Reviews of Goose Fair
R. Z.
It was my first time at the event, I really recommend it! The chosen location super met my expectations. Organized parking but a little expensive £10. Regarding the food, there was a lot of variety, for all audiences, I was also surprised by the variety. There were attractions for all ages and for all tastes. And best of all the weather was pleasant. I highly recommend leisure for the whole family.
施.
Best trip so far in nottingham, I went there twice, it was 10/10! Storm and gravity were rides I haven't tried before, amazing experience!
T. K.
Loved loved the whole experience of being here! Haven't seen so many people or rides and yum food in one place in Nottingham all at once. It was such a vibeeee! The rides and games are so cool and so many prizes and things you can winnnnn (even if you're a bad player and loose lol). There's something here for everyone! Totally recommend going and having a blast! 😇💕

I found myself so scared at the frightening haunted house.
The arcade was very amusing. Both my friends and I felt entertained .
S. T.
A massive, energetic fair!! This place is well worth a visit, there are load of rides, games, and food stalls. Some rides are great value for money as they are great fun and last ages. However, some rides are up to £8 and only last about one and a half minutes. I always go to a fair expecting ro pay more than usual for rides/food but that felt a bit steep. (All the rides I went on ranged in proce from £3.50-£8)
Nevertheless this is a great trip out with friends. The music is VERY loud so it can be hard to chat at times and as it's a fair the bathrooms aren't great but I still had a really good time.
It's so bright and energetic, a really fun enviroment and trip out :)
S. L.
Amazing rides, games and entertainments
Good for kids and all
C. I.
Wonderful experience.
Rides are affordable and fun.
Best enjoyed with friends.

World famous Goose Fair in Nottingham went back to the Forest Recreation Ground as a special ten-day event for the first time. from Friday 30 September to Sunday 9 October. With over 250 rides and attractions with thrills aplenty for all ages, the fair is one of the largest travelling fun fairs in Europe. New rides to Goose Fair include the ‘Void Extreme’ as well as lots of returning favourites such as ‘Ice Jet Matterhorn,’ ‘Star Flyer’ and two ‘Giant wheels’ giving panoramic views across the fair and the city beyond.

Had a really good time the kids loved it but I wouldn't buy from the stalls outside the ones selling the flashing wands etc. I paid £10 a wand I bought 3 so I thought that was really expensive I'm a women alone with my 3 children I think they prey on the single women and older people doubt they would of charged that if I was with my husband. Wish the council would do something about these people ripping people off. Save your money and buy from somewhere else
S. F.
Famous funfair with great transport connections across the city. The 2nd biggest funfair in the UK (behind Hull Fair), & 1 of the oldest and most historic...
Plenty of rides and attractions, for all ages... From kiddie rides to white knuckle rides... Has some rare rides, too, like Atmosfear and the almost legendary Ice Jet Matterhorn...
J. S. C.
Although it states FREE PARKING, when I drove from Mansfield as a Blue Badge holder, they wanted to charge £7 (Seven Pounds). As a Disabled Pensioner, I can't justify £7 to park my car for an hour or two. Maybe I'm wrong, but the Disabled Parking was quite remote, I supected that the guy was trying to rip-off people and put the money in his own pocked.
M. A.
It's been on for a good 10 days now!! From the 30th September! Til the 9th October! 9th October is ya last day ever! Until 2023 of course.
All free entry n the best option is to park for free at hucknall tram carpark n go from there!
The tram pulls up bang outside the goose fair gates! 😉👍..... Be warned....all the rides are very expensive! £4 each on the dodgems ... But apart from that...... Fantastic to see all back in action!! If u go ull have an action packed day out!! 😉👍(October 2022)

Q.

