Reviews of Tower Hill
In one word: amazing! If you go there be sure to follow the guided tour with one of the yeoman of the guard. We had the honour of having Bill leading us around with all of his enthusiasm, humour and wit. Be sure to take the Jack the ripper tour that they organise every evening (ripper yarn tours?) Which starts daily at tower hill underground station at 1840h. These are not only cheaper but way better than the commercial ones. But back to the tower now... you really get the sense of living history combined with all the grandeur of a royal palace. The only downside is the hideous monument on tower green (the coffee table with a glass pillow) 😉
Great place .. iconic part of England's history
Very pleasant place. plenty of space in front of the Castle
Worth a visit. Nice atmosphere around there.
Easily Navigated, and for any queries the staff are on hand.
Tower Hill was one of the oldest places in London to be inhabited.
Make sure you take the guided tour.
A bit ho hum do it one time
Very crowded place
History at its finest
Beautiful place.
Its a nice there is restaurant that can have a party with open air
Ok
Lots of history
Wow
In my opinion, the Tower is the most stunning landmark in London. Its history and the secrets it still hides excite the imagination. There is an excellent audio guide here that you should definitely take, even if you are an expert in English history. And don’t even think about leaving the Tower until you’ve explored every corner, so you don’t regret the missed opportunity later. Finally, leave a tour of the collection of historical royal jewels. If you start with it, it will simply blind you. And in the end it’s okay))
The Tower Ravens are both a symbol of the Tower and the “guardians” of the British Monarchy. Here they are fed raw meat and provided with complete comfort. Each raven has its own euphonious name!
A superb visit to London! Fun and historical, the buildings are very well maintained and the guides in funny and captivating costumes. They only speak English but some explanations in the room are also in French. You can also admire the typical costumes of the guards 💂
Tower Hill is made up of several towers and a few buildings, the most important and interesting to visit being The Crown Jewels.
From some towers, there are magnificent views of the Thames and Tower Bridge.
Several restaurants and cafes including Ravens Cafe and almost every tower has its shop. Several doors including Elizabeth II.
Beautiful green lawn, a few hawks...
A visit dotted with stories projected on a screen or told by paintings on the walls; played by actors dressed at the time...
The price is quite expensive but this is understandable by the fact that neither the British crown nor the government participates in the maintenance and work necessary for the preservation of this historic place.
To do absolutely.
Impressive and imposing. Like most places in London, it is very expensive to enter and it is advisable to go with a guide who will tell you a little about the history and how it has evolved and the uses of the site. It is one of the most impressive sites in the city so it is a must-see. Furthermore, like almost everything, it has a metro stop next to it and is very accessible. Entry is prohibited. 28 pounds like everywhere else.
When you take the CityCruises cruise ship to dock, you can see this famous tower hill. If the weather is nice and the clouds are not so dark, it will look less spooky.
I think it is one of the best medieval castles I have ever seen. Everything is very well organized but you have to go calmly to be able to spend the whole morning there. In summer there are group tickets from 2 adults and two children, you can buy them at the ticket office but if you buy online you will pay in euros and you can save some.
It is important to arrive with a guide on your mobile or on paper. Everything is very didactic, perhaps not the most historical but the most educational.
Gorgeous !! With London Bridge in the background. What a monument.
Rumour has it in the past this is where the convict is executed in years gone by.
I have to say that I found the information out when I visited the premises as in the tower of London.
So I have to say that the area is mind blowing, as it being steeped so much in this country's history
Well worth a prolonged visit. In the future.
Medieval City of London from the East 3237 BC A large medieval tower gate that provided the opportunity for excavation was ordered by Approich. portcullis postern, a groove which may have been postern buils the builders were implementing
Historic sites surrounding the Tower of London!
Still very beautiful, adds charm to this city mixed between modern, medieval and the 1920s.
A very interesting castle. It's worth going.
Ticket price - £28

A lot of fun and very interesting for the history buff. Get there early.. it was great to see the Crown Jewels without crowds.
I did take the tour as my time was limited but grabbing a quick bite of food in this area was nice and picturesque
Shame the execution block was shut but still so much to see. You could easily spend a day here alone.
