In one word: amazing! If you go there be sure to follow the guided tour with one of the yeoman of the guard. We had the honour of having Bill leading us around with all of his enthusiasm, humour and wit. Be sure to take the Jack the ripper tour that they organise every evening (ripper yarn tours?) Which starts daily at tower hill underground station at 1840h. These are not only cheaper but way better than the commercial ones. But back to the tower now... you really get the sense of living history combined with all the grandeur of a royal palace. The only downside is the hideous monument on tower green (the coffee table with a glass pillow) 😉

Rumour has it in the past this is where the convict is executed in years gone by. I have to say that I found the information out when I visited the premises as in the tower of London.