I. M.
Have been a life long fan. Always love the rides, food and atmosphere. Good for all generations.
E. N.
Lots of food outlets and rides after two years lockdown and the goose fair was cancelled I was looking forward too the return of this historical advent but now IAM feeling really sad the ride's are outrageous even children's ride's are priced way too high and the price of a pot of pea's are disgusting £3:00 pounds and the pork cob will cost you £6:00 pounds and the grown up ride's cost between £3:50 £4:00 pounds IAM sorry too say this but it's not all the fun at the fair more like day light robbery sorry.three star's 🤔
I. W.
Bit expensive but lots of food and games available. Any pints bought had to be kept in a specific area, so it was difficult to have a pint and food at the same time. Surprisingly large fair with a lot going on! Would go back
t. n.
my favourite place to go I love this fair just like my dad did r.i.p daddy ..... I have gone to this fair evry year of my life.....so much to see and do.... sugar dummys galore amazing rides and a great atmosphere ❤❤❤
d. s.
Loved the fair since I was a kid, went twice this year, don't go on anything but it is the atmosphere, and had to have a toffee apple or two lol.
m. g.
What an absolutely banging travelling fair this is.
If you love the fun of the fair and it's rides, then this is for you and you will really love it.
Its over 700 years old, it's one of the biggest and one of the best in Europe, plus with the easing of the Covid restrictions it's open again from the 6th untill the 10th of October 2021.
If you get the chance to visit it's a must, it really is.
Ace, fully recommend and the Super bowl ride is awesome 😁👍
M. S.
Having visited since a little girl it is great to be able to now take my children. Amazing atmosphere, great selection of rides, food, games etc. Bit pricey but great fun.
M. M.
Way too expensive rides and food. No variety of food and seeing the same mushy peas and chips everywhere was not appetizing.
M. K.
Had an amazing date there with my fiancé, we both enjoyed it and what a spectacular view we had from the top of the ferris wheel! Cant wait the next one!
M. A.
So much fun 🥰
P. F.
Visit at night and you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere here at night is electric with different colours and sounds coming from all directions. For thrill seekers like myself you will find most renditions of flat rides available in the country coming together to create a temporary amusement park for the public. Various versions of each ride can be found from Miami's to wild mouses they really did have it all. We really liked the variety of unique rides and flavours of the food available at many of the food stands. For first timers we recommend going at dusk to enjoy it in daylight and at night when the event becomes like a festival, for families if possible a weekday evening when the crowds are lower. You don't need to take out a second mortgage as everything is reasonable priced, most rides in 2019 where priced between £3-6 with the slingshot being the most expensive at £15 but you come to expect that. Weekends suffer from heavy levels of crowds at some points you might find yourself not moving but with everything going on around you and so much to look at we didn't mind. My best tip for travel I can give you is take the park and ride they offer tickets at £5 for up to four people return. Good luck and have fun!
S. J.
It's good in the day with kids at night the teens come out so if you have kids go in the day
S. h.
Fantastic, we visit every year
M. L.
Fantastic, had so much fun.
M. P.
Weather held nice on Wednesday, with plenty of rides to choose. Shame the money grabbing council has chosen to charge for access to the discount tickets.. You have to pay £1.50 for the sheet, to get 50p off 50 rides.. As always one rule for the rich.. You would need to spend £12 to recover your £1.50 investment with rides at £3.50.. WAIT TILL FRIDAY & SATURDAY PEAK.... 😉
J. M.
Amazing place for family fun but expect to. Spend 80pound
S. J.
Amazing night out with family plenty to ride and do x
b. d.
Brilliant experience and lots of fun had by all the family.
S.
It's the biggest fair in the Europe held every year for a week from start of October.
C. k.
The travelling fair arrives at Nottingham packed with history, lore and fun for all the family.,,,
The event that has run for hundreds of years, Takes place in 1st week of October of every year in forst recreation ground in Nottingham.
Very well suited place for families, children, teens and specially for university's students,,
You will find a variety of rides and stalls,,, .Don't forget to bring your umbrella along as it can rain anytime.plan your visit properly try not to drive your car always parking problem in that area and traffic jams,,, !!!!! use trams or Nottingham city council buses are very convenient to take you front of entrance.,, Easily accessible by tram but not so much by car,, .There is no entry ticket. Tickets are only needed for rides, which will cost between £3 to £5, Some of the rides are really thrilling and some are just for children. Food stalls are well organized and hygiene. Hot and fresh churoos with hot chocolate is all you need,,,, .it hosts a variety of fairground rides and stalls including world food options.,,, It can get pretty busy and you'd best keep personal belongings close at hand, but going at night gives you an amazing view!!!! Nice fair to visit with family.
Many thanks for Nottingham police doing great work.,,
A. K.
I went here for the annual bonfire. This place is big. Its got two football courts and a large ground. During fairs there is also facility of toilets
S. R.
Great experience 😌🥳🥳
J. C.
Been really busy but can be fun for the hole family
D. M.
We were lucky enough to be in the area when the annual goose fair was on. The fair is has been running for over 700 years. The visiting fun fair is one of the largest in europe and there was a great selection of rides to choose from. There was a large variety of food stalls and a few selling the traditional mushy peas which if course you have to try when you are here. The only slight let down was even though the fair was so large there was a lot of repeated rides. I guess the pkus side of that was there was little to no queues on them.
V. K.
Amazing rides such a great time :D
L. L. (.
The travelling fair arrives at Nottingham packed with history, lore and fun for all the family. The event that has run for hundreds of years, only cancelled for the bubonic plague and both world wars, has finally found it's place in Forest Recreation Ground. Easily accessible by tram but not so much by car, it hosts a variety of fairground rides and stalls including world food options. Be warned, it can get pretty busy and you'd best keep personal belongings close at hand, but going at night gives you an amazing view!
R. J. S.
Fun but the food is overpriced. Either eat before you go or after.
A. H.
Goose fair : nothing like I've ever been to before , it was massive , it's Europe's largest moving fair.
It was held in the forest grounds not far away from the city centre, easily accessible by tram. Lots of attraction for kids and adults alike.
I read online that they had reverse bungee and reverse bungee was always on my bucket list and I had to strike it off, so I thought to myself this is where I would get it done.
I entered and and made my way to reverse bungee , it cost me 12.50£ and can only be done with a pair, I must say it was thrilling to have done this at the fair and i was filled with adrenaline post ride.
I was done with my quota of adrenaline release and none of the rides captured my interest, there was quite a scary ride called the Airmaxx, i would have tried that if it wasn't for reverse bungee.
Later on me and my friends moved on to the food stalls setup on one side, anyone visiting the fair should try the mushy peas and fries, that's what we started off as an appetizer.
There were only two places that served (halal) options on the fair, and both of them were offering kebabs and wraps. Kebab king was a bit pricey and they offered Samosas. The other palace although I do not remember the name, had good options and reasonable price. I got me self a triple lamb sheesh wrap , which was orgasmic to my taste buds , succulent meat and juicy sauce.
My friend introduced me to churros served by Deli churros, they were unbelievable, fresh fried and infused with molten chocolate oozing out with every bite.
I returned back on the final day of the fair , to find out that reverse bungee rates were hiked to 15£. I didn't like that! , But ended up having the kebab and the churros again for dinner.
Other amazing Non halal option available for my friends :
Deer meat
Pulled pork
BBQ stations
Wood fire Pizzas.
Donuts and cookies and candies.

