Reviews of Concrete Cows
J. N.
These were some of the dumbest looking, vaguely animal shaped things I could hope to experience. It was transcendental. Will bring my whole family next time.
T. O.
The iconic Concrete Cows of Milton Keynes!
They are actually hard to get to as there is no parking nearby.
They are a bit odd looking up close, but worth seeing them if you are in the area.
A. A.
Serene and beautiful park. The kids were thrilled to see the cows.
P. M.
The cows are really cute and very friendly. The milk is a little on the loamy side but if you mix it with sand and water, it makes for a tasty beverage.
R. W.
Difficult to get to as paths muddy and no tarmac, but worth seeing. Iconic for MK.
E. P.
Great if you know the area and where to park. And after 40 years of weather and vandalism you have to ignore the fact that they don't really look like cows anymore!
N. K.
30 years have taken there toll, a small price to pay for public access.
C. M.
Granddaughter loved them.
T. H.
The slightly unusual atmosphere is rather amusing, if you are in MK coming here and seeing the statues may be worth it. It is not very accessible though, in terms of parking and uneven terrain in some areas. A rather nice place for dog walkers, but "historical landmark"? XDDD
Y. N.
Nice weather for walk. Enjoyed exploring the place
A. L.
Not easily accessible unless on foot or bike. Worth a look just to say you have seen them, especially if you are a fan of Charles Stross's 'Laundry Files' series, and know who Bob is 😄 though #cstross took some artistic licence with the area (for the better!)
K. H.
Fantastic! Good bit of fun.
S. B.
It's the Milton Keynes Concrete Cows, what is not to like. Good photo opportunity and located in some pleasant green space, (thanks to the Parks Trust) great for the kids and dogs, plenty of space to run and explore. Close walking distance from Bradwell Village and The Victoria Inn, and the Prince Albert pub.
P. F.
Cool to visit these cows, very strange things though. They seem to be well looked after and are in good condition. Worth a visit while walking through the green spaces of the area but don't go out of your way for them. Unless you are a concrete sculpture enthusiast :p
G. W.
Nice little park for dog walking. Make sure to follow the path all the way to the main road to see the concrete cows. Also, take some time to check out the villa ruins and the various bridges over the stream.
L. G.
Great little local attraction.
S. F.
Strange bit of art in a nice park.
R. B.
Bit of fun and quite iconic in their way.
R. R.
The concrete cows are an amusing Milton Keynes odidty, well worth a peruse if you are near by. Access is a bit poor, it would not be easy for wheel chair users or prams to get right up to them. They would have been better situated on the other side of the stream next to the footpath.
K. O.
Lovely place for a walk! Please go under the bridge though and stay away from the road!
D. H.
Strange Cows. My son liked them though!
C. H.
Milton Keynes is unfairly mostly famous for roundabouts and these cows. They are hardly great sculpture and have been badly vandalised over the years, but they are generally loved by the residents. Well worth a visit on a nice day, perhaps for a selfie with them, or a shot of the kids riding cow back.
They are at the south end of Bancroft Park. If you head to the Northern end you will find an interesting Roman archeological site. The car park near there is actually a good place to park for the cows if you want to make a nice walk of it, passing the roman site on the way.
S. B.
Cute piece of art to view in a random location
D. K.
It's a cow. It's concrete. An MK must see.
