Reviews of Roman Baths Ribchester
Masonry walls of several rooms belonging to a Roman bath complex from the 2nd century CE. The museum contains informative and colourful displays about the prehistory and Roman history of Ribchester, using many archaeological finds from the site, including coins, sculpture and metalwork. There are also remains of the Roman fort and baths outside the museum. Regular events and temporary exhibitions take place throughout the year. Pre-booked guided tours and educational visits can be arranged by email.
Nice to see a piece of history in a local area. Something of interest for children and adults alike.
Definitely worth a visit incredible history
Nice to see some well kept Roman ruins. Not the biggest, but from the notice board you can see what was where. Complemented by the local museum which give a good insight to Roman Britain in the ribble valley.
Been going here regular since i was a very young child and now i take my own children. Beautiful little place amazing history by far my favorite picnic destination of summer
Nice little ruins. Not much to them, but a lovely place to visit on a nice day in a really beautiful village.
Fabulous place to share and experience history with grandchildren. Summer visits make for a great picnic in the beautiful gardens.
A beautiful Lancashire village with the Roman baths museum alongside the River Ribble . Well worth a car or cycle ride along some of the quiet roads of the Ribble valley.
Interesting remains of the Roman Baths.
Very poorly signposted for visitors however
Great to see some Roman ruins, informative diagram made it easy to identify what was what.
Access from the river side, which should be part of its feature and attraction, after all the river was why its there, is poorly maintained.
A piece of timeless historic Roman relic and a glimpse of how advanced the Romans were.
Interesting place to visit but not much to do
Lovely museum with a good interactive part.
