This place was good fun to spend a few hours on holiday. Most layouts were pretty decent and had a good amount of detail especially the Japanese layout which had some very good details and fab trains. The penny arcade was good fun too. There was a decent amount of interactive stuff but a little more would be nice. The only down side was there seemed to be some what a lack of detail and station details on the larger British layout. Don't know whether this was due to it being a new feature but it was quite bare. Overall it was a good place to visit and I would probably recommend to anyone thinking about coming although the admissions were a little on the pricey side but it was worth it.

Fab little place. Staff were friendly and helpful and the exhibitions really interesting. We loved the old toy section and the old fashioned arcade. You could spend a long time just taking it all in and spotting new tiny details. A lot of thought and time has gone into each "world".

Wonderful little find, lots of layout to look at and a fun lego section in the middle. The little playarea with the brio trians was a nice touch to keep the younger one entertained.
Good price for admissions,

Superb and so much fun.
This is not huge yet the variety of things to do and see was just brilliant.
We flew planes drove trains, played on retro arcade games and loved the different model sets.
I took 2 kids aged 6 and 11 who both loved it and myself who also loved every minute.
Sadly all photos were of my kids so unable to post but worth a visit. Will visit again.

For lack of a better word... this place was Bob. Such a disappointing experience, many of the exhibits weren't working and lacked any detail just vehcikes and tracks with little scenery or thought that had gone into them.
It's a safe bet for a rainy day if you have little ones but for adults I wouldn't waste your time. We struggled to make it last for 2 hrs.
There was an old arcade but most of these didn't work properly and just stole your money...
It was grossly overpriced for what was there even with the £1 discount on the website.

Loved this place, has so much to see and do.
A lovely cafe too. So pleased we went.

If you like model railways this is the place for you. As well as different layouts there are toy displays, penny in the slot machines, etc. Again a good family outing although probably just for half a day.

Really good afternoon out. Our 7yr son has always been a train enthusiast and this reaffirmed it today. He could have spent hours standing in front of the displays watching the trains go round. And it felt like you were always seeing a new train here and there, as one appears out of a tunnel or comes round a mountain.
Everywhere was really clean and hygiene standards were very thorough. Staff were cleaning exhibits and the high touch points all through the day. Sanitation sprays are all around the exhibit so you are frequently able to use hand gels to top up.
There's a Thomas brio wooden train track available for the little kids to get "hands on".
If you love Hornby and model railways this is definitely for you.
Also really liked the Lego exhibition in there too, all the Harry Potter sets all set up and others such as Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars sets galore inc. The Death Star, Millennium Falcons, tie fighters, tons of Lego city setups, Marvel Hero's and Villains, it was really impressive!!!
There was only 1 downfall and that was the cafe and the admission kiosk were one in the same with just 1 person on duty (understandable because we are still in the off season, so hopefully once it's high season there will be at least 2 staff), but today it was the person making coffees for the coffee shop, was also the person who had to take the admission fees for people wanting to enter. So had a slight wait in that regards.
But other than that, it was superb. Would recommend for families with kids up to around 10yrs.
I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10 rating. 😊
