Reviews of RNLI Grace Darling Museum

Grace Darling was a true hero and this is reflected within the museum, you will learn all you need to know about where she lived and all the events leading up to heroism. Across from the museum is where she is buried.

Love this museum, visit every time we're in Bamburgh. Informative and interesting, each time there's something new added to the exhibit. Free to enter, donation given if you wish. Easy access for all. Also Grace Darling's grave is in cemetery directly opposite. Well worth taking the time to visit, and support the RNLI.

Tells the story of this brave lady who helped rescue people being shipwrecked on the Farne Islands.
She buried in St Aidans Church opposite the museum, where there are also two memorials to her, one outside, and the original in the church itself.

Really good. We learned lots about how a lighthouse keeper's family lived, apart from about the rescue itself.

Very interesting and well laid our displays with audio and video presentations of this historical story. The RNLI has modernised the place and included fun things for children.
Free entry.

Great free museum 😁
Very, very interesting story of a true hero.
The information is very well presented and some interactive sections to keep kids and adults alike entertained
The boat used is also on display and this item alone really captures you're imagination and attention

Brought back memories from school for my partner as he learnt about Grace back in the day, hence his interest in visiting in the first place. Found it very informative, well laid out and presented facts and artefacts.

Really educational and well laid out on the two floors. The panoramic view room has a Grace Darling short potted history film show which is enscapulating. Great for kids with lots of hands on , deffo keeps them interested. Support the RNLI by buying from the shop, they are volunteers after all. We'll worth a visit and it's FREE!