2019 the best yet 👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩
I. C.
I love goose fair and soaking up the atmosphere. Only criticism is the price of most attractions, it feels like they get more expensive every year!
R. V.
Wonderful event. Lot of activities and food.
C. W.
I always enjoy the goose fair and was glad its back
J. A.
Went to the Thai festival that was held here.
A nice place to visit.
T. o. g. _.
Such a big and fun fair, definitely worth the visit, however make sure you have change and a lot of it as some of the rides are very expensive (ranging from £3.50 to £7/£8) but it is definitely somewhere everyone should go at least once, it has such a great atmosphere
J. M.
Always fun and great food
s. p.
Great place as always all fun for the family highly recommended because it on comes once a year
r. s.
All the fun in one place

It was okay, although some of the rides were a little samey, and we're a tad expensive. It could make a good day out with friends however, and definitely make sure to get some 50p off per ride vouchers

P. A.
Love the atmosphere lots of great rides and a great choice of foods from around the world and if you fancy it you can have your palm read as well. What's not to like👍
L. G.
Just go and have fun.. Many games you can play and the most important the food is there at every step😅
A. S.
It's a yearly thing and I always go. The stalls are getting polished and looking very posh. Some even spectacular. However the rides are very expensive and they never seem to have any new ones. They are the same every year. Great event for people that have just moved to the city or if you are just visiting.
S. A.
Not been for a few year, but never fails to deliver in fun and atmosphere 🎡
E. E.
Very fun with lots of activities that are quite fun and enjoyable but sometimes scary
E. W.

