a fictional character...well worth a visit if you've loved any incarnation of the famous detective!
J. O.
You can enter the gift shop for free. It's interesting.
M. M.
I wanted to visit this museum for a long time now. It’s such an iconic place! The inside of the museum is very beautiful and so well decorated. However it was quite small and you can’t spend more than one hour. I was just a bit disappointed by how many people they put inside one room at the beginning of the visit. It was hard to move around and not very safe during COVID.
M. A.
Very cool and authentic, the Victorian house is exactly how I pictured it, brilliant to bring kids or anyone who loves the books!
W. H.
An awesome experience with a bit of everything! I'd definitely recommend it for anyone that enjoys the books!
G. R.
(Make sure to buy your tickets in the gift shop before getting in line!) Great experience! There was quite a lineup but they do a fantastic job of only allowing a few people though at a time so it doesn't feel overcrowded and there's ample time to explore and take pictures of the wonderful exhibits. The staff is dressed period authentic and the gift shop has a great selection and is worth exploring on its own!
B. K. (.
Famous place in London. Small shop entrace is free, the museum part need buy ticket. Design is really cool Victorian style.
I. B.
Great place to visit! You can feel atmosphere and all staff showing the story. Definitely recommend.
A.
Must visit for a Sherlock Holmes fan. It has a souvenir shop just next to the museum that has good souvenirs.
R. B.
The museum is located at the legendary address from the books, but fans from the BBC series will be disappointed since this is not the set of the show. The museum is quite small and the entrance fee large. It also closes early so it isn't possible to visit after working hours.
P. T.
The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a privately run museum in London, England, dedicated to the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes. Right now the museum is temporary closed due to covid-19 pandemic.
D. H.
If you are a big Sherlock Holmes fan it is worth the effort to go. It is an attempt at creating what Arthur Conan Doyle describes in his stories. It is pretty good. It is furnished with Victorian antiques but it is small and has Sherlock’s study and bedroom then rooms for Mrs Watson and Dr. Watson. Some rooms have very good wax statues of Holmes and key people from some of the stories. The tour probably takes less than 30 min.
D. G.
What I expected and even more, disappointment is out of the question. A small and picturesque sight, with an incredibly large number of items that transpose the tourist into the beloved world of Sherlock Holmes. Truly devoted and informed fans will be happy to discover the details entailed within, amateurs of the universe will begin to increase their love for it and those who only heard of SH will not be able to stop themselves from emerging into the stories.
A. I.
Cute with lots of options for Sherlock Holmes themed gifts...wish there was more of a history aspect to the museum, though.
A. A.
Take the ticket from gift shop before lining up for the tour. Rooms are small so small groups are allowed at a time. Usual waiting period is 20min to 40min. Staff gives brief of every room and you'll have enough time to take snaps. Gift shop has some really nice things to check. And yeah, take a picture with the guard on the gate. He is really friendly so as the other staff.
S. S.
I visited the museum on a weekday around 5 pm and there was no line to get in, which was great! The wait time was about 10 minutes. Right outside the entrance, they have a Sherlock hat and a pipe that one can use as props to take pics. I thought this was amazing as buying a similar hat inside the museum store is costly.
Once we went in, we got a tour of the floor that has most of the setup and it was narrated well to create the feel of the book/movie/series, however you relate to the character. There are also a couple of floors that are open for people to walk and see at their own pace. I really liked the visit and would recommend going if you are a fan.
G. K.
Small but perfectly formed. You won't be here for too long, but who cares, as you're in Sherlock Holmes' front room!
E. M.
I had a good experience. Eventhough the queue was quite long and it was raining.
It's important to know that you need to buy your ticket from the gift shop before you queue.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and it's quite interesting. There's a lot to see.
I recommend going there whether you know Sherlock Holmes or not.
A. D.
The employees are wonderful!! The shop is so clean and well kept, all of the staff are just very friendly and kind. I had such a wonderful experience. The place is calming and comforting.
T. R.
This was exactly what you'd expect of it. A silly, but fun museum! Nothing too extraordinary but still a good time!
A. K.
It was really great to see around in the museum. But Check the prices on other sites before buying from the museum as they are little cheaper on Amazon or other sites than in the museum.
S. K.
As US fans of Sherlock (the stories and the productions), it was fun to be able to step into this famous address and see how some rooms might have been arranged if the characters were real. The upstairs rooms with scenes from the tales were a bit macabre, but the gift shop was excellent.
J. A.
Loved this place! It started out with a little tour in the beginning where they tell you a bit about the rooms. After that you can roam around freely for some time and look through the house. Ofcourse there are other groups that want to have the tour as well and there is only a limited amount of space, so you do have a time limit of being inside but there is enough time to see everything and take pictures. The queue was long but it was worth the waiting! Very happy to have seen it with my own eyes. Next to the museum is a sherlock Holmes shop which has a lot of very fun and cool stuff! It's also where you buy the tickets for the museum so you have to go in there first before you step into the queue. Another little added bonus is that if you have to wait in line, you can take pictures with the props in front of the door to make it more fun! A really nice thing to do. Thanks!
J. L.
Super cute place. As a huge sherlockian, I appreciated the 221 baker Street attempt, but the place was really small. What was my favourite though is the wax recreation of the scenes from the novels. Definitely take the time to explore and read the captions!
P. U. W.
The Sherlock Holmes Museum opened its iconic front door in 1990, and now attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world making a pilgrimage to the home of their literary hero. We are dedicated to sharing our knowledge, passion and love of Sherlock Holmes with all our visitors.
Y. S.
It is hard to believe Sherlock Holmes never existed in this museum. Highly popular. You can see a queue here half an hour before opening. Everything looks authentic: house, furniture, personal belongings. Baker street adds to this atmosphere. It is privately held museum and it's not included in London Pass. In the main room a lot of people take pictures sitting in a chair and putting on famous hat.
S. W.
Fabulous collection of Victorian artefacts and the audio information was very good. The staff were brilliant! It is a small house though so it does not take a lot of time to look around (hence dropping one star as I would have liked to have seen more about the books). The gift shop is very good as well.
B. R.
Are you a fan of the infamous Sherlock Holmes? Must see this place in London. Walkable from the Baker Street tube/underground station. They also have a souvenir to buy. They charge 15 points for adults to enter the building.
A. A.
A great place for all mystery fans! While small, it is cram-packed with artifacts and authentic decor that takes you back in time. All who visited were captivated. Photos encouraged. Gift shop another highlight not to be missed....being extra money fit you'll want to leave with a trinket or two!
A. V.
Unless you know why you are visiting this place you can skip this one. Strictly for fans of Arthur Conan Doyle. If you have watched the TV series and want to feel a connection it isn't great. There is always a line at the museum so book in advance.
I recommend visiting the store for some fun souvenirs.
M. G.
You just CAN'T STOP looking. Some souvenirs are a bit expensive, but it's fine when it's about quality, because the details are just perfect. You have to pay attention to every single corner...in the very moment you've thought you saw it all, something new and lovely appears before your eyes to surprise you. Amazing place (it worths the long queue!! It's better to go VERY early! Just an advice! 😉)
M. T.
I really enjoyed this but unless you've got a total Sherlock kid they probably won't find it fun. Lots of cool victorian era stuck to look at and the workers dressed in period costumes. Interesting overall and worth the 15 pound entrance fee.
T. N.
You get to see the house up close and even sitting in Sherlock's couch. There was a guide to explain the key parts of the house. The gift shop had lots of items that were relatively reasonably priced.
C. K.
A quirky museum. Don't expect a lengthy tour, it's just 4 floors of a tiny apartment but the detailing and weird manicans of Holmes' adventures sold me. A fun, quick 15 minutes and with the price.
A. P.
lovely experience... one can see the rooms of the great detective and also some of his and Dr. Watson's cases. Unique Sherlock Holmes artifacts ranging from pens to fridge magnets to cufflinks and ties... If you love Sherlock Holmes and need to gift a thing or two ... Visit it.
