Looks beautiful but sadly can't enter and enjoy as a park

Best looking roundabout but horrendous to navigate. Lane markings where never clear which resulted in you being cut up all the time. Can get very busy on Saturday's resulting in long hold ups. Let's hope the year and half road works help a little. Makes a great place for a classic Plymouth photo.

old and abandoned... But looks very Beautiful ...

The ruins of Charles Church can be found at the centre of Charles Church Roundabout, close to the Primark end of Drake's Circus.
The Church, named in honour of King Charles I, was completed in 1708. It was destroyed by enemy action on 21st March 1941.
It was partially restored in 1952 as a memorial to those citizens of Plymouth who were killed in Air-Raids on the city in the 1939-45 War.
It is not open to the general public. However, there is a descriptive plaque outside Primark which gives the history of the site.

Stunning building by night. It's in the middle of a roundabout, so obviously not the most accessible of places. However, there is a plaque by the underpass which details its history should you want to find out more.

Sadly you can only look but can't touch!

A very historic church bombed by the German Luftwaffe during the blitz in the second world war. Not easy to get to though being in the middle of a roundabout.

Memorial to the Blitz in Plymouth set in centre of traffic roundabout. No facilities as such. Difficult to reach at times because of heavy traffic.

Built during the English Civil War and destroyed during the Blitz in the Second World War there is no access at the moment but there are plans in the pipeline to allow access.
