Reviews of Mount Sion Steam Crane
What an amazing and charismatic piece of industrial history. Love Mountain Biking up and down the canal. So serene and scenic. Fairly easy ride, cobbles wake you up.
There are areas where you may need to traverse the roads to continue on your walk/run/ride. Be careful as they can be busy.
Lots of wildlife like swans, ducks, insects etc...
Take a camera as you will get the opportunity to take some memorable shots.
Hope they can continue to regenerate the canal and get it working again
It's a crane you can not cycle round it or run/walk around it . The tow path is for that. But if you want a real glimpse of the industrial Revolution. This gradeII
Marvel, adjoining mill and dock .. Great
This is a relic from the past alongside the canal. It is free and local children climb all over it. It will never work again but has been painted to protect it and keep it relatively safe.