P. M.
A bit small but indeed interesting if you are an appassionate reader, the museum is basically a reconstruction of a Victorian house with some sparse reference to Sherlock Holmes books.
Pretty interesting the store close to the museum where you can find a lot of material for collectionist, would be nice to include some film material in the museum and more references to how the figure was developed in cinema and series
A. B.
This museum was very fun. All their staff were in periodic costumes and friendly. Only half the rooms are decorated to match the fictional house. The rest have mannequins representing different cases and clients.
The store next to this is definitely worth checking out.
J. M.
It is worth the wait, honestly. The museum is very well made. Many original ancient artifacts. *Spoiler alert* It makes you actually feel that Sherlock Holmes MUST real because all the thought and details to create that place.
D. D.
Being a fan of Sherlock, one will feel the goosebumps while standing in front of 221B.
S. T.
Probably a little over priced because it is small and quick, but it is really cool! Its facinating to see a fully furnished Victorian London town house! Anyone who is the lest bet interested in Sherlock Holmes and Victorian London will love it
R. H.
The actual tour part might benefit from an in person guide rather than a tape, but it's very interesting, the shop is nice too, fans of BBC sherlock should check out Speedys Cafe on North Gower Street, its where they filmed the exterior shots for the 221b in the show, it's not too far away from the museum
J. M.
It's a cool walk through of a Victorian house with some knick knacks that look like they could have been owned by Watson and Sherlock. Would have preferred a bit more detail for us Sherlock nerds. Maybe some memorabilia? More stories? There was a great guide who told some interesting stories about famous murders of the time.
A little pricey but generally worth it. You can also just walk by and take your photo at the door for free.
t.
Eclectic and well maintained miscellany from the detective’s adventures.
L. A.
Nice! I stumbled upon the #sherlockholmesmuseum as I walked past Baker Street after seeing off my new friend, #elizabethlucas @elizabethlucas.
It was cold and chilly as I passed the Beatles store and walked into a group of people on the sidewalk. I stopped to see and was pleasantly surprised to note that these were tourists taking pictures and holding their tickets at the entrance of the museum. So I went into the store and was lucky to get some pictures of my own before I was politely asked to stop!
I look forward to owning a collection of Sherlock Holmes books and curios someday!
R. C.
A perfect spot for Sherlock Holmes lovers. Here you can see the decors exactly as you saw on TV. You can remember some characters from the books and TV shows. The staff is dressed with epoque clothes.
S. C.
The queue for entering the museum is so long and the price it's not the lowest, that's why I didn't entered, but I was in the store. It's a cozy nice place with a lot of Sherlocky items and very Sherlock based. It's a great place for Sherlock fans. It was great to be in the place where Sherlock TV show was filmed.
S. M.
Price too high for such a small “museum”. Good content.
S. D.
It's a dream come true for the followers of the greatest detective ever. The team here has worked very hard in collecting information and artefacts from late 19th century to give this place a very realistic feal. There is also a souvenir shop for you to buy Sherlock Holmes goodies for your collection or gift. Make sure you buy the tickets online or go directly to the ticket counter, as the queue to get in, is very long, it being a prime tourist attraction in London.
F. H.
The items were displayed with thought and detail. There were interesting commentaries in some of the rooms. However, this is a very small museum without much content. It is more of a house viewing experience rather than a museum "here's the bedroom, the living room, the toilet, the study, the second bedroom..." and you are out in 20 minutes.

The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a fun novelty attraction appropriately found at 221b Baker Street in Maryleborne of London. It is a bit pricey to visit but makes a neat stop for fans of the Sherlock Holmes stories, movies and TV series.
In the museum is a 3 floor flat that has been transformed into the world of 19th century Sherlock Holmes, laid out and decorated just as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's describes Sherlock and Dr. Watson's home in the detective novels. You will see all manner of 19th century furnishing, mantelpieces, scientific instruments, pipes, hats and other peculiarities. In this sense, the museum does a nice job of creating the setting for the early period Sherlock Holmes that we know from Doyle novels.
We enjoyed the first floor rooms the best, finding them to be the most interesting, particularly the sitting (living) room. The wax figures from the stories on the top floor seemed more like space fillers and more appropriate for the nearby Madame Tussauds Museum. We would have preferred it if they had decorated these rooms more like the downstairs rooms instead.
The museum can be visited in 15-20 minutes as there are only a handful of rooms to browse and they are quite small. It can feel crowded at times but if you just wait a few moments, people seem to move through the rooms rather quickly, allowing you more space and opportunity to take pictures if you like. There is also good gift shop on the ground floor, which you must enter to purchase your museum tickets.
Overall, we liked the Sherlock Holmes Museum finding it a fun, but somewhat pricey, way to spend 20-30 minutes. In the end, however, the high entry price make this a place more suitable for Sherlock Holmes fans while those, who are simply curious onlookers, might not want to spend the hefty fee for this one.

If you're a Sherlock Holmes fan, you're going to enjoy this place. Tickets are bought in a (very well stocked) gift shop. Take into account 15 or so minutes of waiting in line to enter the museum. Sightseeing in the museum itself takes less than half an hour. You get to see Sherlock's living room, his bedroom, Watson's bedroom, Mrs. Hudson's room, a Victorian bathroom and an exhibition of wax figures representing different Sherlock Holmes stories.
S. S.
If you are a Holmes fan, go here. This is not the real house as such but it still offers you the flavor and absorb the atmosphere. There is always a line to get in. And if you are cricket fan a walk up to the Lord’s is only 15 minutes away.
H. G.
Awesome gift shop. Great customer service, clean, and everyone did a very good job!
S. W.
This is the dream place of real Sherlock Holmes fans. The things which were displayed inside this museum are reminding us the series of Sherlock Holmes stories.
There are nice staff and highly recommended for anyone who loves Sherlock Holmes. 😊
C. B.
Loved it. It was well done, evocative of the period.Plenty of exhibits , links to the books. We enjoyed it.
A. M.
If you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes it is a must! We enjoyed it!
However a couple of recommendations, the line could be long so arrive early or be in your best disposition to wait. The tickets can be bought in the gift shop so make sure you buy them before doing the line.
The museum is small but you can see many of the things that are iconic!
E. V.
Surprisingly small. Even tiny! Fortunately big enough to display most things about my favourite character and his friend.
Don't forget to visit the souvenir shop which is right next door to it.
A. H.
Nice place to visit, if you are interested in Sherlock Holmes stuff.
a. k.
It is a very special place for our family, we love Sherlock. Close to the Madam Tussaud Museum and you can visit both of them in same day.
M. J.
I absolutely love the Sherlock Holmes museum, the staff are friendly and helpful. As you walk through the front door you feel like you have traveled back in time to the Victorian times. The furniture and decor is so beautiful especially to me or anyone else who loves the Victorian times.
C. D.
Absolutely loved the place. Any Sherlock Holmes fan or not should visit and take the time to appreciate the museum. It can be a bit creepy in some rooms, but it's all worth the visit
J. C.
Quite a small museum that definitely brings life to Sherlock Holmes' character. The staff were quite informative and welcoming. 221B was definitely a highlight for a fan such as myself.
You can buy tickets from the gift shop next door. As it is a small space, there are only about 15 spots per session!
S. F.
Must to visit place for all who grew up on Arthur Conan Doyle's stories of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. When you get the Baker Street 221b firstly buy a ticket in the museum's store and then go to the line.
The exposition of the museum is precisely describes the athmospere of the story.
S.
15 mins walk from the Euston station. Most of the time it is crowded its said, but during my visit there was no congestion at all. A must visit for real enthusiasts of Sherlock Holmes. Friendly staff is a massive plus point to this brilliant attraction .
G.
Had a really amazing time. The guides and staff are incredibly nice and very helpful and know a lot of information about Sherlock Holmes and how he and Watson would of lived in the 18-1900s.