Absolutely fantastic traveling fair. It's so large it takes a good few hours to get round it all.
I. B.
Just a lot of rides, fun fair games and greasy food. Won't be going again.
P. S.
Great day out with the Grandchildren. Lovely food, sights and smells. Long may it continue. Thank you to the fair ground community.
S. S.
First time going in about 6 years, had a brilliant night. My only suggestion would be more bins, other than that it was well organised, smelt lovely and lots of smiles and laughter
S. B.
Definitely the place for people seeking a thrill ride! Also ideal for young families as it suits all ages and the atmosphere is great.
s. s.
Great atmosphere - we visit every year

Takes place in November in Nottingham. You will find a variety of rides and stalls. Well suited place for children and teens. Don't forget to bring your umbrella along as it can rain anytime. Car bumping is a must try here. There is no entry ticket. Tickets are only needed for rides, which will maximum cost £3. Some of the rides are really thrilling and some are just for children. Food stalls are yummy. Hot and fresh churoos with hot chocolate is all you need
M. W.
I love this space... The trees the parks and all the crows... I went to the thailand event, which despite the rain was enjoyable... Good place to bring the family especially as they have free parking
A. B.
Great as always! Not a superb range for vegans but some really good rides and a great family evening out! 😁
R. D.
BRILLIANT, fun, exciting time for adults, teens, children and families 100%
Love goose fair
J. G.
Very good. Best far in the UK. But to buzzy on the Saturday evening. Some places you carnt even move.
J. T.
The Goose fair is without a doubt the most expensive fair I’ve ever been to, however the atmosphere was brilliant and the food was pretty good, the chance to try a battered Oreo can also be found here.
Tips:
1. Street parking is everywhere so utilise it ! Otherwise you’ll have to spend £5 on parking
2. There are vouchers online that save 50p a ride PP so go and find them (some stalls won’t use them but most will
3. If you’re not skilful with a dart or a basketball (like me) but still want to win your partner a prize, there are “winner every time” stalls that are for you !
S. M.
Great fair, massive and lots for all ages. Was a bit expensive and parking was terrible
a. m.
I absolutely love the fair with all the rides and stalls, I can not go to the fair without having a bbq pulled pork cob and fresh spun candyfloss.
The only thing that I don't like about it is that it is quite expensive, but I have to say overall I love it,
F. C.
I just walked goose fair.
J. B.
Sick bruh
N. C.
Fantastic time, well worth a visit
G. S.
Simply put... World's Best Fair!! - Love it all!!
I. M.
Getting too old for this too noisy and too expensive
A. M.
First experience of Goose Fair and absolutely loved it. Took my 23 month old son who adored it too. Not sure what it would be like at night but felt very safe during the day. We will most certainly be back next year.
D. G.
A great fun day out! Go during the day for families, it's quieter and less rowdy. Always worth looking at the pre-booked discount tickets as there's a huge amount of things to do! And of course minty mushy peas which are just *so* Nottingham! Public transport (trams) run really frequently but are super busy so don't expect to grab a seat. All in all, a lot of fun!
M. A.
Absolutely amazing!! Absolutely awesome!! Everyone goes to Nottinghams biggest attraction tradition every year....it gets better every time.😉👍
J. M.

If you're in Nottingham during October, you can't miss out on this, it's the signature fair of Nottingham. Many rides, lively vibe, good food shacks. Do try the churros if you're around. Mushy peas are a cult favorite, but not something I would recommend.

T. S.
This is my favorite goose fair
B. G.
Nice open space for a walk with out being on anybody's way
p. t.
The goose fair has changed since I were a child going there in the 60s . I miss seeing the side shows and the stalls selling dolls with nottingham lace on them. The fair is all massive rides and food stalls. Apart from the peas and hot dog stalls the food stalls need to be more traditional. This is nottingham and should have more stalls in line with the older residents view of how it was. You could still have the techno rides.
f.
fun but expensive