As a listed building it is in no way wheelchair accessible! There are many, many stairs and not many chairs to rest upon!
The staff were very helpful and considerate, as queuing was an issue for us, they let us go in without queuing. (the queue was an hour long, I would advise arriving before 9.30 and trying to come on weekday if possible!)
The queue is there for a reason, it is a truly beautiful house and has an amazing history and feel to it, despite the fictional characters!
Ryan and Jamie were really great with what information they knew and chatting about the "Rogues wall" and in particular Emily Dyer, with Jamie and "quietly" discussing victorian politics in comparison to today's with Ryan was great for me, as I'm usually told to shut up!
The gift shop has the most amazing range of gifts and products. Although expensive it is worth putting a bit away to get yourself a beautiful pocket watch, book collection or even a real pipe!
Photos ARE allowed inside so take advantage.
The only reason there is one star removed is because, through no fault of anyone, as a listed building they cannot make it accessible to all.
D. V.
Next to The Beatles Shop in Baker Street you'll find this city treasure. Museum is next to the Sherlock Holmes Shop. There is a man willing to take a photo with you for free, inviting you to buy your museum tickets in a shop. It was worth seeing.
S. O.
Wonderful experience. Interesting for all sorts of reasons, the historical detail is amazing. The staff at the shop and museum were all very helpful and made the experience even more enjoyable
T. g. n. L.
Nice place. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Was dreading the que as I have autism but after speaking to the manager he helped out. Worth a visit. Some of the props could do with fixing up but all round nice visit 👍🏻
C. S.
Loved the museum. Tickets are sold in the gift shop next door. It's quite a small place so groups are let in as the last group leaves. Lots to see including pictures of real criminals that got worked into the Sherlock stories.
It's not a cheap experience as your only in there for approximately 45 mins but it's well worth a look if your a Sherlock fan.
A. H.
Interesting museum. Not that big and some might be disappointed, but I still think it is worth a visit both due to the nice displays and items but also to get more into the history. In addition the staff was very friendly.
A. F.
If you are a fan of the famous character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, visit the 3 levels museum and the shop. You will find the rooms decorated with all possible kind of objects from that age.
L. T.
Did have to wait in queue for a long time but the inside was very interesting, especially "Sherlock and Watson's living room"
Last entrance is around 6pm and did have to wait in queue for about a hour. Your ticket can only be used the day you buy it.
S. V. S.
To many oeople waiting outside.. We just visited the shop.. But it was great. Very friendly.. Prices are moderate. Tickets cost 15pounds for the museum. Shop can be visited for free.
j. g.
Room and things those are used by Sherlock Holmes. A must visit place for Sherlock fans. 15pounds for ticket. There are 3 floors to visit. Only the first one is worth visit (Thats my Personal Opinion).
S. A.
Loved our time there. Staff was friendly and dresses in props only seen in sherlock Holmes movies
S. S.
If you love Sherlock Holmes, this is a must-visit. So much thought has gone into every little detail of 221b Baker Street and it's all exactly as I'd imagined it. Pricey but worth it. And the gift shop ❤
P. B.
This place made my dreams come true, I finally could see objects of my great hero. Every penny is absolutely worth it. But I warn you, if you do not know anything about Sherlock Holmes you may not appreciate it.
The people are friendly
I recommend getting to the museum early
I also recommend arriving by baker street station which is decorated with the silhouette of Sherlock and the exit you will see the statue of Sherlock Holmes.
E. S.
Such a nice, small place. Worth visiting but kinda a felling of non realistic follows you around. Almost always line outside but moves fast, good souvenir shop
H. R.
Quiet expensive £15 each but enjoyed walking round the house set out in original features of the period and lots of references to Sherlock Holmes stories. Something you would only visit once.
M. M.
My wife and I enjoyed it it was well set out on the 3 floors and the shop nextdoor was also well set out I recommend this place
E. S.
I love it. it contains old history and all the artefacts are well preserved. They take really good care of that place. It is a piece of he say that it will remain forever.
S. N.
A nice presentation of the story .
Each corner of the room is have a story to tell.
A must for children.
T. M.
Worth a visit if you're into Sherlock! The legendary 221B.
Start by going into the gift shop to get your ticket. I would suggest going right to the till for your ticket at the back of the shop, walking through the museum, then going back to walk through the gift shop.
I've included a few shots of the museum, but have to say you should check it out for the full experience!
E. D.
Perfect narration and ambient. The staff being dressed in the costumes from that time also contributed to the immersion.
A recomended place for the Sherlock fans. And to those who are not particularly a fan, it's also a recommended place.
O. F.
Must visit here in London, if u r a fan of Sherlock Holmes. They control number of people in Museum to make sure it's not over crowded. Thumbs up
b. b.
for Sherlock Holmes lovers this place is a must-see
M. Q.
A nice place to visit if you have some spare time in London. The museum is small (3 narrow floors) but there are some great genuine artifacts in the home. I would really only recommend this to people who are very big fans of Sherlock though. It costs £15 for the tickets and you buy it in the museum shop next door!
C. B.
This place is heaven for a true Sherlock Holmes fan, u can find everything and anything about him and watson here in this place, there is also a store downstairs where u can find Sherlock Holmes themed things like postcard, fridge magnet, books and manyore fun stuff, if u have plans to visit Madame Tussauds then u can even make your way here also, as it is very close and also at a walkable distance.
A.
Loved it! Great value for price of memorabilia and only £15 for tours. Absolutely great!
s. a.
Not worth the money. They charge £15 per person entry ticket for the museum. It's a dingy place with something similar to Sherlock Holmes house. You can just click the picture of the house from outside. The outside of the house is gorgeous with authentic English brick work and would remind you of 221B baker's street.
B.
It was an enjoyable experience, as it would be for any Sherlock fan. All exhibits apparently come from the era and it's lovely to take a look around the flat. The price is very steep for what it is though. It says guided tour on the ticket. We listened to audio guide in first two rooms and that was it. I think I spent more time in shop next door.
M.
Totally worth the experience for Sherlock Holmes fans! Located at none other than 221B Baker Street, the Sherlock Holmes Museum is full of exhibits, of which there are wax figures and Holmes memorabilia. Definitely one of the top few places to visit during your stay in London!
A. P.
Excellent museum for all sherlock fan's !
I. J. (.
Such great stories and this is a brilliant idea. Bit expensive to get in but otherwise a good place to go
K. S.
Great museum with so many exciting details. And notably, the most wonderful guides! Not for a second did it feel that they're telling the same story every 15 minutes, they really seemed to be interested themselves. :)
Relatively pricey, but that's reasonable. As it was said in the booklet/ ticket, the museum is most interesting if you're a fan of the original Sherlock Holmes world but it has something for everyone, everything's explained well. Even if you don't know one bit about Holmes and Watson, you can admire the huge work that's put into details to recreate an imaginary world.
Take in account that you'll most probably will have to wait in a queue to get in.
K. S.
I am a huge Sherlock nerd and visiting A.C.Doyle's imagination-come-true was a thrilling experience for the 13 year old in me. True to the book and I am definitely coming back :)
T. M.
A charming experience to enjoy a visit to home of the world's most famous detective character. Our 12 and 9 year old enjoyed it too. Pricey for a 3omin experience, but worth it.
S. H.
What an excellent way to spend an hour! And the staff are super friendly and keen to tell you all about it. Watch BBC sherlock before you go, though. That will make it all the more special
D. M.
Mannequins were a horror but everything else was absolutely lovely, would extremely recommend to fans of the books, shows, movies, etc.
N. G.
Loved it so much!!! 😁 huge fan of the books and show. Three floors to the museum, there is a gift shop downstairs next to it where you get your tickets from. Waited do long to go, it was a great experience for me.
L. A. M.
A lot os line to get to the museum! But he building is conserved!!! In the store you can get a piece of what is inside the house! It's a nice experience! Must be seen! Very organized and the is a ambiance that might make you travel to that moment...
L. R.
The iconic location of the famous detective. Unfortunately, with a price tag of £15 (as of 2019) it's hard to recommend it for anyone who is not a die hard fan of the character. The museum is cramped, with only a few rooms to visit. While the items on display are interesting, with the iconic living room being very well arranged, there's far too little for the price. Not only that, but since only a few people can enter at a time, the lines can grow really large, so arriving early is best.
J. D.
There can be quite a wait to get into the museum, which is only small & only limited numbers can access it at any given time. Takes no more than an hour to get around the museum, my son was into Sherlock Holmes etc... so he found it fascinating.
F. J. C. C.
Always wanted to go, lovely staff lovely place
任.
As a fan of Sherlock Holmes, I expected great things of it. Waiting for really long time, after I arrived at 10 am, finally I went into this three-floor house. To be honest, it can't be better cuz it is exactly what Holmes' house like. I just feel a little disappointed for waiting too long but got not so much. The store near the Baker221 is nice. Lots of things and Teddy bears are really cute.
C. L.
A definite must for Sherlock Holmes fans. Tickets need to be purchased in the store first (then line up for entry). No online ticket option as of 21/06/2018. Line-up not too bad before 11:00 AM. Was much longer when I came out. Smaller than I expected. Displays were rich in detail. I would've liked more about Arthur Conan Doyle. Best part was the display of artefacts with quotes from which story they're from. Souvenir store a lot of fun to peruse.
M. R.
Such a great little place to visit. Whether you're a fan of not this place will give you the sense of what it's like to be in those days. Definitely if you're on Baker Street make a stop at this museum.
C. B.
It's fun living out the fanticy of Sherlock Holmes. In his house you can see and touch the props of a long-a-go life style. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They play their rolls with warmth and respect. Not wheelchair accessable because of narrow hallway and stairs. Suggest using public transport.
Y. T.
Lovely small museum!!! Totally worth it and all of the staff is so friendly.
J. M.
My girlfriend absolutely loves this place because she’s a big Sherlock’s fan. To me is a place where you stay for a while in a queue and pay £15 to see a few rooms full of old staff. Is nice but doubtlessly worthy.
S. W.
One of the things in my bucket list crossed!! I enjoy my visit here and soooo many Sherlock Holmes goods to buy in their shop. I bought Sherlock teddy bear there, and it's my favourite teddy bear now!
L. V. P.
“Elementary, my dear Watson.”
The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a privately run museum in London, England, dedicated to the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes. It is the world´s first museum dedicated to the literary character Sherlock Holmes. This is right next to 221b Baker Street where he allegedly lived.
#LVPMoment✔️
S. P.
The great Sherlock. Long wait to get it so prep yourself early in the morning and make sure you get here by 8 so that you can kill the waiting time else you're stuck for a minimum of two hours jus waiting to get in. The bright side though you can stay in as long as you like and cover each and every thing in there!!!
R. S. R.
I love the museum. The experience of being able to know the exact address that is described in all books and films is unbelievable. There are loads of references in the house (mainly from the books), and we can turn real the images we create from reading the stories. However, as it has lots of references, I believe that the people that don't know much of the stories may not enjoy as much.
K.
The museum is good. But the shop is better. There are many interesting things. You won’t pass the way with empty hands 🤣
B. M.
Loved seeing the museum, would of liked more interactive stuff and more learning of sherlock Holmes. But throughly enjoyed
A. B.
Interesting place to visit for sherlock lovers.... The museum is very well decorated... souvenir shops were there to buy things..
S. M.
Not really worth the £15. Just a single apartment with some props set up. You can see everything in 10 minutes.
T. C.
2nd time visiting and always something different to see! Lovely place!
b. c.
I'm a Sherlock Holmes fan, so I loved the place. Yes, its small, but if you are a fan you have to make the pilgrimage to this wonderful museum.
Staff there were lovely, and thanks to Policeman at the front door for haming it up with me as Sherlock.
There's also a cracking gift shop with plenty of Holmes related goodies , I just had to buy a pipe and a deer stalker .
k. k.
221 B bakers Street had been on my bucketlist even before I had a bucketlist. And even after all these years, when I did actually got to visit it, it was completely worth it. Enjoyed a lot 😀
A. A.
If you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes (read all the books saw the movies and remakes) then if you are in London you must see it.
You wount be dissapointed.
The souvenier shop is free to enter but why not spend 15£ to see the museum.
Money well spent. 5 stars i would have given 10 stars if possible. So when in London visit Baker street 221B.
J. E. A. G.
Too expensive just to see a few mannequins. On the opposite side they took great care in small details related to the novels.
A. B.
A wonderful true to sc as lk e and touches of the Victorian Home of Sherlock Holmes. A true fan will thoroughly enjoy it.
P. G.
Great museum for Sherlock‘s fans. Tickets are 15 GBP per adults. Think about the time to stand in the queue to the entrance
s. t.
A detailed look at British literary history, tickets aren't too expensive and it is not too far from a major underground stop.
L. K.
Bit priced for the small museum but definitely worth it if you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes. We couldn't visit gift shop as it closed :( by the time we finished enjoying the museum(we were the last visitors). Visiting during a week day might be better due to less crowd.
N. P.
Beautiful experience. Good depiction of scenes and his true life story. Queues are long so plan to reach ahead.
O. N.
Nicely arranged for an authentic feel. Enjoyed walking through the various rooms imaging some of the stories. Feels cramped when there's a crowd which came and went intermittently when we were there, but still worth the visit.
A. S.
The best example of living period costume I have come across! Absolutely everyone was in character! After giving the introduction, the butler was asked if Sherlock Holmes was real, and he kindly explained that the museum was there to help build the story. Brilliant experience and highly recommend!!
D. D.
Nice thing to do to see Victorian life and artifacts however £60 for two adults and three kids was too steep considering we were done in about twenty minutes
s. h.
Really cute, pretty touristy. The shop has some nice items if you can find them. There is also a tasty coffee shop down the road that's worth the walk.
C.
The museum is really simple and very expensive, but if you area Adam of Sherlock Holmes is a must go.
First you need to buy the tickets on the side store, with a lot of Sherlock gifts. Inside the house you have many historical items, what make you really think if he was real or not.
The "maids" inside the house explain everything about the items.
E. F.
The Museum is very interesting and important to visit: you can see the typical flat/house from the 19th century, England, a lot of information about the famous character from the English literature plus extra information about real criminals who lived in England in the 19th century. The unique combination of the three factors. The staff members wear the outfits typical for the 19th century, England. You can also visit the Sherlock Holmes store to buy some souvenirs. The staff members are very friendly and give a lot of support. After the visit, give yourself a bit of time to visit The Beatles's store next door and the whole area which has some unique atmosphere.
A. M. D.
Quite fun actually! It is nice to see a place that I just imagined before! For Holmes fan is a nice place!
K. B.
If you are a fan of the books, movies, but especially the Benedict Cumberbatch television adaptation - this is the place for you. You get a fun introduction in the study and are then free to roam a house full of memorabilia and pieces from the Victorian era. All in all a fun experience rounded out by an excellent gift shop. Go see it if you are a fan of the one and only detective.
A. A.
Very small museum and too expensive for the brief visit, limited information. Would be beneficial if they had audio aids to make it.more interesting.
A. S.
For Sherlock holmes fans a must visit. The place is built thoughtfully to give life to the fictional detective.
S. H.
Liked the museum. The stuff seamed expensive but it's worth a visit if you're a Sherlock fan! 😀
I. L.
Quite interesting, but you need to be a huge Holmes fan to appreciate it. A bit overpriced for the exhibits.
S. G.
I have long dreamed of getting into this place. A lot of impressions. I recommend everyone to visit. The whole story of Sherlock Holmes in a small room. it’s better to visit once than to hear something.
K. K.
Great place to visit where you can see the famous Sherlock Holmes tools and place where he solve mysteries. For a fan like me don't miss out!
F. Z.
If you are expecting something overly grand, calm down slightly. As the price makes you think its going to be spectacular, its a cool collection of things, split between rooms with more things. You can stay for a while looking at it all, but kind of left me wondering why it was all in the Sherlock Holmes Museum. However it was still fun and it was still on my list. So if your looking for something to kill time and have fun, this is a good choice.
H. J.
Nice place, but prepare to keye. They take 15 People In every 10 minutes, so easily stsnd on line few hours. Quite small, but staff was mainly frienly. 15 pounds each and you stay maybe 20 minutes.
J. N.
Head to Baker Street station then off to the Sherlock Holmes museum. Take a lovely photo wearing the famous hat with a man dressed up like a police officer of sorts. Then have a tour.
Would only recommend if you are a die hard Sherlock Holmes fan, as it's probably not going to interest you otherwise. Found it reasonably enjoyable.
M. S.
Kinda of waste of £15 per person. I Rather would pay that for nicer mesuem. It's takes about 10 mins to walk through and 20 mins in line waiting outside ....
S. J.
Kids will love and enjoy..
Nicely managed with all the fictional artefacts of Mr Holmes...
The shop by museum is bit costlier ..
W. G.
An absolute delight for fans of Sherlock Holmes! First floor is a pub - with a super Old London vibe. Wood, brass, glass all shining and polished. Standard English fare is offered, and served in generous portions to tourists and local business people as well. As beautiful as the pub is, the real treat is waiting upstairs for you.
A room there is on display that matches all descriptions of the Baker Street apt, the denizen of Holmes and his trusty biographer, Dr. Watson. Every detail has apparently been replicated.
I. J.
Interesting place to visit. A lot of work has gone into the presentation. Plenty of history and stories to read with some great exhibits. I would recommend anyone who is slightly interested in Sherlock Homes to go and check it out.
S. P.
If you've watched Sherlock Holmes then you can't skip it. It feels like you're with him and he can arrive anytime. The house is same as it is been shown in movie and series. Damm good.
Location: Baker street tube station and then 5 min walk. Get the ticket and live the historic moments.
E. H.
A great museum about the history behind sherlock holmes history from the books.
The price is - 15£
R. H.
Worth a visit if you are nearby/passing and a Sherlock Holmes fan! Bit overpriced. Takes about 30 mins to look at the shop and the exhibition.
s. k. s.
Cocok bagi yg suka sherlock holmes. Barang2nya yg dpajang usianya lbh dr 100 tahun. It felt like u become the part of the story when u come 😊, the toy at the shop also make you feel like u're a detective.
Д. Л.
Wonderfull opportunitie to find out something new about Sherlock. Great museum for old fans as well. The price is also reasonable.
D. K.
Amazing experience, lovely friendly Staff. Beautiful souvenirs. Love it.
G. S.
Wonderful experience, if a big heavy on the entrance fee. Booking essential.
Z. T.
Generally speaking it's an interesting, small museum, but unfortunately we were not prepared for the long waiting time. Unfortunately it happened in December and so it was an unpleasant experience to wait in front of the building in the cold, windy weather and in the end it even started raining... then we decided that just to look at the shop would be enough for us, but to our surprise the cashier pointed out that there was a sign on the cashier machine saying that they do not offer refund... not sure if it is actually legal... Whilst waiting I observed that there is huge room at the ground floor next to the museum, with a sign next the door saying it's the museum office. As far as i could see it wasn't much occupied, so if they cared about their visitors, I guess they could turn it into a large waiting room. Alternative solution could be to give out numbers and just ask visitors to wait in the comparatively large shop until their time, especially in bad weather if not all times. The museum is mostly interesting, though the last floor is a bit disturbing...I wish I left that out... So I'd give 4 stars to the employees, 3 or 4 stars to the museum, except the top floor that could be a 1 or 2 star experience. Customer service would have 1 star due to lack of information about waiting time and lack of consideration the weather conditions... whilst the shop itself is a five star place.
D. M.
Good museum but fairly expensive. Not as long as I would've liked but its very authentic (as much as it can be)
M. M.
It was a very interesting place. Loved the home and all the period pieces. The home itself and all the furnishings we're inspired the Sherlock Holmes stories.
I. R.
Extreme crowded and the queues are insane!! It worths more to go to the shop and check some stuff rather than spend hours in a queue. Honestly, I think it is more about the series character popularity than the Sherlock Homes (also a fiction) itself.
R. C.
It is expensive for what they show you. There are a couple of explanations and stories, but I expected a more interactive or guided experience. We had to wait outside for about 15 minutes, but not a long queue for a Monday. The shop is nice with good selection of items. The toilet was out of order, unfortunately.
A. T.
I very small museum, but it is just a small house. They have made the best out of it. You may ask every question about live and being of Sherlock Holmes and they answer to their best knwoledge. The guided tour takes a little part of the visit since the cue outside is usually long and they only let in approx. 10 people every 10 min. However you may stay in the house as long as you wish to explore all floors. I agree with previous reviews: the price for such a small museum is too high - check their homepage for current prices. If you chose to go anyhow you have to buy the ticket in the suvenier shop next to the museum before you cue in.
It's an one time experience, not particularly bad but not outstanding. Interesting though and for fans of Sherlock Holmes anyhow a must. Enjoy!
R. D.
Absolutely brilliant. Love love loved it. The guides just made the experience for me and my daughter. Fiction wrapped up with History. A fabulous combination. Worth a visit.
M. B.
We had such fun here! We are both huge Sherlock Holmes fans (books and TV) and made this a 'must see' spot on our trip to London. The tour guides are fun--the house itself is very whimsical, and the shop has plenty of things we wanted to take home. Well worth the $$!
K. L.
A must-go for Sherlock's fans! Very nice place and service inspite of the price a bit high.
D.
Had a brilliant time here with my kids, and really great time walking around 221B! We then had a delicious lunch at Mrs Hudson's cafe. Just wonderful. My daughter is a huge Sherlock fan and had read all of the Doyle's novels.
y. H.
didnt go in,many ppl queue up,i m not big fans
but the souvenir shop is nice enough, staff in custume, very comfortable inside,i believe if u r fans of sherlock muat be excited
p.s. no photo inside souvenir shop
K. C.
The setup is done perfectly as mentioned in books. The building and all the items in it are from 18th century. Well preserved. People are friendly and tells the stories nicely. The gift shop is little expensive.
P. G.
The museum in the Home of the fictional defective, with the rooms in the style of the times, with exhibits showing props from the stoiers, the staff do bring the stories and characters to life, along with wax works of some of the characters.
L. W.
A neat property that contains pieces of the most popular Sherlock stories. You can roam through the house at your own pace so you really get to feel the 1800's type atmosphere.
P.
The line was so long that it took more than an hour to get into the museum. So if you have time constraint please plan accordingly.
A. H.
Really amazing setting! It was also allowed to take pictures and I did a lot! Also the staff is very nice. Would absolutely recommend.

Interesting take on a legend. Cleverly crafted house which replicates the living conditions of a fictional character. Make sure you get all the way to the top of the house to see the most important room.
D. I.
Entry is only with tickets.
it closes around 4 pm.

Short tour. Cool memorabilia’s. Impressive display of Sherlock’s study. I just wish they include a bit more background on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in this museum.
B. I.
Very nice victorian era styled house based on the famous novels of Arthur Conan Doyle, based on the character of Sherlock Holmes.
I recommend a visit if you're not a fan of the character.
s. d.
Cute and informative. If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan then it's a must visit.
S. P.
Finally made my way over to the famous detective's house at Baker Street! Visited his statue first located a couple of hundred metres from the house. You have to buy tickets at the back of the museum which is next to the house. The museum itself is decent with a good collection of items for fans of the detective - books, stuffed toys, caps, posters, key chains, magnets, t-shirts, etc. Staff are friendly.
I did see people queue up outside the house with their tickets though... Expected since the house is not a big place. Needless to say that it's a must see for die hard fans of Mr. Holmes and his sidekick! Personally, the things were too highly priced for me to buy a souvenir. I'll stick to admiring the TV series :)
S. S. K.
Underwhelming and overpriced, but at least you get to say you went right? Course, you can also just take a photo outside....
G. L.
It was interesting to see the rooms and all the things there, but not too much to do there, took me maybe 30 min to check everything. It was still nice for me as a Sherlock fan.
E. T.
Enjoyable museum if you love the books/movies/shows. The only downside is you may very well wait in line longer than you'll be in the museum. You have to wait in line at the gift shop to buy your ticket, then wait in line for entrance. I'd advise to get there early for the shortest queue.
r. r.
It is a fantastical recreation of a victorian style house plus it has callbacks to many of Holmes' cases which fans will apreciate. A must see for a victorian fan and a sherlock fan!
A. J.
Unless you're a big Sherlock Holmes fan and have read most of the original books, you will not be that happy to see the place. I was charged some 15 pounds for the entry and had to wait in the queue for an hour. If you just want a photo with the guard at the door, you don't need to buy the tickets, just ask him.
The nearby shop has some cool Sherlock Holmes goodies. They are costly, but totally worth it. The same shop sells the tickets to the museum too.
F. A.
Interesting done with short introduction but in August until you inside you must wait outside can 30 min.
C. K.
A must for any Sherlock fan. Tickets are reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and all dressed up in period costumes. Seeing all the characters from the stories were fascinating along with various letters and murder weapons. Definitely worth dropping by. There's even a police man that you can take a photo with outside while wearing Sherlock or Dr. Watson's hat
L. S.
If you like Sherlock you must go here. Period. Everything was great! There will be a long queue outside however so bring some water or a hat if you visit on a sunny day, or an uberella if it's going to rain. But the wait was worth it and the giftshop includes items from both the modern BBC show to the original Sherlock Holmes books, so there is something for everyone depending on your favorite adaptation
F. V.
The waiting time could be very long at times and specially annoying when you are in the rain. Other than that I think it is a great visit for a Sherlock Holmes fan even though 15£ is a bit overpriced.
R. C.
Really interesting place with friendly staff. A little on the expensive side to get in with a long line, even on weekday attendance.
P. M. H.
Excellent creation. I felt like those fictions are true stories. Very innovative work. Worth to visit to experience how people can impress others.
J. K.
Not quite as good as some reviews try to make it.
Succinctly, it is a Victorian age crime and mystery theatre with mannequins and some props. A very small room is filled with items described in the short stories, quite a literal translation.
The spaces are very small and they force up groups of 6-8 persons. We had a very poor experience being obstructed from any view by the team they put us with.
The staff are ... sort of friendly. Friendliness 3 out of 5 -ish friendly.
The souvenirs are not good. I recommend the mugs if you're not already full up to your neck with mugs. The watches have a very very poor quality strap.
D. A.
If you are a Holmes can it is a must visit. £15 ticket for about 1/2 hour tour
V. V.
The gift-shop next door was super fancy! The people who were working there, were dressed in victorian clothes, so the atmosphere was very "sherlockian"-alike... You can also purchase merchandise from the Sherlock-serie (the one from BBC). If you want to go to the museum, you have to buy the tickets in the gift-store. I was very glad that I went. Recommendation: Go early in the morning around ten or eleven is perfect, otherwise very crowded! The tickets are 15£, BUT you get a small tour and guide inside the museum will tell you all about the story.
M. S.
Lovely lovely museum! A must see if you love Sherlock! Also the gift shop sells very nice souvenirs.
P. S.
The Sherlock homes museum is near the Baker Street underground station. When you reach there you find the museum at the address 221B Baker street.
This museum has got all the items of Sherlock Holmes and its detective scenes.
Items from magnifying lens, to books, fingerprint research tools and much more.
There are traces of doctor Watson and the landlord lady, I just forgot her name.
V. L.
Nice place, wish the crew told a bit more about surroundings. A very pleasant girl who were in the museum in the evening shift on March 12th.
K. M.
Am a big fan of Sherlock Holmes. The first visit site for our London trip. Price is not so good. Long queue (because inside is so small, have to limited the amount of visitors). After get inside you need just 15-20 mins to finish the visiting. But anyway this is Sherlock Holmes so everything is worth :)
P. S.
Nice for Sherlock fans, but very small and you might not get some references if you didn't read books. Otherwise, good representation of typical victorian house.
G. R.
Great place for all Sherlock Holmes fans.
T. H.
Bought ticket in advance and went early on the way to the test match - perfectly good way to kill half an hour or so and some cool bits in the shop
א. ס.
Very very nice sweet original stuff, quite small. Some surprising objects, books and card games. Checked it out twice. Didn't enter the museum.
V. R.
221B Bakers street..
An address memorised more than our own..
For an ardent Sherlock Holmes lovers, this place is a haven..
The museum showcases all the tools and history Sir Doyle illustrated through his words
You can find each data to minute details.. the guides there (specially I think one Mr. Neil if I am not wrong) he had an awesome knowledge on Sherlock Holmes..
And they have wax statutes of many characters including our beloved Mr Holmes and his archenemy Prof. Moriarty..
An amazing place.. loved it.. bit in costlier side.. but worth it..
A. F.
If you're a superfan you'll love it. It's setup up in a way that makes people question whether Sherlock really was fiction.
t. m.
There are lot of things about Sherlock but this place seems to be inadequate... Still that excitement of visiting Sherlock's home is awesome...
S. P. O.
Dream do came true today.
Had visited to this awesome place.
This is a Very interesting place to visit for S.L. Holmes Lovers.
Staffs are helpful.
You can buy S.L Holmes Collection Book there.
That’s awesome.
Don’t forget to write down your name in Guests’ List
S. J.
Wonderful experience! The gift shop had so many wonderful items.
M. S.
When visiting London, you have to visit the well known Sherlock Holmes museum, well worth the visit, especially if you are a Sherlock Holmes fan.
a. p.
pricey for a small museum, and it was too crowded when we went. too many people were impatient, didnt know enough to wait for their turn to take pics. the visit felt a little rushed and the Sherlock Holmes experience shallow.
s. t. c.
As I did a Facebook Live, I spoke about the fact that I recall Sherlock Holmes' 'home' is located here and you guys gave me the address! We drove over and I got off here. Gosh I was so so excited!!! 221B Baker Street!!!!! Didn't managed to get the complete book as the queue was too long. There is a museum here though.
M. W.
Loved the history. Guides are well informed and very knowledgeable. Museum kept up very nicely.
S. M.
If you like Holmes then this is a must visit
A. P.
Great tour, really interesting, and pleased my daughters who are huge sherlock fans.
M. G.
Really great experience, I would recommend this to any Sherlock Holmes fan!
M. M.
I felt like I went back to that time, when Sherlock Holmes was a famous doctor. Really nice place to have a visit and enjoy that historical house.
P. D.
Great for the fans for the show. Expensive shop. Tickets were also expensive but great content.
S. L.
There are some great photo ops to be had here with deerstalker hats and tobacco pipes and magnifying glasses! The museum is a well preserved victorian house with lots of Sherlock Holmes props and references. However, it would benefit greatly from more explanatory plaques and timed ticket entry so that the visit would feel less rushed and more substantial!
T. V.
Ive been there few times. Very nice, interesting place! Friendly, smily and happy staff. Just love it 😊 Defenetily recommended for Sherlock lovers 😄
J. S.
Made Famous by Sir Arthur Connan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes; 221B Baker Street features a museum and gift shop that diehard fans of Sherlock all over the world wish to visit at least once in their lifetime.
J. B.
It was ok, but noting special on my point of view. But still something you should see to feel the experience.
A. B.
Small place. Very friendly and helpful employees. Very nice and typically British decoration.
L. V.
We loved it. For everyone who read the books, it is must see museum.
N.
Lovely place, the store looks like a small museum. Worth visiting it especially if you’re interested in Sherlock Holmes.
H. M.
Only the address is interesting. Big fan of Sherlock Holmes but the actual Sherlock show was not filmed here. Very long line for the museum to see wax figures which can be better seen in Madame Tussaud.
E. P.
A must-visit place for sherlock holmes lovers and there is a souvenir shop too
c. s.
Always dreamed of going here and everything exceeded my expectations, the staff was nice and knowledgeable about Sherlock lore and history. Truly a place to visit
I. L.
Probably great for a Sherlock / tourist but not for a Londoner...
P. S.
A private museum that shares it's address with fictional sleuth penned by legendary author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Located at 221B Baker Street it is home to various artefacts from that era that visitors may find interesting.
A. M. D.
Baker Street is a street in the Marylebone district of the City of Westminster in London. It is named after builder William Baker, who laid out the street in the 18th century. The street is most famous for its connection to the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, who lived at a fictional 221B Baker Street address on the north of the street. The area was originally high class residential, but now is mainly occupied by commercial premises.

GREAT place for huge fans!!!(12/27/2018)IG: ian.x.liao

Good selection of souvenirs for all kinds of Sherlock Holmes renditions. Even just going into the gift shop is a really cool experience.
R. P.
Loved famous detective place. Decent explaination of place & history by guide. Worth the visit.
L. A.
If you are big fan of Sherlock Holmes, this is the must visit place while you are in London... There's a souvenir store beside the museum
J. R.
Quite expensive, but for fans it is the best, I need to wait probably 10 minutes to entrance
L. C. M. N.
Just amazing to be able to see a place like this. There are so many detail and objects to see. A tour guide give us an introduction and explains about the place.
L. P.
It's one of most fantastic museums, I ever bin in. I love all movies about Sherlock, and I hope every body else will fall in love with this museum as I did.
J. A. R.
Splendid time discovering items around the house where this legend lived! Must visit when in London!
E. j. L.
#셜록 덕후들 추억돋는 장소💞
I just looked around outside and souvenir shop cuz I didn’t have much time 😭 it seems to take a lot of times for coming inside. But souvenir shop was good enough to see:) I’m satisfied 🤓🤓it was so fun to see many things about Sherlock 🕵️♂️
P. L. A. S.
The museum is pretty stuffed, the shop is beside the museum and you may purchase the ticket of the museum there. But it's worth to visit because Mr. Moriarty wax is on the museum awaiting for you!😆
B. B.
Really impressive! Great exhibits and a superb atmosphere. We were amazed at how much there was to see!
P. I.
If you Sherlock Holmes fan, you must visit the museum. You will be definitely pleased!
M.
Great museum! Highly recommended. But be prepared to wait in the line nore than 1 hour on a sunny day.
L. Á.
First time I wisited the SH museum for more than 20 years ago. Last summer I didn´ t, because it was closed, but staff was kind and opened the door and allowed us to look inside and put one stamp to our „travel book“. I like this place, mystique atmosphere, backspace.
T. I. D.
One should definitely see this place at least once! Slightly expensive, at £15 per adult. But the experience is worth it! Awesome staff! Highly recommended!
M. M.
A small, but well run attraction. Really interesting detail and excellent staff make this a great visit for anyone interested in Sherlock Holmes.
A. K.
I went there but the were close because of renovation or something like that, I checked the google and it showed that they are open but after 45 minutes walking They were closed.
M. W.
Fun time but very short for the price tag
e. L.
I visited the shop of Museum. It looks cozy and retrates the times of Sherlock Holmes.
a. g.
You can go inside shop anytime, very nice souvenirs there. For museum visit there is a different time and ticket
L. L.
Interesting place to visit near to Regents Park.... Admission price a little expensive as well as items in the gift shop... By definitely worth a visit...
E. C.
Oh this pub! Its definitely a tourist trap lol but it's kinda fun. We arrived there after a tour, and it was pretty empty. There was nothing that "wowed" us but I'm giving it 4 stars because of our server. We were originally told that we couldnt order food anymore because the kitchen was closing (which was disappointing since we just came from a 4 hour tour), but one server was able to sneak it in and let us order, THANK YOU! I'm sure you got in trouble but it really made our night a lot less stressful, and our trip a little more memorable considering we had no idea where we were.
Overall, the food was filling and the beer was good! The atmosphere is cute, with some sherlock holmes decorations and it wasnt too crowded. :)
L. D.
If you're a Sherlock Holmes fan then this museum should be on your list to visit. 22 Baker Street is an iconic location with tube station closeby, shops and restaurants.
The museum is very busy so expect a wait - but well worth it.
J. M. M. R.
One hour visit. Three floors. The first and the second one are the best. The last floor there is not much to see. You can ask to the guides who are controling the room. Covid measures in place. A good place to visit if you really are a keen on Shetlock Holmes, if not it's simply ok
s. w.
Absolutely brilliant experience...must visit a lot of interesting things. privately-run museum in London, England, dedicated to the famous fictional detective Sherlock homes. It is the world's first museum dedicated to the literary character Sherlock Holmes.
C. B.
I never got over the fact that the tour guides kept insinuating that Sherlock Holmes was a real character.
K. K.
You can see everything related to BBC Sherlock Holmes and that's thrilling
C. L. J.
Loved that place ! For any Sherlock Holmes fan it's a must. Make sure to arrive at opening time to avoid queuing for quite a long time.
L. B.
Very authentic place loved every second especially the guard outside. Makes a great day out for the kids.
D. l.
Worth a visit if in the area. They do put some effort in to everything.
R. S.
Great attraction, or tourist trap: it all.depends on your expectations.
I was expecting just a door and a souvenir shop and that is exactly what I got: a nice door and a nice souvenir shop.
A. K.
If you have spent your childhood hours reading Sherlock Holmes stories then you will be pleased visiting this place :)
B. M.
Nice place to visit. Do not miss the gift shop.
S. L.
Too good...But only if you have read Complete works of Sherlock Holmes..
E. T.
Awesome boutique shop with all the gadgets. Great location and friendly service.
D. K.
Good place with a lot of old and beautiful masterpieces, but It's small - I have been standing in line for a twice more time than I spend in the museum.
E. K.
If you love all things Sherlock you will love this museum.
N. V.
Fantastic! Loved every bit of the place. Great experience.
A. R.
The place has real Victorian antiques and a very realistic recreation of the world of Sherlock Holmes
N. S.
Really interesting place to pass by (not to visit or to enter due to costly ticket for an average-level Sherlock fan) with a very friendly uniformed guide standing by the entrance door, especially for those who require someone to take picture.
N. L.
Small museum. Interesting for fans of the books. Tv show fans may be a little disappointed. No cumberbatch here. It's basically a bunch of scenes from sherlock stories set up throughout his apartment. It's fun to try and identify the stories if you know them. Gift shop has nice sherlock hats
C. M.
Great experience, quite expensive for just 20/30 minutes of your time but I understand they need to keep up with costs
J. J.
Very expensive for this place, but it was very interesting to watch on old home
S. A. D.
One of the best tourist places to visit
R. H.
A small museum. Too bad that nowadays visitor cannot sit on sofa to take pictures.
T. S.
Very much a Victorian museum. Quirky, creaky and quite tight on space.
J. D.
The recreations were cool and felt like you were in the book. Smaller than I expected
G. V.
It's good, old good. No new Sherlock you find, just classic one
T. N.
I really like this museum. I've also read through the books on the cases solved by detective Sherlock Holmes by writer Arthur Conan Doyle. It was really amazing to come here.Even though it's just a museum about a fictional character, I still really like this museum.
J. P.
Lovely staff. Beautiful shop. Very pleasant experience.
C. R.
P. A.
Small and quickly done, but great for fans
T. B.
As a huge fan I enjoyed the museum but at the end of the day it was a little small for the price.
R. F.
Many people are already queued up there. But it still a good and worthy place to go if you are a Sherlock Holme fan.
L. S.
It's cool there but it's expensive - I recommend it to the real core fans
A. I.
Quite small, i was expected more interactive. Videos, art, movies, etc.
C. M.
Interesting for sherlock fans, maybe a little expensive though
P. H.
Excellent for Sherlock Holmes fans and for people who are just film buffs great for seeing what Victorian London was like great for education families and groups
K. M.
Great little museum for avid sherlock fans. Don't know if it would really interest you if you're not one. Doesn't take long to see. There's a shop next door where you can get lots of sherlock merchandise
B. R.
If you like Sherlock you have to visit this place
P. k. C.
I visited Sherlock Holmes museum and felt very happy, because I read books and I visited his museum. Its very interesting to watch the setup of his mysterious cases.
There is store to buy some items with sherlock holmes gustures.
D. K.
It’s cool and very atmospheric but it’s a very very short thing, I think I’ve spent there 30 min tops. For a 15£ it’s not quite worth it.
M. S.
Cute, little Museum. Very dedicated staff with a lot of interesting stories around one of the worlds most famous detective. You tend to forget that he was "just" fictional.
V. A.
Only for Sherlock Holmes fans. You have to purchase tickets at the gift shop next door, then have to queue beside the entrance as only small groups are let in at any one time.
So could be an issue in the main holiday weeks.
Very small building over 3 floors, filled with all manor of memorabilia from the Sherlock era.
Very informative guide, who also answered a number of our questions.
The policeman on duty outside, must be among one of the most photographed in London.
S. E.
A cozy museum but costs way to much to get into
K.
Nice place. Not able to visit inside tho 😭
L. A.
If you enjoy history or even the film's or books, this is the place to go. It's beautiful, filled with fantastic antiques. The staff are very well informed and are happy to answer any questions you may have. The house itself is amazing, all original. Worth having a visit.
C. Y.
There is no question it is cheesy, but it is something you just have to do. Very small, but for a lover of Holmes, I can say I've been there, done it, bought a souvenir.
S. G.
Small museum and souvenir shop, long line up. But not so bad compare to some other touristy places in London.
M. S.
A good way to create an image of Sherlock Holmes house. We see in films being bigger. But we know 221b Barker street doesn't really exist
M. A.
Such a cute found!
G. M.
Perfect it has cheaper price than other gift shops
V. B.
Accurate, fun and interesting small museum for Sherlock's lovers. This Museum has become an institution as it reproduces perfectly all the famous novels of the world's most beloved detective. The gift shop is lovely and you can find fine related memorabilia. The only thing I couldn't appreciate is the big grow of the price compared to few years ago, but I guess it's not their fault but economy struggle...Worthed!
L. A.
Worth paying a visit if you are a fan of the Detective. Otherwise I would say it’s a bit overpriced for just looking at the mock-up of some scenes of the stories and his old living place.
V. H.
A great little museum. Very well presented with some lovely artefacts. Lots of steps, and quite a long wait. You have to get your tickets first from the shop before you join the queue. There's not much room to manoeuvre, hence why only one group allowed in at a time.
A. T.
Quaint little museum interesting 45 minute nosey around plus a visit to the souvenir shop. Put in on your list of places to go see in London.
D. G.
Well worth a visit.
М. Б.
Carefully organised home of the person who never lived in it :) Have a fun!
N. M. F.
I didn't enter in the museum. However, just to go to the famous address is already amazing!
J. G.
The museum was filled with a lot of neat trinkets. All the staff was pleasant. Then we had the tour of the house which was quite an amazing experience. The tour guide was knowledgable and kind as well. They let you take your time while you visit all the rooms. Definitely a neat place to visit.
S. K.
It's a place that anyone who likes sherlock homes must go once in their lives. It's where he simulates how he lives and the tools he uses in his investigation. The guide is nice and you can ask him lots of questions. And a lot of information But must buy tickets online before visiting And now it is closed. Other attractions are close to Regent's Park and the famous Madame Tussauds Museum.The nearest subway station is Baker Street, a short walk away. Standing on the corner of Marylebone Street, his statue is a well-done museum about a man who never existed; -;
The route is easy to get to by the Baker Street subway station, and you will see a statue of Sherlock Holmes facing the station. Turn right onto Baker Street and go straight for 5 minutes and you will see the museum on your left.
I highly recommend this place if you already know sherlock homes It will make you go in and not want to come out of there hahaha.
S. V.
If you're in London and a true Sherlock fan, this is the place you should visit. Just seeing the words "Sherlock Holmes" and "Baker Street" will make you visualize the scenes from the movies.
A. B.
It was a long wait to get in, which isn't the fault of the museum itself. My highest complements to the staff and manager who helped us out. We were a party of five but due to the long, slow wait, two of us had to leave to get somewhere. They have a strict, no refund policy, but they kindly worked with us on a solution. Very grateful, as the two unused tickets were expensive. Thank you again for your kindness!
L. C.
A delicate place, can feel the warm by the warm color and warm staffs there.
But the third floor is a little bit creepy.
T. V.
It was a great experience
A. P.
Who among us,has never read or at least heard to mention the particular way of conducting the investigations of the most famous investigator Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr Watson? It’s certainly not known by everyone, but by yellow lovers,I’m sure it is. As is known to most, this character was simply born from the pen of the famous writer of yellow books Arthur Conan Doyle. It is a house-Museum with the number 239,spread over three floors where,in the writer’s imagination, the investigator Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr Watson lived to rent.Once inside the Museum, the visitor will be able to admire not only all the furnishing of the stylish rooms ,but will be able to admire all the equipment used by Sherlock Holmes in his investigation.
N. M.
Just like he had lived there!
I also enjoyed it’s interior and architecture itself. Some westerners say houses in Japan are very small, but his house IS quite small.
E. W.
The price for the museum is a little bit high tho. Not really worth it.
j. e.
Was very happy that I got to 221b Baker Street.
Just checked out the gift shop and took some photos.
The statue is outside the Baker Street tube station.
M. K.
This museum was not worth £15 each. It was interesting to see but very expensive for what we got. Including time spent in the shop we were only there for 30 minutes. A room to room tour would have been better not just the first floor of rooms.
a. a.
Great time capsul. Becose covid they open only on wendsday and thursday
J. C.
Really nice staff, really cool knick knacks all throughout the mussuem. Cool gadgets and trinkets to get from the gift shop.
Downfalls- pricey as its purely a tourist trap. Shop wisely. The museum is super small. You can do it all in about 30 mins max including browsing the gift shop.
M. M.
If you like sherlock holmes and detective conan you'll love it if not dont go
W. P.
The gift shop is wonderful, books are actually very well priced! The museum is small but fun if you enjoy the books and entry is £15 for a full adult ticket. For those who know little but the name or TV series, I'm not sure how much you'd enjoy the museum, just do the shop and take your picture at the door. All text is in English and Chinese. The tickets are also small guides that come in many languages. The details are lovely and the Victorian authenticity is great.
L. M.
No doubts that 221 Backer Street is one of the famoust places in the world, but to go or not to go is your decision based on your free time and the budget.
S. W.
Ticket is £15. You can cover it within 30minutes to 1 hours time
K. T.
If you want to know more about holmes life you should visit this place!
M. H. W.
A must to visit place for you all Sherlock Holmes big fans. This museum provides a less than 30 minutes tour inside the museum. You can feel the replica of the famous Sherlock's 221B and enjoy the atmosphere of Sherlock rooms. After the tour, you can also enjoy the gift shop. I suggest you to buy the ticket in advance in the gift shop before you trapped in the long queue. However, the tour ticket price was quite expensive (£17 each if I remember correctly), but it's worth to try if you are a Sherlock diehard. Overall, a great place!
C. K. (. L.
Only for a true Sherlock holmes fan. Otherwise don't visit it.
